Lily Allen faces backlash from #PETA after cliam dog ate their passports

Lily Allen responds to backlash after returning adopted dog who ate her passport Lily Allen is in the dogghouse with paa after a recent Revelation but she's firing back the smile singer 39 face backlash on social media after revealing on the Miss Me podcast that she returned the dog she adopted because it ate her passport and so I took her back to the home she had all three of our passports and they had our visas in it she explained I cannot tell you how much money it cost me to get everything replaced because it was in covid so it was just an absolute logistical nightmare because the father of my children lives in England I couldn't get them back to see their dad for like 4 months 5 mon months because this it's a expensive word she use dog had eaten the passports Allan who is married to David Arbor and sheares two kids with ex-husband Sam Cooper continued that she could not look at her dog Mary again after this incident I was like you've ruined my life she said wow that's oh okay Alan clarified that this was the only reason she returned the dog like I said there had to be more to it though saying that the pet was very badly behave and she really tried very hard with her but it just didn't work out and the passport was the straw that broke the camel's back Alan also revealed that she may be getting a new puppy soon okay let's see if she says anything else on why the dog well she said it was badly behaved so I'm guessing that's one of the reasons too so okay but the singer received criticism after her quote went viral with one ex-user writing that Allan's own stupidity was to blame given she left passport in a place that the dog could get to them Peta UK also wrote a letter to Alan and said it would send her a mechanical dog toy because this is the only animal animal she should bring into her home that's funny while you could get new passports and rebook your flights Mary may spend many months in the shelter waiting for a new family if she's lucky enough to find one at all PA UK vice president Elisa Allen wrote to the singer oh there no there have no relation she is Alisa Allen and the singer is Lily Allen but no no um no um relations they should never be treated as accessories to be discarded when they become inconvenient in a lengthy statement shared on X and Instagram Alan responded to the backlash by arguing her quotes had been deliberately distorted by the media and said she had received had messages including death threats she went on to stress that she loved Mary very much but that the pet developed pretty severe separation anxiety and would act out in all manner of ways he couldn't be left alone for more than 10 minutes she had three long walks a day two by us and one with a local dog worker and several of the dogs we worked with the shelter That We rescued her from and they referred us to a behavioral specialist and a professional train trainer it was a it was a volunteer from the shelter who would come and dogit when we went away after many months and much deliberation everyone was in agreement that our home wasn't the best fit for Mary Allan wrote the Grammy nominee said Mary was rehomed with a person known to her within 24 hours of being returned I've had rescued dogs pretty constantly throughout my life since I was four years old I'm pretty good at ascertaining a dog needs I never have been accused of mistreating an animal and I found this whole week very distressing Alan said P did not appear Satisfied by this response replying to Alan and ex that she laughed on the podcast when speaking about abandoning Mary and ruined this poor dog's life adding shame on you you don't even deserve a toy dog we sent Allan shot back that people laugh when they talk about painful things all the time and slammed Peter for perpetrating perpetrating lies with its dangerous post Allan introduced fans to Mary in 2021 in Instagram post telling followers at the time that they would be seeing lots more of her the singer previously made headlines early this year when sharing in a radio times podcast episode that her children ruined her career I remember that I love them and they complete me but in terms of Pop stardom totally ruined it she said it really annoys me when people say you can have it all because quite frankly you can't I CH I chose stepping back and Concentra on them and I'm glad that I have done that because I think they're pretty well-rounded people that's that's something hard harsh to say that your kids ruined your career which she's a pop star um that goes to show people in Hollywood they might brag bore show expensive stuff but maybe they're not they don't have the money cuz for her to say that they ruined her career I'm sure if she had the money she could have paid a babysitter to go on tour with her she could um have her mom or ask anyone she's close with to travel with her so she can continue working now after she had the baby usually you'll get what about um eight weeks off so two months off so within that two months at least she would have bonding time with each of her kids and then after that again as I said she can get assistance by hiring a nanny or if she has family members who want to work for her in that sense to go with her and that should have not kept her out of the studio you know she could still work because that's what mer Merkin that's what working Mom do you know that's what they do regular people when they get off maternity leave before going on leave they have to figure out okay I'm going back to work who am I going to leave my precious child with and that's how you work it out so for her to say the kids ruined her career it's kind of stretch that she's making so yes as with the dog she had the dog for a while it sounds like but then she said that the dog was placed with another family or another person within days of being returned to the shelter so um I'm not quite sure why P would be upset to know that yes not everyone is capable of taking care of things situation even though she said that from the age of four she was um helping with rescue dogs so she does have some experience in that sense but sometimes you know you just not mesh you do not mesh with everything that you that you stand with basically so she had this dog for a couple of months it was not only the dog eating at her passport and Visa but also she said the dog was not behaving um behaving nicely then the dog was um dangerous or vicious or something like that and to her credit she said that she did get csing for the dog she did get a trainer for the dog and it just did not work out guys so for PA to come down on her like that I don't think it was warranted what are your thoughts I don't think it was because she did try unless she was lying she said that she got counseling for the dog or therapy for the dog no not therapy cuz the dog was not sick but she got um a trainer for the dog and a something else another professional oh yes it says a behavioral um specialist and a professional trainer so she did go to step and get the dogs um professional help but it just did not work out guys and you know for PA to Blaster like that on social media even though she was responsible in the sense that she did seek professional help it just did not help with that dog
