Houston Astros Beat The Royals Jason Hayward Hits 2 RBI Double Astros Postgame!!

yo what's going on guys this is Houston Sports Talk Back another video today and today the Houston Astros beat the Kansas City Royals 6 to3 to start off this 4 game series great win for the Astros we're going to go over everything from this game want to start off by saying with this win for the Astros the Astros now have a four game lead on the Seattle Mariners Mariners did not play today they had Thursday off like a lot of teams did today and so having Thursday off they open up a series in Los Angeles tomorrow against the angels and I hear a lot of people saying you'll see you know you'll see oh they they have an easy way in the next couple series facing the angels in the Athletics which you know look those are those are teams that definitely are not that great but the thing with this Angel series coming up for the Mariners is that the angels have killed them recently the angels have beat the Mariners six straight games a couple months ago or about a month ago um maybe a little bit over a month ago two straight sweeps in like two week for the Los Angeles Angels going up against these Mariners um now I will say the Mariners did win the first five matchups against the Angels so the Mariners are five and six this year going up against them so it will be interesting to see you know how this last series between the angels and the you know how the Angels it will be interesting to see how this last series between the angels and the Mariners goes but um the Mariners haven't always played that great against the Angels this here so I don't think that's a easy series for them just because the fact that they have had struggles against them recently losing their last six to the angels but uh Astros win this game six to3 um eight hits for the Astros four for the Royals the pitching was great in this game hunter Brown um he only gave up two hits and six and two3 the other two hits went to you know Brian Abu giving up uh a a run in the giving up a run in that you know in that eighth inning sorry sorry in the seventh inning um which one of them wasn't an earned run and so um yeah so uh pitching was good only gave four hits between branu and Hunter Brown Presley and uh hater didn't give up any damage at all and uh this was a good game for the Astros all right so two errors for both teams two errors for the Astros two errors for the Royals Jason Hayward in his first at batle as an astro scor here's a scoring summary first at bat as an or sorry second at bat as an astro ARB double TR Jeremy pñ scored Singleton scored two RBI for Jason Hayward in his second b as an astro I think the thing the interesting thing to say about Jason Hayward is is um he's wearing he was wearing number 22 tonight uh in his first game as a Houston Astro and um that's the number he's worn for most of his career out outside of the last two years with the Los Angeles Dodgers that's the that's the with the Dodgers the last couple years is the only time he's hasn't won where he hasn't worn 22 and um so he wore 23 with the Dodgers uh he could wear 22 because of course Clayton Kershaw wears number 22 uh but wearing 22 tonight first Houston as to wear the number 22 uh jersey number since Josh reck uh definitely looks weird having that you number 22 jersey number uh you know not being Josh reick but um as Josh reck's been working with the Astros broadcast team this year um you know we we've been seeing Josh rck a little bit more as Astros fans but um definitely is weird to see that you know number 22 number being used again but uh if Jason hayward's going to help the team like he did tonight I'm fine with it um but two errors for both teams that those are mistakes you got to fix when goes to Ryan Presley Ryan was back in Action tonight back from the I he was reinstated today and he gets his first win of the Season he's one and three on the year now he pitched the eighth inning he got a strike out didn't give up a hit a run or a walk L goes to ur EG uh he's two and five on the year now he pitched a win one he PCH he pitched one third of an inning which was in the eighth inning he gave it two hits three runs three earned runs zero strikeouts when walk save goes to Josh haer his 29th save of the year now he pitched in the ninth inning he had a strikeout didn't give a hit or a walk uh scoring summary Jason Hayward got the Astros on the board with the two RBI double to right paa and Singleton scored it's two to zero then is is Bell with the seventh inning double to left D young scored Garcia and Mendez scored but I think those last two runs were I believe those last two runs scored off of an eror it doesn't say but if you look at the astr pitching it only says one earned run Hunter Brown did it says no earned runs for Hunter Brown in six and 2/3 Brian Abu got a uh got one earned run uh in the in the in