David Bednar on preserving a come-from-behind win over the Reds

uh good to get another win and uh you know uh great game good comeback win with the boys and uh you know just keep on moving on tomorrow see especially a one run there I you guys have lost in a bunch of days R so how good is it just to just to be in a tight game the come back for one but then be a tight game some yeah know absolutely you always want to win and come on top of those ones and I was good to seal a deal today what kind of your approach against Ellie there obviously just not thing on the baseball field he can't do yeah no I mean just make good pitches and uh you know just first pitch hacking and uh you know Billy made a great play so uh you know that'ss off to him out there so uh yeah I just go ahead and attack him how tough was that about with IND fights on that yeah no absolutely um just not giving in on either end and good ab and uh you know he won that one but you know was able to uh survive and move on the next guy kind of going through your mind as the ball's heading out to left and Billy makes that slide to make the catch no man that was that was awesome a play and uh what what to play to steal the game they uh shelter was just saying that you've got really good stuff and that's why they' have so much faith in you even when you've had your struggles how much of it doesn't matter if you having faith in yourself or trusting and stuff yeah know absolutely um you know obviously there's been some rough patches but uh you know I I still have complete confidence in my in myself and in my stuff and uh every single time I go out there so it just it's just a matter of just keep on going keeping their foot on the gas and uh you know it's a long season a lot of stuff can happen and uh you know always move on to the next one so just keep your foot on the gas how much do you know maybe struggles and tough times kind of motivate you even more to just go out there and and even bring even more intensity in the ninth inning especially in a game like this yeah no absolutely absolutely I think uh you know it's huge to learn from your mistakes and uh learn from you know what what you got beat on in the past and you know as long as you learn from it it's it's all you can spin it to a positive and uh obviously you know it sucks nobody wants to go through it but you know uh you know in the long run I think I'll be better off and you know able to make those adjustments and come out on top and you know win some big games for us what do you feel like You' Lear most about yourself during your struggles uh just sticking with sticking with my you know sticking with the confidence in myself and just keep on going back out there because like uh you know I I do trust my stuff a lot and you know more times than not I'm going to have success and just competing and staying in the zone and you know when I do that good things happen
