good evening everyone welcome to the Chiefs digest live Q&A on Tuesday I am Matt Derek as it says right there uh great to see 703 I guess is the official time so um we get the under on Brandon's usual time of setting when I do get here so almost on time I thought I was gonna make it um but just a couple of minutes late tonight but uh we got some great stuff hopefully to talk about some good news with uh uh BJ Thompson if in case you haven't heard that he went home last night yesterday uh got to sleep in his own bed he is back home and prognosis is all good um probably still a little early to talk about football was not at practice today so I expect it it will be a a little bit of time we'll see you know what the future holds but um just absolutely incredible that he's doing as well as he is um I know everybody with the team is obviously very happy for him and relieved that he's in good shape um I relieved that this year we do not I do not know this year for example what the fines are for missing mandatory mini camp because Chiefs don't have anybody missing the mandatory mini camp right now um that's a a great step forward for me uh I think for the Chiefs obviously for all of you as well without having to deal with the drama of uh who's there and who's not there um the only players um my recollection if I remember everything correctly today from the list just six players that were not practicing um just the only two that were not there is Joe Toney who's obviously continuing to rehab from the pectoral surgery and hasn't been out there he's been in the building doing his rehab however and Harrison buter who has been sick the last couple of days so um those were excused obviously not even really in Joe in Joe's case of being excuse because he's he's there doing his work on the rehab side um everybody else was there including guys that we haven't seen yet at least in the open media practices like a cadarius Tony uh Clyde Edward hair there uh some guys who have missed some of the open media practices like a Chris Jones and a Travis Kelce who have been at OTAs um they are and were there um on Tuesday so nobody missing from that standpoint um the only people uh missing and I say missing who are there we not practicing just looking at my list to make sure I don't miss anybody Xavier worthy who continuing to do his uh mental rep thing along with Matt Nei on the sideline today he's he's still engaged but just uh not practicing don't expect to see him the next couple of days so I think that obviously the next time we will see Xavier Worthy on the field will be at the rookie mini camp to begin training camp in St Joe um which I think you can bet starting say mid July I think that's the best hint I can give you for right now um uh three defensive linemen obviously BJ Thompson was one of them Charles and minue and derck nauy were there um just simply not practicing today so those three and like I said Harrison bucker Joe tuny and Xavier worthy so a very short list of people who were not practicing uh for the team on Tuesday that's uh about as much of a full that's a as Full House as you could basically get for um mandator mini camp and with the injuries that the Chiefs have and guys who are coming back so um very productive day it looked to me as far as it goes um be glad to answer any questions that you all have I know there's already some questions in the queue um Clinton Scott thank you very much for the kind words the the the best Q&A on YouTube I don't know about that but if you want to say it I will allow you to and uh I might I might use it in promotional materials if you if you don't mind um but thank you for the Super Chat and asking the question as come Haden making a case to play early and often um Clinton I would say right now for me it's a it's too early to say that is a very deep position group I mean there's no doubt about it um and and right now Jaylen Watson is is practicing but he's not been a full go he's had a little bit of a muscle tweak himself so um he hasn't been a full go but you know we've been seeing Trent McDuffy and Joshua Williams running with the first team um since Tuesday's practice was open to some season ticket holders and uh there's a little bit different rules for what's on the record and off the Record so I can probably answer a few more depth questions today um Nick when he joins us later today was an off day for him so he he could not be at practice today so um he won't have any direct observations but obviously he'll be able to answer so many other questions too but um if if you have any depth chart questions I will be more lenient today on some of the answers and uh if anybody has any problem with that I'll just say hey it was an open practice um and many people of the general public got to see it so if they get to see it I can tell you about some things that happened um so in that case you know Haden is is running with the third team right now which is perfectly fine I mean you know considering that in front of him you know we're talking about guys whove played for a while so Nick Jones um the Chiefs are seeing what they've got right now and Kelvin Joseph and Keith Taylor both of whom have been playing extremely well um Echo boo is in that group too so you know for Haden to be playing behind them is not a bad sign uh I still think he has an excellent chance of making the roster how much he's gonna play I mean he he has some learning and growing to do I think you know Dave Meritt and and Steve spag no kind both have said that um he's I I think could be a very effective obvious special teams player there's roles for him on this team team um you know there's going to be injuries we'll see what happens I like had he made two great plays today um me once again grab my notes so I can uh speak intelligently without just you know making up nonsense and everything but uh it was during the seven I'm trying ref was seven on seven um I believe that it was because I'm not seeing at the end of the um 11 out 11 what yep um let's see 17 made a play on Travis Kelce was a high throw so it wasn't really a pass defense there but he did make a good play on against Travis um and now oh there we go yep it was the last two plays of the seven on seven um one was a Nick Foles pass for jiren Hayek that he knocked away um I remember jiren just kind of looking at his hands and like where' the ball go um but that was because Kamal had knocked it out of his hands and on the very next play the last one um Ian book uh throwing a ball to Lewis Ree zamit and hadn't broke that up one very physical just knocked it completely out of his hands knocked it away from him a couple of great plays so you keep making plays like that if you're Haden you're actually GNA make make this team so I I like his chances how much to play early and often I mean I think it's going to depend on injuries more than anything else I think there's other players in front of him obviously McDuffy uh Williams right now I think Watson will be included in that Nick Jones um then you get to the next category where I think it's probably you know a little bit more challenging I mean that's probably where Haden falls into the conversation but he's going to have to battle some guys like you know Taylor and Joseph and those guys are veterans so that helps them there's a challenge for both of those guys too and that you know they've been around a little bit they have a track record their track record hasn't been great they're playing really well right now is that because as Sharon would share with us it's got a question coming up here in a moment and Nick tells us upco you know pads come on things go things go badly so um we'll see with both those guys you know how they look and how how Haden plays when the pads come on U I'm I'm really interested but I think he's the summ it up Clinton I think he's looked really good at times I think he's had some rookie moments at times looking at the depth chart I think he's exactly where you would expect him to be not you know just for for where he was drafted I wouldn't expect him to be coming in and all of a sudden running with the twos and competing for a starting spot um but is he putting himself into a good position yeah I mean I think he absolutely is he's making more good plays than bad and that's definitely a plus for a rookie at that spot in that position um he was running opposite miles battle today and that's another guy I'm really interested because miles battle is I I say he's huge I think he's only listed at 6'3 he feels taller than that but um he's a really big Corner um and I'm interested in him and so thought you had a second question there with your Super Chat uh does the new kickoff create a situation where more jumbo athletes are kept on roster instead of Gunners more safeties linebackers less Corners is a six safety like a Dean or a bush beating out a Nick Jones that is a great question and one that I mean I I I will be interested to see how it plays out because I think you're absolutely right you are not going to need as many Gunners as you used to uh obviously punt return teams are going to be the same they're they're the same as they've always been so you still will want to have some fast guys that can run down field and bottle up punt returners but do you need as many you know guys as you used to have that just Sprint downfield on kickoffs to be able to to sty a kick returner no I mean it's more of a scrimmage play going forward and and I think you are going to see more safeties and linebackers and fewer corners and receivers on Kick teams like that um you might see somebody like a resam it because I think he is you know multi-purpose enough to to maybe play some defense a little bit I mean because of his background in rugby um football tackling is a little bit different but I wouldn't be surprised if they found a role for him but yeah I mean could this be that the Chiefs are more likely to to keep an extra safety or an extra linebacker yeah and I think they're built for that um you know a Deon Bush for instance or a Trey Dean which a very good example those are are two guys that will definitely I think be in that kind of spot for a fifth and a sixth safety um you know hey do you keep one or both of them because they're more reliable special teams tacklers and bigger players than say an extra Corner yeah I mean that's I can make definitely make the case for that um the Chiefs are GNA have a lot of linebackers too so um you know it's not just like a jack Cochran um cam Jones I think's got an excellent chance to make this team as a backup um Cole Christensen I think would absolutely be in that conversation too if you're talking about keeping six um Cole's probably I would say more of a practice squad candidate the name to really probably watch the one that you know Nick and I have been talking about in addition to you know cam Jones who i' I've been really impressed with and the Chiefs are clearly impressed with him too as far as you know letting him play multiple positions right now including the Mike position um even though I'd say Jack Cochran would be the the third at your at your middle linebacker behind Bolton and and tranquil I think you know Cochran would still be your guy there and he can play multiple spots too and is obviously a great special teams guy but um Curtis Jacobs the the kid from Penn State very good young player um I I I think with you know a little bit different circumstances I think he had an injury coming out too uh probably could have and should have been drafted but he has looked very good not only on defense but on special teams too so I think that he's another one like that but Clinton that's why I say special teams is going to be something to really watch in training camp to see how you know especially once they're able to get the pads on and and go a little B full go you're still not hitting full go your own teammates in a training camp practice but um those practices and the preseason games and how these players play out going to go a long way to determining you know kind of what your strategy is and what if the strategies that you have are going to work I expect that not every team is going to have the same strategy there's going to be a couple of different ones out there and we'll see what prevails but roster building as far as dealing villing with the the new kickoff rule Clinton is going to be a significant thing and I think you make the point there that um because of the kickoff rule I think it will benefit safeties and linebackers probably at the expense of Corners so we will see what happens um Sharon one of our great members here uh interested in all your observations but especially K KT and the defensive line um a couple of notes there I'll start with KT K's Tony assum I'm assuming who you're talking about there Sharon um if not correct me I scroll down I'm trying to think of the other kts on the team um but yeah um KT this the first time we've seen him out there um I don't think that I saw him rotating in with the ones he was he was playing more on the second and third teams uh he did have a catch I know he had a drop as well um it was his first practice out there so little bit of grain of salt but I mean I would still say that he's in a you know unique position there I mean I think he's still in that second tier group that I've been talking about you know competing for a spot so it's him it's it's Sky Moore it's Nico rigio Montell Washington's in that group Cornell Powell has again played himself into that spot you know Cornell Powell's always always seems like he really just has great offseason workouts and seems like every year is the year that maybe this is the Cornell Powell year and he's certainly putting himself in that position once again um with a great off season so you know we'll see he's he's kind of putting himself into that spot um but there's a group there five or six receivers that are going to be competing I I have Kadarius in that group and nothing today would change my mind um he was very sharp during the Special Teams period you know when