[Music] [Music] welcome to the show Once Again everybody my name is Mark farzetta this is the fary show presented by my bookie mybookie.ag uh for those that might have missed the show yesterday a lot of technical difficulties in the studio so once again I'm on the phone I have some uh new equipment ordered we're going to get that fired up as soon as it arrives which is hopefully by tomorrow uh one piece did arrive today I tried working that work before the show it didn't so here I am again via phone and here's what we're gonna get into today lot of news about your Philadelphia affili not just that Bryce Harper walked off a victory against the Houston Astros last night at Citizens Bank Park in front of Joel embiid who was also on phone filming the whole thing that was pretty Bonkers we'll get into that but before the game two things really pissed me off now don't get me wrong I'm gonna focus on the fact that the Phillies won and I'm happy that the Phillies won I'm excited flat out excited that the Phillies won but there's two things before the game that really pissed me off and if the Phillies would have lost last night especially after Zack Wheeler battled through six Innings I mean he really battled through four Innings and then the fifth and sixth Innings he settled in quite nicely but before the game listening to Rob Thompson talk about how Taiwan Walker is going to make a start on Wednesday you know what you need to do folks need to buy a ticket unfortunately I'm sorry but you can get a great discount on uh game time app using promo code fary Shameless plug you need to go to that game on Wednesday and if Rob Thompson isn't going to tell his boss Dave debrowski that he can't start Taiwan Walker because Taiwan Walker sucks um then this needs to go into the fan base's hands and I've been saying this since tywell Walker's last start against those Kansas City Royals that when he takes to the mound if he is to take to the mound one more time at least then you Philadelphia we Philadelphia Philadelphia Philly's fan base need to not boo Taiwan Walker when he gets taken out in the fourth inning and that's being kind in this start coming up here against the Astros on Wednesday don't boo him don't boo anybody on the field don't boo anybody in the Dugout turn around and boo the front office turn your back to the field and give a what the hell to the front office in the Philadelphia philes because all honesty I I can't put this on Rob Thompson I can't put it on tywell Walker he's not it's not like he's going to be like wait I uck no no no give the ball to the next guy no that's not g get Kobe Allard involved again no he's not going to do that Dave debrowski needs to make the decision and shut down Taiwan Walker here's the the easiest way to do this Taiwan Walker you've been on the the IL two separate stints this year you have obviously struggled you have not been able to find your arm slau with any consistency you are SE seed you're seating out you're sit it out we're sitting we're sitting you out that's exactly just like that to Taiwan Walker we're sitting you out for the entire season you're on the bench we're shutting it down there's you have it very easy it's a very easy way tell Taiwan Walker thanks but no thanks for the rest of the year now I know if this was me I would just he'd be out see you later I don't care about 18 million Deuces dude you're out but the Phillies kind of care about $18 million and they want to see if they can get anything out of that1 million from Taiwan Walker so they're going to roll them out again unfortunately uh but I think the best best thing to do considering also Taiwan Walker had a much better year last year and even last year seems like a pipe dream to get him back to that level I'm not even talking about the wins but Ty Walker didn't even pitch in the postseason so by him still pitching now you're taking away reps from someone that could be helping you in the postseason this makes no sense whatsoever to have Taiwan Walker back out there on the bump on Wednesday say uh but yet that's what Rob Thompson told the media before the game yesterday which right away R me the wrong way just like seeing Alex Hayes in the lineup against a righty are we are we are we we're still doing this we're still doing this we're still doing the thing where you telling me that uh Austin Hayes can hit right-handed pitching and you're putting uh Brandon Mars in center field who's not nearly as good a center fielder as Johan roas but yet he's a thousand times better left field than Austin Hayes and the Phillies last time I checked still need to win some baseball games in order to solidify a number one spot in the um the national league in general so for me I would very much like the Phillies to stop with this Austin Hayes against righy Jazz and just go with Johan roas in center and Brandon marshan left what is so difficult about this why are we doing this why are we even having this fight what what's going on here feeling on crazy pills between Taiwan Walker and this Austin hay canit right-handed pitch thing I told you many times before if Austin Hayes could hit right-hand pitching this year then he would have cost you more than Sir Anthony Dominguez and Christian pche okay okay other than that um other than that everything else was great uh other than the first four innings for Zack Wheeler he did struggle through it but he got through it he battled through uh you know despite not having his best stuff battled through those first four Innings he was at 59 pitches excuse me 79 