friend oh I can't I can't hear him either um intra I'm not sure what's going on we'll we'll try and sort this out anyway uh we'll kind of figure this out and if you guys want to just kind of see how you guys have been over the last week we're doing good I'm doing good as said last week I've progressed from the shared into the lovely convert that is now the closet and so I'm I'm making my way of the way as I'm going I'm still coming after pause of just getting ready for football season going on as Mel said last week we lost our last all uh access to to soccer's finish now my Rugby season's finished in a successful one for me I'm not going to mention that to Care on um but uh we're uh we're on oh that was last week Karen you missed it that was last week while you were gone um but yeah so yes it's so good no I'm still fascinated by what's behind you I said it last week I'm still fascinated well it's actually quite good because I have the number 23 and the player we have is 23. now the name is a bit different on it but you know just as well if he doesn't exactly we'll be doing quite well yeah no no I'll go to her auntie I'm delighted for you that you've been able to stay in your new surroundings and you haven't been kicked back down to the shed yet you know give it time don't give a time as you say keep moving up eventually be in my own room that's the ultimate dream of me and the Irish band show that's exactly what I'm looking to do yes Lee Yes 100 Lee yes this is what I'm talking about this is this is the way forward this is my ass kicked openly soon um tell us about your holidays while we're waiting for agent to come back in did you enjoy yourself I I did look we we have them here let's see if the if the Sound Works here and what's going on how y'all doing we're doing good do it yourself doing well man doing well just finished up with the day uh just now getting home how y'all doing all is well yeah everything's good I uh unfortunately have come back from to Ireland from Seychelles so it's a bit colder here than when I was over there but look how's the how's the off season been going for you because obviously LT Hayes has kind of kicked off here get back into the to The Rolling things before you get a little bit of break before training camp but what's ota's been like OTAs has been really really fun I mean it's it's really one of those times where you come together as a team and you start to get to really know each other and create that that bond that on the field Bond and off the field Bond as well because I'm sure you guys know we we work from Monday to Thursday and then pretty much from 8 A.M to 1 30 p.m and then we got the rest of the day to hang out with each other kind of kind of grow as grow as friends off the field and and build that uh build that chemistry I'm sorry Adrian you just talked about a bar on that and come together how do you think the rookies have found it now making that step off and coming into a professional kind of setup like at the Bears do you think they are kind of sliding in kind of well guys are welcome to man and they're kind of adapting fairly quickly to the the new surroundings oh yeah I mean this is a it's a great culture it's a great locker room with a with some really good vets that have been added to the squad and you know we we have that Brotherhood and it's been fun it's been really fun for the rookies I've seen and we don't we don't make it too hard on those guys something as well I saw your Tweet in the fifth of May with you and you and your you and your kids around Hollis Hall absolutely class or someone who's going to sit on that age I'm stunned you got into stay for a photograph quite impressed and then he's like yeah I mean he is uh he's a blessing he's a joy to my life and I mean he's a good kid he doesn't cry much uh I let him go on the field and he just crawled around he might have crawled over 150 yards which is crazy for for a 10 month year old baby see straight away there's a stick there's the Sportsman in you competing already you have your kids you have your kid compete with other kids in this team and just because on the fact you came into Chicago in the middle of the season and this is kind of a good time for you to have an off-season with Chicago what are you seeing the differences in in when you first came into the team last year in the middle of the season to now in the LTA so we've seen have you seen a cultural difference or have you seen a a difference between the coaching ticket or what's your what's your thoughts on on how the OTAs are going to Chicago uh the OTAs have been really good I mean a lot it's been a mostly player-led uh players have had much of a bigger voice since uh this OTAs compared to when I first got here which is really was really unique um considering this isn't the first organization that I've been at um that had as many rookies as we did have last year it's given me a San Francisco feel back in 2017 2019 where everybody's bonding we're connecting players are leading the locker room and things are getting things are getting to be really really thought obviously with the way things went last year and then heading into the off season obviously a lot of fans were excited about some of the moves that the team were doing but for you as well when you see guys like Tremaine Edmonds get get signed you see TJ Edwards and some of those other guys what does that do for you knowing that you get to be involved in that defense and kind of reshaping it because obviously last year there was a little bit of a a tear down in terms of for the roster now we like to see this as kind of the rebuild backup where pieces are getting added to the team oh yeah I mean when you when you get a lot of good bad solid vets like TJ D Walker Tremaine I mean the list goes on um it really gives you some confidence because you know that front seven is gonna be dominant they're gonna Dominate and it's going to make the job on the back end a little bit easier yeah absolutely just just looking out there I was looking at the kind of Coach instead of usually this can be a bit of a turnover in the NFL with coaches I think the Bears have generally not have major kind of changes there and obviously look at the two coordinators have both come back something like that now I mean because obviously when you look at maybe if you don't get the results you want maybe you lose a coordinator or two that's kind of just the way it goes but the Bears obviously brought both guys back and a lot of coaches back how important is that as was mentioned earlier it's just a very young team a lot of rookies how important is that kind of familiarity coming into a new season that you know there's not going to be big changes in terms of maybe the scheme or what the offense of our defensive coordinator wants it's trying to help young guys who were here last year kind of maybe something like Justin Fields who your whole printer will continue to acclimate to whatever setup is there is that kind of a big thing or is just a case of look we're the best of the best we're in the NFL coaches change and we just roll with it and that's just kind of the way it goes uh I mean coaches do change uh for certain situations whether it's a promotion or you know thing it's just not the right fit but uh as far as it goes here I think I think they got the right people in the building uh We've brought in the right players and it's just about putting it putting it on putting the product on the field sorry we mentioned a little bit earlier about obviously the rookies coming in and kind of incorporating themselves obviously they had Rocky camp but it's a little bit different when it goes to the veterans in terms of OTAs and stuff have you noticed anything from some of these guys especially like yourself when you came into the league as a rookie and obviously trying to make a name for yourself early try and compete for a starting spot especially I know a lot of fans are interested in some of those defensive players obviously gervon and and Zach and Tyreke have you been impressed with them early in OTAs absolutely I mean all those guys are really are like sponges they they listen they ask questions and they go out and they work hard and I mean at the at the end of the day as a rookie when you've come through the draft or full College season Drive Prep Pro Day combine all these in-between things between getting drafted and stepping into the building I mean it's a lot they they have a lot on their plate and the most you can really ask for these guys is to come out and compete and be a sponge and learn as much as you can before we get into training camp and things start to really get serious I saw him there was a history on on special teams what you making the little change the kickoff change um I don't really pay no mind to it I mean it is what it is I don't think the it's really I don't think it's set in stone yet but I mean if they make the changes we'll just have to adjust and play as we make but I mean the game is constantly changing um in favor of protecting the players whatever that means um whatever that means but uh uh I mean at the end of the day all we can do is go out there and play we can complain all we want but until anything changes within a CBA or we have a big meeting with the owners or whatever uh it'll it'll stay the same yeah and I guess the obvious thing that we always hear people talking about now