they were he was they they were working on the first team punt return today and you just see I mean when KT's got the ball in his hands even if there there's not anybody out there I mean he moves he's fast he's quicker than everybody else that they're considering for that spot so you know is that a way that cadarius Tony makes this team through punt returns yeah it absolutely is so um that's probably bulk of my observations on KT today I mean I didn't think that we saw a lot from him that is probably because since he was not here during OTAs they're just managing his workload a little bit let's see what happens when they get the training camp I think that's when we'll probably see more work from him but um didn't just didn't see as as as much today as I think that we you know could from just getting any any conversation uh or making really any conclusions on him um defensive line I mean it's as we we we talk about every week during otaa Sharon it's really hard when you came don't have pads on you can't have contact about how the the lines look um you know I can say that now that we are a little bit more freedom like I said on the talking about depth charts I can say that um you know the I think the depth chart is what it is I think it's what you would expect so H Mike Dan George car lofas starting on the ends with Chris Jones back Chris Jones and ton Wharton um you Mike panel has been mixing in there with Chris out so obviously he's a big part of the MI still think you want to manage his snaps for the long term and I think one of the things we saw um on on Tuesday is kind of indicative of that you know I I I feel like that the Chiefs still need to be looking at adding defensive indepth and and they did have a defensive Edge today as one of four tryy out players um but you know they also had three potential defensive tackles in as you know for as try out bases and let me grabb my list in case you didn't see it out on social media today but um Jackson Cravens formerly of BYU Rashard Lawrence of LSU brevan Allen from Campbell and Alex Goober from uh Montana uh from where Grizz um they were in for they're in for tryouts for this three-day period uh we'll see if anybody makes them you usually maybe one of these guys from a try out you know sticks on to the team and the fact that ch's have four Tri out players and they all defensive linemen tells me that Brett V thinks that they need some more depth so um wouldn't be a surprise if they signed one of these four guys as a defensive lineman just add depth going into training camp I think they're definitely telling us they need some depth at defensive tackle um with BJ Thompson situation and you don't know when he's coming back that might be a spot where you also need some depth I mean for instance I don't think it's a permanent thing but Neil Thell who is a defensive tackle was getting some reps further on down at defensive end today and I think that was probably more to do with you know not having BJ Thompson and having a little bit of because remember you know right now this line is missing Derek nauy and Charles minue expecting naughty back before om minue but you know you had BJ Thompson to the list and you're challenged a little bit as far as numbers even for a practice so yeah I I I I'm I'm I'm I've got my eye on that I mean that's where I think that the Chiefs and if this team is going to add a veteran I think there's two potential veteran positions out there I mean know one is obviously if they get into training camp they're going to be looking at left tackle and if they don't think Kings Ley suaria or W Morris or anyone else can handle the left tackle spot they'll look for a veteran and and I think they could look for a veteran depth Edge and I think we even tackle now I think we're kind of even getting to that point so um let's keep an eye on it but yeah Sharon that's kind of how I at least I saw those two you know groups today KT and the defensive line um Kathy another one of our members sounds like what they like what they see in Wy and Nico uh yeah um talk about two two players who have had a great offseason period and once again had good days on Tuesday um Nico had an absolutely incredible play I think it was I think it was Carson Wentz that he had he combined with on this one uh it was a broken play went and let me see if I can find it in my notes so I can tell you who the whole thing was I starred that one for sure yep there it is um he was in the red zone it was with Wentz um I think it looks like I think that's Kell I won't throw anybody under the bus on the coverage unless I can verify that I think it who who it was I don't like I said don't want to throw anybody else into the bus but I'm pretty yeah it was Kelvin Joseph um and Joseph really wasn't anything he could do about it it was a broken play he was on Nico uh had good defense on him uh Wentz kind of moved out of the pocket a little bit to the right to buy some time he and and Rio just made a great combination uh there was just kind of a a signal a point and Nico starts backing up into the corner of the end zone Wentz tosses it to him and and Nico made the catch on just a a little Fade Into the corner of the end zone um Joseph I mean there was nothing he could do about it I mean it was a perfectly thrown ball Nico makes a great catch you know backpedaling out of the corner of the end zone um that was my play of the day for the offense it was a it was a great play so um yeah Nikos looked great Wy today made a couple Jared Wy made a couple of fantastic um catches on some high passes and that's exactly what the Chiefs need they were both in the Red Zone I mean these were balls that quarterback puts it up to Wy and he was the only guy that could get it um there was one one of them with Nick Bol was in coverage and um hey I'm the biggest Nick Bolton stand out there but Nick was going to need a ladder to catch that one and Jared Wy didn't he was able to just Elevate up and get it he's got obviously some some good skills in addition to the height and I'm I think there's a lot of potential there with Wy he has had a I I think a great off season coming in as a rookie um Nico has absolutely picked up where he left off and and is continuing to build things I will Kathy I'm going to use this in as a as a leaping off when talking about Nico um I might get an opportunity later and Nick's going to come in here in a moment I know he's in the green room right now but um as always Gotta Give gotta give Nick wait till I get my my my thumbs up before I bring Nick in and the conversation but um the the thing that I noticed on Tuesday in particular is that having Hollywood Brown and Rashi rice on the field at the same time with all of these other receivers uh it REM it it reinforces in me something that I probably should have acknowledged because if you've been listening to the these this and the 41 is mic podcast you know I I talk about the three tiers of receivers and to me there's the um there's the the receivers at the top that are like 90% to make the roster and I probably should break that into another tier and to four tiers of receivers because um [Music] Hollywood Brown and Rashid rice are different cats I mean they belong in a different category I think Xavier Worthy is going to be in that conversation too once we get him onto the field but it was just evident today that you watch Hollywood Brown move you watch Rashid rice move both with and without the football their ability to to catch the ball in stride and their movements uh I mean it is just so fluid fluid I mean they're in that Travis Kelce conversation I mean it's just they're Top Flight receivers and so I mean I I kind of almost feel like that now yeah I probably need to have a separate conversation to just say Okay Hollywood brand rashed rice are number oneish receivers maybe they'll you know play at the number two level I don't know what they're going to do but they are they're heads and shoulders above everybody else um you know Justin Watson still might be I might should I would still consider 90% to make this roster but he's not in their category you know we'll see when Xavier worthy starts playing if he's in their category but um those two cats are just different I mean they are Elite and so you know that's that's not to knock anybody in the third tier that's not to knock the the niik rigos and the kader's Tony and the sky Moors and the Montrell Washingtons and the Cornell powels but they're just they're not as close I mean they they've had some good moments but then you get Rashid rice and Hollywood Brown out there and they're just different players so uh that my little quick quick little observational rant not really a rant or anything but just just observation so now it's time to open out our hi Nick Jacobs Nick hi welcome to the party hi it's good to be here there wasn't a there wasn't any fruit in the Green Room super disappointed by that Matt need to work I didn't see the fruit in your riter I mean I'll definitely take care of that I mean no I mean hey you know I'm at hi ve every week you know maybe you can work something out with them can I can get you do I mean like the Rolling Stones you need some M&M's but no brown ones in there or you know I'm not that difficult if it's free I'm I'll I'll eat it unless it's something terrible that I won't I do is anything on your mind Nick no it was a nice off day that's what that was J nice off day not not out there sweating and the the I mean it's not it wasn't hot today but it was hotter than it's been oh I know it was that's what I saw in the weather report so I made decisions I was like how do I want to spend my off day Nick made a business decision huh I mean technically it's my off day so I mean I'm not you know I'm I uh I chose to go get the oil change I I did grocery shopping early this morning um then I went around and did some stuff around town so I was running around most of the day there you go you you can't be that so sorry I did not uh I did not observe Chiefs mandatory mini camp today but I'll be there tomorrow if that makes anybody feel better and I mean I I doubt there's much different that I'm gonna see today that I would have saw today other than the past three weeks and then rookie Camp I don't think anything was going to be drastically different yeah I mean I I say I mean really the biggest thing to me is that you know you you've talked about the advantage that we get during OTAs of you know with the once a week you kind of get to see who makes the leaps from week to week you know with this this week at least we get two practices you know the third practice is is just going to be um the conditioning test so there's not a real practice or anything they're going to go out there and run their gassers which they don't let us watch even though I think that would be fascinating to watch but Andy won't let us watch them but um you get to see consistency well and also the tell them what the for those that don't know what is what is the what is the purpose of the conditioning I mean well I think there some of the players who would question the the purpose of the conditioning but let's just say I mean the purpose of the conditioning I mean is it's Andy Reid's way of of making sure that you are fit and in shape and and able to handle training camp well but if I remember correctly and I could be wrong on this but whatever your times are on Thursday if I remember correctly you're supposed to at least be at or pretty close to the same ballpark when training camp happens oh yeah no you can't you can't you can't slide back so so that's why I wonder sometimes how many guys are like hey I'm gonna gonna throttle back here for a second or two because when training camp rolls around I'm gonna need it and and the conditioning test is a little like Las Vegas I mean you know it's maybe BET fight club nobody talks about Fight Club nobody talks about conditioning test so getting the the guys will talk about the conditioning test and how much it stinks but getting anybody to tell you the specifics about the the condition in test like how many gaster they have to run and what their times are and everything like that nobody wants to talk about that and I mean at least the only thing at least I've been told is that Andy has made it um less stringent than it used to be so it's a little it's it's not as bad as it used to be but you know it's just just you know hand inand with the NFL you know practices aren't you don't have two a days anymore Nick so you know what are you gonna do but I just remember Dwayne Bo didn't pass his conditioning test a couple times a long time ago up at St Joe think it was like two or three days and I think I I mean and and for those who don't know and I may have some of it wrong too Nick so you you may may correct me here but there's X number of gassers that players have to run and there's x amount of time that they have and my understanding is I I I'm not I don't think the the number is different but the time is different so like each position group has its own time that it has to run its its gassers in and everything and you know obviously there's a least the legendary story about you know Tyreek his rookie year just running circles and loop-de-loops and figure eights in between everybody was running their gassers and you know most guys are trying to get their gassers in before they throw up and Tyreek was just you know it was well it's like Sunday night Sunday afternoon in the park and he's just you know tooling around with his dog um some guys can eat it up and it's just pretty easy for them others it's not and and for those who don't know Nick a gaster is running from one sideline to the other and then back again because just just once is a half gaster and then back is a full gaser right yes um yeah but it's it's a it's at full speed it's full speed and you're down a some guys do it from a receiver stance some guys do it from a three-point stance but sprinting as hard as you can from one sideline you're sprinting as hard as you can back to the other sideline and I can tell you