half in particular gotten in great shape committed herself completely transformed her body and her game which transform her confidence a little bit wild that time on the forehand side from Erica and was committed to that forehand down the line great balance 14 15 well play serve into the corner only 101 milph but it's all about placement not always about power not too far off the the average Andrea again another deep return down the middle getting the short reply stepping up and finding the opening good racket head acceleration good height over the lowest part of the net too much there for gamees all just seems to have all HKS of being an absolute superstar in the game oh absolutely really even killed emotionally right I mean she stays focused you don't really see her getting anes not serving well at all only serving 55% of our first serves here in this opening set and and really only winning 58% of those it's a good one there great placement forcing Jane to take that second hand off of the racket G solids from Andrea as we get towards the a couple of days some more big headlines to be made over the next few hours I'm sure well a competitive match so far Erica really swinging freely though you can see her light on her feet using the whole Court using the Arsenal that she has the repertoire of shots really trying to find a way to win this match 30 love lovely serve first T of the match for Andrea she's not backing down is she no she's not she hadn't won a match here before she won her opening round match here this year she's on a roll she's ready to on Andrea Jang knows how to get the job done but Andrea has definitely been holding her own here in this match showing Great Signs of consistency a good swing at that one Paul was sitting right in her wheelhouse dumped it in the bottom of the net yeah she fancied that one eyes lit up there but it is potentially a tie break the required destination here 40 love there we go with a thank you very much and on the other hand jang's going what was that every Point counts well she did get there but it just couldn't apply the Finishing Touch yeah but tried to go over the highest part of the net she was already on the sideline so perhaps she should have gone back Cross Court to the largest part of the Court squeezing that down the line wasn't a big marsin mirror wow and it's not great timing for that third double false of the set and it's a terrific start in this tie break for Andrea as P Reba just looks a little bit concerned in the the Jane Camp well uncharacteristic for Jang here in the tie break with the unforce sers gets one back 31 has nine unfor stairs here and three of them were in the tie break [Music] 4 good serve to find and couldn't quite get the strings on that one the Chinese number one couple of big points here though behind her own serve just to to try and get a back in the conversation first server slightly disappeared for her in this breaker good second serve though and you well done and she's got a positive record in terms of tie breaks this year has Jun she's one six lost two oh Nails this one perfect placement spy and dver who's just a couple of points away from taking a big step in this match oh drop L that was trouble wasn't it bra right off the strings that's what I call a drop L I'm good at those we all are yeah trying to change it up out of position on the Baseline easy pickings for Jang certainly was got there with time to spare but it is Andrea who moves to set points Andre let's see if she can close it out pressure on Jang definitely needs a first serve well could there be an upet Brewing on ground stand in the sunshine Erica and dra takes the first set here need to get something going here to oh 15 double fault right away well stocked ice cold water 5 oh big serve from Zang 7eventh e of the match did a lot of time to sit there and think about what she can do better here in this second match to turn this match around 13 she to say listen I'm not that far off I lost his set in a tie break so I'm not playing bad but I know I need to do some things better I served well in the first set but I didn't really take control of the match I need to tweak some things starting off with a great Opening Service game so where her Focus needs to be is on the return game what do I need to do to break my opponent we'll find out from Jen who at 1 [Applause] love the driver camp full love good stuff from Andrea wasting no time at all getting back on to level terms showing no signs of backing down still no I like her poison out there I like her Focus you know she's really taking her time in between the points even the way that she's look at the the shadow Strokes here she's showing her energy that she's focused she has a game plan and she's sticking to it lot of it's a couple of double folds of snuck in at the start of this second set for Jun well again that's the end of the Court where the Sun is up to her right it is still quite Breezy down there could be affecting a toss as well solid from Andrea just doing everything right at the moment putting the microscope on her opponents six points in a row she's [Music] won nice aggressive play from Jang taking the ball out of the air and moving forward I think that's what she has to do she needs to put more pressure on Andrea rush her a bit more playing from the Baseline and giving Andrea the time that she has is not cutting it but when she has played aggressive and moved forward she's drawing the errors from Andrea 30 [Music] better power there from just had a bit more zip on those Strokes rushing and D serving well another first serve with close this game out for her oh good return but unable to apply the the follow-up touch and dver trying to keep Pang at Bay here [Applause] 5 left another nice start from Andrea she's really playing with poise out here very relaxed very confident wellplayed serve oh she has a game plan and she's sticking to it not a lot of errant shots 1 overcook that backand down the line go