pitches at the start of the fifth inning before settling in and then I think he had 97 pitches in total on the night so that is uh through the fifth and sixth Innings that's a pretty nice outing there for Zack Wheeler so even though he didn't have the good stuff and I will say that I feel like I am pretty uh nonbiased when it comes to judging umpires I I when I see a call go against the Phillies a strike call or a ball call against the Phillies I I look at the other team and I say what are they getting that call okay they're getting that call then it's it's Universal then the Umpire is even though it's not a strike it's a strike tonight or even though it's not a ball it's a ball tonight but it goes both ways uh last night it did not go both ways Zach wheeler was absolutely getting squeezed a hell of a lot more than Blanco was and there was a situation that Kyle schwarber struck out on the highway fastball uh that was definitely a ball but called a strike uh and then Zack Willer would pop the M or pretty much to the same location and that was called a ball that doesn't make any sense to me Derrik Thomas who was behind the plate last night is the home plate ire that didn't make any sense to me and it was pretty consistent throughout the night that the Astros were getting the calls and the Phillies were not getting the calls very rarely is this something that I have seen happen this year but this is an example of it absolutely going down that way where the Phillies weren't getting the benefit of a wider higher and lower Strike Zone higher and longer Strike Zone that the Astros were getting last night unfortunately so that kind of pissed me off but bottom line is Zack Wheeler found his way into the sixth inning only allowed two runs uh did walk two as well I think that had something to do with that tight Strike Zone as well uh and the Phillies were able to pull it out for him with Brandon Mars getting his 13th home run of the Season Nick casianos in the very next inning getting an RBI single up the middle after Bryce harford's lead off double and then John krook had some wisdom Sage wisdom last night the first thing and and probably most important in terms of Life uh fellas if you're going to do the stadium proposal if she says no there's plenty of uh plenty of other single ladies in the stadium that would say yes John krook I feel like when John Kook talks it you need to have that old you remember the old NBC graphic the more you know you know remember that from yeah that needs to happen after John crook has his has these uh drops his knowledge upon the fan base so that was one thing the other thing was uh he said Bryce Harper was gonna win the game now he admitted after the game he didn't know it was gonna be in the 10th inning I think it was the eighth inning that Bryce Harper came up to the plate again and that's when uh looking at my notes eth [Music] inning wait where yeah seventh inning uh Harper walked up to the plate he ended up walking in the seventh inning with the game tied at two and that I think it was at that at bat that John krook said Bryce Harper is gonna win this game Bryce Harper is gonna win the game he called it three Innings earlier in the seventh and then we get to the 10th inning two things in the 10th inning number one the defense in the top of the 10th inning Bryce Harper helping the cause Big Time flagging down that uh I think it was an Alvarez grounder yeah Alvarez grounder on the first Baseline he Smothers it wins the race to the bag gets the second out of the inning bada bom bada bang the AFF mentioned Johan Ras is in center field now as a defensive replacement as opposed to starting the game and he'd be fine but he's a defensive replacement Matt strs on the mound this was the only hit that uh made me a little nervous uh he goes up there and and uh little shaky he's facing uh Diaz there in the uh top of the 10th inning and Diaz lines one to center field that Johan Roos is quickly approaching he is running it down I'm hoping it doesn't drop in I see Roos go into the dive diving forward is very difficult and Johan Roos makes like a routine diving catch if you will to Rob Diaz of the uh the base hit to rob the Astros of the go-ahead run because they had a runner on third at that point and the Phillies go on to win the game in the bottom of the ninth inning on Bryce Harper's RBI single to right field Phillies win it just like that Bryce Harper won it he helped win it with his double earlier in the game and scoring a run to to tie the game scoring the game tying run then he brought in the goahead run the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning you also had some great defense for you at first base that continues for Bryce Harper uh here's what I love about it Bryce Harper uh yes recently has uh had some struggles especially in that Atlanta Brave series and then more recently he started to find his way out of it starting in that Kansas City Royal series and then getting it going tonight for another multi-hit game for Bryce Harper the average is starting to climb back up a little bit and you're also starting to see uh him driving a couple of runs hit for some extra base hits it's his third straight excuse me it's his fourth straight game with a double so let's keep that going for Bryce Harper also his uh third straight game with an RBI and this one just happened to be the gamewinner if the Phillies are going to uh catch the Dodgers uh if you will in the National League and the Phillies are going to regain that top spot in the National League and