from experience if you've got a uh if you've got an ankle injury you really feel that one pretty quickly if you I mean I'm trying I'm trying to remember I don't know if we' ever I've ever seen gassers in a in a football movie but I always think of the movie Miracle when when her Brooks was absolutely at his wits end with his team who was getting ready to just you know boot everybody off the 1980 ypc team and and in that movie and he has them skating I guess skating gassers essentially from from one end of the Ring to the other and then back again and you know the coach blowing the whistle all that that's how football gasters are I mean except it's on grass and not ice but yeah I will say though that like gassers is actually pretty Universal in a lot of ways to where it's in B you do it in basketball you can do it in hockey you can do it in football it's actually one know if you had Gast on skates yeah gasters are pretty normal and and everything I mean baseball yeah every sport but I didn't know if you had them I didn't know if you called them that in in hockey they may not they may not call it that but it's it's the same concept from a conditioning perspective there you go all right well if you have nothing else we will jump into it and uh Jesus thank you for the for the the Super Chat thank you very much uh apologies you had to wait a little bit there to get your answer but um Luis ree zamit I think is there is the starting returner much success thank you very much for the kind words there Jesus um too early to say um today was not a super long um kick return I mean I think I blinked and missed it today so um I mean Dave Tob said they're going to do it every single day um I probably like I said maybe I blinked and missed it I saw a field goal uh day today which was kind of because Nick nick uh Harrison bucker was sick today um Nick was not kicking field goals Nick could have kicked field goals today um had he if he was there because Harrison butter was not so uh Luis Ree zamit and Justin Reed handled the the pat duties for that so um and there was a punt return period I don't even think I don't think I saw a kick return period Nick so maybe maybe uh Dave to TI had to take a day off on that one um well when you've got when you've got season ticket holders out there there's probably certain certain things he maybe maybe certain things you don't want to show but don't want and don't want ask you know don't want it accidentally getting out there and uh and and but Dave to has mentioned Louis reamon as an option and obviously we've talked about I mean he makes sense um sizewise skill set wise speed wise um I mean the only thing I think he's going to need to to prove based based on what we've seen at this point I mean to me the the two things that I need to see LS ree Amit show me at this point is that one he can perform in front of a crowd that he can catch a football when and not just a rugby ball but he can catch a football bouncing all over the place in front of a lot of people I mean I think he can but he's just going to need to prove that he can and two I need to see him hold on to a football when he gets a snot knocked out of him so hasn't had either one of those opportunities yet so I mean there's going to there's maybe there's going to be other things he needs to prove but those are the two big things I need to see Nick yeah no I my biggest concern is that his Pad level if it's too high whenever he takes a hit just what kind of jolts that going to be when he hits the ground and how does he bounce back up or how does he how does he react after uh after he potentially gets laid out whether that's in a preseason game or in a training camp so that that's going to be my number that's my number one question how does he respond when he when he gets hit the first time and then getss hit a handful of times and then gets hit a whole bunch of times get hit a whole bunch of times he still just as quick then or how's he how's he doing then does he kind of does he kind of shy from it does he get a little bit jittery or um does he enjoy the contact like those are all those are all things I'll be very intrigued to see yeah I I I will be as well um and most of the questions that I have with uh with with this young man is going to be what happens when he gets hit so yeah um but I mean hey like I think that was Isaiah Pacho said you know about that when we talked about him today and he's like well he's tackled people without pad so I I I think he can handle that kind of stuff so we shall see we shall see um Jackson of the new additions this season who has created the most chemistry with momes so far um I mean that's I'm guessing that's somewhat of an easy question for me Nick I I was interested to see what you think from OTAs what would be your observation hey before we do that let's do something fun that Cho one let's run that while we're talking all right well we'll run this for you bam okay so I just thought this would be a nice little change up since we learned how to do this stuff last week so it could be on while we're while we're chatting um yeah I mean I'd say more than anything I mean like I think ni rigos had a lot and this is from today with kader's Tony out there um but I would say more than anything else I think Nico Rio and Mahomes got some good working together obviously I think whenever Jared wy's been able to work with Mahomes I think that's been good for him um among everything else I I'm I'm really intrigued to see what worthy and Mahomes can do together come training camp time but I mean Mahomes and Hollywood Brown I mean those two those two are already I mean the I don't think you're going to have the same problems that you had with uh Valdez scantling I just don't think there's going to be the same problem and same situation to where looks like they're not on the same page I mean Brown's going to catch up to the football Brown and Mahomes they're I think they're much more on point like Mahomes and guju were early on in their in their tandem together so um that that's that's my take on that one yeah I mean I mean I think my easy answer is Hollywood I mean just because you know you just if you're just talking about the new additions obviously we haven't seen anything with Xavier worthy yet so that's that's an X Factor and I would imagine that by the time that we get to to training camp I mean it'll probably still be a little bit and you know um I think it'll still be probably clear that it's probably Hollywood I mean there still be some work to go between these those two um all right we get we get rid of that video want to get rid of it we can we can still keep watching but no it's looping now I know I just well it was just once but um I mean I'm I'm trying to think of just purely newcomers you know I mean The Chemistry Between all the quarterbacks and Nico has been good I think that maybe that the one of more the the the interesting observation about Nico is that his his his chemistry with with Carson Wentz has been really good and that's a good sign because that's just an indication that hey here's a new quarterback he hasn't worked with before and yet is working well with him too so um I mean I've just been I mean and today you know really kind of sealed it for me Nick because just like I said you know this was the first time we've really gotten to see Hollywood and Rashi on the field at the same time and those two on the field at the same time is a it's just different I mean it really is and um you know it's you know you obviously know a little bit about the chemistry between Mahomes and rice you saw it developing last year um I mean momes and Hollywood is getting there is it is it where he is with rice I don't think so just because there's a more experience but but yeah those two are just different players and and you can see that it's going to be different with Mahomes and brown than it was with other players last year yeah and then once worthy gets enough reps and they get enough game situations in the mix then it'll it'll ramp up even more and then once Wy gets in those game situations too that'll ramp up even more to where where there I think by the time they get to December if everybody's able to stay healthy I don't think Mahomes is going to feel like he has to just go to Travis Kelce and some of those clutch and crucial downs and at the end of the day that's what you want more than anything else is that they the defense can't predict where they're going because if you if you haven't got to see it yet uh the GM Shuffle podcast they' wink Martin Dale on and wink was talking about defending Patrick momes and how tough it was and he talked about every year that they played Mahomes from 18 until 20 or 21 um when wink was there with the Ravens and he said that 80 it was somewhere around like 80 80 plus percent of the time he had an exact number but he said 80 plus percent of the time when Mahomes was in Rhythm the ball was going to Travis Kelsey and like I mean he had a breakdown on it and he had you he said they just quit blitzing momes because they wanted to get him they said it was more important to get Mahomes on a rhythm than it was to Blitz him and so then he said they had ways to where they would have a fourth or fifth guy who would hit Kelsey to get that off Rhythm so momes would get uncomfortable and then he said he you know and then they had certain ways that they were defending Tyreek at the time to just try to get Mahomes to get into what they call the second play which is the quote unquote off schedule and then even potentially the third play and that's what makes Mahomes so different from anybody else is how how much he can create he can create and so can Josh Allen Josh Allen's really getting to that point in his career so between those between those two quarterbacks like it's I don't know just it's just interesting hearing wink kind of talk about that so the more additions that can get in sync with momes that have been added this year I just think the the better this offense can be during some of those stretches that everybody's kind of concerned about right now there you go well and and casy 12 has a question that is kind of in the same vein I and I I think it's interesting because I I kind of want to talk about this um it seems that Jared Wy has an outstanding day today has he already passed Noah gray in the tight end room um I mean Nick I tell me if I'm wrong here this is kind of my take on it is that I mean wy's doing extremely well but I mean I think a big part of what wy's role is going to be this year is letting Travis Kel get off the field some more not playing as many snaps letting the Chiefs manage his workload a little bit so that he doesn't have to carry the load as much um especially maybe he's dinged up you know Wy is the You Know Travis Kelce relief not that you aren't going to maybe see him you know Wy in certain situations you know especially maybe goal line situations and some 12 personnel and you're certainly going to see some three tight end sets with Wy out there but I I feel like that especially in the Andy Reed offense I mean and you know there's that there's a there's a spot on the field for a guy like Noah gray that has a different skill set and he and no and Jared Whitey have a different skill set there's a different body type there's just the different ability and and Earth Smith is probably more in the the Noah gry mold I mean if you watch Earth Smith some of his film I mean a lot of his you know getting open ability is based on just quickness and speed and elusiveness when he's matched up what a favorable matchup you're getting you know an ER Smith or an no gr a linebacker those are those are winning matchups and possibilities for them you know Jared Wy I mean he's a bigger guy that you can just do some different things with so I don't know I mean it's GNA be tough to you know if I'm filling out a depth chart I I think it would be tough and you know obviously you can just look at snap counts and say from that standpoint who you think is the the number two tight end and who's who's the number three but I mean I feel like that they are such different players that it's it's almost like two different positions you know you've got Travis Kelce plays a position and Noah gray plays a position and sometimes Noah gray fills in for for Travis Kelce because they don't have anybody else to do it well now they've got somebody to do it so if the Chiefs keep four tight ends for instance sometimes it's going to be Travis Kelce sometimes it'll be Jared Wy sometimes in the other spot it'll be Noah gray sometimes it'll be irith am I am I just completely lost on an island here Nick um I obviously like you said it'll depend on the formation and what they're trying to run so I mean part of that is Noah like for example you really don't want at this stage in his career you really don't want Travis Kelce run blocking like you just you want to avoid that because he's gotten he you can see it it takes a toll on him when he run blocks more so now than it used to and you don't want to put him in those situations so that's where you want Jared Wy to be that this year you want him to work on that run blocking to get that up to an NFL level as best as he can to kind of do that part you want no gray to be able to do that you're G to try to see if IRB Smith can do that so that they can be the tight ends who block and kind of get in the way on run plays or if they're trying to set something up play action pass wise so that Kelsey can run down the field or potentially Wy if he's in Kelsey spot I mean the biggest thing for Wy overall is that he this year is about him learning everything he can from Travis Kelce every single thing that he can because he has a similar build to what Kelce is as a player and he has similar some similar type of moves and so everything he can do to soak in like a sponge from Kelce only helps him in his career to kind of reach his ceiling of what he could potentially be as a tight end which I don't think anybody knows yet I don't think the coaching staff knows yet and