is kind of that development from some of the guys from last year but in particular the quarterback Justin a lot of people we've heard a lot of players kind of talking to interviews how he's been kind of one of the leaders of the team what have you made from him from seeing him obviously play last year during the season to coming into the off season this year obviously helps when you've other guys like DJ Moore coming in where he can kind of build that chemistry but from the last couple of weeks at OTAs what have you seen from Justin Justin is has been the same for me um a really great player young guy uh comes into work every day earlier than everybody leaves later than everybody um he's going to be a really great quarterback I I love watching him play and I enjoy being able to practice against him even even during the season last year when I was Scout teaming uh on the uh I was being on the show team for him it was it was cool being able to watch him and he didn't make plays I'm excited for the season does it entice you guys on the defensive side when you see a guy like DJ Moore coming in where he was a part of that big trade that the Bears made and everybody's expecting him to be the number one guy and you kind of when you get to go up against a guy like that does that kind of feel you with a bit of fire to try and stop a car like that and whether it be OTAs or when it gets the training come I mean it don't matter who lines up in between those lines I mean it's you're gonna get the best of you're gonna get the best of that defense and myself uh regardless of who you are uh DJ is a great player and he he only amplifies what we bring to the field just just learn that as well what you spoke about the defense who do you now see as the leaders of that defense and and what's that what do they what kind of leadership are they so historically we've heard from roquan Smith may have been uh follow me kind of leader in how he plays from the defensive side of the football has there been more leaders brought in and if so one who are they and what kind of leaders are you seeing them I mean you got you got brisk you got your Quan brisker uh you got Justin Jones online you got Jermaine Edmonds I mean the list goes on I mean we just got back just got Bojack back so I mean everything's uh I mean it everything's falling in line as far as leadership goes because I mean the more leaders you have uh on a defense from the front to the back um it it just makes it even better because it's constant communication constant trust and constant accountability throughout the team sounds like fun would that be all right oh yeah hell of fun to have a guy like jail I'm back obviously he wasn't there for the first two weeks with lta's other kind of his personal stuff will happen on back this week must be good to have it it looks like from you said as well Bojack coming back as well from his from his injury making sure that most of the guys on defense are getting healthy getting prepped and like we said building that chemistry together I mean it is great man I mean you have your leaders in the building and uh your best players on the field it's a good feeling because you get to build that chemistry guys the young guys get to see how it's done and how it's supposed to be done and you know just continue to build off that and we we always hear kind of players saying like every off-season there's like one thing that they like to focus on to try and improve that little bit more and what was it for you this off season was it just kind of obviously coming into a team halfway through the season isn't always the easiest we saw with even chase as well on the offensive side is it more of kind of understanding exactly what Maddie Lewis wants to do in terms of the defense or is there something in your game that you're like I want to work on this to kind of prove myself to get more Reps for kind of the ones this year yeah I mean for me uh personally it was more so schematic like learning the scheme because I mean like you said I came in uh late in November uh so I really didn't know the defense in and out like like I do now um and also just just working on staying healthy doing the things that I need to do diet changes uh workout changes in order for me to stay healthy and get an opportunity to be on the squad you said at the very start about that you guys finisher at a half one two o'clock Mark and you get to kind of bond with your teammates is that something that's unique to this team or is that something that over the six years you've been in the NFL it's been a constant that's it's similar or is there something different you're seeing with this group players that you may not have seen other teams without naming the teams but um so like we had this type of dynamic in San Francisco which is why I mentioned San Francisco earlier today I mean earlier in the conversation as far as like uh culture chemistry uh the team building team bonding on and off the field I think that's very important in order to have a successful team and uh that is one of the things that has been very present and apparent this year for my time being here what do you do uh we we've been bowling we've been the Cubs games I mean we've watched we've watched the uh finals and the playoffs I mean we went to dinner I mean we we've done tons of stuff I mean we haven't been done oh you said dinner where'd you go I've been to Chicago once and I came home so far right so where where's the where's where's the place you've gone for dinner we went to a place close to the facility uh we went to Eddie Merlot's and then another time we went to uh Benihana you mentioned bowling as well so here's here's one who who got the best score and who got the worst the crazy the the funniest thing about it like this is this is a rare occasion where I actually win at bowling because I'm trashing the 181 which is my highest all-time score ever and I don't I don't recall who had the lowest score it was I was I was too hyped about getting 180. I should ask can you say you're celebrating people's faces I would have been like literally you wouldn't be able to contain me no no no I I didn't I I just you know it was I was excited about it I didn't I didn't get in anybody's face though you're a better mom than me 100 we we are really appreciative for for you coming on the show Adrian look we just want to say good luck for the OTAs obviously going through Camp hope everybody stays healthy and you have a very good season this year we just really appreciate your time with us today absolutely man I appreciate you guys and uh bear down man shout out to all the Bears fans I look forward to making some plays this year absolutely can't wait to see it thank you look it's always great to have one of the guys on obviously what was it just a couple of weeks ago getting the Anthony Jones on obviously now again Adrian Colbert on we're still working on getting some other some other guys onto the show too and yeah pretty pretty much pretty much pretty much but look it it's good to get and I think one of the guys in the chat mentioned it is it's really good to get kind of the player's perspective yeah it was Lee and he mentions to get that player perspective because you don't get it that much right like we get it we get drip fed a lot of these and all we really get to hear about from some of these players is when they do interviews with the media and all these guys are Media train so it is good to be able to talk to them and get their honest opinion it's always interesting to see it's it's so obvious that there's this close kind of it's a close-knit group this year like that players are excited for each other and I think one of the obvious parts of that is when you hear like Justin Fields going to Jalen Johnson's like charity event you see kind of he different guys going to even like the president going to kolkumet's graduation Justin Fields graduate all that sort of stuff it really really is important and you just hear some of the players talk we obviously we add De'Anthony Jones who was very new to this team where he saw where some of the compete levels of the other rookies and I felt like he needed to kind of up his game you then see someone like Adrian who was there last year halfway through the year and now he's saying it just feels like a different vibe this year and I think that is a really important thing just to say well this team is changing right like last year was the teardown now they're starting to build up we're hearing different players coming out saying that they're really excited about this team this year that they really think that they can be go out there and compete and compete for this Division and it's great for a fan to hear like I don't know about you guys but we always go into Seasons we're kind of like hoping things go well this is the first time it probably since the first after the first year when Matt and Aggie was there because obviously the Bears won whatever it was 13 games that everybody was really really hyped the next year but this is actually one of those years that I'm really excited just for the season to start and I don't give a crap about training camp I don't care about like all the off-season little stories that are going to come out because I'm just looking forward to actually getting to the season because this is a team that actually you do believe can at least be in every single game