just kind of medium heavy on your shoulders I don't know would you just grab it and we're going to give those burdens to the Lord Jesus says take my yoke upon you it is light and easy so Jesus we're giving you all of these burdens things we're trying to make happen things we're striving about stuff about oursel that we can't change stuff about oursel or our lives or our plans that we really don't have any power over and we give those burdens to you we ask Lord that you clean our shoulders and our backs and that Lord you would put on us your light burden that Lord anything that we're carrying that doesn't belong to us we give to you and ask Lord Jesus that you would Breathe the Breath of Life deep inside us once again and remind us that we are children Sons and Daughters of the king of kings and Lord of lords not because we earned it not because we strived for it but because you are so good all we had to do is say yes to receive the best gift we've ever gotten so Lord once again we breathe you in we breathe out anything unlike Jesus we breathe only Jesus in and we breathe out anything that is unlike our true Lord thank you Father let's thank the Lord for what he's done already this morning oh you know we just got done with uh we came back from sabatical uh the beginning of August just a few weeks ago but it kind of feels like we're back again I don't know it just feels like a a new a new uh a new day somehow welcome to Morning Star Fellowship Church if I haven't gotten a chance to meet you my name is Gary Webb I'm the lead pastor of our local church here uh we are so today morning Stars leader and the senior pastor of our local church Chris Reed thank you thank you Pastor Gary good morning everybody morning it's good to see you all here today and we're glad that you're here for our 11:00 a.m. service and um just uh put a couple things before you since I was up here last I think three Sundays ago was when I spoke last um that following week many of you know about this but my uh mother um developed some uncomfortable stomach pain and so Dad and she went to the hospital they found a softball si uh tumor in her colon um that surgically had to be removed and just in the last day or two um and I got her permission by the way to share ask you to pray about this she found out that there around stage three cancer they're saying that she still might have because there were things in the blood vessels and all of that so will you pray with uh me for Mom just for total healing they're talking about further treatments and I know this is a great strain upon my dad and uh and upon her and um well life can hit you hard sometimes can it um but uh anyways we're believing for uh healing for her and um and I was actually that weekend supposed to go back to uh my church that I pastored before I moved here uh three years ago when I pastored in Indiana for 12 years that didn't work out and then last weekend I was with Pastor John Kilpatrick um down in uh Daphne Alabama he was the leader of the Brownsville Revival many of you will probably remember that back in the 90s I think it was from 1995 to 2000 but I mean millions of people from around the world came through there did anybody go to the Brownsville Revival just curious wow look at that a number of people anyway he was just such a delightful man and um just to make connection with him was really something special and just a a real Connection in the spirit and um so thankful for that um I'll go ahead and pull up the PowerPoint just a quick Shameless plug if you want some reading material um how many of you have read seven spirits of God my first book yeah if you haven't you can pick them up here in the bookstore get them off the Morning Star website or of course they're on Amazon as well you can scan that QR code in the one that just came out I don't know four or five months ago developing your prophetic filter learning how to hear God's voice how he uniquely speaks to you I encourage you to pick that up if you haven't in the bookstore or the Morning Star ministries.org store or you can also get it off of Amazon as well and um I think that this book will really help you if there's one thing we need in this hour it's to hear his voice there's a lot of voices you know Paul said it in his day he said there are many voices speaking in the world and none of them are without significance but if all we have left is the voice of God that's all we need and in the end you've got to do what he says you have to obey and know and identify his voice interpret it correctly and apply it correctly so I encourage you to read that that will be a blessing to you the title of my message today is the four gates to freedom and fullness the four gates to freedom and fullness there's something about fours lately three Sundays ago when I was up here I talked about four of a kind beats a full house and uh today we're going to talk about a lot of different fours as well but I'm going to read from acts chap 12 and I'm reading from the new King James version acts 12 and verse one now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church pause how many of you have ever dealt with harassing Spirits the enemy will work through people he'll work through situations you're going through just to harass you just to um cause you to dis to lose your peace to try to disturb your peace and I want to speak and minister to those of you here today that uh may have felt spiritual harassment okay it's a real thing verse two then he killed James the brother of John with the sword and because he saw it please the Jews he proceeded further to seize Peter also now it was during the days of unleavened bread so when he he had arrested him he put him in prison and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him intending to bring him before the people after Passover remember that intending to bring him before the people after Passover Peter was therefore kept in prison but constant prayer somebody say constant prayer constant pray constant prayer was offered to God God for him remember that constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church so who was the church praying for Peter that's right verse six and when Herod was about to bring him out that night Peter was sleeping bound with two chains between two soldiers and the guards before the door were keeping the prison Now Behold an angel of the Lord stood by him and a light Shone in the prison and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up saying arise quickly and his chains fell off his hands then the angel said to him gge yourself tie on your sandals and so he did and he said to him put on your garment and follow me and so he went out and followed him and did not know that what was done by the angel was real but thought he was seeing a vision pause now that's how you know when God has intervened you can't tell if this is real or not verse 10 when they were past the first and second guardpost notice that when they were past the first and second guard poost they came to the Iron Gate that leads to the city which opened to them of its own accord so how many gates are we've come through here already he went past the first and second ward and then he got to the third one which was the iron gate which leads to the city and I like how the Bible says this which open to them of its own accord means they