I think this is where the find out in training camp when the pads come on um is what he what he can be and how they can utilize him do I think that Wy do I think longterm wy's gonna be a better tight end than Noah gray yeah I definitely do and I see little glimpses of it already but he's still got to go through training camp and start and start taking those uh those opportunities and those reps to really kind of situate himself and prove himself in that I have less concern when I see Jared Wy down in the red zone and them going up to toss something up to him he has the big body to go up there and climb the ladder and catch it more than I would if no gray may it hit and that ball kind of pops out type of thing Wy is a big body athletic tight end that's got sneaky speed he doesn't have the same speed as what Kelsey did coming out of college but I'm saying they're in a much more similar mold like you were talking about than than what herb Smith is and and Noah gray is Noah gray shows week I hadn't seen from him in the previous weeks but yeah yeah and and I should say I mean you know my you know talking about Wy and and gray I mean it's only for this year I mean I obviously think that Jared Wy has a huge upside Noah gray is obviously a free agent after this year I mean you draft Jared Wy with that in mind I mean absolutely so yeah I mean if you are you talking about Jared Wy being the number two at some point during this season I mean it's entirely possible and and and like I said snap counts tell the whole picture so we we'll see at some point you know kind of who who the Chiefs consider their their second best tight and who's number two but I mean at least in the short term I mean I I feel like that they're not those those three maybe even four all of the Chiefs tight ends I'm not sure are entirely interchangeable but uh as Nick disappears your mileage may vary um let's see I think I think Nick disappeared I am going to remove one Nick and add the other and see hi I'm back now there you go yeah I I realized the Final Cut program I was working on was still open so I think I crashed it almost like don't wonder it's not doing well right now let's see I'm gonna try and remove the other Nick from the studio let's see if it kicks both of you out no but it did kick out all of your uh clips that you loaded so apologize no no how am I ever going to recover from this there's [Laughter] one I I am straight and and Kathy had the same question here uh is is Nick Foles out there Nick fos is definitely out there Nick fos is definitely attempting passes in Camp um he's getting a lot of work and i' I've been impressed Nick run run that by me again Nick Foles has has has been absolutely attempting passes in these in the camp and OTAs and I think he's looked very very good nick folos nick folos I'm sorry aim straight I've done this and now you've did it to me Carson Wentz you know know how many times that I have thought Nick Falls in my head and still managed to say Carson Wentz so thank you Nick for uh yes I I didn't know if he was one of the mandatory mini camp try outs that I wasn't aware of no thank you thank you very much and and then yeah yeah I missed a lot today okay let's rewind and act like we can edit that out so has Carson Wentz attempted a pass in [Laughter] Camp yes Carson Wentz has attempted many many passes in in the OTAs and the mini camp uh and I think he's looked pretty good Nick how about yourself yeah I mean Carson Wentz I mean he he had his better like he's steadily improving week by week so I don't want to I don't want to say that is he better than bla Gabbert yes like I'll start out there that's our Baseline let's go with that now the second part of it is um what what the first week the first time we got to see him he was having some he was just having some trouble getting some of the plays out and getting all the wording out that seems to have lessen uh the following week and then it seemed like he started to get better with his accuracy and just kind of better better rhythm in the offense and then last week was his best week that we've been able to watch because he had pretty good accuracy overall minus I think that one interception um but he had really good accuracy overall and he seemed more comfortable with where he was needing to place the ball and at what speed he's needing to do it so for people quarterbacks for the most part uh QB coaches for the most part teach them aiming points so depending on the route depending on the plane depending on where the coverage is there's certain points you want you want to aim for a receiver so if they're if they're going to potentially get laid out you don't want to put the ball in front of them where they got to stretch their arms out and either alligator arm or have something like that happen in that world you want to help put it in their back Hip Pocket so that they can reach back for it catch it and then be able to rotate so they don't take a big hit in that regard now if if it's an Ideal World and they're running a Crossing route and they got opening in front of them you put it in that front number right in there right in that armpit area right that front number that's where you're trying to aim at so great quarterbacks are able to do that um and it's kind of like its own little Target game just like when the Chiefs do the you know do the uh trash can drill where they throw that and try to get the football in there and the during training camp at times when they have some fun with it back from Alex Smith days all the way to still at this point so it's just those those things wz has steadily improved upon I'm not saying he's perfect in anyways I'm not saying he's gonna beat Patrick Mahomes out that's never happening um but Wentz has the athletic ability to where I think he for people that used to watch Alex Smith I think they're gonna I think Wentz will remind them a lot of Alex Smith not necessarily from a checkdown perspective which I guarantee where everybody's going but I'm saying in terms of athletic ability the way he moves around where he puts the football he and he wears the same number and the white sleeves um all that combin I honestly half the time when I see went out there I'm like I'm like gosh it feels like Alex is back out there right now I've had the same feeling and I don't and absolutely I don't mean that in a bad way because you know I mean he he does have the ability to throw a deep ball does and Alex Smith did too I mean does he have mahomes's arm no I mean is he is he going to flip one 50 yards downfield sidearm no look backp in sideways off his back foot no I mean that's not the arm strength that he has but he he's got a good decision-making process I mean he I I I think obviously the more that he learns these receivers I think he will obviously develop more chemistry know where the players light the ball you know get more comfortable with all of that um but I mean hey is does Carson Wentz at this point through limited sample size look like the kind of guy that could go out and run a version of the offense to keep you competitive for a few games if Patrick Mahomes were to be out for a little while yeah I mean I don't I don't look at this offense and say well this is a two and 15 team with Carson wincon quarterback no I mean I I I think obviously they're better than that the question you that you hope doesn't get answered is you know hey can Carson Wentz be a a 10 and seven quarterback or an 116 quarterback for this team or is he more of an eight- N N and8 I don't know and you obviously you hope you don't get to know the answer to that question but this is not I mean he is obviously not the Colts backup behind pton Manning where you have no offense if your if your franchise goes down I mean Andy re doesn't believe in that Andy re doesn't believe and Brett V doesn't either that you just give up if your franchise quarterback goes down I mean Chiefs are prepared to go forward and I feel like Carson Wentz can can win games for them if they if he had to play for a short period of time so uh this question is kind of for you Nick because I I answered it a little bit earlier version of this that Clinton asked at the beginning of the show so uh I don't know if we've directly talked about this but I would kind of like your opinion on it uh Casey Chiefs 12 asks Chiefs normally have more kickoffs than punts so it'll be interesting to see how the roster reflects the new kickoff rules more linebackers than wide receivers on special teams and and Clinton you know asked his question earlier was even more you know bigger players so is it is it going to be favoring linebackers and safeties over Corners um do you have have a feel or a thought on that yet Nick Matt I have one request before I start this party is this going to be uh I don't see the Melvin clip oh no no no ota1 we're having some fun here tonight okay okay changing it up there we go all right all right all right so uh we're making them feel like they're watching uh you know one of those you know talk shows in the morning on there you go Fox Sports or NFL Network so we got the two BO for people that don't know this would be like the two box with vo and you're pushing into the two box where Matt and I are at while you have video on the side to keep you entertaining especially if you have ADHD this is the primary thing for a lot of people it keeps you engaged and everything um so to answer the question on Chiefs normally reflect the new rules I I think this is where yes I do think linebackers and safeties are going to kind of come in big in this I know people keep assuming that it's going to be offensive line it's going to be like a run play and everything but part of it I think is just going to be who's who do other teams have out there on kickoffs who who do they have out there for the most part because you're still going to want linebackers and safeties on your edges you're going to want fullbacks on the edges tight ends you're going to want people that are capable of blocking being able to do all that type of stuff so you're not necessarily just wanting you know hey I want seven offensive linemen out here no you don't especially not your starting five that are trying to protect the franchise you don't put them out there unless it's like unless it's like like the thing that decides the game and it's one of those last moments that you're like hey we got to get this done now um otherwise we lose this game and maybe the number one playoff spot that's when it's a whole different ball game and you throw it out there but I would say more than anything else yes I I I feel like safeties and linebackers is where it could help defensive ends it could help sneakily more than you more than you realize so I I think those are the spots that are I'm keeping tabs on whenever the 5 cut down comes and even some of the guys maybe they sneak and put on practice squad with in mind that they may Elevate them hey look there's Alex Smith oh no wait that's coron went look at him look at him out there running around like Alex it does look like Alex Smith yeah but uh yeah so it's those those uh those are the factors that I'm I'm going to keep kind of remembering down the road here yeah um I mean it I mean I me I mean I think it is absolutely in the air I mean I think that there's going to be multiple strategies that teams have I don't think all 32 teams are going to do the exact same thing on kickoffs I mean maybe they'll end up maybe it will be some variation of them all doing the same thing but I feel like we're going to see at least a couple of different strategies and during the first half of the Season teams might be trying to do different things now I'm sure that the most successful strategy at some point will win out and then maybe all the teams will do the exact same things but it's copat league but I mean I feel like at least early on you know you are going to see some experimentation and that means that the Chiefs and Dave Tobe might have a strategy if it works other teams will steal it if it doesn't Dave tob's gonna have to steal some strategy from somebody else and I mean even Dave to might try a few different things to figure out what works best so I don't know I'm I'm curious about and for for no other reason then I do think that the even though you've got a sample size from the XFL that you can watch and see how this kind of worked out the fact that there's the the difference with the you know as far as when players can move when the ball you know when the ball is essentially put in play on the kick is different enough between the XFL rule that I do think it will make the NFL application of it a little bit different so I don't know if it's a complete Apples to Apples comparison but we will find out in just a few months Nick yes and while you're looking for your next question people in the comment section need to say if they like seeing the video or not okay there you go thing we're trying out here I haven't seen any comments on it so come on people we're out here trying to be different for you okay this is this is awesome from from Nick and the fine fine folks at KSHB is sharing their their b-roll with us I see no comments this is disappointing oh Kathy Kathy pipes in here an interesting point Truman Jones may take a spot I mean you know you talk about kick return and you're talking about putting defensive lineman out there guys like shman Jones could benefit I mean he's more of a a smaller sized so well Brandon and Kathy like it Nick so the those are those are important reviews right there so I cannot dispute that Matt oh right you got lost you got lost I am not lost I am right back um this is yeah CIO oapen yeah oh excellent because I was not gonna be able to pronounce no s oapen is one of the best kick and pun returners in Oak Park High School history well there you go brother was my childhood friend so you know best friend and I think I've told you this Nick it's been a while very ocupen ladies and gentlemen I I lived for many years in the Oak Park School District m yes just just wanted to add that I lived