today the 29th of August 2024 marks the long-awaited opening day of the Neville boner bridge this marks a significant milestone for the city of Brisbane and Matt and I just had to go and check it out for ourselves it adds a connection to the South Bank Precinct with the bustling CBD and just happens to be opening right before the massive riverfire Festival this weekend the bridge named in honor of Neville boner was the first first indigenous Australian to serve on Australian Parliament and stands as a symbol of cultural recognition the bridge features a unique architectural design combining modern Aesthetics with Innovative engineering making it a striking feature of Brisbane Skyline this provides pedestrians with stunning views of the Brisbane River and surrounding areas since the early hours of this morning people have been using the walkway and taking taking advantage of the new Queen's Warf Precinct with the brand new Star casino and hotel along with restaurants bars and lots of luxury retail shops to come while there's no filming inside the casino the place is massive and certainly a lot of people around as part of the exciting development of Queens WF the new Sky Deck or observation deck is located on the 23rd floor you can access this from elevators on level four and it opened as of 5:00 p.m. Thursday evening just like everyone else we wanted to be the first few people in the general public to get up there and oh my god well there was quite a Quee to wait although this line moved pretty quickly once it got going within a minute you'll open up to an expansive cresant shaped deck and luckily we made it just in time for sunset at a height over 200 M it might not be as high as the sky Point tower on the Gold Coast but it's definitely one of the highest views in Brisbane and it looks just amazing with the city lights coming out at night if you dare and you're not afraid of heights don't miss the added feature of the glass walkway which overlooks the CBD traffic flowing on the Riverside Expressway seen as it was the first night there was still a lot of VIPs and personalities around and over a 100 people trying to get their selfie moment from The Edge I reckon if you're looking for that one instagram moment in Brisbane CBD then this would have to be your spot and I recommend checking it out when you're next in town but for any other activities check out my video here on the best things to do in Brisbane thanks for watching guys