but definitely compete for this Division and I think fans tend to focus on all the little storylines and training camp when the team's not very good because you're trying to cling on to something but I think this year when we look at it and if we look at it realistically division isn't that great Bears if things go well if Justin develops if this team works well together there is definitely a scenario there where you can say they can't compete for this division it's really really interesting but look I'll open it up for you guys from kind of what you kind of learned from what Adrian was able to tell us yeah a lot of what you say declaren is spot on I mean look no matter what team it is going into an off-season you'll always get players saying oh yeah yeah this feels great it feels better no has been where you can kind of feel there's something about this team that as fans it does feel different if everything about it from the front office down to your coaches I'd just say they're with players as Adrian was talking about how they they go out and they do things together I know that all teams do that but it's just something special about it that feels like you know really something is happening here it feels like the Bears organization as a whole is is pointing the arrow in the right direction they're doing things they haven't done before and it feels like they're doing the writings and then you look at the end of playing Squad how you know Ryan poles came in and decimated it we know how many rookies and young players we had last season all with that again you know in mind to build it all back up again you know the certain players that weren't taken in the draft who were pretty much told they weren't taken unexplained the reasons we have a young locker room who are getting together they don't kind of want that you know potential personality that might upset it a little bit so it goes to show that they're not just bringing in players they think are good they're bringing in men they think are good you know who will will have a good overall kind of positive vibe into the roster as a whole and genuinely from the outside it feels like that and obviously doing this podcast we obviously like a lot of fans we take in everything we can from the Bears and it generally genuinely to me does feel different it does feel like there's a real positive volume there's a there's a hope that things are going the right way and then as you mentioned here on who knows what can happen this this NFC North is it's not what it has been over the last few years and while you don't want to hear Too Much expectations on the team the fact is it's a lot stronger at this point than I thought it was going to be I thought we're going to be more holes I think we talked about a couple of weeks here on a couple of weeks ago I thought there'd be more holes at this point than I expected that I knew was you know they were knocking it down and building it up so there was going to be a bit of a time as that developed to me it feels like it's developing quicker than I thought it will do and that has me excited now I'm not going to stand here and say don't go to the playoffs and win the Super Bowl who knows it's possible but it's unlikely this year but I like the way everything as I say with the arrow was pointing up there's a positivity I think for all of us and it's just Anne says it all the time it's just fun to watch and it's exciting to watch and the last year was worth going through because there was a purpose to it it was you know short time short-term pain for future gay and at the moment fingers crossed it does feel like it's going that way so it's great it's exciting and I I can't lie for the season now to just come along to see how it all actually does knit together yeah and I also think the fact it's the Green Bay Packers week one makes it even more interested as well it just it just adds to the whole idea whoever did up the fixtures did it Sensational one there in my opinion because I think this is exactly what it what it should be where we are you could and what I was really interested in why I asked the question about the leadership stuff is that that was the one area that I wanted to just wanted to hear somebody say that as well but there's more leaders coming through and more pushing through because that was a big part of the Rogue one Smith that was there in Chicago and and that was was missing at some points last year obviously but what's really interesting for me is that there's a there's a bulls and there's there's no there's not a hyperbilt we're not making a big sign Advance there's no one jumping up and down all the other fans are laughing at us and that's completely fine we were the worst team in the NFL last year I get that but there is something cooking here there is I just sent down a tweet looking at I looked at all our free agents that we signed and look at the names of the players on that list and nearly every single one of those players are constantly better than what anything we had before Karen we've been doing the show known as well for two and a half years when we first did the first year chemistry was when Joseph Fields got drafted and everyone's excited about what was he going to bring and last year we all knew it was a tear down scenario and what would we get to it this is something different and this is something that is exciting to me and I said it last week and and I probably got pillars first I'm more interested almost in seeing what the coaches do with this current team and because that's where I really want to see the step up from our coaching ticket as well as from on the field because I want to see our coaching ticket now with the players around them the kind of any excuses it's got to be a scenario where we're pushing on and making our game develop and that doesn't mean we win 10 11 12 13 games it means that we see a selling a development sign of our players creating something that is pushing on that again the year after yeah where I see this and where I get excited is I think the the changes that the organization have made over the last year so I think that's where this all stems down from the decision making of this team obviously you mentioned it though it's short-term paying for a long-term gain right like this is something that we've always said that if you're gonna suck in a season suck so that it's going to help you long term and that's what they're able to do by making that those trades because the Bears could go into this season where if they do have a successful year I don't care like whether they win 8 9 10 11 12 games doesn't matter right if you get to that range where you are either middle of the park or fighting for the playoffs well you're going into next year's draft and off season with again probably the one of the most amount of cap spaces in the league you're gonna have them one of the teams that has multiple draft picks in the first round you're in a division where we don't really know what these teams are going to be right like everybody expects their Lions to win the division this year like when you see I think there was like different polls from the different fan bases that I've gone out over the last week or so just asking of the other teams who do you think are going to win the division if it's not your team and most of them in terms of the Bears fans have said the Lions right and it made sense based on what we saw last year but we do have to remember is that we know how the NFL works like every single year there's one team that comes forth in one year and then ends up coming first and uh yeah I know I I need to turn the lights on here because it was completely bright and now it's just getting dark so while I do that you guys go talk um absolutely love it I was going to try and say it in the quiet chapter I didn't know how to say it like that that was pretty Daddy's back and yeah I think I I think the the bigger one for me is we don't have a clue you said about we don't know what the lines are going to be we have no idea what the Vikings and Packers are going to be say what you want to be always new with Karen that they that they were going to be a good offensive team that was the expectation under Rogers historically um and it's just we've no idea what this guy is it's gonna be like we've no idea what that team's gonna be like we also don't know what what the Vikings are going to be with what looks like no darling cook so what exactly are they going to be and also people forget about this we lost so many gains by one score going down the fourth quarter they won so many games in the fourth quarter play one score so flip seven games we lost by one I mean but if you flip them that's that's a massive change that's 10 wins then you're not according to right now obviously but that's not the way even if you panel but that's how close to where is there but even if you flip it around in the sense of let's say give three against one and three against the other Bears end up on six wins and they end up on something like nine or eight or nine I can't remember what their final number was but it just goes to show that that it's not as massively much as true on the Lions and I mean it's because I'm gonna say I don't want to talk about the term once but I can't wait to see how precious they deal with pressure because this is the first time that this group will be dealing with pressure real pressure