How the Prosecution Argued Oscar Pistorius Planned the Murder by Putting on His Prosthetic Legs

it was the story of a man who overcame incredible disability and then met a beautiful woman but everything changed in a moment of tragedy on February 14 2013 Oscar Pistoria shot his girlfriend Reva steam camp in his home in South Africa it was late at night when Oscar a double ampute Olympic Athlete thought he heard an intruder in the house he quickly grabbed his pistol and put on his prosthetic legs he walked toward the locked bathroom and fired four shots through the door believing he was protecting himself but inside the bathroom was not an intruder but his girlfriend Reva was inside the bathroom Oscar realized his mistake only after he called out to her thinking she was in bed in a panic he broke down the bathroom door with a cricket bat and carried her downstairs but she died in his arms the next day he was charged with murder he claimed the shooting was an accident insisting he thought a burglar was in his home but the prosecution argued that Oscar had planned the murder because he took time to put on his prosthetic legs before the shooting however Oscar testified that he was on his stumps initially not guilty of murder he was later sentenced to 15 years for the risk of his shot his girlfriend's parents were upset because of his lenient sentence but he has now been released after serving half his sentence