there and I I I I competed against Oak Park mostly in in speech and debate but you know hey still well oh yeah because you were down in Springfield right I was down in Springfield and Springfield Springfield teams did not play Kansas City teams very often especially in football or anything so no not too often um but maintenance question I like the way you put that um we we we normally call that a housekeeping question you know when we're getting ready to to ask Andy read something like this and I kind of want to ask Andy read this now because I don't know the answer to this question Nick um I can guess at it but I don't know the answer how come the cheats haven't had anybody wear number zero yet I just don't think anybody's thought of it honestly I mean I think there's a chance that I mean I would say that's to me as like an 18% chance of likelihood that nobody's thought of it yet nobody's asked for that yet I think there's like a 79% chance that Andy Reid does not want anybody wearing zero that it just drives him up the wall so the Chiefs got the numbers thing the Chiefs helped get that numbers thing changed that even made this option available but that means Clark was okay with it and Mark was okay with it it doesn't mean Andy was okay with it maybe he just didn't care because he's like it doesn't matter who signs the checks exactly so yeah but that's great I mean Clark can be like hey yeah it's great we we don't care yeah I mean Zero's great number and Andy could be like yeah I'm not gonna let anybody wear it but sure if somebody else when the league wants to put it on that's fine I mean I just think from a marketing perspective it's gonna happen at some point the first zero jersey well and and honestly I mean the Chiefs need to by the sheer fact that they've retired more numbers than I think any other team in the NFL maybe the Packers maybe the Steeler I don't know Steelers haven't retired very many numbers I don't think the Chiefs have retired a ridiculous number of numbers so that's I mean one reason why you get 101 numbers now well no you get 100 numbers I'm sorry well you get 100 numbers yeah now you get 100 numbers you didn't used to have 100 yeah you got 100 numbers you got 91 players on the roster right now and you got like 20 guys who all share numbers well that's because the Chiefs have like 17 numbers retired so here's my question for who would be the first person you if you had to pick somebody to wear zero who would it be oh man I mean it can't be certain players obviously offensive and defensive linemen can't wear zero so it has to be somebody else um I don't know did somebody wear zero in college that I'm missing out on no I have no idea I'm just I'm just saying you think of the number zero significance of that number who would you put in that spot the significance of the number uh oh remember Matt people I know people hate this so I'm not gonna wait they don't like that I took forever on the Byron Pringle question the other day that was my fault for asking so no I I didn't have time to edit it out to make it for less pain less painful for me um I'm going to put you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna punt all right I can't think about I mean all receive then um I think if he made the roster if there was somebody I'd give the number to it would be reys zamit he'd be one of the first rugby players to make that transition and I think that would be very significant for overseas and then I think that becomes one of the more popular unique jerseys from a marketing perspective I mean it's entirely possible I mean I can't I can't rule it out I mean there's a a zzero kind of thing even going on there uh I don't remember I was trying to look and see what the and there's like they don't have numbers on the front of rugby jerseys maybe they don't have them on the back either I don't know it looks like there's a number on the back so I'm trying to trying to figure out what he wore if anybody knows feel free they do have numbers on the backs they don't have numbers on the fronts and there's no picture that so far I'm just going through Google Images there's no freaking pictures of Reese zamit from behind because he's so fast see I would think that they'd all be from behind because he's so fast ah he's be he just passed the camera it looks like from the one I can find there's a picture yeah it looks like 14 so we're gonna go with 14 so hey so pal currently pal how's that Corell pal is blocking his 14 so we got that there you go so I uh you know what I'm going to try I I'm gonna try and get to the bottom of this so okay I'm gonna I'm gonna come back and if I can get the answer I will post it in in the comments here so I I bet um I bet you have an opportunity on Thursday to ask that question if you if I can't find out tomorrow from some people I I can I can ask Andy Reed on on Thursday and I'm sure I will get a number of dirty looks but I don't care so sometimes inquiring minds want to know uh uh Dennis will the NFL take games away from rice if there is still no final legal resolution come first pregame um I mean it would be very unlike the NFL Nick for there to be a suspension before the legal process comes to a conclusion I don't remember the last time I mean because maybe it's never happened but I don't remember the NFL coming down with a suspension before a legal process concluded in a case like this I mean there have been cases where the commissioner obviously placed the player on the exempt list which effectively suspended them indefinitely but that would have happened already if the commissioner was considering doing that so I I can't imagine there being a definitive suspension before the legal resolution can you imagine one um about how do I set you up for that question just Nick do you disagree with me I don't I mean I don't know I mean is it possible sure I just part of part of me kind of wondered whenever mcole Harman got signed last week kind of was that bracing for something if there if there was that or was it cadarius Tony related you know but cadarius Tony showed up to mandatory mini camp today so it just I don't know that's something I think we're all going to kind of Wonder until July or August then I got a feeling that if there is something it'll start leaking out sometime before this season and it'll be one of the national guys who will magically get it from a source in the league office there you go yes you and by national you know if if it comes for well I won't say that I'm not going to be obnoxious I'm Nick I'm just gonna be I'm gonna be a nice friendly person tonight outstanding proud of you Alex and you're gonna have better answers to this Nick than I will but what is your favorite piece of chiefs memorabilia h I don't know Matt what what do you think well that is a tricky question because I'm not sure if I'm not I'm not sure if I'm allowed to identify publicly all of your memorabilia I'll be right back and I we'll we may be able to go through some of it as long as long as the screen doesn't mess up I'll be back I'll go get I'll go round some up for you I can I can I can remove you and bring you back when you come back no we can just stop the camera it's fine or you can run one of the OTA videos it's up to you there you go well we'll watch some video while Nick has gone you can see some more OTA video um I'll I'll answer for you Alex I mean you know I don't have that much memorabilia I mean for one you know as a as in my role as a reporter I've I'm supposed to be and must be objective did I grew up as a Chiefs fan of yes I did so um but my you know kind of collection then collecting kind of ended when I when I started on the beat so I I don't really have much memorabilia there's nothing I've really collected um I mean there's moments I mean you obviously see probably I guess two of my pieces of memorabilia the books that I wrote um obviously those are pretty you know important to me um I I'm going to do something with some of this I know others have obviously done it Nate's done it and others have done it um I have one small bag of um uh confetti from the Super Bowl 57 I have a much bigger bag of confetti from Super Bowl 58 and I am hopefully going to figure out something to do with some of that that might involve all of you if anybody who wants some confetti of coming up with something that uh and and maybe like Nate can can maybe raise some money for charity with it um I do have that that those are those are things probably the biggest things I've collected during my my career on the beat that have some some significant meaning to me um but I'll tell you that the the two things things and and one of them I I can't really reach right now but it's behind me um um my my mom passed away five years ago um when I was a kid she made me uh a couple of little collectible snowman I mean she was an incredible artist uh but she molded these clay these these snowmen they're not terribly large but she molded them um and I think she was taking a pottery class at the time but um She Made Them molded them put them together um she painted them and one is dressed up as a snowman who is a Royals fan and one's dressed up as a Chief's fan so there's a snowman's got a helmet on it and everything U corn cob pipe you know the corn corn corn nose everything like that um very adorable and then um the last one of the last presents that my mom got me because she never really got the thing where I'm not really supposed to wear you know Chief's gear or anything like that um but she bought me one of the kind of I'm sure you've all have seen it it's a one of the chief's blackon black hats um it's just the chief's logo on a on a hat but everything's all black um it's very very cool from an aesthetic standpoint but um she got me that for the last Christmas that we had together so that means a lot to me so those are those are my favorite pieces of chiefs memorabilia um so Nick is back appropriately enough at the end of that story so now I can show you Nicks I was not gonna yeah see it's not going to come through I can show you part of Nick's favorite um you know we got the we got the M you know the Super Bowl championship mask um yeah I don't think I don't think this other one's gonna come through I don't think if not I'll I'll that one's PR come through either I really got to get a green screen Matt that would have been my guess would have been the L the the replica Lombardi tropy or the championship belt which I'm gonna be honest that's what people are setting me up for because they're probably going to try to ask the question where do I buy that at and there's a reason I don't answer that question because I want them to stay in business so if there's more of them I could potentially get [Laughter] them yes I I am I'm I'm fascinated every time I see one of those pop up because I know some players who have them I know some coaches who have them there's a lot there's a lot of lot of players around the league that get it from that specific place and I I prefer to still have the option to be able to get those you know there there you go I mean we we are we're kind of making this sound like a drug deal it's not entirely like a drug deal come on man I said it's not entirely like it I got get rid of these videos and distance myself from this already a brand on this man like like you try to figure out ways okay well yeah that's uh that's that's that's fair that is very fair so it's like you're like hey how can I how can I keep Nick from coming on the show anymore it's like your goal each week it's not my goal I try not to I just sometimes mess up at least didn't have the video up when I said that so yeah no that's good I'm proud of you there you go um Pano has an interesting element to this question which I mean we've talked about a lot Nick but I I I do maybe it's good to kind of talk about this element of of the can the r suspension dragon to the regular season being dropped on the Chief's head without warning that's unfair prep wise to the team right um I mean I can safely say that the team knows when a suspension is coming well before we know yeah I mean so you know how much warning that they get I can't tell you for sure but they're involved with the process and the NFL keeps them involved and I have never seen of all the suspensions that I have seen that been handed down to Chiefs players over the years I haven't seen one yet there's not been the one that's surprised anybody because they've they've known what was coming and expected it and knew what it was long before we did I mean is that a three days is that a week is that two weeks I don't know the exact time frame but um safe to say they have a much longer lead time notice when a suspension is coming not just the length of a suspension or anything of that nature they know that too long before we do but um you know and and I mean sometimes I mean obviously the the Chiefs know the suspension is coming for Rashid rice do they know what time it will be handed down no I mean do we believe that it will probably come down after the legal resol legal side's been resolved yes that's the most likely outcome but the Chiefs will know before we do and you will probably there will probably be some telegraphs I mean there's probably be some moves or something anything that happens I mean Chiefs may very well build a roster and a practice squad you know just in case that this comes down this season I'm sure they'll prepare for the the worst case of it but yeah teams don't get Blindside out of nowhere you know they don't find out when the league sends out the press release when we do they know well ahead of time that's has been my suspicion that's all like I said I can't I've never had anybody tell me exactly when they find out or how far ahead or anything of that nature but um yes they they know so am I supposed to play this clip now too Nick no no no no no you're good you're good I was gonna try to share a photo but it's not working out you can't share phot only only video on Google Slides yeah the Google yeah they for it won't let you do jpegs it's really