didn't knock they didn't pry they didn't try it just God gave them access to the city and the culture of its own accord they didn't force anything strive it just happened that really resonates to me and they went out and went down one street and immediately the angel departed from him and when Peter had come to himself he said now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and has delivered me notice carefully two things he says he's delivered from he has delivered me from the hand of Herod number one and from all of the expectation of the people the Jewish people two things he had to be delivered of and delivered from before the gate the iron gate to the city would open to its own own accord he had to be delivered of his inner prison and the expectation of people before doors started naturally opening for him wow so when he had considered this verse 12 he came to the house of Mary the mother of John whose surname is Mark where many were gathered together praying Now remind you who were they praying for him and as Peter knocked at the door of the gate pause this is gate number four it's the Gate of the church as Peter knocked at the door a girl named Roa came to answer when she recognized Peter's voice because of her gladness she did not open the gate wow thanks a lot she got so excited she forgot to open the door for him because she recognized his voice she'd probably heard him preach many times so she identified his voice but she ran and announced that Peter stood before the gate that's the fourth gate but they said to her you're beside yourself but she kept insisting that it was so so they said it is his angel now now pause for just a second I want you to see what's happening here the church is gathered together praying in this house oh God in Jesus name please save the Apostle Peter please please bring about a divine intervention send an angel to him Lord and help him get out of that inner dungeon oh God in Jesus name we plead the blood we plead the blood we plead the blood we know God that you're a prayer answering God we know that you hear and answer prayer and you told us whatsoever we ask in your name you would do it so please Lord set him free please constant prayer Lord we ask you in Jesus name please Lord the prayer the answered prayer come knocking at the door and it was easier for the church to believe it was an angel than it was the actual answered prayer itself I mean think about it is his angel going back to praying oh God please intervene please you're mad it's not him telling that girl Roa you're crazy that can't be him it's just his Angel Peter continued knocking when they opened the door and saw him they were astonished what an amazing passage of scripture the Bible speaks of the ultimate fear it's the fear of death let me read to you Hebrews chapter 2 and verse 14 and 15 read this carefully since therefore the children share in Flesh and Blood he himself speaking of Christ likewise partook of the same things that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death that is the devil and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery fear is a terrible slave master and it was the scriptures clear that it was by Jesus dying on the cross he was sinless he never committed a sin but he took our sin as his as if it were his own and he died on the cross and that verse notice it says that through death that's why we talk about and emphasize the cross so much it was through death he destroyed the one who had the power of death that's it's the blood it's the preaching of the cross that breaks the power of the devil do you see that that's as clear as can be it's through death he broke the power of the one who had the power of death and deliver all those who through fear of death were lifelong slave that verse resonates with me because what the wages of your sin and my sin are is death Jesus Took the wages of our sin and he died and when we put our faith in him something happens the Holy Spirit takes us and positionally places us in Christ so when God looks at us he sees Jesus that's true our faith by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body by your faith in Christ and what he did at the cross and believing that it's for you and that it will remit your sin and make you a new creation in the mind of of God you died with Christ on the cross crucified with Christ but yet I live yet not I but Christ who lives Within Me Galatians 2:20 so in the mind of God here's what putting your faith in Christ and his cross does the spirit of God places you in his mind and the mind of God places you in Christ's death you die with him all of your sins and all your pasts are buried with him and then resurrection power breaks see that's why Jesus rose from the dead it was his death that broke the power of the devil you understand that notice it says that through death he might so what's the you saying the resurrection had nothing to do with no what I'm saying is is his death was what broke the power of the devil and it was by it was because the devil's power was broken and it's because sin was paid for your sin my sin his resurrection is proof that his death worked his resurrection is proof that he defeated sin he did he stripped the devil of his power his resurrection proves that the blood works and that the devil no longer has the power of death which is the wages of sin does that make sense to you I'm going to make two points here it's interesting number one the degree to which you fear death is the degree to which you are in slavery number two the degree to which you fear death is the degree of resurrection power that you're currently lacking resurrection power is provided by Jesus's victory over death at Calvary resurrection power is provided by the one who has power who took the power from the Devil the power of death resurrection power gives victory over the sin nature over sickness and disease so that you can live a Victorious overcoming life which should be the goal of every Christian and to make disciples the apostles changed the world in that first generation the Bible says that the whole Known World at that time heard the gospel preached in a matter of a generation because it says that the apostles were Fearless of death 11 out of the original 12 died vicious terrible deaths history records I mean we're talking talking about being flayed alive beheaded crucified upside down and you know why they changed the world and turned the world upside down the Bible says because they were Fearless of death it proves that they really believed Jesus was alive because remember he didn't just spend three days with him after he rose from the dead he spent 40 days with him after his resurrection teaching the things concerning the kingdom of God so the truth of the matter is if you want proof historical proof of the Resurrection why would 11 out of the 12 disciples die a barbarous gruesome death for a madeup lie the very people that were hiding behind doors after his crucifixion for fear after they saw him alive fear was eradicated because fear is rooted and connected to death that's the ultimate fear so the lack of resurrection power in The Believer will be seen and heard in their theology their actions their behavior their demeanor the gospel of course is the message to us the themes the transforming power that was accomplished through Jesus's