the in the sth no runs given up by Presley or or uh hater so uh those had to be those last two runs had to score off an erir it just doesn't say it um I I I actually didn't I I watched the I watched the uh like the the some clips from tonight's game but um I tonight I'm at my tonight I'm at my grandparent house so uh they have YouTube TV it's so stupid you can't watch the Astros game on YouTube TV um so I didn't watch this actually watch this game but I would see when the Astros would score you know seeing Astros social media post so I don't I don't know exactly what happened there uh but I do know what happened in the next scoring play When the Astros tied the game in the eighth inning janard Diaz reached on infield single to pitcher altu scored on throwing era by pitcher EG threw it went wide um and Y Diaz was able to get to second base kartini safe at third base three to three after that after Diaz is that bat the Astros were able to get um Ben gaml uh who was actually intentionally walked uh he was intentionally walked and then uh Jeremy peny grounded into a feeler choice they they threw kartini out at home but the bases were loaded and Zach Den zenzo had a pinch hit appearance for John single 10 and he had an RBI walk that gave the Astros the lead 4 to3 and this is when the Astros uh had the Astros had already replaced Mercy duban with Jason Hayward so they bring in duban he' already had an that bat before and dubon struck out swinging in the seventh inning but in his second at bat in that eighth inning single to left gaml and Pena score duban is safe at second disenzo safe at third on Fielding error by leftfielder Melendez and the Astros Take the Lead 6 to3 let's go to the Astros individual batters Altuve went 0 for three scoring one run and uh he walked in the eighth inning Jordan Alvarez went two for four today he had two singles to Center the first inning and to right in the sixth inning good to see him hdden well at home after his game yesterday with four hits three home runs bregman was over two in this game uh and um you know he he grounded out to third Alvarez thei in the first inning struck out looking in the fourth and then we saw uh bregman leave the game um and Jay witcom would have that bad in the sixth inning ground out to third Alvarez uh to Second so he did the same thing bregy did kartini would end up coming in for um would end up coming in for sha whitcom he had a single to Center um in the eighth inning that got altua to second he would also play first B face tonight for the Astros yanner Diaz went one for four today for the Astros with an infield single to pitcher um and scored a run Ben gam went 0 for three he was intentionally walked in the eighth inning and scored a run for the Astros uh but yesterday for the Astros he went three for five Jeremy Pino went one for three after being the only Astro that did not have a hit yesterday the seventh inning he walked and then he had an infield single in the fifth inning for the Astros and John Singleton went one for two today he struck out looking in the second double to third um in the fifth Pena to third Den zenzo would replace him he had two at bats seventh inning he struck out swinging eighth inning he had an RBI walk Jason Hayward went one for two in his first two at bats and as gr out to pitch in the third RBI double to right down the right field line um that scored pinan Singleton in the fifth inning then the E hitter role whether was was Jason Hayward or duban was a key part of this game for the US and Astros because Jason Hayward went one for two for the stros had two RBIs then duban who replaced Hayward went one for two with two RBIs so the two the two guys that were sitting there at the E hitter tonight for the Astros Hayward and duban had four of the six uh or sorry four of the five RBI um due to because because one one of the runs came from an error so four of the five RB came from Hayward and duban who were the eight hitters in this game um Hayward the original eight hitter and duban who came in as a as a pinch hitter for Hayward uh and Jake Meers did go 0 for for today with a couple strikeouts um Hunter Brown went six and two3 get two hits two walks only had four strikeouts look it's not great for Hunter he's been getting a bunch of strikeouts lately but this is the Royals offense who does not strike out a lot uh Brian Abu pitch the last out of the seventh inning but there was some trouble he gave it two hits one run one strike out Presley would pitch the eighth inning he gets his first win of the Season he gets a strike out doesn't give a hit a run or a walk and then we saw the same thing from hater one strike out as well didn't give up a hit a run or a walk so they asked to get the win six to three it wasn't a pretty game but uh it was a win so we'll take a win and it's back-to-back wins for the Houston Astros let me your thoughts on the Astros