outstanding play moving forward with purpose and this is what I was talking about the things that she needs to do on her return games now putting more pressure on the server nice aggressive return moving forward being a little more aggressive beautiful return and a nice finish at the net too much behind it too many occasions she's just slightly lost her radar in this match Shen I mean this wasn't out by much at all just enough there's no doubt she can deal with a lot of pressure she of course delivered China's very first Olympic tennis gold medal 4 [Applause] first serve percentage continuing to drop here in this set for Andrea some pressure now on the shoulders of Andrea down to 40% Tatiana Govan looks of concern now she looks on at her pupil oh beautifully disguised from Andrea advantage and really has Jen back on her heels well beyond the Baseline looked as if she was about to just kill that forehand and just drops it over delicately with the dropper [Applause] oh still some work to be done there is Erica's mom always watching somewhere Advantage pressure now starting to build up for Andrea break point opportunity here for Jang first one in this set well it is the break through that's what she's been searching for and will that just give her a big big boost in this second set three games to one second set a s of very last second to cut underneath the shot well disguised 14 15 just finding her spots with more regularity now is Jang so she just work things out in her own mind the tactics she's going to employ here moving forward up to 10 Aces now that's good numbers for ser percentage looking good and it's improving as I think it is going to have a little precipitation later this evening so J back on top here in this second set we'll see if she can stay in control here DVA has to a little work to do to get back in this second set oh fif trying that inside out forehand just losing control a little bit there Jang must hold here for Andra just to keep herself in the hunt in set number two [Applause] J it's very tough when you are the underdog in a match you've won the first set playing a top 10 player you go down a break now you start to think about the score line the pressure's on and then the UN Force there start to creep in the play you start thinking about winning and or not losing you see the body language has changed just a little bit on the this side of the court from Andrea little sluggish moving a little slower oh well done there good balance 1350 she has to stay positive has to stay focused on what the game plan is it's just a break one break of serve that's all it is great strike just up in the anti there how she'd love another break here to all but cement this second set 14 not this [Applause] time it appears that she's just moving a little slower right doesn't seem like she has the pep in her step that she did early on in this match even that she this is the first serve the shoulders appear to be drooping a little bit just misses that shot up the line easy to do but you're upet so you have to stay positive right you have to stay motivated and this is where you know becoming that next level player emotionally it's a learning process oh wow big shot from Jen advantage that was not a pushover serve either 97 miles hour Jang was right there good extension nice shot from Andrea well that would have been some shot had Jen made that one but Andrea holding firm oh a lot of power came off the racket of Jen on that forcing that error from Andrea they just knocking on the door big time here the seventh seat is getting louder as the average serve game duration for set two is just looking a bit Hefty now for and dver 4 minutes 43 another tough game bullseye followed up with that consistency at the moment is the issue well on one side it's consistency or lack thereof from Andrea and then consistency from Jen who's really feeling it she's back in her Rhythm feeling very confident excellent play and she is a game away from leveling up this tussle now giant leads five games to one second set much more like it from the number seven seat it's just feeling it once again 5-1 she leads well again she wasn't that far off in the first set right it was a tie break please ladies and gentlemen aak early got serve just wasn't able to really pull away found her Rhythm here in the second set andreis game fell off a bit it's not over yet please thank you for taking the closest seat to you thank you Cecil alberty just trying to take control of a few fans making their way in for the the end of this second set be in love very effective there Ace number 12 in this match back to back you think she's still in it I think she might be as she all cylinders but you know what coming off of the 10-minute break these players have had a chance to go into the locker room they've even had a chance to take a quick shower cool off dry off it's very humid out so you know get some fresh clothes on and just really look at the mirror and and reassess what it is they need to do so we'll see how they come out here and and get things going as we've seen on these couple [Music] points [Applause] 15 it's not a time for them to go and be with their coaches it's really just for them to cool off get some dry clothes on and and get back out here and and get back to business let forve 15 couple of great points here and you have to say the players are all fit but when you look at an Andrea I'm not questioning her Fitness [Applause] not physically but it's the mental part right with the Fitness in this heat and the pressure of the major you know she won her first round of this major for the first time now she's in the second round playing the number seven C the Olympic gold medalist and Australian Open finalist there's a lot of other factors that come into this that are weighing her down let for you the first set was almost an hour there a lot of other factors that come into this that she's up against and and then she drops the second set you know 40 