annoying know I was trying to didn't work out yeah I need to find i' have to I would have to open up my pher cut and edit it real quick and I already know that's going to crash it again if I do it yeah you can yeah you can also do PDFs so and power points so see what you're saying uh Cody Ashmore how did Sky do today is there concern that worthy will be on the FAU path due to missing OTA or even worse to not getting wide receiver reps uh I mean I would definitely put worthy and at FAU based on their injuries and then entirely different camps because we you know Felix was affected by that wrist surgery for six months um you know we're talking you know with worthy we're talking about you know missing 13 practices that you know he well even less than that because he he participated I guess in one and a half before he got banged up so talking about 11 and a half practices that he was there he just got to watch and be a participant in um you know in FAU I mean when he had the wrist surgery I mean that also meant that he couldn't do a lot of his you know exercise for six months I mean it limited his weightlifting and a lot of that so it affected you know its entire body I mean this is once again it's a shorter term injury for worthy he's been participating you know he went through obviously his offseason program he was absolutely in football shape starting OTAs whereas Felix that wasn't the possib ability for him he wasn't in that position so you know to me Nick I mean I think they're completely different now is that is it gonna be affected by not getting the Reps sure I mean I think that means that he will be starting out camp a little behind the eightball and he is GNA be playing catchup but I I don't think he's I don't think he's as behind as Felix was last year just because of how much time off the field when Felix came back he had to get himself back into football shape too you know Worthy's already in football shape he's just waiting for his hamstring to get better so I I'll handle this in twofold and Matt I made the PDF I see it see you should be proud of me how resourceful I am it's like I have to do this for very very proud of you it's like I have to do this for living um if you want if it'll pop up man I mean that'll that'll answer that question so there you go there you go those are those are my are my prize possessions that I cherish forever all right um but no to answer Cody's question um with Sky not I I can't really answer today but Sky's got a he's he's n he's got a particular set of skills and the skills that you want him is on Crossing routes slant routes that's kind of his wheelhouse quick out routes maybe you know maybe wide receiver screen like working within 10 yards I feel like is kind of where Sky Moore is like that's where you won his wheelhouse that's where he was in college that's where he was best in college so if you're asking him to to run those vertical routes you're kind of wasting his skill set those vertical routes you save those for brown you save those for um for worthy you save those for mle Hardman like that's that's where you use those guys so Moore's kind of one of those work over the- middle like rice and and Kelsey can Kelsey's kind of an in between in that regard so I just I I think that's just kind of where Sky Moore's role will be in the Chiefs offense as long as he's in it we'll see if he goes to another offense down the road like you know what he could do with the Rams I'd be curious to see what he could do with the Rams personally um in terms of worthy like I no I don't think he's going to be like FAU because the reason FAU really in my opinion wasn't getting on the fields because he wasn't strong against the run and that was going to take some that was going to take strength training that was going to take a year or two to get up to that point and that was going to be a big part of his game other than if they used him as a rushing specialist at times kind of that's just where he was going to be and Worthy on the other hand is there for the speed like he's already he already has what he needs to be on the football field to get reps to get from a speed perspective like he's out there to go run some verticals go run some you know some explosive wide receiver screens to make some explosive plays happen maybe be a kick returner putt returner like he already has just kind of god-given ability that is gonna put him on the field versus what Felix and UD DK was working on is more about something that takes a little bit to get to at the NFL level if your college coaches and you know even in high school necessarily maybe that wasn't as high of a priority for them was for you to be stopping the run and they want you to be more of a pass rusher I hope that makes sense if it doesn't we'll try next time yeah I kind of skipped over I apologize there Cody I kind of skipped over the the sky question talking about the FAU and and worthy comparison but um Sky had a couple of targets that I saw he had a touchdown catch on a slant in the in the red zone was a very nice catch and play um the other one was an an overthrow um trying see if I can remember I know I've got in my notes about who it was it was uh it was um your I was gonna say Nick Foles but it was Carson Wentz um AKA Alex Smith making the throw there on the overthrow um but I mean I guess I would agree with everything you said Nick that skymore has a particular set of skills and I mean I think he is still trying at best how to maximize those skills um and and I he's still a work in progress um am I have I seen a leap this year to be honest not yet but does that mean that we won't see it in Camp and when the pads come on that we'll we'll see a different skymore and we'll see someone who is getting closer to you know realizing his potential I I can't rule it out so I mean let's see what happens you know everybody develops at different rates and you know I mean statistically we saw very much kind of the same Sky Moore in year one that we saw in year two some players develop more in year three so I'm not I'm not closing the door on anybody I'm not ready to give up on anybody especially when they they do show some potential so I mean I I think there's still time for sky but um he had it I mean hey he had a couple of opportunities today made the most of the what he had one was an uncatchable ball so you know but the other one was a very good play and he makes he makes more plays like that he'll gain more confidence from the quarterbacks more opportunities will come I it's sometimes it's that simple so we shall see uh no you didn't say it I I said it earlier when you when you disappeared so if I get an opportunity I guess I I'll I'll try and break it back out uh mango is it safe to say that Nico has a really good shot of making his roster due to him being one of wi's favorite receivers um that could boost M I mean I I can't really I guess argue that he's one of his favorites I think that it's probably just more that that's the receiver that that wz is probably working with a lot and has been the best performing of that tier I don't know that I mean maybe Carson feels that way but um I I don't think I mean bottom line no I don't think that makes it any easier for him I mean it's going to make it easier for him if he just makes plays with no matter who the quarterback is throwing the football it helps a lot more if it's Mahomes because that's who the quarterback is going to be most of the time uh but no I mean it's it's any quarterback making plays that he's making plays with it doesn't matter who's throwing the football to him if he's if he's working exclusively with Chris Oken and he catches everything Chris Oken throws to him he's gonna get to work a lot more with Carson Wentz if he catches everything Carson went throws to him he's gonna get to work with Patrick Mahomes a lot more I mean that's the way football works right Nick look I've talked about Nico for week and weeks on end now I'm GNA give my power rankings yet again Power Rankings number one uh Hollywood Brown and he likes to be called Hollywood Brown so that's officially what I do it I know it's Maris but that's what he wants to be called so that's what we've decided in our Sports Department we're going to put on his lower thirds because that's what he wants to be called so that's what we're doing um then number two Rashid rice that's number two on my wide receiver Power Rankings right now number three is going to be worthy simply because the athletic ability you and I have been able to see during the rookie week and early on in the early part did we get to see him first week OAS or was it all rookie I can't remember I am not sure okay so maybe um but that's number three then four for me right now is Justin Watson reliable can play all the spots that we already previously mentioned and then five at that point is they're going to give cadarius tony every opportunity to showcase himself and to kind of be a player in this offense and then we'll see what happens with micle Hardman Sky Moore and Nico ramino but if I'm we'll see because I I think mentally I'm I'm kind of bracing for them to have four tight ends and so if they're going to have four tight ends I'm curious see if they'll keep six receivers or they I don't I don't think they'd keep seven this time around if they're going to use four tight end sets um well four tight ends not not four tight ends that's even though they do have that on a goal line package um last year a couple years ago when they had when they kept the four tight ends they ran that in a in a preseason game we all weren't crazy about it because it's fantastic it's back they had jod foron healthy so it's been a couple years burn um but um no um yeah I just I I personally I think Rio's got a good chance to be on the roster because I think him with momes helps that receiver four receiver five range and so I think his ability to kick return putt return play special teams and continue to kind of push for snaps with Wentz and momes will decide that and unless be honest cadar Ton's got to stay healthy during Camp can't get hurt like he did last year in the first day of catching punts and then we never see him again till week one against the Lions when an interception happens and cost him the game so that's that's where I'm out on that and then the name one of the names I didn't mention that I'm gonna I'll still say is Justin Ross with the the addition of micle Hardman made things really tough for Justin Ross now to where like I mean depending on what they have package wise idea for him some of that may get taken away by Jared Wy Noah gay to where they don't have necessarily the big bodied wide receiver to just toss it up to you like they potentially could have with Ross but it's never really been a big part of the Chiefs offense doing that to begin with so yeah it'll be I mean I'm not going to count anybody out but I know getting that fifth and sixth wide receiver spot's going to be one of our biggest talking points during training camp and if they keep the seventh receiver yeah I mean my my power rankings aren a whole lot different I mean I once again I go back to my Once Upon a Time three tiers I now have four tiers because I feel like that rashy Rice and and and Hollywood Brown belong in a different tier um Xavier Worthy is kind of my question mark whether he's gonna I I think he's probably gonna prove to me that he belongs in tier one but he's at least in tier two with Justin Watson I mean I think those four are 90% to make the roster barring any injuries um the question is then that next here and how many spots is it going to be one two or three and I mean who is in that right now based on what I'm seeing from observations and this isn't getting into any of the trickiness of what's a depth chart and anything that the Chiefs you know I'm not trying to violate any of the the reporting rules here Nick and what's off the Record what's on the record but that third tier for me right now is uh Cornell Powell is Justin cadarius Tony micole Hardman Montell Washington Nico Rio and Sky Moore I mean is that that's my what I'm calling tier three right now but that's the tier that's the tier that's competing for spots five six and seven depending on how many receivers the Chiefs keep I mean right now Philip Brooks and jiren Hayek are the only one in the bottom tier could they fight themselves out of that tier into tier three sure could players in tier three fall down to tier four sure um but hey micle harman's going to be in the conversation because he's been around forever and he knows all three positions he's very flexible um vtra Washington seems to be a Dave to favorite I mean is he you know GNA be a practice squad guy maybe so that you've got him around for emergencies and special teams maybe but you know who knows um I think it's a pretty wide group right now that's still competing for that group that behind the top four so but once again your mileage may vary Nick yeah there it is you go Bobby with the Super Chat are you worried about Worthy's injury I I'll let you I'll start with you Nick what what are you are you worried about Worthy's injury um your what's your Threat Level Z zero I have no I I don't I don't care if he's you can wear zero Nick no thank you I wore 71 that's my number it'll always be my number um no it I'm not worried about it because like like I've said many of times on on here and everywhere else the Chiefs aren't about winning the battle the Chiefs have as an organization it comes rant time now gonna go into rant time it's rant mode um no what the Chiefs organization have graduated from just trying to make the playoffs just trying to make AFC Championship just hoping to get to a Super Bowl that's what the fan base was all about when Andy Reed got here until 2019 when they when they did it so Patrick momes and everything that Andy Reid's done and Steve spagnolo have helped raise this franchise it's a whole another Echelon that clarkon always wanted to be where he wanted to be seen as a stable consistent franchise like the Steelers that's what clarkon