about them is also about us so we also had some things to evaluate on ourselves so I feel like that's what we got to do when you um the defense put up a performance only three points for back to back game what have you learned or what do you know about thison I know I know we're tough I I I know when things when things don't go our way I know I know we have that type of mental toughness to battle through adversity I think that was the biggest thing I got what was PR's uh postgame message to you guys after this uh you know it was a great game but we also got a lot more things to know you know a lot of lot lot of areas to get better thank you so much career high three tackles for loss today big start to the season you to Le the team of snaps last week what's allowed you to come out and play as well as you have the start the year uh if you want me to be honest it's just my teammates you know these guys you know they pour into me day in day out um they they had my back when I was back when I was down you know kind of went through a lot mentally when I when I missed the season last season so I just say overall my teammates my coaches just the love that they give me every day and that's what keeps me driving was able to bring me out defensive line bad a little bit of injuries to start this season does that make the fact that you're going out there you christianer having that veteran leadership and playing that well does that make it even better for you guys to start the season that way especially with some of the intention you guys have got for this off season I wouldn't say better um I feel like with with the adversity that we've been facing in the D line room is just causing us to be able to just stay on it you know um usually we go off the turn next man up but that can't happen we just got to knuckle up and do our job next week you guys see Brock Vander Jam Jam Johnson a couple familiar faces you excited about that playing those those guys especially because of the fact they are former teammates and obviously you want to see them do well you want to win as well oh yeah definitely excited to see Brock and um jam Dumis Johnson I actually came in with him in the co class so it's going to be it's going to be a good match up you excited to hit Brock potentially for the first time oh yeah yeah I'm excited to see him yeah I feel like I play you person what about the defense um we got some things to clean up but we we get good in a lot of areas what's the biggest thing you think of the front end if there's any concern or something you think you guys really need to focus what would you say consistency you know we got to stay consist the seon put good things on tap what you like to to be back in Sanford And even against this opponent to you know the fans are out here you know enjoying the first game of the year like do you get a chance to S you know taste that kind of thing or not really oh yeah it was fun it was fun seeing all the fans especially cuz it's the first home game you know first home game season all the fans do stuff so it was fun to watch everybody come out here yeah so next week you guys are back into SEC ball how confident do you feeling with this group two weeks in already uh I feel good real confident you know we got practice this week we got a lot of things to go back fix you know get ready for con next week so I I feel I feel really good going into SEC football any kind of weird feelings or emotion knowing you're going to see Pop you're going to see Brock out there uh not not weird emotional just just happy to see them boys you know I came in I came in with them actually Co class so just happy to see them succeed you know I hold the best for happy to see him next week what happens when uh I mean but you want to bring him down right you want to you want to get Rock on the ground you never got to in practice here right yeah yeah n n so I'm really just glad to see PR him you know excited he's doing well in t what was your reaction when you saw Branson get in the end zone you know his story Branson scoring a touchdown what went through your mind when you saw that it kind it kind of like it it kind of pierced me a little bit because um me and Bron shared moments last season we we actually were hurt at the same time so me and him had talks and and KN knew what we had to do to get back and be successful so to see him go out there and do that you know um it it really it really made me happy last question what kind of defense do you think this team is evolving into right now what do you see so far about what you guys can be uh we had we had a potential to be a really good defense you know we F ourselves on defense at Georgia and I feel like we have we have a chance to withhold the standard this season