minutes was a long time for 61 loss how does she rebound here in this final set let for oh it's a let that's been called didn't quite hear that sandraa I know she's like wait what she was it was a terrific serve but clearly did just catch the the net my best serve of the match Busey needed that big bold striking there another look at redirecting this forehand down the line good balance great extension of the racket good racket HCK speed good patient play again from Andrea advantage and error coming from the racket of the seventh seed five minute game to kick off this deciding set for [Music] a little overeager to take that one off yeah you can be a little anxious sometimes trying to finish things off so you have to always just stay composed stay in the moment don't get ahead of yourself advantage j chance again breako number three comes and goes finding some very good tennis with her back against the wall here Erica and draver another deep ball down the middle of the Court Andre trying to force the shot they're just starting to stack up aren't they these break points in this lengthy game seven and a half minutes now oh what a great combination from Andrea beautiful combination drop shot and then the Top Spin LOB great execution good racket head acceleration on that finds another way to to see off another break point that's four that have slipped through the fingers now of Jen back to juice but that is just a little bit easy from mraa fifth break point coming that slips on by again View and suddenly this very first game of the deciding set feels like a very very important one juice number five so good that's one of the best constructed points we've seen from Jen and there's an excited fan about it as well see in the middle of the Court really controlling it great body control shoulder shoulder turn look at that racket head acceleration driving the ball through the court when you're in the middle of the court and you're able to redirect the ball with such ease you know you're on your game big chance here break point number six for Jang and that comes and goes huge game this is turning it so many opportunities for Jang here in this game Andrea is hanging in [Music] there the unfor sers have been creeping into play here for Jen only three here in this set or in this game one more than Andrea all on the break points though for Jen that's a tough shot to try to redirect down the line J and dver trying to drive that ball down the line should have taken it back crosscourt gets another chance that little bit of frustration just creeping out here for Andra as this one went wide there there goes the racket breakpoint number seven will this one do the trick it does seventh Time Lucky just waiting patiently for a few more fans to make their way in thank you for sitting quickly players are waiting in you come oh good catch in the crowd there very sharp than 15 love good play for the New York Mets outfielder 1 solid well she just going to keep her foot on the gas here Jen I mean she's really serving well and I think that's something that it's obviously kept her in the match and has propelled her to move ahead in this that's her that is her weapon of choice she's got 14 Aces 85% of our first serves in the match 13 15 oh 14 [Applause] 15 just trying to find the answers right now Erica and DV she still has time certainly to to turn this around it's going to be easy with that sort of serving from Jen pinpoint accuracy from Jen today J Le two games to love final set I mean with a serve like that on the hard courts it's she's going to be difficult to beat as she goes deeper into this tournament you know you look at a player like that who just won on the clay at roling gals speeding the top players and now transitioning back to the hard courts if she can keep that rhythm going and and really find her Rhythm on the ground strokes here it's going to be a tough opponent ahead and dven now being distracted by things the movement earlier in the match did not bother her now she's being distracted by the movement the movement has been happening throughout the entire match so now you can see the focus or lack thereof at this later stages of the match right [Applause] [Applause] well she lost out at the the second round stage at Wimbledon earlier this season that was her previous best ever performance at a grand slam ER rraa lost out to Donna vage in the second round on the grass clever shot really does have that one in the locker she's played that so well well the one thing that Andrea likes is the two-handed drop shot when she's moving forward she executes it extremely well if she's leaning back backwards it tends to go a little high and it becomes a drop Lop up the line sat there invitingly was good control there from Jen [Applause] was wise to it was Jen got up to it but it was nicely played by the serving numbers from Jen throughout this one 15 Aces so far 85% of First Service points being won that is a very good number [Music] indeed sharp on the return yeah not quite able to drag it back into contention there and dver 15 all great combination beautiful combination it all started with the Deep return down the middle from Andrea pinpointing jien on the Baseline and then she took control with the corner and then the drop shot it's all about combinations putting those combinations together to your advantage but that just helps her so much time and time again finding that big first serve 82% of First Service points being one there's another that is vicious out wi so beautifully placed 16th Ace she can flatten it out she can slice it doesn't hasn't perfected the kick serve though if she puts that in her Arsenal I mean she's really going to be dangerous I like this resilience though from Erica Andrea these are Big moments for her [Music] Turing once again from Jen now she is a couple of games away from a hard win four games to two final set has been very consistent in her service games really has not been threatened since the first