to win games in their city and their first game is away to Kansas I can't remember who the second game is but if they lose that and they start zero and two or watch the panda kick in and uh it's a good thing week one isn't in Vegas just gonna say that much anyway [Laughter] even though even though based on the statements that's come out for the NFL today we better keep our military because there's there is a loads more to that story coming out yeah I I I actually wanted to talk a little bit about this I don't know what like fans think but if it gets to the point of where there's like loads and loads and loads of players that have done I've done this at what point does the NFL need to actually like take responsibility that these guys maybe didn't know exactly what this rule was because you would think when we're looking out of here you're like ah come on you have to know that you're not supposed to be betting on games blah blah but if you start to see like like I don't know how many guys whether let's just say it's 40 guys or 30 guys that have done it well at what point does that become the onus on the league to actually like make sure that these guys are aware that you can't do this like the only reason I'm saying that is because it came like I was listening to everything that went on with like Jameson Williams and he genuinely came across like he had absolutely no idea about this rule so like for me that's eater down to the NFL I'm not telling the teams enough or the team's not portraying that to the players and how important these rules are that if you break it you're getting suspended because like you can't you can't go into like an off season where there's like whatever it is going to be like right now there's what six or seven guys like someone the the guy that was done for the cult yesterday he's probably not gonna play for two years because of the amount of games he was betting on like this is where it's crazy to me um especially when you see the NFL is so indoctrinated with betting companies like at some point in time like there's got to be something that's done here um obviously I think this year they're going to use whoever gets done is kind of that example for everybody else and then everybody else knows what not to do but but it sounds a bit it sounds like there could be multiple players from every single team the way this is going yeah see my only answer to that yeah you're right right but the only answer that is there's 32 teams in the league there's 53 players in each team all right so multiply that number it is I have no idea what that number is if I'm completely honest and yet in all Williams is the guy that says he didn't know right so that's on him do you shoot like if I go to my job and I know that I I'm gonna get there's a I want to know what's going to get me to lose my wage so if I get my contract and I signed my contract and I know in my contract if there's five things I can't do if I do those five things I lose my job then I make sure I don't do those five things now if my employer doesn't tell me those five things that's on my employer but it's not all the people who wrote the rules now is the rule stupid potentially maybe maybe the rule is a super rule I'm sorry it doesn't matter clarify is it the case for most of them they're actually allowed bear they just bear on team premises are allowed place they just place them on team in premises it's not like the best they made were wrong it's just you're not allowed to do it in an NFL facility is that for another I know there was one or two or more than that but I think most of them are you just bet in the wrong place it's not on the NFL it's on the it's on the player to know what his restrictions are to his contract and it's on his employer to make sure that he's made aware of that so it's between them whether or not you know for example the Lions made it clear to their players and if they have well then it's on the player and if the lines haven't then they need to move themselves my whole point about that on the NFL is like let's say in two weeks time it comes over 50 players across the league have done it and it's across let's say 15 teams well then it's like is this something that the NFL maybe have put in recently with the uptick of gambling and how it became legalized and stuff like that and maybe it wasn't portrayed on what the sanctions were for some of this because I I find it's bizarre that we've never seen this before we start from one or two and now suddenly there's going to be loads of them like that's the that's the crazy one look the guy for the Cults I got it he was betting on his own games so like yeah that's different anyone who does that is like like that's that's different but like this is where I look at it in just the way this is gonna go about it and it makes sense and I agree with with this one here because it says betting Ops are ingrained into sports right and they're they're obviously gonna do it but like the problem is anywhere else like if you're betting right like we can't like if you're working at any other place well you're not supposed to be doing some of that sort of stuff while you're on company time and stuff like that but like it makes sense why you can't bet on NFL games but it also makes sense why you shouldn't be betting while you're on facility either like it it's actually a normal procedure like you shouldn't be doing it no matter what job you have like you can you can get in trouble on many different things the issue is with the NFL is the fact that as renewable and rechargeable review has said that there's they're so ingrained with these betting companies they think about fantasy football is basically betting right like you have DraftKings are on everything so like when you have such a big thing you're trying to get every fan of the sport betting you're gonna get players that are gonna do it because they want to get involved in it because it's what so many people are talking about think about it and NFL network right like half the day on Sunday before the game start is fantasy football and daily DraftKings so like I understand why they should not be doing it but I also think that the NFL does need to take some owners here because they're the ones signing all these these deals and stuff with all them at some point in time you're you're gonna get some of these guys we've seen in other sports as well right like I I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago about Ivan Tony from from Brantford in the Premier League he's played for five teams and all those teams one of their main sponsorship was a batting company and he gets done for betting to be fair here on he bet on Branford to lose games his own team to lose games that's why he certainly became big yeah I'm saying that right on your point Carolina you're right I agree with you but there's also a legal schematist I mean this is the this is the way I put this is that they're connected to the betting team so let's say a player comes out in three years five years time says I am now addicted to gambling and I was made by my team to go to a sponsorship event where the gambling gambling organization as part of the as part of my contract as part of my Lincoln to to the sponsorship stuff and I'm now connected to that and they go in front of the legal case well the NFL can then share well hold on no no no we've got this betting protocol pulled in place for every single team where we do every single stuff so we can't we're not legally able to be touched here because we've covered ourselves and I guarantee you that's massively connected to this conversation the other one is the president's already been set the door is already bolted the horse is gone and by Banning people already and I can't believe I forgot the name of the wide receiver and that's now gone to the Jags already Calvin ready once that happened once they had up in the storm because Ridley will sue them so let's say they changed the rules Randy will go whoa I've lost a full year of my of my contract and in that year I could have been Sensational I got more money out of the Jacks so the horses Boulder on this and there's a legal precedence to it for me I I don't take the I think the players have the full responsibility in this as long as long as the team has told them what they should do I think the team has to take it they have multiple guys like did like the Lions won the Lions one is is on the Lions I totally agree with that like that's what I'm saying like let's just say let's say just 10 more players and that's it and there's maybe one player on a couple teams well you'd still have the Lions with six guys that got done for probably because they're all doing it together right like be real like there's no problem wasn't their staff as well wasn't wasn't their staff as well yeah like but that like that's the crazy thing here right so at some point they're gonna have to take responsibility on this but again this has just been one of the bigger storylines that's been in in the NFL right now and look obviously it sounds like there's going to be a lot that's going to be going on here but look let's kind of deviate this back into to the Bears and I wanted to focus a little bit on the defensive side of the football obviously getting Adrian on the show today I think it was important because we always talk at the offense and we think that's going to be better but aunt you said