death burial and Resurrection and that's the reason why faith is connected to resurrection power listen to this carefully if fear is connected to death and the ultimate fear is death if fear is connected to death then faith is connected to resurrection power so the more fear you have the more fear of death will have and it will make you a slave in bondage and slavery whatever it is you might be a slave to Hang-Ups habits hurts things that control you influence how you think talk act control your life I'm no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God remember that song I'm no longer a Slave To Fear the real faith that you have in Christ the more real Faith how many of you would ask for God to give you faith today because you know what you may fail but as long as your faith doesn't fail you'll get back up again Hallelujah remember what Jesus told Peter when Peter said he would never deny the Lord he told him yeah you will before the rooster crows you'll deny knowing me three times but Simon Simon Satan has desired to sift you as if you're wheat but I've prayed for you that your faith fails not Jesus didn't pray that Simon Peter wouldn't fail he prayed that Simon Peter's Faith wouldn't fail you may fail but if your faith doesn't you'll get back up again a righteous man falls seven times but he'll always get back up again because we're not living in it of ourselves our faith is placed in a risen [Applause] savior [Music] Hallelujah so real faith in Christ it is the gift of faith faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God that's why you need good teaching and preaching that's how you receive faith faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God you know it's amazing isn't it how you can listen to different speakers or different preachers and when I listen I I I don't necessarily just get up and you know caught up in their personality or their preaching style and there's all different kinds and that's okay I listen for his voice in their voice so the more real faith that God imparts to you and you can ask for him to give you you more faith I ask for it Lord we ask for real Faith yeah we got saving Faith Lord we want healing Faith delivering Faith providing Faith Miracle working faith and the more real Faith you have the more evidence resurrection power will will be found in your words your actions and no fear will bind you in any way I said it earlier I'll say it again the root of all fears and all phobias the root of all of them is the fear of death if you can overcome the fear of death then you can overcome all other fears because the fear of death is the root of every other fear how many of you be honest now have a fear of spiders I don't NE necessarily mean like those little brown ones I'm talking about like the six foot tall ones that can come out of your closet at 3:00 a.m. the truth is the spider itself is not really what you're afraid of it's what can the spider do to me and the ultimate thing that the spider can do to me is it can kill me how about snakes one man said one time you know some a lot of people have this misconception that Pentecostals and charismatics are snake handlers because they saw some documentary on A&E in 1987 it's less than like 1% of Pentecostals are snake handlers in mostly in Appalachia America one man was asked one time who went to a snake handling church he said why do you why do you you know snake handle when the spirit comes upon you he said it's a way I demonstrate and prove my faith guy said I think I'll stick to walking on water listen I'm working on it I really am I enjoy jumping in the water and Defying Gravity Hallelujah but seriously if you don't like snakes it's because you're afraid of what that the ultimate root of all fears and phobia is afraid of Heights if you're afraid of heights why what would be the purpose of being afraid of heights that you might fall the distance so the fear of death is the root of all other fears but that's not the only kind of fears or phobias anybody ever experien the fear of failure the fear of defeat the fear of losing fear of the worst possible outcome in any given situation how about this one Fe fear regarding your children and their well-being and the decisions they'll make or the people they're hanging out with how about this one this one's a real one right now fear of the economy of the loss of a job this is fear of missing God's will for your life yeah see these are all these are all fears that we all experience to some degree fear of missing the right Divine connection ctions in life that people were supposed to meet to get us to the next level or to whatever it might be there's always something that fear of failing but if if God can deliver you of the root of all fears which is death and through Jesus death he destroyed the power of the one who holds the power of death and so since sin which you were atone for sin your sin was placed on him when he died do you understand that ultimately we gave him our sin he died in our place and he gave us his resurrection power because sin and death couldn't hold him down be the reason why death couldn't hold him down is because he didn't have any sin in his life of course he said destroy this body in three days I'll raise it up again so the father raised Jesus from the dead and broke the power of sin and the power of fear so if you understand the connection between sin and fear then you can understand the power of of the connection between sin and death and how that fear is produced from those but God wants to liberate us from the fear the ultimate fear of all fears and when we get liberated of that one all the other ones can go way as well because your faith is in Christ and you don't have a reason to fear because he suffered in your place he died for your sins and is giving you resurrection power so guess what if I slip and fall by the grace of God that won't happen but if I slip and fall and hit my head on a rock tomorrow I'm One Heartbeat Away from Glory because whether you feel like it or not whether you feel overjoyed and overconfident whether you feel like you're on the Mountaintop with God whether you realize it or not you have resurrection power living on the inside of you right now your body and flesh May Fail and they may eventually no one's got out of it except for a couple of guys in history you know they may eventually put you six feet under but your spirit man is alive and ultimately that's why the Resurrection The Coming of the Lord is the ultimate hope for the the church the ultimate hope for the church is the preaching of the imminent Second Coming the imminent Return of the Lord Jesus Christ because the Bible says when he comes and that trumpet sounds he shall change our vile body that it will be fashioned like unto his glorious body for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with the Shout with the voice of the Archangel and the dead in Christ shall rise first and we which are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet them in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord the Blessed hope of the church for this corruption shall put on incorruption this mortality shall put on immortality and as the saying goes oh death where is your sting oh grave where is your victory the Final Act of redemption is when your physical body gets the change your spirit man