you know would say time and time again is that's what he wanted he want to be like the Steelers and at the time potentially like the Patriots like that's why he went and got pii because they had that level of success and so they tried that didn't work out they went and got Andy Reid and Andy Reid's one of the longest tenure coaches other than Mike Tomlin and you know probably John Harbaugh um in terms of like coaches that have been in at the same spot for as long as all those guys have so I mean what I'm saying is here the Chiefs have to worry about the januaries and februaries like so if you don't have worthy for three weeks of OTAs but he's there mentally getting the mental reps learning from everybody and as they say he's incredibly smart and he's picking everything up then you take him along slowly if you need to because you really need him for November December January February you don't necessarily need him for August September October those aren't necessarily the times where you you got to have it type of thing so for worthy if if you're worried about winning the war not the battle and the war is securing a home playoff game and doing well in the playoffs and getting to championship and winning a three had a had a momentary breakdown hey I got if you need a second man we got a promo no had a just a momentary uh internet glitch we are back though um yeah I mean my worry level is also I I guess 0.1 I mean it's not non it's it's nonzero and that I mean something could happen I mean it could get worse he could tweak it again who knows but I mean no it's my Threat Level is very very low on this I mean it's green I I don't have a lot of concerns um mostly because Chiefs don't seem to be terribly concerned um this seems to be largely precautionary um and it it goes back a little bit to just what is you know Worthy's role going to be this year I mean if you were expecting him to play 70% of the snaps and be a full-time starter this year I don't think that was ever the plan I mean you know he is going to definitely be prepared to play one position you know they're going to prepare him to play primarily the Z I'm sure that he will pick up other you know spots as well he's going to have section of the Playbook that he's responsible for he's not going to be responsible for all 400 500 pages and all three positions and therefore learning 1500 plays I mean they're gonna have a very dialed back portion I mean right now they've they've given him the whole thing but then they as the Chiefs then their teaching Go I mean they come back and then they focus on smaller pieces and parts of it and that's the way it's going to be I mean I mean I'm still would expect that ex Worthy's probably going to play about 40 45 % of the snaps I mean something very similar to a workload that Tyreek Hill had as a rookie I mean and and if he plays more than that to me it's telling me that's Something's Happened I mean you know you know hey the guys in front of him have gotten hurt guys in front of him are not performing well maybe guys behind him even aren't performing well and that they've had to ask him to do more like they did with rasid rice last year so I I I'm not terribly concerned about the injury because I don't think it's going to affect his development that much I mean I think he is still going to play about the barring additional injury or this exacerbating I think he'll still play exactly the same amount that the Chiefs expected he'll have a little bit of catchup to do in training camp but like you said you know the the book on him is that he is a hard worker and that he's got a high football IQ so I don't see why that he can't pick things up pretty quickly so no I mean I'm not terribly concerned um Casey 12's 12 KC Chiefs 12 who ask about the memorabilia has his favorite piece Chiefs meilia the 1970 Chiefs yearbook autographed by Lenny Otis Buck Bobby Johnny Willie and Yan it's the one with the number one cutout on the cover that is a group of signatures Nick that is a group of autographs to have can't dispute it that is Hall of Fame tutorial there 12 very very good um eight we're getting deep in been to this so even though we should have been in probably um uh a lightning round mode much earlier we're in lightning round mode now Nick what I know you're gonna love this what percentage chance did you get the Chiefs for a three Pat success right now I have no idea I KN I almost said I know what your answer is going to be I should have written down a piece of paper so I could show you if we went on that newly wed game Nick I feel like we could do pretty well luckily they don't have that game and we don't have to do it so um I I mean look here here's the question I have for him coming into this year is how hungry is every player on that roster is every player willing to do all the little things they need to and be able to focus on that singular week that singular game and kind of just lock in in that regard and be able to kind of just you know this week is the Ravens they focus on the Ravens and do everything they got to do to beat the Ravens don't worry about any of the outside noise don't say anything in the locker room whenever the microphones are hot that can potentially cause them headaches and make other teammates have to answer questions and potentially cause a distraction don't have any of that just let their play on the on the field do the talking um and above all else I just I just I'm curious to see with this roster just how I I think tranquil talked about it today in the presser I thought he kind of talked about it perfectly when he's mentioning Travis Kelce and just how how fun Travis has a practice and buto has a practice and so I'm hoping that there's a lot of guys on this roster that have fun with Camp have fun with practice and really day in and day out just focus on what they have to do to get right to be able to beat the Baltimore Ravens of week one and beat them by a comfortable margin if you're really trying to make a statement on opening night so those are the aspects that I I think more than anything else those are going and obviously Health Health's going to be the other thing you know that you don't have any key guys that get injured or any of the big difference makers that can turn the tide one way or another those in my opinion those are those are the things that are going to decide if they can or can't but I'm not discounting I am not saying that they cannot get there I'm not putting that one at zero because if there's any any team that can do it the Chiefs have enough continuity but enough difference to be able to do it I'm just curious to see once the games actually start what are they this year what evolution do does this team take on because each year they won the Super Bowl in a different way or they've gotten to the Super Bowl in a different way other than 2020 during the covid year when I think they were able to take advantage of the continuity uh because of you know a world pandemic going on at the time you know and I I just I went over to like uh to just check that so the first um you know power ranking indicator with a percentage next to a chance that I saw calculator um is ESPN and ESPN gives Chiefs 12% chance of winning the Super Bowl this year I mean that's about right to me I mean that's the way it should be they have the 49ers at 16% I mean that's about right to me I mean I think that the 49ers have an easier path in the NFC so I mean that gives them a little bit of a a head Edge to the Chiefs because I think there's a more likely chance of them making the Super Bowl than the Chiefs just simply because there is less top teams in the NFC and less of a challenge so um I think that favors them so if you told me that you said the Chiefs had the second best chance to win Super Bowl I'm not g to argue with that um 12% honestly seems about right I mean I might have before I saw that I might have said a little bit higher number I would not have gone above 18 I think that's about as high as I could possibly go in my head and and this is I would like to say that this is some sort of algorithm I've got you know sophisticated math Nick but this is just gut feeling um so I mean it they got a good chance I mean they they should absolutely be one of the the two or three favorites for the Super Bowl this year to win it and if they've and if they're one of those two or top three teams they should have a better than a 10% chance I mean to say that the Chiefs have a 50% chance of winning the Super Bowl this year and in three Pat is ridiculous because nobody's got a 50% chance it's too hard I mean winning a Super Bowl is really really hard now it's a lot easier if you have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and Andy Reid and all these guys and Chris Jones so makes a whole lot easier but I mean and think about that I mean if you're if you you got a 12% chance to win the Super Bowl I mean there's teams in the league that you have a 12 times better chance to win Super Bowl than they do because there's some teams that have 1% chance maybe less than that to win the Super Bowl so I I mean I iy I think saying the Chiefs have a 12% chance is actually pretty good I mean that and that's right now when technically everybody's got a chance I mean obviously if the Chiefs have a good record that will go down as the season goes on um but I hey if you told me that if that was the number you said Chiefs have a 12% chance to win the Super Bowl right now I would take that because that's pretty good I mean right now like I said it's the second best odds in the league so that's that's I think that's a realistic number so you could wish it were higher I might even think it maybe could be a couple of points higher but I have no problems with that so uh I great job by myself of once again lighting round So the lucky thing is that we don't have that many more questions so probably a little um last call so if you got anything no we still got three left no more last calls are needed here there you go which okay I'm getting there then I'm getting there uh I was looking and seeing I guess that uh that our friend Louis ree Amit for 14 and 15 guess it depends on whether he's a wing or a fullback uh what time I'm I go oh did you we see that what's the running depth chart look like um yeah I mean like I think P your one glair is going to be your two and then right now you're three I don't think anybody definitely know know and nobody will till the bats come on but I mean of of the running backs I've watched I mean bayy is the one who intrigues me the most right now from TCU but that we'll see what Ingram does when he's out there because we haven't really got to watch a lot of him yet you know whenever they're actually running and have pads on and have to make contact and all that type of stuff so yeah training Camp's goingon to be really interesting you know what and honestly the number three may not be on the roster yet we don't know so you know it'll we it'll it'll be an interesting month uh for that July to August range yeah uh I agree peo Clyde um yeah I think it's difficult at this point after that I think daic Prince would be the early round leader but there's a lot of people that are in contention and there's a long way to go and I go back to how many running backs will they keep especially if Lewis ree zit is is one of them will they keep four if Lewis re zamit is one of them because I don't know if the chiefer would I mean we got a long ways to go it's the question is is would he be ready and willing and able to play a full running back load if you needed him to in a single game you know your first two guys go down can you finish out the game with Luis ree Z do you feel comfortable with that I mean I think that's going to be a little bit of the question mark So I think you know whether Lewis ream makes the team will impact a little bit about who else makes the team but I think it's wide open you're right I mean and if the Chiefs wanton a fullback they got Carson Steel's a fullback option I mean they could go a lot of different flavors uh Casey Chiefs 12 where would you rank the Chiefs Dynasty in NFL history right now would it move to number one with a three Pat well yes it would go to think get a three Pat Nick and four and six years nobody's touched that yeah like that's this is I know that's what's this is what's weird to say like they've they put themselves in rare air with backtack but there's a reason nobody's ever done a three repeat before and if the Chiefs are the ones that do that that's what punches a lot of players and coaches tickets to the Hall of Fame like that's what puts everybody over the top to where when they're in that room and they're having to give the Hall of Fame uh sales job to all the voters right there the one mic drop that they would have at that is hey these these player this player was on the threee this player was on a three Pat and this player was a part of four Super Bowl wins like that's that's the mic drop at that point and that's all that they I mean they can say all their stats and everything and say this player was one of the players who helped them win the only three peat in NFL history at that time so like that's that's the mic drop whenever they're having to do the uh the sales job in in the Hall of Fame room when they they're voting down the road doesn't mean that those people would need it but it doesn't hurt and for somebody like Steve spagnolo that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame just simply by being a coordinator um he would that would be yet another thing that guy would have on his resume like super defensive coordinator for multiple Super Bowl winning defensive coordinator for multiple franchise is um then also you know at that point would have five you know five Super Bowl wins where he was a defensive coordinator like I'm just saying like there's yes it would it would help them but I mean right now you still got the Patriots that have done it over a long period of time and you have to take into account that whole time that Brady and bilich were