and obviously hold on to the top spot in the NL East the Braves did win last night by the way then what they're going to need is Bryce Harper to 1,000 billion perc get back to the MVP status MVP caliber status that he had uh two months ago and before the All-Star break we were talking about Trey Turner and Bryce Harper pushing one another to get better and better and compete for an MVP award this season and unfortunately in the second half of the Season you haven't really seen a lot of that you've seen none of it basically none of it basically but now Bryce Harper and the Phillies Trey Turner and the Phillies Kyle schwarber and the Phillies these guys are one game behind the Dodgers in the National League and they need to keep on climbing get that distance past the Dodgers and then guess get that distance in the standings they're not going to do that unless Bryce Harper really gets it going uh Nick casianos had an RBI single last night that brought in Harper after the double I mentioned R Marsh's 13th home run of the season that's great get him swinging a hot bat too uh and then a better lineup card uh for instance one that doesn't feature Austin Hayes against right handed pitching that would be great thanks uh and then also not not having taiwon Walker start again let me can I still I'm going to go back to that yeah let's not have him start again please thank you um couple other things from last night's game the bullpen was fantastic I know Matt strm was kind of Saved there in that uh 10th inning with some great defense but Orion kirking came in and absolutely dealt last night uh then you saw uh Jeff Hoffman come in there and he was on top of his game and the Phillies really uh did a good job with their Bullpen last night making sure that they were able to slammed the door uh Carlos EST stz came in there he did a fine job good to see him have a mostly clean inning there uh in the bottom of the ninth there going be top of the ninth inning uh so all that was great from the Phils love seeing that and the 640 start time is a is a welcomed return I will say that um but looking at that box score again for the Phillies pitching kirking an inning one hit Hoffman one hit then Estevez and uh stum uh perfect love to see it how about those guys combining for 19 pitches Hoffman needed 12 to get through his eighth inning All Good Vibes All Good Vibes for the Phils uh they got Aaron Nola on the hill tonight I'll take on Justin Verlander the philli is now 77 and 54 on the season uh Astros are 70 and 61 on the year and here's the thing about the Phillies so uh let's do the math together okay we'll do it together they won game two okay against the Royals they won game three against the Royals and they won game one here last night against the Houston Astros how many is that three in a row a winning streak it has happened before uh Phillies haven't won four in a row I I know I've I've documented this before but the Phillies haven't won four in a row since pre- London actually London was when they won their fourth in a row they won they swept the Brewers remember that and then they uh they beat the the Mets in London that's the last time philes have won four in a row if they win four in a row I believe the parade will start um at the art museum and then go toward the stadium yeah that's how it will go actually no it'll go from the stadium up to City Hall where we uh have ourselves a little bit of a party Aaron Nola charged with uh getting the Phillies over the hump today tonight rather hope that actually happens um yeah 640 start time tonight uh Philadelphia Eagles are having their cold cuts uh the only one that made me raise my eyebrows in the least bit from yesterday was uh AAR the wide receiver that himself a nice little game there in game three not that I thought he was going to make the roster me go huh I'm still very curious to see Orin Burks what goes on with that today Tuesday 4M is the cut down day deadline I I heard when I was listening to Ross Tucker uh talk about yeah no one calls to give you the good news that hey you made the team like that doesn't happen you just get the call that you're cut they tell you to be in your hotel room or be wherever between you know what do you say like between 10 and noon 9 and noon or whatever it is and the phone didn't ring so he's like I I am I do they am I did I make the team I yeah he made the team uh yeah today's gotta be a nerve-wracking day for guys like Orin Burks for instance Ben Von sumerin who I think is at least gonna wind up on the practice squad think yeah he's eligible for that uh that's the one position I'm really interested to see and then James Bradberry I've talked a lot about James Bradberry potentially um playing his last game as a Philadelphia Eagle I'm gonna go ahead and assume today is the his last day as a Philadelphia Eagle I think he's already played his last game and I think today is his last day as a Philadelphia Eagle um and know guys I was referencing yesterday Jeff McLean's article on inquire.com about uh the defensive back situation the safety uh position and the Eagles are just going to eat some dead money when it comes to James Bradberry unfortunately I'd love to see them pull off some kind of trade this is where hoe can uh again wow me and pull off a trade that would get James Bradbery out of here and it would help you with that cap obviously but uh don't think that's gonna happen I think you're just gonna end up eating a big old dead cap sandwich unfortunately with James Bradberry but everything else will come into fall