in your Tweet earlier today people are forgetting some of the signings that the Bears made here like no you said it as well we expected that there'd be way more holes here if we're being honest the main hole is Edge rusher and really off the dot you can say okay yeah interior we're not 100 sure um guys but there's numbers there like there is Justin Jones there is Andrew Billings there's the two rookies there's some of those older guys that were more depth pieces last year there's more depth on the inside but obviously ad drill sure is somewhere where they need to improve on but when you look at afterlad in terms of the defense it's probably one of the strongest in terms of an overall group that we've seen in a while like you have everybody loved Jack Sanborn last year you then are able to sign seal to or draftsil that can be his backup or in certain situations come in then you spent money on one of the kind of most athletic interior linebackers in terms of Tremaine Edmonds you also spent a little bit of money on TJ Edwards who was one of the best linebackers in the League last year and then you look at it even a corner if Jalen Johnson comes back and if he is if he does get an extension and plays well you then get to mix in with Kyler Gordon in year two Tyreke Stevenson who seems to have come in and a lot of players are singing his Praises there was some of the other guys some of the other rookies like Terrell Smith who made a couple of good kind of days on rookie minicamp and at the start at OTAs and things like that and then you have Eddie Jackson coming back and you have Jaquan brisker who look when we were talking to Adrian he said brisker is one of kind of like those team captains he's one of those leaders which for a guy in just a second year is really really impressive so when I actually go back and think of it I think if the Bears had one pass rusher that people are like that's a guy that can get you like 10 sacks and stuff like that you could look at this team be like this is probably the most well-rounded Bears team that we've seen in quite a while yeah I think for me there's two things on there someone put a post on the Twitter today and said I'm sorry that Justin Fields who would be the player you want to to break out and I went with Chase local for the offense but I went with Dominic Robinson because exactly your point because if we if we somehow found it internally in Demarcus Walker on one side and Dominic Robinson I'm not saying he's going to do this but I'm just trying out there what it would be what it would do that changes his whole dynamic of this football team because then you're you're having you're having scenarios where are two rookies on the inside inside defensive line are coming in and coming out getting ready to push on and put pressure under the legs of Billings and Justin Jones and I just think it's going to be fun defensively and that's before we see the massive jump that we've made offensively on some of the signings we've made there so yeah I love the fact that this Bears team looks like it's starting to the Shell that was their last year is now starting to have bone on us it started to create some sort of of interest and Intrigue and I think we're really on the surprise teams I really do and stay fit obviously that goes without saying but I just love some of the moves um and even if only 70 didn't come off um we'll win a lot more gains of people are giving credit to us because sorry one last thing because we were so close to winning those games last year like we were so close to to this shocking the Eagles we were so close to shocking Miami Dolphins uh there was there was a couple you could have beaten the Packers at home we should have beaten the lions at home there's four games off top of my head that are flip games and it's it's it's just interesting to see what's going to be coming out this day so you know looking at this defense I think this defense is is so much better than last year as you mentioned here on okay this question mark tax on the interior we don't know we have the guys there we just don't know who they are at the moment on the outside yeah look we we know that's probably the biggest kind of how to feel when you look at that linebacking Rome now my God that's changed um if you look at that secondary now it's going to be interesting to see Jackson coming back see you know how he comes in but I love Briscoe he's probably after feels my favorite player in this team I just love his attitude I love the way he plays I love everything about him I think he could be a superstar for the team for years to come then Carla Gordon now could get a real boost because now he will just be the nickel he might go outside the odd time but realistically he will be concentrating on the nickel which kind of Narrows down what he had to do last year to this year now you know he's got less to focus on just that position by all account Stevenson has had a great OTAs and he's really looking to part I've seen that from a few analysts which is is great because he he looks like the kind of guy who could really make a difference if things click for him and wanting to just aren't mention there earlier was Dominic Robinson I've seen a few kind of people online saying oh well he didn't work he's not good enough whatever and I kind of talk people need to remember what he was when he was drafted he was the ultimate raw Prospect you know he was that athletic freak who was transitioning to the end you know he was was he a wide receiver in college and they were kind of transitioning them to that you know they're still he is still clay to be molded and who knows what he could do he started last season amazingly got a sack and a half find the kind of tailed off but I mean I didn't even think he'd play as much as he played last year I remember on an earlier show saying I didn't think he'd play too much well he played a fair bit but he was still an absolute raw Prospect who was a prospect so who knows maybe just next year with a bit of a more solid defense around him maybe he started to make that kind of next step up a next step and who knows maybe he could come in and give a little bit more this year uh so it'll be interesting to see what they do do they do they want to bring in a stock up you know on the edge until the draft next year or do they think they have the guys like Gibson and and you know some of the guys they brought in and Robinson that maybe can make that step up but overall I think this defense is much much improved than last year and I think we are definitely going to see a difference and if the center of that lion clicks the way we're hoping with these new high picks and Billings you know that takes a lot of pressure off the guys behind them and that gives them a chance to to ball out a little bit more and I'm I'm bringing it I say it a lot I'm really excited to see this team and defense you know is something I'm excited to see because I do think it's better as a whole I think it's much much better than last year and that's not said we were close in a lot of games last year who knows maybe some teams in our division have got a little worse you know maybe some of those games flip around and you never know what happens but again I'll say it the arrow just seems to be going in the right direction and and that's all you can ask for guys who basically knocked it all down and are building it again yeah and what what I do like when you mentioned the interior that defense I think Justin Jones had a productive year last year but he was the only one on the interior you then add Andrew Billings there that can be your nose tackle and allows Justin to kind of focus on trying to get after the passer right and trying to kind of engage into the backfield but then also you don't have to put too much pressure on Zach Pickens and Javon Dexter because they don't have to start they can come in when it actually suits them and that they can make plays and if you get towards the middle of the season and some and then they start to kind of get more reps at that point in time then it looks really really good look I think obviously if travon's axter turns out that the Bears are right in their analysis of him I think that it completely changes the way a lot of people view that draft right like he's the one he's like that X Factor that if he turns out to be that guy that you can have as that anchor of the defense because athletically he matches what we've been talking about what eberfleece wants so that's going to be a big thing and I think those young guys will determine where this defense can go I still think I think they'll sign an edge rush around a one-year deal because I think what you said now is what they want to do I think they want to get to next year's draft and draft they're gonna stood past Russia then um that's what I think they probably want to do and have a guy that they're going to be able to keep in that Bears defense for like five six seven eight years I think this year all they want to do is get a guy that they know that can come in and get off the deposit because they probably feel good about Demarcus Walker they probably feel good about Justin Jones Javon Dexter and all them but if you can get one guy opposite to Marcus Walker I think that's when it kind of gets a little bit better and I think people start to be confident in this defense like I think the one reason why you ask any Bears