together and then the Steelers you have to take in account their time then you got to take in account a little bit of the Dolphins time there and then a lot of that 49ers span so but yes three Pete really pushes them up the ladder yeah I mean the three pet puts them in a different category of all their own I mean to me there's there's three dynasties that you talk about you T mentioned the Steelers mentioned the Patriots 80s 49ers are in there there's only one of the those that won four and six years the Steelers did that so to me I mean I mean it depends I guess on just how you define the years I mean obviously the Patriots doing it over a much more extended period of time I think is impressive of its own the Steelers winning four and six I think is also impressive of its own because nobody else has done that if the Chiefs win three in a row and now they've done three in a row nobody else has done that if they've got four and six that Patriots never did only the Steelers did it Steelers never won three I mean yeah I mean as you're talk far as you're talking if you're talking about a six-year Dynasty Chiefs would have the best Dynasty in six-year Dynasty in NFL history I I would have no problem saying that I think their Dynasty would be better than the Steelers and that's not even discounting the fact that Chiefs are doing it in a bigger NFL with more teams which means that it was much more difficult now than it was back then so uh I mean that's that's to me but and and the crazy thing is they would have only not gone to the Super Bowl once during that time only sad thing is that won't really matter if they don't win it so that five those last five minutes Nick just wasted our time if they don't they don't win this year but not there's any pressure it's what happens with hypothetical questions all right lightning round question for sure how many Hall of Famers are on this team right now oh he's got players okay um mes yes Kelsey yes Chris Jones is in the ballpark still get a little bit more to although he gets I mean they A3 Pete there's going to be a ton of guys on in the Hall of Fame from this team but well this helps him yes then the question becomes does Harrison bucker get in yes I would agree I mean I think he is the next in the conversation and I just don't know if there's anybody now he would be on the team but I don't know if being on the team would be the key part of it would be Joe tuny because he would have done it with the Patriots and the Chiefs one multiple super multiable franchises Joe Toney will have if if Chief won this year Joe tone would have like six rings right if I'm not mistaken I know he would have more than he would have more than one hand if I remember correctly on it yeah he'd have a ridiculous number of rings uh I would agree Joe Tony we'll go ahead and put him as a possible so there's five possible um I mean Andy Reid six well because it's he said players though so that's why I didn't put I I did yeah I guess you're you're you're you're correct he did say players although and then then Brandon came in and said Andy and spags spag is gonna have the hardest case of anybody because he if the chief especially if the Chiefs win another one he's going to have the best resume of an a coordinator of any coordinator in history I mean if spags doesn't go into Hall of Fame and I'm not saying he deserves it but if he doesn't then no coordinator belongs in Hall of Fame I mean that would be my case so um I'm trying to think if there's anybody else I mean on this team I mean the problem is you just don't have anybody here long enough that's the thing with free agency for sure because I mean that's the thing with Mahomes contract yeah there's only so long you're going be able to keep you know the that group together Tyreek Hill is on a Hall of Fame track he's got one ring I mean if he had stayed here and maybe gotten a couple more Rings probably be easier to put him in a Hall of Fame track but but I think he did it but I think he helped his I think he helped his case by going to Miami and being the weapon that he is as a player that makes it easier to sell to the committee that it wasn't just because of home yeah no I mean saying he put up bigger numbers without Patrick Mahomes is a big deal so yeah yeah it's just you know brings matter a lot too in that in that discussion so that's why I mean I always joke I mean if the Chiefs keep winning this I mean they keep putting they keep win I mean there's gonna be a lot of guys with gold jackets because they play with Patrick Mahomes and I mean because let's I mean I mean we could be seeing a lot of careers that we're just seeing the beginning of I mean if they stay healthy TR Humphrey could be a Hall of Famer for crying out loud he's got the skill and ability to do it he could be there could there be other guys I don't know maybe maybe George carlus is gonna end up with a hundred sacks in his career and four rings he's going in Hall of [Music] Fame but and we said possibly buter so there you go lightning R all right was there one I missed you said there was there were more there was three more questions did I did I miss one Nick um that's right yes yes James they are suicides in basketball God I hate oh man I hated suicides but as you can tell from me I hated running in all forms let's see I think yeah I think no you actually those were those were the last ones you got through them we got we did it all right well I apologize if there's anything I missed but uh thank you everyone once again for joining us it's been a fun ride so Matt when will we be back we very wonderful segue there Nick because we are going to be back on Thursday in your stream on 41 is the mic am I am if I'm not mistaken late Thursday early Friday oh it'll be it'll be late Thursday we know it'll be late Thursday because um yeah I guess I mean the Chiefs have their video out now even though in once again total Chief's form I mean got asked got asked today at the press conference I'm not going to give out any details don't do it it got asked to dat at a press conference they put out a video Nick to say that they're celebrating greatness on Thursday so or backtack greatness whatever that whatever that is I would just I [Music] would I would keep I would keep your eyes peeled on the social Thursday evening the 41s of mic podcast will be later later in the evening there you go exactly we have to we have to wait for the team to celebrate their back-to-back greatness so we can talk then we can react to the rings on top of what we saw at now you're just now you're just giving the whole thing away not giving the whole thing away dude I don't even know I don't even know what I'm going to see mandatory Mini tomorrow all I was going to say is that they're getting their rings on Thursday and then you said it after chastising me I was we just we can't there just a c I was making sure the certain details didn't get out I definitely not doing that I mean that's all that that's all that that's all that matters man I mean no I'm not giving away all that so there you go anyway that's our fun way of telling you that yes sometime at an undetermined period on Thursday night we will be getting back to you with 41 is the mic um so we'll be able to react to uh at least one practice because there's not really a practice on Thursday they the Chiefs have one more on Wednesday full OTA pract or mini mini camp practice I should say um Thursday they will run their gassers and we will hear from Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes we are hoping to hear from Hollywood Brown and Chris Jones on Wednesday we will see if that stays on the schedule um but then we will bring you 41 as to Mike Thursday and then obviously we'll be back here with the my Q&A on Tuesday I assume Nick you'll be able to make it if not you know but I hope oh next Tuesday next Tuesday yeah man oh I'm I'm just thinking about tomorrow at this point so handful things to get done before midnight late Thursday early Friday Friday for 41 is the mic back here on Tuesday obviously Brandon Brandon Patterson no secrets out there were no secrets given away we didn't give away any secrets so no no so we can't tell I mean no that that's all I'm saying so yeah I can't I mean here I can tell you at least that Drew tranquil said that the Rings are bigger this year than they were last year that's what he's been told sorry we just got another we got a new question do you want that question we've answered it before but we can answer it again I'll let you enter since you're the TV guy and you stand closer to the to the the moat box so so Jimmy first off hi uh secondly like I I understand what you're I understand this is a common complaint that pops up in the comment section during q&as and has multiple times in the past couple months um there's a person that physically will turn up the microphones that they have above to be able to get the question so like they they pick it up as best as they can but it's all dependent on how loud that person asking the question talks so you know it's not is it you know is it and and I can tell you from experience like there's a person back there that is adjusting it to be able to try to help you hear the question and they have they have the microphones up there to be able to try to get it whether it's after a game or there inside the facility so I unless somebody's gonna yell into the microphone because you gotta remember though like I mean you know for the most part I mean you know you're talking mouth wise like right now I have this microphone in front of me so I talking directly into it so people can hear me well because people have complained and said that Matt needs to turn the volume up and Matt can't turn the volume up because there's no volume to turn up for it it's just I have to talk close to this microphone because of the program we use for this that outsources this so I am literally almost eating the microphone just so it can sound good to whoever's streaming this now the only other thing that I I can honestly say is I mean it just depends on how some things get outputed because I know you know like there's there's just only so much you can do before it becomes over modulated when turning when turning the audio up and then it and then you would be complaining about why is coach over modulated when he's talking because you know because you're having to turn this knob up and down to be able to try to regulate so people can hear those questions and everything so I understand people have their frustrations about it but I mean they've they're in my opinion they they do a good job even thinking of that and trying and attempting that to so that people can en fully enjoy the press conference as if they're there yeah it is I I have I've learned more about this because I didn't even know that they had been adjusting the mics as so to do as well as they have been you're welcome that and and I'm literally standing right next to it as thisen and they've been and the people the people who are horon honestly have been doing an even better job this year I mean because I think that the audio has been in better than ever I will say from because I was listening today's press conference you know what I was going through and adding in the chapters um for Travis Kel's press conference so I could hear some of the questions perfectly fine I mean I could hear mine I could hear some others and I know from just where people are standing in the room because it's a very small room and it clearly if you are in the middle of the room and you're seated in the center or even back towards the the cameras then any of the people who ask those questions are pretty easy to hear the challenge is when anyone standing against the wall on the sides ask a question because those are much more difficult because they're not under a microphone they're kind of a couple of feet off the to the side and everything so I'm just I'm just thinking about like a pressor on Thursday if I'm conscientiously thinking of this and I'm talking towards a microphone instead of looking at Patrick and he's going be like what is that guy doing like what why is he looking at the microphone and then and he's GNA look up and wonder what's going on so no um yeah the only thing that you could do and this is what they do at the NCAA tournament is and and you know like large Super Bowl week type thing is you have to take a microphone and and pass around and I'm telling you that it's clunky it's clunky too it it it's clunky when it does it in such a big scale and it it just up time and takes away efficiency so like I mean yes you'd be able to hear the question but I'm just telling you man it's there's you just got to find the happy medium I think the Chiefs do the best they can to find as close to happy medium as they can to try to get the questions for you to be able to hear but also you know get as efficiently as they can because they got meetings they got stuff they got to do as well so there's certain windows that they have available to let them talk you know or they're available to talk in between trying to do 80 different things in the day I will say something about Thursday Nick that's not going to be anything to give away but I will say is that thankfully the ring ceremony will not be in The Press Room at Arrowhead Stadium so we don't have to worry about the ceiling falling in all right there you go Annabelle that's my hint it's not at the Press Room at Arrowhead Stadium so Matt you've said too much I'm gonna get tazed aren't I I don't know about that but I feel like this is uh I'm I'm I'm disappointed that no one asked if we got any of uh Taylor Swiss poptarts I mean the answer is no I did not get any of Taylor swiss poptarts but well Matt this feels like my exit ramp here there you go hey everybody have a great week we appreciate you coming in tonight and and got that you got that to play us out oh oh no I mean as oh is that what we're doing okay well then that'll play us out like last week this will play us out it's all things Chiefs right here 41 is the mic [Laughter]