into place tonight or ex me this afternoon four o'clock uh by the cut down deadline line one thing I didn't even mention on yesterday's show I'm sorry this was old news by then but still uh the Eagles announced that LeSean McCoy is going into their Hall the fame we all have phenomenal memories of LESA McCoy and what he was what he has here but unfortunately uh you know the NFL's the Eagles alltime leading rusher which is something so many people forget about because the end of his career was marred so bad by Chip Kelly being that it ended prematurely as a Philadelphia Eagle when there's still plenty of good Juju left lad McCoy um but I think of a generational T Philadelphia Eagles generational Talent or a Hall of Famer whose career was cut short and in today's NFL where you're just not run of the football nearly as much you're talking about a record that could have been standing for a very very very very long time in terms of being the Eagles alltime leading rusher um LESA McCoy was one of my favorite players to ever watch and there's a couple of things that obviously jump to mind uh 17 rushing touchdowns 20 touchdowns in one season under Andy Reid I know I know everyone wants to talk about his time under Chip Kelly but that was brief obviously but the 2011 season that sucked overall because of a Dream Team year if you will uh lesan McCoy went out there and absolutely balled out that year with 20 touchdowns I think of a guy that could catch the ball out of the back field I think of a guy that could run between the tackles bounce it outside uh just was an electric Runner and one of the things I think about is of all people Chris Collinsworth um Chris Collinsworth nationally went out on a limb pretty big limb with lesea McCoy and I remember sometimes you hear these uh piping hot takes and you go oh come on and the only thing I can liken it to and it's not on this same level by any means but it's just in terms of hearing something that you usually hear as a hot take and and go H maybe I remember when kawh Leonard unfortunately and he beat the Sixers in the playoffs I remember that year when kawh Leonard was playing in the playoffs it was the first time I ever heard anyone say no one's played like this on both ends of the floor since Michael Jordan it was the first time I heard that piping hot of a take and then went that's actually not a hot take at all that's actually a pretty good that's pretty good point wow that's yeah that's true and I then I remember nobody had a problem with that take and it became a very popular take well to go to a lower level with a very similar comparison in terms of Praise Chris Collinsworth went out on a line and was the first person to say you know I know I'm gonna get a lot of flack for this but lesea McCoy here's a guy here's a guy that really reminds me of Barry Sanders and I was like I remember like I was on the Sunday Night Football truck and I had coughing I spit that out spit did a spit take what what did you just say and then I'm watching it I'm like that particular move he just made all right that was Barry Sanders esque and then to to heat up a a hot take on top of the hot take it was like a stack of hot take pancakes he was like this guy's a closer like Mariano Rivera and I'm like good God man keep on heaping this praise upon this kid fine great wonderful Grand but um we just had Barry Sanders and Mariana a Vera comparisons with McCoy all right I'm here for it uh and hey look he was that good and he was also the coner was also the first that I heard describe a running back as a nationally describe a running back as a closer um so I mean he was one of the first people to really go out there and and praise Lan McCoy and he was right on everything with lesan McCoy he was that good and the point of me telling you that is not to praise Chris Collinsworth by any means it's to rather point out how stupid Chip Kelly was to let a guy of that Talent walk for Kiko Alando is down in history as one of the dumbest trades ever made not just in Philadelphia uh went on to have three great years in uh Buffalo um would have had three more thousand yard seasons only had two only had two in Buffalo but a very versatile player that just didn't have to run between the tackles like I said could also catch the football I remember I somehow became uh lesea McCoy's uh host I believe to his 24th birthday party which was the chickies and pets that was a random night uh and then um yeah I just remember how much fun the guy had playing the game snow globe game I know we could all talk about um but man uh good to see that he is getting his place at lincol Financial Field and the eagles hall of fame um so that's awesome absolutely awesome uh one more piece of news I want to get into with you guys has to do with the 76ers Stadium uh and in case you guys haven't seen it uh there was an article put out today on inquire.com about those 1098 76ers and the cities releasing of four studies uh of the impact a stadium would have downtown now one of the numbers that I was looking for now here's the deal in case you haven't heard me say this before I'll say it to you right now um I love the idea of a Downtown Arena all the cities I've been to with downtown Arenas are so much fun and I love it and I think it's great for the city if the city can handle it that's the big if I don't know if the city of Philadelphia can handle this and I don't I don't mean the people I mean the government of the city of Philadelphia are they going to increase public transit are they gonna have more parking