fan about the defense I have different kind of opinions and I think it's because there's no guy that we're like there yeah he's definitely gonna get like 10 11 12 sacks this year there's just none of those guys that are there watch what happens if the Bears do sign a guy like Yannick and gakoy or Frank Clark everybody's gonna be like oh this defense can be really good just because there's that I guess that name that people recognize that and get after the pastor because other than that I think there is a lot of pieces here that you could say this defense would be pretty good yeah the only thing I agree with you the only thing that's able to the name thing is that that seems the opposite to what polls is doing like it's it just seems the opposite of what he wants to do he doesn't want to have some guy in there territies he was going to be around for a year being the stored Superstar guy that gels the team together um I I think he I think he does get someone like that whether it's it's a Houston maybe I don't know I just think it'll be more in his eyes he'd love to see something else coming through whether it's whether it's Robinson whether it's again Demarcus Mark was a good player don't don't underestimate his ability as well I think I get but I get what you're saying we need to get that address to push us over the top the other one that that's really interesting is we had no kind of defensive at all last year with all due respect to Justin Jones we have known so that made the job and no one said earlier that made the job of the Box having difficult but it also made the job of the age washers borderline impossible because they didn't get a chance to know what they were actually going after and every single time we got close teams just ran the legs off our our defensive line and killed the game by running through us that's not going to happen this year I've never seen a bigger human in buildings have you talked about that and that could help Travis Gibson obviously he had a good season 20 years ago he had a good season a couple of years ago there was kind of a lot expected last season but maybe a lot was maybe too much was expected given what was around him after a few guys had gone Quinn and Rogue one suddenly that that defense was very very bare maybe this year now that added kind of numbers in there again will give him the chance to maybe do what some people had expected last season maybe the Bears are looking at them and saying you know what we think he can do it this year but that's what Akeem Hicks remember Akeem Hicks was in that team when when um Gibson first came true and he had he had Mack he had Quinn now Queen was terrible that year but he had Mack and he had Akeem Hicks and all the pressure was going inside so he the quarterback wasn't looming that much against us so what they were doing is they were back in the in the pocket a little bit longer and he was able to get at them because they weren't double teaming him they weren't doing anything the Bears the teaser played the Bears last year love the Gibson was probably the only potential person to get out of get out of quarterback so they double teamed him now I'm not saying that he wasn't poor either I just think there's a kickback coming from him because of what's going on inside I don't think it's enough I think I think we're talking about a guy who might get five six acts in a season as Karen right he said I think we're looking for somebody to go get that 9 10 11 someone that just makes our defense even more strong successfully because if they throw the ball and this is what I'm really excited about because they're I don't care why anyone's listen to me there is not a good quarterback in our division there just isn't right and they're going to make mistakes they're going to throw scenarios where our back our backfield players are going to get chance for interceptions and we've got a lot of dynamite bacteria tip to go and pick up all to pick up bosses yeah and look the thing that you can look at right is even before Mac was there when we still said the Bears had a decent enough defense on their John Fox that year right like before managi came in but when you actually look at it where did the socks come from it came from a key mix on the inside and when you look at what Eber flus likes to do he he's mentioned it even after the draft you build from the middle and that's where they want the pressure and maybe it makes it a little bit easier I like I said I think there's going to be a guy Houston whether it be I don't know Frank Clark and gagway anybody else that's still out there there's still plenty of guys that are available and even if it's like a Javion Clowney on a one-year deal okay cool it's another guy to put in the rotation that's done it before like there's there's options there the one thing I think people can forget about for now anyway is the whole Chase young thing like I keep seeing this all the time recently and you just have to listen to it the only way that you trade for him is that if his medical is completely clean which it's obviously not if the Washington commanders are essentially vlogging him to try and get somebody to trade for him um so I think I think you're locally you're probably looking at one of those free agent guys to come in but look it's going to be interesting to see I I'm just excited to see kind of this defense as well because albeit like we we're not sure what's going on with the edge brochures but there's definitely guys and the rest of that defense that can be very very good and we mentioned it before like it's not just the password like the Bears are the number 32 run defense in the NFL like that's the that's the difference here if you can stop the run you make it easier for your pass rushers right because they know what they're what's coming because you have kind of guys like buildings in the inside even Jeron Dexter even on some of those where you're expecting it to be a room you put your own Dexter and buildings in there and you plug the holes in the middle and make it hard for them to and make it more kind of obvious of what the team's gonna do like we didn't have that last year like Justin Jones isn't that kind of beefy defensive tackle like he's gonna go in there and try and penetrate and that's the same with Pickens but if you know for a fact okay like short yardage or something like that it's donut let's say turn in one or whatever and you know that the opposition is going to try and run up the middle opposition could do that last year the Bears knew it was happening and they still couldn't stop it this year with guys like Billings and Javon Dexter I think they're gonna have a better option to be able to do that I think that's what makes this a little bit more fun and obviously with that being said one of the questions I wanted to ask you guys is when we look at the Flora versus the ceiling for this defense let's just say they don't sign a pass rusher right now it's who we have where do you think it is for this team where do you think the defense is in terms of what's the worst kind of ranking we'll say they could be and where do you think is a realistic best ranking that they can go to so Anthony I'm going to come to you first what what do you think if you're trying to be as realistic as possible on this make it realistic as possible if they don't say another raise Russia to their their potentially an injury away from being a a back end of the like so 20 to 25 defense if they if they get that one injury to an Evans or they get one injury to I know Billings or something like that then then suddenly it's you are looking at a dangerous scenario but the the ceiling is is whatever they wanted to be because the age profile of these guys is insane like it's it's it was a Tremaine Edmonds is what 24 like I mean 24 25 it's like it's it's there's going to be there for quite some time and I'm just excited to see what they're going to be able to bring there's guys there who want to play for the Chicago Bears as well which may not seem a lot to a lot of people but that's a massive thing for me do I think they're a top 10 defense I think they will be in the Years time when they go and get that stored Edge washer in the draft and these guys are bedded into us because unlike our offensive coordinator I don't think Williams gets taken for uh for a head coach's job at the end of the year so that'll be probably his third year with this team with the same sort of same sort of uh success or same sort of growth pattern so this team again goes on with that with that group of of players so if that's the case this year I think you're looking at a I don't know around 15 to 20 Mark and a best case scenario and with a potential of pushing that even in further if they got someone in the air rush or if they got just another successful success out of the guys that they're carrying you put it really creating Dexter is a massive part of this whole project if Dexter has got into the team around week 13 14 and doesn't leave that at least statins on then we are looking at a potential top 10 defense really quickly because that means he's being successful you would help no same question to you is like where do you see the floor and then the ceiling for this defense yeah I think this defense is so much more or so much improved on last season for starters I don't think we're going to see the Run game anywhere near as effective