Jordan Mason, 2020 EDPL Outstanding Graduate Student

hi my name is Jordan Mason and in a few short weeks I will be a graduate of the College of Education student affairs and higher education program when I learned that I had been selected as the recipient of this award I was incredibly overcome with emotion since joining the Marquette community in 2018 and the Milwaukee community for years prior I have fallen in love with the goodness of people in this city we are community of lovers thinkers doers and believers I'm eternally grateful to be recognized as one of those people and I'm even more flattered to be selected amongst my extraordinary and bright peers I'm grateful to my parents brothers partner family and friends who believed in me but most importantly I want to give an enormous note of gratitude to a few in particular dr. Jody Jessup anger father and Ethan Kelly Hofstede Tina McNamara who was the economic and dr. Terry brand they welcomed me into the College of Education family with open arms and helped me see the potential within myself that I didn't even know was there I will forever be touched by each of them their kindness grace empathy and faith in me they represent the kind of educator that I want to be thank you to Marquette University and the College of Education for showing me how I can be the difference
