baseball player is Hank Aaron Cameron Lake Mary Florida Jonathan Anderson is the manager and he's got a couple of very very good assistants with him in Kyle Bono and Paul bio this is an interesting one Liam Sparks on the Mount of course you got a game on Saturday how many pitches do you let these guys go if you need them Anderson leads off son of the manager Feliciano a big D at the plate so is roosen and they're fairly deep we've seen Norton and Alexander come through during the course of this summer and you're going to need them all we saw that early earlier today bottom of the order oh first one a little high right out of the glove of Soraka and Liam is a big boy man he is 6 feet tall out there and we'll see how his team deals with the height and the velocity throwing over the top and in there for a strike yeah that's going to be the focus for him right is the command he hasn't pitched here in the Little League World Series so calming the nerves a little bit maybe a little anxious but just staying in the strike zone is going to be be a focus for him yep couple of innings at the Regionals that was the last time he's been on the bump and he s went High two balls in the me about that cuz I know that we've been talking a lot about it on air but we haven't given the backstory to it the backstory is that um C struggled um mentally on the field and in school and I figured he needed somewhere to talk about it and I other kids also struggle mentally on the field when either they struck out Miss the play and there's really no safe space for them to talk about it so I created pass the ball for Caleb and all these young athletes out here um 70% of student athletes quit by the age of 13 because of anxiety stress of school and sports so this is a place where they can come and talk about it what's the response been the response have been really good actually um we have three episodes out I believe our Instagram um has been picking up a lot of followers and if anybody wants their youth athlete or the athlete themselves want to come on the podcast just follow us on Instagram and give us a message and we would like to have anybody on there I love that you're doing this you are a psychiatric case worker you know best that these boys and girls need to talk about it absolutely I'm I'm actually finishing my masters in social work in November and I also created a nonprofit for these boys or athletes not even just boys but girls too um I deal with kids um children's mental health of course and I see the struggle and there's nothing for student athletes um to talk about anything yay mom for getting Caleb to start it and doing what you're doing and enjoy this week thanks so much for your time really good Julie really important anginette Gomez talk enough about the job Raja Alexander did out there coming into this game and being able to really shut down the bats of Nevada three and two3 Birds giving up a couple of hits but striking out five no runs I thought he did a nice job of really being the momentum builder for this team first day off in a long time for the folks here and for you at home who have been binge watching the little