against us as it was last season I know but I think this team is probably I would expect probably be around middle of the park maybe 15 to 20 as it sounds fair to me given where do you wear last season and then you know as Ann says going forward if they get that passage going forward and whatever other pieces they add to it you know I can see this over the next couple of years this defense really really stepping up and climbing that chart into top 10 and maybe going forward but I mean I just look at it I mean we're looking obviously at the interior of the line we want to see how these two guys as you say Karen there's no rush on them coming in but it'll be nice to see how they do kind of go this season I mean if they click and and Billings if those guys in the center click it could really re as I say it makes a big difference to everyone behind them we have that young exciting linebacking car who I think are going to make a big big difference and then I think we we the young cornerback group who really look good let's say Eddie Jackson's going to be interesting to see now how everything was a Liz Frank injury had see how he kind of comes back from it this year but overall I think I don't think it's a stretch or over the top to say this team could be at least middle of the pack in terms of Defense because I am really excited about what they've done I do really really think it's been carefully put together and they've got guys that they want looking at the Tremaine Edmonds move you know as Ann says he's a young guy he's going to be around for a long time and it's arguable to say he never really hit his peak in in Buffalo he's really only coming in he could be coming into that time now over the next year or two where he really really develops because he was very young coming out from from the draft Yeah you know so he's still learning but the signs are he could be a really really tough player and he's starting to kind of hit that middle 20s now where you know things might start clicking even even for him into place even better so I think I think middle of the pack you know at worst for me is where this defense will go now look maybe it's over the top as it goes on we get into three season maybe it might not change but I don't think so I think they've done a lot of work again I like the fact that Alan Williams is there from last year you know because we have that familiarity where it goes and changing and getting used to someone else I think John Hulk maybe came in as a DB's coach but other than that again you know that hasn't been massive for people so there's no new things to learn in terms of someone else coming in and getting to jail with them so yeah I'm positive on this middle of the pack for me is realistic kind of shot for this defense this year and over the next couple of years genuinely think with the right guys coming in next year you know on the edge and maybe a couple of other guys you know this defense could really step up with a guy like Hebrews there as well obviously kind of overseeing it all yeah I agree like I think you're realistically you're looking at middle of the pack right like I think you're looking at anywhere from when healthy let's say 13 14 to maybe 20 right like that makes sense but it all depends on how some of these guys come in like Tremaine Edmonds comes in and he is that leader of the defense and is that kind of potential Superstar on on that the middle of the defense and you're talking like this team and much different light like a lot of people will always compare him and Rogue one because they're in the exact same draft both taken in the first round and got similar contracts but it's just so much that he fits the athletic the athletic profile of what eberfloosh wants that long rangy athletic freak in the middle of the defense Rel Quan Smith's a great player but he's not that player right like he isn't that like big interior kind of linebacker where you're looking at it's like how the hell did he reach that and being in this defense he's gonna get a little bit more play the football I think that's what they're saying they want to see him kind of take the ball away and doing that more and just tipping balls because again he's able to because he's long and he's athletic and that's what they expect that's something they wouldn't have been able to have with Rogue one so it's gonna be interesting there but also being able to like I think I don't think people realize just how much better the linebackers are going to be this year like we had what Joe Thomas starting last year like obviously Rogue one was there but he had like people who were asking yeah Nicholas Marvel people were asking oh well Sterling Weatherford get a chance like those dudes wouldn't even get close to kind of starting for the Bears this year and that's really really important you looked at the opposite corner to Jalen Johnson like that likes a Kindle Builder like people were saying why can't Kyler Gordon just play on the outside opposite because whoever is going opposite jail and Johnson's getting killed all the time like getting somebody in like Tyree Stevenson like everybody's talking really well about him so what I think about this defense is the the only question mark right now is an edge rusher I think if they bring somebody in that you know over a one year can get to the passer I think that's when we look at it and we say this could be probably the most well-rounded defense we've seen since some of those kind of the good ones in terms of when we had Khalil Mack and that year where Khalil Mark and Leonard Floyd when they were kind of going off like that's where it's going to be interesting here to see how we go I guess the last thing in terms of the defensive side of things I wanted to ask you guys because this is what I was thinking about over the last couple days it's just on defense who do you think the camp breakout star is going to be we always talk about the wide receiver right like we always talk about there's always that unknown wide receiver or I don't know the tight end that everybody falls in love with if we focus on the defense who do you think that buddy and the training camp everybody's going to be talking about on this defense of being like either that person needs to start or that person's making the team and they should get more reps now so all day that's a really really good yeah really really good pick there I just think there's something about the kids just like no it was a really good pickup as well where they got him and everything yeah what what about you now do you agree on no sealers or any other names that you think well I think nosell is definitely in that conversation you know what let's let's see the Anthony Jones and let's see if he can uh take advantage of this you know need for a password he's probably not going to but it'd be nice to see if he could even make that you know roster or the practice squad you know I think you know obviously we had a man sometimes but he actually is a good player watching what he did you know look it's obviously a long shot for a player like that's the udfa but then you know so it was for Jack sandborne last season so who knows so I'll say our our need at past rush at the outside maybe he can step up over camp and and do something to kind of get himself noticed no he reminds me of that you could kind of play a similar role just being that udfa guy that people do kind of gravitate towards uh I think not a lot of people thought was going to make the roster I think it was on I think it was in 2019 was it like Isaiah Irving or something like that it was like like no no he came from I know he came from like San Jose State and nobody expected anything and everyone's like ah it's just a udfa yeah he's not gonna he's not gonna make the team but he ended up making the team and he played in 13 games for the Bears now he wasn't the starter but he kind of filtered in and out and always had a couple of good preseason games and stuff and I won't be surprised if someone like De'Anthony Jones was on that kind of pedestal this year I think the obvious ones I think people will talk about just because they're pure sizes if Javon Dexter looks good in Camp people will start saying uh he he should be starting Tyrell Stevenson yeah or Terrell Smith might be you know the one that I think is kind of getting a little bit of that already but but you know sorry Karen you know what I love about this though we looked at last year you know the amount of rookies and Jack Sanborn these guys will give someone a shot if they step up so these players know that like I'm not just here to make up numbers if I do it these guys will give me that chance and will give me the shot to go in there so I think even for those those young players it's great to see what what happened last year and to know that if they work hard enough maybe they can get that shot you know and I think I think it's great that they're willing to give young players that kind of Bounce and a chance to to make it yeah absolutely and I think that is gonna be the important thing and what I like about this and it goes back to my kind of excitement for the season I think last year we were focusing on like maybe three or four players that we're hoping would like have that uptick this year we can talk about multiple guys that we're excited about to see kind of like I can't wait for a training camp because you get to