Meet Toby Keith & Stelen Keith, The Dubois County Humane Society Pet(s) of The Week!

hello and welcome to the dbys county Humane Society for your pet of the week we're here with our buddy Kelly and two pretty cool kittens although they're growing fast Toby Keith and stellen oh Toby Keith yes we have Toby Keith and stellin today they're in our condos so um it's hard to kind of get good footage of them um but both of these guys are under a year old they're about eight months old and they're super sweet funny playful cats both of them do have felon herpes um which is something we we see pretty often around here that's something that's not super uncommon um so that's pretty similar to what it is for people so they can have sores and that is spread through like secretion so typically when we see a cat with fine herpes we recommend they either go to a home with other cats that already have feeling herpes or um just to to be solo um just to not risk anyone else in the home getting it um but other than that they're super healthy happy guys um that is not something that can be transmitted to people so that is something that is just cat specific so no need to worry about anything like that um and there's just super silly fun kittens they look like adult cats at this point they're pretty grown but they still very much have kitten behaviors very big so adoption fee their adoption fee is $40 yeah $40 so come out here and give these guys so they're they're they're just cheesing it up in there I think they know it's it's pretty pretty fun uh I understand there's a lot going on coming up have so many events coming up that I have like for the first time ever made myself a list so that I didn't forget any of them let's go through it um so next coming up we have our adop Theon so on May 19th at feeders from 11 to 4 we're having an adop Theon um we will be doing a half pot raffle we will be doing nail trims microchipping on-site adoptions um all kinds of stuff so we're going to be doing that adopt on even if you're not in the market to adopt there's going to be all kinds of stuff to bring your pets and come check out we're having a bake sale um just a really great way to get out with fam and and support the shelter so that's coming up on May 19th after that we have our golf scramble on June 2nd that's one of our favorite uh fundraisers of the year so that will be at Buffalo Trace um you can find all the additional information for that on our website so we are taking team signups for that and we are also still taking whole sponsorship so if you have a business and want to sponsor a and have your business kind of advertised at our golf scramble that's a really good opportunity as well after that we have um the weight what comedy show so um the folks with will read and sing for Fu are putting on a comedy show to benefit the shelter that is on Thursday June 6th at the cultural center so if if you look at our website we have some information shared on that as well um on our Facebook page on how to how to get tickets to that tickets to that are $15 and it is to benefit the shelter so this this one's my favorite this and then after that we have the pawade wrestling show that's on June 29th at 700 p.m. and that is at the cab O'Neal um Jim and Jasper so that is another benefit for the shelter that a a wonderful supporter is throwing and um yeah it's a familyfriendly wrestling show and it will be here in josper at 700 p.m. on the 29th of June that's amazing how you guys were able to pull that off we didn't have any planning to do with this you we're we're our our leg work on that is pretty minimal which is really wonderful and and helpful on our end I've seen people posting on Facebook about it I know who helped with it so it was fantastic uh donation wise I ask you every week what are you guys in need of in particular this week um I think we're still kind of low on bleach uh we can use bleach we can use cat and kitten supplies we're low on Purina a kitten chow um really all of the Kitt supplies because we're getting into kitten season so litter kitten chow um milk kmr kitten meal replacement we need because we have um a cool 22 bottle babies in our care right now so that's a lot of formula we're going through um and while we're on it it's a great time to sign up to be a foster with us because kitten season um is here and and we're getting calls every day so our ability to help all of the cats and kittens that need us depends on us having The Fosters to intake them are you guys still intaking right now or did you yes okay um slowing down cuz we're getting pretty full 22 bottle babies and Foster a lot of cats to manage care for um but we have a wonderful Fosters who stepped up for those kittens so we're really grateful to have been able to pull them these guys are just having a balling I keep getting distracted uh guys as always check out duboy County humane.org and uh I I say it every week uh the Facebook page is one of the most active Facebook pages in De boy County Kelly and the team here do a great job of updating you guys on what's going on and events and everything so be sure to check that out and as always they can always use donations and volunteers there's can always be an extra set of hands around here so consider that and uh come get these I just keep getting distracted they're having a ball in here so uh do we miss anything I don't think so this was short and sweet see this is
