Taijuan Walker has not been good lately...

ladies and gentlemen something bothered me enough to stop my summer hibernation now I haven't been covering a lot of Phillies games because there are 162 in a year and talking about every single one is an arduous task as I write this however I'm watching the Phillies crumble against the Houston Astros as they're down 7 nothing Taiwan Walker pitched six Innings today giving up six runs and 13 hits it's a bad start something that Walker's incredibly familiar with at this point so to say that I'm surprised about this outcome with simply be an understatement Walker's stats are all just as abysmal especially after his time coming back from the injury list he's conceded three games and he's given up 18 runs during this stretch leading up to today that's an RA just south of 10 throwing in today's nightmare he is an erra just north of 12 but it's not just the stats watching him throw meatball after meatball for batters to just whack at is exhausting putting him on the mound nowadays is just asking for a guaranteed loss I don't know what's worse however seeing Walker consistently get starts in Innings despite his nightmarish performances or Topper's ignorance to let him get those innings in the first place the fact that topper continues to let Walker see the mound in a Philly's uniform is absolutely criminal the Phillies office will never admit that they made a mistake by giving Walker that Hefty $72 million contract over four years topper will happily give him Innings and double down on his mismanagement with the situation Tyler Phillips has looked better than Taiwan Walker and we have not seen him in a while kobby Allard looks better than Taiwan Walker and he's just been optioned to Triple A Spencer Turnbull is injured but even plagued with his injuries I'd rather see him on the mound at this point how many starts is Walker going to get before toppler finally gives him the boot I'm sure he's a decent guy but at some point the Phillies have to cut ties let's hope the day comes sooner rather than later before he hands us another loss they have to start taking the seriously if they want to win a World Series and Taiwan Walker is just not the guy