see all the fans that are out there that get to take the videos and get to tell us all about it because look we don't get a chance to be there we would if we could but we don't get that opportunity but we only we only get little Snippets from the media when they're the only ones allowed to be there because the Bears don't let anything go out there but at least with the fans is all the fans that want to break the rules and put the videos out there and I love those people we've had those people on the show they're great they're brilliant because we get to we get to see more because at that point we're starved right like we've OTAs for a couple weeks here and then it's literally six weeks and it's basically nothing so that's where I think it's going to be really really interesting but look this is kind of a little bit of a preview of the defense heading into the end of OTAs going into Camp obviously we'll hope that there might be another signing we'll cover that we'll talk about that when it does happen but we're going to round out the show today with one or two of kind of our fun things that we like to do right and I was thinking about this and I know in recent weeks we've kind of done mystery topics and nothing related to football but honestly I was I was looking at something earlier on today and I was and it kind of links in with what we were talking about a little bit earlier on like the betting and the sponsorships and stuff obviously the NFL doesn't do Jersey sponsorships right but if they did is there any sponsor that you think will be very very very funny to have on it doesn't have to be on the Bears Jersey which one do you think would suit a team the most if let's just say they went down the football row and started putting it on like underneath the numbers on the jerseys or something like that what do you think would be one of the your phone ear wounds or which one do you think would fit the Chicago Bears perfectly oh that's a great question that is my first my first reaction was name me a cheese brand green I was thinking Irish celty cheese um yeah for cheese that's a great question who would I who would I really want for the Chicago Bears you want someone like you know like pizza bread so like like that um getting some class in Chicago's Chicago Pizza um that would be good that's not a bad shoe [Laughter] yes Lee love it um yeah anything yeah that's it yeah some really really good ones um [Laughter] [Music] yeah for what teams or what team you're not stating the team um yeah it would be it goes back to what you said I bet no because suddenly you're opening up bearing conversations and then you're opening to to really interesting ones where you're getting rid of guys even though you're taking their Millions to another Jersey um it is something that surprised me about American sport there is a lot more Jersey sponsorships I I get you but it's a massive part of the of the hospital like they've even done it with like the NBA right like they've like was it the Bulls are like Zenni for a while but like you just look at some of them like I always remember there was a oh what was it I think there was a team in England on their sponsorship was like boner like it was like there's those type of ones that are always the best or like it's I think what what team was it actually no I think it was like Saint Johnstone in uh [Music] yeah but like I I think it would be some of them would be kind of funny um yeah like here we go and American sport is full of sponsorship they sponsored The [ __ ] Coin time no no but my point my point on that is yeah 100 but my point is that the main source of commercial Revenue in Europe and the UK is through Jersey sponsorships main headline sponsorship that's their main source of Revenue and after that day they sponsor everything the Americans that's where I'm I'm shocked because if you look at all the football teams right or like soccer teams right and some of the biggest money comes to their spread their short shirt sponsorship right like where it's I remember I think it was like man united at the time when they did it with Chevrolet I like I think it was worth like 200 million or something like that is better than that I go in front of that DHL sponsor Manchester United's training kit for 20 million a year they're training kids do you know what that means you know what that actually surprises me is that NFL teams don't have a training kit that's what like shocks me that they just have their normal like plain blue kind of jersey with with pads and stuff like that I'm shocked that like especially when there's no pads on that they're not expected to like have some extra training gear that they could sell to the fans because it's it's one that people will kind of go for it because when you look at other sports those are the things that people actually buy um because they're a little bit cheaper as well but it's going to be interesting to see Tony mentioned another one I'd like to see some more crossover bringing soccer ass chants and songs well look I I kind of I thought it was interesting in terms of a in terms of the question I don't think I'd ever want to see it on our Jersey especially not in the front but it it's one of those like I would love it if it was like I think the obvious one you mentioned it on is like someone like a Lou Malnati's or Giordano's or something like that or a local enough like famous kind of Chicago kind of food place would be kind of the best one personally I love it if it was like an Irish brand that would be pretty cool um to be able to do like Guinness or something like that but I don't think we're gonna be too far away from stuff like that happening it may not ever go on the front of the Jersey but don't be surprised if it goes in the back um because that's what a lot of these kind of when you look at all the pictures and stuff you're constantly seeing like players from the back the back of the jersey and it's just blank and I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that happen I'd be against it I wouldn't want to see it because I like the fact that you can buy a jersey and it's the same the entire time and you don't have to constantly get a New Jersey because there's a new sponsor and all that I love the fact that the NFL doesn't do it but I won't be surprised if they end up changing that when they're like how can we make even more money for ourselves you look at Barcelona I can't remember what it was personal only used answer matter of fact oh get a sponsor I think they got they got like a charity sponsor just to kind of prove a point that were too big for getting a sponsor and a year later they got Qatar airlines or whatever they got them they were suddenly realizing do you know what we're gonna take that 200 million a year off you thank you very much we'll be fine thank you moifying the same thing go to yeah definitely Triple R 100 with this as well multiple ads like NASCAR all over the shorts straight back everything the whole way around that's what a commercial manager's dream is in any sports club I can tell you that you you yeah and you would be an option to have and working in like F1 or something like that oh that was just a dream when I overworking commercially you just sit there and go where can I put where can I find a space and someone to put a jersey and and then you'd go mad if it started ripping off or I thought it was good crack yeah yeah absolutely but look it's it's been a good day today yeah again getting to talk to Adrian culbert if any of you guys didn't get a chance to tune in earlier on in the show Adrian one of the bear safeties got brought in last year in November so he got to see kind of what was happening Clyde Moore the scout team obviously at the back end of last year but has got to witness what he saw from last year and moving it on to this year gave us some really nice Insight in terms of the players kind of the chemistry that they've built so far the fact that he's mentioned that those guys when they finished they kind of still work together met he talked a little bit about the rookies as well so make sure you go back to the first kind of 10 15 minutes of this video where Adrian joined us on the show it was really really good we're working on getting some other Bears players over the next next few weeks to get them on the show as well um we're gonna be getting different media members all that sort of stuff on that again people that you want to hear from so we appreciate everybody joining us today we will be back if there's any news we'll be back this week if not we'll be back next week and with another episode of the podcast obviously while the season is still kind of at a low point where really we're only getting updates once a week from the media we're not really getting much more than that so while that's going on we are going to be on kind of once a week unless there's other things going on but once it ramps back up again you'll have us back when it's the kind of normal two to three days a week and kind of covering everything that goes out there but obviously if anything happens we will be back we will be there talking about any news that comes out but we are excited like all you guys are we can't wait for kind of the end of OTA start a training camp so we can re-delve into this team so make sure that you like the video make sure that you subscribe make sure you follow us over on Twitter over on