already [Music] has I thought that was pretty good myself that's why faith in Christ atoning death at Calvary releases power for you it's called Grace you put your faith that's why I talk a lot about keeping your faith in the right object it's not about the wood beam or anything like that it's about what he there did and his person when you know Jesus when you've met him when you've encountered him when you put your eyes on him and what he did in the perfect life his prayers become your prayers his life becomes your life his death becomes your death his burial becomes your burial his resurrection becomes your Resurrection his Ascension becomes your Ascension his enthronement becomes your thr why do I know it says we're seated with him in Heavenly places far above all principality and power and might we who are Overcomers are given the privilege of sitting in the Throne of God with him Victorious living over fear sin and Death on the resurrection which is to come is the ultimate annihilation of death it's already resurrection's already taken place for your spirit man but the physical man There Ain't No Grave gonna hold my body down I know the church doesn't talk about this much but listen we need that blessed hope reminded of us soon and very soon we're going to see the king though I may not know the moment when our blessed the Lord shall come to receive us to Mansions over there yet we know it will not be long before he takes his loved ones home and were caught up to meet him in the air caught up to meet him in the air caught up his blessedness to share very soon he will come to take his people home caught up to meet him in the air and will return with him to rule and Reign on this Earth for a thousand years am I don't want to get bogged down I haven't even got to my sermon yet have mercy acts 12 Herod represents a generational principality or a spiritual wickedness in high places meaning people who are in places of political Authority this spirit that IM that that motivated and controlled Herod lived on in fact there's more than one Herod there's Herod the Great there is Herod Antipas I think there were three or four of them all together but you know there was the Herod at the time of Jesus birth who put forth a command for all the Hebrew boys to an under to be put to death there was the Herod that came out and heard John the Baptist preach remember that was another Herod and ultimately that Herod had John the Baptist The Voice the one crying in the wilderness the Forerunner he had his head put on a platter at the request of his stepdaughter then there's another Herod by the time we get to Acts chapter 12 the point that I'm making is Same Spirit in a high political office different face different personality you know it's bizarre isn't it how this the political machine can switch out faces and names but it's the same spirit I don't want to get bogged down let me keep moving the spiritual wickedness in high places that persecutes wages war against the Church of Jesus Christ it worked and functioned in all of the herods in the New Testament you know what it's called the Antichrist Spirit vexed the vexation of Herod Herod was the first century embodiment of the Antichrist Spirit but that Spirit lives on in modern political leaders this spirit this Antichrist spirit is a force in the spiritual World think about how this Antichrist Spirit worked in the New Testament he wanted to destroy the Christ child all the Hebrew boys to and under he wanted to kill him snuff him out before Christ could mature and reach his full potential the Christ that would open blind eyes and heal deaf ears and cleanse the leper and raise the Dead the Antichrist spirit always wants to Snuff out early purposes of God and people of God that are birthed in the earth to bring about God's purposes he wants to kill them before they can fully mature before they ever heal blindness or heal deafness or or cleanse the leper he wants to take them out in their infancy stage is anybody hearing what I'm saying for instance I already said that sorry Herod can stop the Christ child if he if he tries if he can successfully stop the Christ child in its infancy stage he can prevent him from coming to full maturity and purpose which was ultimately pay the sin debt and resurrect and birth a church he wants the Antichrist spirit that wages war against the church wants to stop the promises of God in their infancy stage before they reach the potential of opening blind eyes or saving the world or healing deaf ears hear me today we must be on guard and take tender care of the little innocent New Beginnings that have been birthed in our midst and been birthed in our lives and been birthed deep in our spirit because if through circumstances and situations and oppression and vexation Herod can ultimately kill what's been birthed of God in the earth before it reaches its full potential then the whole world suffers do not despise the day of Small Beginnings saw somebody sent this thing to me the other day it said uh it was talking about um popularity and mercy are like oil and water popularity and mercy are like oil and water so don't despise your season of being hidden there's a lot of Truth to that so so we must not give up the birthing of what God has birth in our midst we can't let it over into the keeping of Herod no we must nurture it and care for it how do we do that be transformed by the renewing of your mind if there's anybody here today you want real transformation that's the trans movement we're a part of be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [Applause] renew the mind and the body will follow its lead because if allowed full rain Herod that Antichrist Spirit whoever it's working through will not only kill out the Christ child and its infancy but it will also take out the John the Baptists those individuals those Ministries those personalities who the voice crying and the Wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord the Antichrist Spirit wants that voice that's preaching repentance and is introducing Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world that Ministry of change that Ministry of repentance the Antichrist spirit will always come against those who walk in a forerunner anointing who preach the message of repentance change your heart change your mind see the world differently see through the lens of scripture Antichrist spirit's always after those who are preparing the way for the kingdom of God he killed John the Baptist which represents the ministry of repentance and the Forerunner anointing the spirit of Herod is coming after the Forerunner anointing just like it's coming after the Christ anointing those who are preparing the way for the kingdom of God to come in its fullness so if you're feeling vexed by Herod today like the church did in Acts chapter 12 don't be discouraged you might be on the right track in Acts chapter 12 Peter had been arrested they had just watched the Antichrist Spirit through Herod a different Herod but Same Spirit kill the Apostle James the pastor of the church at Jerusalem I mean talk about the original Church this that was the first Pentecostal Church of Jerusalem Pastor James literally Pastor James was the pastor of the Jerusalem Church and guess what time it is Passover you know why the Antichrist Spirit through Herod had James killed