all right so what time is the Presidential debate well I'm going to give you all the details here in this video as to when it starts what you need to know what's going to be coming and what to look out for I'm going to give you all the latest information on that for those of you that are wanting to see the debates tomorrow and let me know who do you think is going to take it tomorrow is it going to be Donald Trump if so put a 45 in comments if you think it's going to be kamla Harris put a 47 we're going to be seeing tomorrow September the 10th it is the first of the debates and like I said go ahead and get you the information you guys okay so this article coming out from NPR says that Harris and Trump debate in Philadelphia tomorrow night here's what you need to know vice president Harris will face off against former president Donald Trump Tuesday tomorrow for the first time since becoming the Democratic nominee the playing field is different than it has uh been for the past two months when Biden uh's dismissal debate performance spurred a wave of concern over his ability to defeat Trump the Republican nominee now since then a lot has happened Trump survived an assassination attempt he accepted the GOP Presidential nomination Biden dropped out of the race and Harris then took over and clinched the Democratic party's nomination Harris has since made up ground uh made up the ground that Biden had lost in swing state polls and now stands virtually tied with Trump according to this NPR article despite a Groundswell of support and reportedly record-breaking fundraising amounts her campaign's honeymoon phase is likely to be coming to an end especially as Trump and Republicans look to ramp up attacks now here's what you need to know about this second debate of the 2024 presidential election cycle so here's some of the details for you first when and how to watch um the event will Air at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time for 90 minutes from the national Constitution uh Constitution Center in Philadelphia ABC news anchor David mure and Lindsey Davis are slated to moderate the debate which will be broadcast by the network and streamed on ABC News live analysis factchecking and color listen to NPR's special coverage of the ABC News presidential debate now what are the rules of the debate the debate rules Echo those agreed on for the June matchup that means that microphones will once again be muted unless a candidate is speaking something that the Harris team has asked to change for this debate but it sounds like that that same rule is going to be still in place it's a rule ini ially posed by the Biden campaign ahead of the first debate and was largely seen as a potential shakeup to Trump's typical debate style instead it ended up benefiting the former president who has a historical uh who has a history of interrupting in these settings to the point uh of his campaign's detriment instead the technical change helped Trump appear more controlled so they said uh we don't want the mics on all the time because we don't want Trump to interrupt and as a result of that it actually ended up helping Trump they said it made him look more presidential and Biden was able just to be on his own and failed to instill confidence in the people of America with his responses during those debates now Harris's campaign told ABC that Harris would be uh disadvantaged by the muted microphones because it would Shield Trump from direct exchanges but said that it would agree to the terms lest Trump drop out of the debate altogether so they're going to be maintaining that rule there was a controversial rule there for a little bit a campaign official speaking on conditions of anonymity to describe private negotiations said that a pool would be on hand to hear what the candidates are saying into muted microphones and that if there is a significant cross talk the network May unmute both microphones the moderator will warn candidates to stop frequent interruptions the officials have said our understanding of these things helped inform our decision to accept muted microphones the official said there will be no audience and candidates will not be permitted to question each other directly in addition neither will be allowed to bring pre-written notes or props onto the debate stage which was one of the things that we had heard that kamla Harris wanted to do was have the ability to have notes on hand and they're saying no notes are going to be available she also wanted to unmute microphones they said nope we're not going to be muting microphones we're going to go ahead and just have it the way that it was during the Biden campaign so there will be no audience as well and there will be no props available uh during the debate on the stage now here is what to watch for Harris has mostly campaigned from the trail in her brief time as a PR presidential cont Contender excluding a single sitdown interview uh with CNN at the end of August so she has uh not really had any interviews except for that one from CNN which you guys saw was with Waltz and a lot of people said that it was not a good interview they were expecting an hourlong interview I think it came out to like 18 20 minutes total of content the vast majority the interview they said was not aired and a lot of people said it didn't really feel like it gave them confidence or a clear picture of her policies let me know your thoughts do you agree with that if you think so put a one if you think no put a two so if you think that um hey that interview on CNN with kamla Harris was not great put a one now if you thought it was and it kind of gave you a better idea of her policies and where she stands with things put a two I'd be curious to see and also do me a favor while you're putting in those ones and twos take a quick second hit that like button for me just helps spread this out further if you appreciate the updates now she has also struggled in the past with unscripted moments as vice president which will put the spotlight on her ability to perform in the debate while also laying out some of her platform and going on the offensive against Trump now Harris has been putting an emphasis on protecting Reproductive Rights while campaigning and she's likely to address it Tuesday night tomorrow night leading up to the debate the Harris Waltz campaign launched its fighting for Reproductive Freedom bus tour pledging to make 50 stops in key states around the issue of abortion IVF and Reproductive Rights Trump's stance on the issue has been a little bit muddy he's made comments on abortion that appear to clash with some of his past views and statements while President recently he acknowledged that Florida's six-week ban was too restrictive then clarified shortly after that he would not support the state's upcoming ballot measure that if passed would Safeguard access to abortion up until fetal uh viability Trump is likely to link Harris and Biden's handling of the economy and immigration two areas where Republicans have heavily criticized the White House he may also highlight aspects PS of her political record including her past support for uh decriminalization uh or excuse me decriminalizing uh border crossings and banning fracking two policies that she backed during her 2020 presidential bid and has since uh pivoted on now on the other hand Harris has repeatedly tied Trump's platform to project 2025 a 900 page uh set of policy proposals for a potential second term but forward by a conservative think tank um The Heritage Foundation Trump has tried to distance himself from that plan which includes further restrictions on the abortion AIS among a slew of moves that would increase executive power Tuesday's matchup also poses new Stakes for Trump he's facing a very different opponent in the aftermath of the June debate the former president's mistakes weren't a focus largely because of Biden's more noticeably poor performance that said Trump by no means had a perfect night repeatedly highlighting false and misleading information according to this NPR article so this time as NPR's Dominico Monero pointed out if Harris has a solid debate the focus could be on Trump in a way that he doesn't want so what is next going from here vice presidential candidates Minnesota Democratic governor Tim Waltz and Ohio Republican senator JD Vance they will face off on October 1st in a debate hosted by CBS News the two hold similar roles in their respective campaigns to appeal to voters in the blue wall state of Pennsylvania Michigan and Wisconsin this fall now it's unclear whether Harrison Trump will debate a second time no additional dates have been formally announced as of yet so we are waiting for this September 10th uh debate that is going to be tomorrow this is the only one that we know of right now there could be more on the way but they're saying that this one uh this could be the only one but it might also just be the first of two to come now we already had that debate before with Biden and that was actually the end of his campaign run and now we're going to be seeing what unfolds tomorrow for that now she wants to build a wall says big queef yes uh we have heard that that KLA Harris has a great idea she wants to build a wall to help with the uh uh illegal immigration so we're going to be seeing and as this article mentioned there's a couple of things that she has flipped her stance on um so going to be seeing though what comes out tomorrow how she responds a lot of people said that she has not done well with impromptu speeches or debates uh that she likes to have notes they actually wanted to see if she could have notes for the debate and they said no notes you're just going to have to go out there and know your policies know what you believe in speak on it and also defend it as you go up against uh Donald Trump so it's going to be very interesting to see how things unfold