and had Peter arrested around Passover time because every year the Christians were celebrating the death barrel and resurrection of Christ at Passover he was the true Passover Lamb all of those types and shadows of those animals that were offered in those and those um feast days and all those uh offerings were all pointing to Christ and would be fulfilled in what he did at the cross so think about it now and I want you to listen to me more carefully than you've ever heard me ever before they had just watched the Antichrist Spirit through Herod kill the Apostle James it left the church in a State of Shock hopelessness because they had lost important leadership they knocked off James and now they're about to do the same thing to Simon Peter someday you might listen back on this and this might resonate with you it's clear that it was at the time of the Passover which was the annual remembrance of Jesus's death burial and Resurrection so how would the Antichrist Spirit Vex the church and really stick it to them and mock them well by killing their pastor and the chief Apostle at the time of their celebration of Jesus's death barel and Resurrection ction Pastor James and the Apostle Peter the one who preached on the day of Pentecost Peter the one whom Jesus gave the Keys of the Kingdom to and now Simon Peter is locked up notice it says he was locked up in the inner sanctum the inner prison the very innermost jail cell there he is trapped chained to Four soldiers there's this number four again four squads of Four soldiers that would take routine I mean they would do a shift then they would leave and four more come in they do shift then they' leave then four more and a chain here a chain here a chain here and a chain here chain to Four soldiers keeping him locked up realizing certain death now I don't know what kind of State of Mind Peter was in but I can only imagine he was feeling what maybe you have felt after a bad set of circumstances that you had no control over a bad set of circumstances here he is sitting there in the darkness in the inner prison anybody ever felt inner imprisonment prison of your thoughts prison of of your mind prisoner of fear prisoner of uncertainty prison of circumstances a prisoner of your own thoughts self imprisoned with four chains and Four soldiers now any other time in this kind of situation he's probably sitting there thinking help at certain death I know what they did to my good friend Pastor James and now look what they're about to do to me I'm next I'm next but he remembered something he remembered something now we don't know his state of mind but could it be possible that Simon Peter remembered the words of Jesus in John chapter 21 right before his Ascension when he asked Jesus what about John and remember that's when Jesus said what is it to you if he should live till I come because Jesus had told him these words words Peter when you are old another will come and GD you and take you in a place you don't want to go and it says this spoke of the type of death that Simon Peter would experience and history tells us he was crucified upside down and he chose that When They Crucified him he said I'm not worthy to be crucified upright like my Lord most of us will be be discouraged and maybe Peter was I don't know but I just wonder if maybe he reached in and clung back to an old promise that God gave him years prior when you are old another shall G you and take you in other words he's saying well I'm just going to get a good night's sleep I'm not old yet I know what the doctor's report says I know what the situation looks like I know what it looks like that I'm up I'm done I'm next right right they killed James now they're after me that's it it's over it's hopeless but no he knew the words of Jesus and if you have promises of God spoken over your life I don't care what it may seem like what the doctor's report may say you hold on to Jesus's words if you're not old and Jesus told you you wouldn't die to you're old get some sleep even if you're chained to Four soldiers [Applause] Hallelujah talk about a bad set of circumstances he lost brother James now he feels that sense of impending doom anybody ever felt the darkness before like a sense of impending doom we really don't know at that point if he had surrendered I'm just speculating if he had remembered Jesus's words we don't know but he was sitting there in the inner prison in the darkness chained up we don't know if he had surrendered or succumbed to the situation and just accepted the fact I'm a goner it's good while it lasted or if he maybe was just at rest I don't know what we do know is he was trapped in an inner dungeon chained up with no support around him all alone and suddenly a light Shone in that inner sanctum and smoke him on the side talk about divine intervention is anybody hearing me right now God has a way of intervening when lawfare is used against God's anointed and God called people and God purposed people when their time is not up yet lawfare may be used against them but if God has a purpose on your life you may turn your head just at the right [Applause] moment because God's got something more for you to do he's not done with you yet he has a purpose on your life you might just turn your head at just the right moment to look at an immigration chart I believe those chains fell off and the Bible said they did because he obeyed the angel the angel smoted him on the side remember and he stood up and because he responded instead of just laying there in defeat and discouragement the gate opened for him to be released from that inner prison and somehow the other four soldiers didn't know it what what do you think would have happened if the if that angel would have smote him on the side and he' just huh might have slap him upside the head instead of the side I don't know I think sometimes God needs to slap all of us upside the head from time to time now remember it came to pass that the first gate then the second gate and by the time we get to the third gate the Bible said it was the third gate or the iron gate opened of its own accord meaning that the door opened up for him naturally to have influence in the city influence in the culture and not be trapped in an inner dungeon chained up in Despair and darkness and loneliness when he got to that iron gate to the city if you look it up in the Greek when you read acts 12 it literally means when he got past that first and second gate he got to the third gate the Iron Gate the iron's the toughest gate of all it's made of something more than metal it's iron and he didn't have to pry it open he didn't have to kick it open he didn't have to try to get the key for it the Bible says it it opened of its own accord access to his Harvest field access to the city access to the culture influence opened up to him but you will never get to gate three where the doors open up for you at the right time at the right place with the right people until you successfully get free of gate one and gate two first in other words before God gives you the keys to your city find your field find your Harvest right before God gives you the keys to your city and gives you ability to have access to the culture and to bring change and see a Reformation in your city your county see a Revival in your city or your county or your church or your family you got to first pass through the first two gates gate one gate two the first gate represents the vexation of Herod the first gate represents bondage in the inner sanctum of our being bondage in your innermost being I think we've all f into situations and circumstances just like Simon Peter they're out of our control we can't get out of it ourselves and he surely couldn't get out of that prison chained up to Four soldiers out he couldn't have got out of it himself but you know what here's what I love about it if you can't get out get God in that's worth an amen if you can't get out get God in amen you know it's interesting isn't it we tell ourselves it's okay we get used to the prison cell we live in deep Darkness on the inside in the inner sanctum in the inner prison filled with anxiety fear frustration angst Misery we get locked away in our own little cubby holes our own prisons and it doesn't matter so much how we got there what matters is is that we cannot get out of it by ourselves it takes divine intervention it takes angelic visitation because we can get trapped in our inner cells of hopelessness and despair and this constant feeling of Torment within our inner sanctum surrounded by Four soldiers and four chains and as I said the number four repeats itself many times in these verses Four soldiers four squads of soldiers four Gates or doors to pass through to Total fulfillment total freedom so that you can get to the place after the for Gates that you're used by God to fulfill your purpose and to be a living testimony of the power and the freedom that the Holy Ghost can bring but that inner sanctum that first gate getting liberated from your own personal imprisonment place of Torment frustration where you feel chained alone rejected in darkness and despair but if you're still breathing There's Hope for divine intervention for God to step in and deliver you of all of those weights and sins which do so easily beset you some things are weights and some things are sins lay aside every weight and every sin which does so easily beset us beset us and get this there's nothing worse than for Spirit-filled Believers to be locked and chained up on the inside where you can't praise you can't seem to get free you feel bound and locked up internally it seems like you can't get free it's like it's your own inner prison and those Four soldiers and those four chains represent four types of demonic powers that I think all believers whether individually or corporately will contend with at some point what are those four types of demonic Powers I'm glad you asked Ephesians 6 and12 says for we wrestle not against flesh and blood in other words our fight's not with each other but here's what we do we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against number one principalities number two Powers Number Three rulers of the darkness of this world number four spiritual wickedness in high places so therefore we put on the full armor of God now listen you can lie there for so long in that inner sanctum prison where you can actually get used to it and almost accept it as a way of life when there's so much more freedom that you can experience as a Believer but until you get past that first gate of personal freedom and until you get Liberation from your own internal personal gel cell you cannot move on beyond your present Church experience yeah maybe you felt times of Glory maybe you felt those Holy Ghost chill bumps for but guess what even Chief Apostles can get stuck in Chains of solitude and imprisonment in the inner sanctum of their being doesn't make you a bad person because there's things you're internally dealing with you can be filled with frustration and you can actually learn to put up with it and just live with it but I want you to set your sides high today to go beyond your present Church experience and today in your Spirit mark this calendar Mark at this date August 25th 2024 I set my sights higher I'm believing at any moment for an angel a light to shine and a light to smack me on the side a divine intervention a holy ghost break in an Angelic break in maybe it's that internal frustration with with addiction finances having trouble in your domestic life a reoccurring problem with a child that you love and you're concerned about the course of their life maybe it's a marriage problem maybe you desperately need God to send an angel where you feel the touch of God on your side to get you out of that inner prison you're living in worrying about it won't fix it they say worry is like rocking in a rocking chair it'll keep you busy but it won't get you anywhere it doesn't take away from the fact that you've had an experience with God just because you're locked up in your soul right now you're bound up in your spirit that doesn't take away from the fact that you've been anointed before and appointed before doesn't mean that you've never experienced the power of God it just means none of us ever get to the place where there are times that we will not still need an Angelic or divine intervention you know for years we've heard people use the analogy the church is supposed to be like a hospital hospitals for sick people and I I agree the church is for whosoever will let him come and I I do believe that but I believe there is a place where not everybody's in the hospital is a patient some are nurses some are caregivers some are doctors there's a place where we can get in god from Faith to Faith from glory to glory come on somebody from one level to the next where we're not just coming to church just to be a kingdom consumer we don't just come to get to get to get no there's that law of reciprocity you said it the law of reciprocity let me just say it this way in any economy even in the world economy but it's true also of God's economy anytime you import more than you export you get an upside down economy because you're receiving more than you're giving I I believe God wants to liberate and help folks up out of spiritual welfare into work working for the kingdom now if you're on welfare I'm not belittling you making fun of you in any way I'm just simply making a point God doesn't want you to stay in the place that you're in he wants you to set your sights higher for a life of true Joy a life of true fulfillment life of true Freedom walking in the power of the Holy Spirit as a living witness and testimony a living epistle R of all men there's a place in God you can get to where you don't just come to church on Sunday to get your spiritual fix or to get your blessing or to get your cup filled up there is a place in God that you can reach or come to where you can give more than you take you become a kingdom exporter you're exporting goods and services in other words where God can export from you goods and services and you give back to the kingdom more than you take it's kind of like what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:26 he said when you all come together he said everyone in the King James it says it this way everyone haath h a everyone hath a psalm everyone hath a prophecy everyone haath a tongue my question is what do you haath today the scripture tells us we're told to enter his gates with Thanksgiving and enter into his courts with praise my question is for you today did you bring it with you or are you waiting on the right song or the right beat to drum it up inside of you the third song in the worship [Music] [Applause] service Hallelujah if you're under the vexation of Herod you don't have to listen you don't have to unload 10 tons of problems to generate 10 ounces of Praise I know that sometimes when you're going through all kinds of difficult stuff and there's disturbing atmospheres and disturbing environments where it's hard to pray anybody ever been in a time or phase or season in your life where you struggled to pray to get in the mode or even the mood to pray and you have to force yourself almost like out of a discipline it's what disciples do we live lives of discipline but where it's hard to pray it's like you your mind wonders and you can't keep your mind let me just tell you if you don't know what to do and you feel like that there's an oppression or a weight or a heaviness on you you know what you ought to do just for 60 seconds lift up your hands it's going to seem weird and people may look at you but just start praising God praise him for 60 seconds solid not complaining not asking him for Stuff praising him and you'll begin to feel that Spirit of heaviness lift off of you I think we're do that right now for just 60 seconds everybody stand to your feet it may not seem natural but neither will it in the situation let's Praise Him from the depths of our being right now all over this house I'm not done yet hallelujah hallelujah glory to God we bless your name we praise you when we feel like it we praise you when we don't we praise you when it comes natural to us we praise you when it feels unnatural [Music] glory to God hallelujah praise the Lord Praise Him anyhow Praise Him anyhow Praise Him anyhow Praise Him anyhow [Applause] yay yes yes yes yes [Music] [Applause] [Music] that's it all right all right we're going to do it again in about five minutes okay sit down I'm going to finish listen to this when you begin to praise you get churning up the river that's inside of your innermost being out of your innermost being will flow rivers of Living Water this he spoke of the spirit that they which believe on him should receive wherever the river goes and whatever the river touches is healed and comes to life some of you've tried to get free and then a prison guard jerks you down on the right side or jerks you down on the left but I want you to set your expectation higher today you don't have to crawl back in that cell again you don't have to return back to a life of the more of the same no God's going to send an angel if you'll believe with me the Holy Spirit going to invade that internal imprisonment that imprisonment of your mind he's going to touch your side and shock you out of complacency and you're going to get up on your own two feet again and chains are going to fall off God wants to turn your captivity give you Beauty for Ashes the oil of joy for mourning the Garment of Praise instead of the Garment of heaveness and guess what you got to be consciously choosing to put on the right garment the Bible said Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil that through the power of his death on the cross he defeated all principalities Powers made an open shame of them and God wants you to get up out of that personal cell of personal imprisonment today not live there or lay there another moment and walk through that door it's your moment don't die vexed at the hand of the Antichrist Spirit God wants to give you victory over that inner cell that you're entrapped in is there anybody here today waiting expecting for an angel to come and move on your [Applause] behalf you know it's interesting once Simon Peter realized this Deliverance was not a delusion of his mind that it was actually real he said something so powerful in verse 11 that if you just read it casually you might Overlook it he said in verse 11 God had set him free from Herod that's the first gate and then he tells you what the second gate was and he set him free from the expectation of the people fear of man all these years in reading that verse I never read it till recently he equated the first gate to personal imprisonment personal vexation he equated the second gate to the quote expectation of the people unquote there's nothing worse than trying to feel like that you got to fit a mold or conform to a pure pressure that you're not called to conform to God loves Originals he's not that much into copycats whether we want to admit it or not one of the greatest forces and powers in the world is the expectation of people that they put on us and watch us and how we look and respond and react and we feel this need to please people to live up to a certain standard or demand that they have of us in their mind let me remind you what people think of you is none of your business you worry about pleasing God and [Applause] and listen that's especially true in a prophetic Community let me tell you why because among us there are a lot of really mature Believers but in a prophetic Community especially for all of the mature Believers you also have just those few that are just spiritually mature enough to be spiritually immature and they think every little thought that passes through their mind is God telling them something about somebody else and sometimes what people think about you or they cast dispersion upon you based on a Feeling or an impression or all this stuff listen if you're really doing a work for God you ain't got time to worry about that stuff got for it if you get a real experience of the fear of God the fear of man will be broken off of you maybe you're sitting there today you're freed from the first gate you've gotten personal deliverance from personal imprisonment but you're saying within yourself if I can just get back up on my own two feet get free of my present prison then I just got to worry about what people are going to say what people are going to think how people are going to react if they're going to criticize me if they're going to like what I do what I say how I said it how I did it it's kind of like I said Jeremiah but it's Ezekiel I believe where he said he he didn't really know how to handle this hard-headed people and that's when God said he was going to set his face like Flint the same thing when Jesus was going to Jerusalem even his closest followers were telling him don't go they're going to crucify you the Bible said that he set his face like a flint to go to Jerusalem because see after you get free on the inside then number two the second gate you've got to get free from the expectations and the demands of people put on you that God hasn't amen see we all as the church the American church this church but the western church we've been asking God give us access to the city to the state to the nation to the courthouse to the State House get let the Iron Gate open for us of its own accord so that we can gain access into the City and I truly believe God is speaking to the church wanting for that third gate to open of its own accord the Iron Gate the toughest of them all and that's where you gain access to influence the Seven Mountains that's where you gain access and you identify your field and therefore identify your Harvest that's where God gives you influence with influencers and influence as a Soul winner he that wins Souls is wise the scripture says how many of you want to be a soul winner a disciplemaker then if you do then the first step is get free from the personal imprisonment then the second step is stop worrying so much about what people think say about you because if you you'll never be who you truly are and as long as you're trying to conform to the demands that other people have you cuz here's what you'll find I hate to tell you this and break the news to you you probably figured it out if you're a little uh if you're my age or older some people don't really not everybody that says they love you love you they love the idea of you or the idea of having you in their life or what you can do for them or how you can help them but what they're saying I love you is they love the idea of you but when you can no longer do anything for them has anybody lived a little I don't think that's predominant in this church at all I'm just simply saying you can't worry about what people think because that getting free of the fear of man is the last door you break through till finally God opens the gate of the city of its own accord to you it will naturally happen and you'll become an influencer and a discipl maker and you will be given a platform of influence the Gate of the city will open of its own accord for you when you get past the first and second gate I'm so convinced if the church can get victory in our personal lives and get victory over what people think of us God's going to release this last day's Harvest and the gate the Iron Gate that may seem closed to us before we've tried to kick it open pry it open bust it open as much as we tried we feel sterile in our spiritual attempts to win to disciple to make n to to make disciples of all Nations to get people established in the church but the truth is is those first two gates personal imprisonment which is the vexation of the Antichrist spirit and getting free of the expectation of the people you'll come to that third gate and it will open of its own accord without anything of your doing but you can't get to gate three until you get through gate one and two it took Divine assistance and Angelic intervention to get that personal freedom and deliverance from the people I'm telling you what your purpose and calling is it will now naturally happen for you you may feel frustrated you may feel like no doors are opening you may feel like people are suppressing your voice or holding you back when the truth is God is saying I'll set before you a door that no man can shut nor open and I'm the door opener I'll make it open of its of its own accord but you got to successfully get past gate one and gate two to gain access to this City once you get past the Vex vexation of Herod and delivered from the expectation of the people once you get past personal imprisonment and peer pressure and fear of man then the door will open to you to the city but then the door has to open to you for the church because Simon Peter came to that fourth door which was the door of the church filled with prayer warriors praying for his release God had no problem getting him out of an inner prison God had no problem freeing him from the thoughts and ideas and influence and expectation of people it was nothing for God to open up the Iron Gate into the city for him to have influence in the culture but you know what the only only door listen carefully the only door that didn't naturally open for him and the only door he had to stand and knock at the one door God didn't open for him himself or an angel didn't open for him or whatever was only the door that the church could open to him we have got got to believe that the things we're praying and believing and asking God for when the answer comes knocking we can't be in denial and it just explain it away as some natural occurrence maybe you're sitting in jail one today the inner prison self-pity self-imprisonment locked up in your soul and you can't get free free to praise God free to work worship God maybe the expectation of the people has crippled you or held you back maybe now you're finally you got a platform you've written a book you're preaching to crowds you're doing Deliverance Ministry Healing Ministry prophetic Ministry your vocation has become your calling you've brought your calling into your vocation but sometimes the hardest gate of all the hardest door of of all the hardest door is that that's Shut by a hard Church a church that sees their prayers literally come knocking on the door and that it's easier for them to believe it's an angel than it is the thing they're praying for the final gate is when God sends us people we've been praying for when God sends us the people that have been set free from the chains of past imprisonment and God has met them God has encountered them an angel has encountered them and we can't leave them standing on the doorstep of the church with the door closed to their face we cannot leave those on the doorstep whom God has delivered standing out in the cold with no comfort and care no I speak over you in the name of the Lord that you will be delivered from personal ineptness and be set free from those sins and weight which so easily beset you and that God will grant his church divine favor with God and man and that each and every person here will have their own personal Revival and come out of that first and second gate delivered from personal vexation personal imprisonment delivered from the expectation or thoughts are trying to please people so that God can grant you access into the City and into the culture and that we can be a church that opens the door to answered prayers because whom the son has made made free is free indeed God has restored and delivered those prodal who will come standing at the church's doorstep and we got to be ready for him to open the door God set him free God got him out they're Apostles they're prophets we've got to see the potential in them not just the problems with them Hallelujah but the praying church has to believe that the souls we've been praying for will find us and we have to open that door to them because even Jesus in Revelation 3 the Church of leoda stood on the outside knocking on the door trying to get in one door that Jesus won't Force open for you and that's for the church to open the door to people that God has sent them now we're going to try what we tried 10 minutes ago one more time everybody stand all over this room what we're going to do is unconventional listen you don't need me to give you any prophetic words today your Faith's already lifted I can feel it you don't you don't need it what you know what you we need to do for about five minutes we just need to let the lid pop let the champagne bottle you say I don't feel it Pastor I don't feel it don't go by feelings go by faith break free from that Spirit of heaviness that peer pressure fear of man God wants to take you through the four doors or four Gates into freedom and fullness but right now right where you are in your own unique way let's begin to praise him get our minds off of everything else and everybody and for five solid minutes let's press through whatever way whether it's lifting your voice whether it's praying in tongues whether it's praying in the spirit whatever whether it's weeping family and ask Lord that your peace and the presence of your Holy Spirit would be with them we lift up Chris and Missy the whole Reed family and ask Lord holy spirit that you would be a hedge around