garages uh what what's it going to be like around the arena for people that are coming to the game is are they going to be safe with the crime rate in the city it's not exactly great but right now what they have seven years to prepare for this uh but when you talk about Economic Development and that's what I've talked about a lot when I talk about the city of Baltimore other than Philadelphia Baltimore is probably the city that I am most familiar with uh being that my mother's from there I lived there for I lived in Baltimore for one year um and I've been in and out of that area for my entire life I was there before the stadium before Memorial or excuse me before Canon yards barely but I was there and I remember the buildup around it uh and then MNT B Stadium build up down there as well so I'm in no means an expert but I've seen what it could do um for me I think a downtown stadium is awesome but again is the city going to be ready for it I do worry or I do have a concern about the economic development now this Arena that the city is putting out there and the Sixers are putting out there that's um 18,500 seats uh would generate about 1.9 according to the inquire $1.9 billion dollars in additional economic activity over the course of its construction and 30 years of operation 1.9 billion that sounds like an Nic little influx uh now according to the inquire the and the study it would result in$ 390 million in net tax revenue for the city so you're making money um although the project according to the inquir would not cause direct housing displacement in nearby Chinatown meaning no housing would be torn down uh an arena could cause indirect displacement through gentrification and loss of cultural identity so basically people that live there now in Chinatown would say this isn't Chinatown anymore and don't feel comfortable or don't like it and they they want to get out um lastly uh the thing that I didn't even highlight now I've talked about the economic development this study certainly backs that up but one other thing is I've talked about this phrase moving money around uh an article I read on the Sacramento Kings changing Arenas they talk a lot about economic development of an arena going downtown well if it's just one team like the Sacramento Kings then that's moving money but if it's two teams like this would be the Flyers and the Sixers playing in Philadelphia with the Flyers staying in the Wells Fargo Center and the Sixers building 76 place or whatever it's going to be called eventually that means that you have two Arenas you could have two concerts the same night you could be bringing in you know eight you know what almost 20,000 people uh to 76 place and then another state another Arena 20,000 people bringing into the city at the Wells Fargo Center so this would not be an example and something I didn't even think about this would not be an example of moving money around this would be opening up another great venue but again I to tell me an idea to give me the idea of oh it's a Downtown Arena I'm like yeah I'm in let's go in general but when it comes to the city of Philadelphia Someone who lived in the city for 20 years and saw the most recent decline it's gone through for me that's a huge concern as to whether or not you're going to keep the people safe whether or not you're going to have enough public transit and also I don't want to not think about the people that don't give a damn about sports because they do exist they're not in my world but I know they exist I and I I want to be kind to them as a sports fan because I don't want someone that doesn't care about anything all of a sudden being hung up in traffic in Philly for an hour because they can't get out because of a game or an event or whatever is going on right in Center City so you have to have the public transit absolutely increased you absolutely have to have the safety of these people I know you can't guarantee it but you have to put yourself in a good position as a city to keep these people safe um from not just know assault but also crime in general uh thievery uh and as also as far as moving money around the other thing that I just love about the stadium in in the downtown is when you go to an arena you go to a sporting event uh and you know you're going to be downtown H my feeling on it is that people are a lot more likely well people are more hell of a lot more likely to spend their money at different bars and restaurants and that money gets spread out to the different bars and restaurants establishments uh shops in the city and for a city that's trying to revive itself like many other cities and when it comes to the postco world and bring people back to the workplace or whatever um a Downtown Arena certainly helps that cause so I would assume that would be in mayor Parker's line of thinking as well considering she has been heading up people going back to the workplace in Center City um since she's taken office um but when it comes to this situation now I think that that would be a huge bargaining trip uh excuse me a huge uh um factor for her and the rest of the city officials but is the city going to be ready for it my question has nothing to do with the Sixers it has everything to do about the city of Philadelphia I would I know I'd have a lot of fun at the Downtown Arena if you work in the city you're more likely to go to the office and then go to the game um if you have tickets to the game that night yeah you're probably more likely to go to to the office and then go to the game afterwards so that's where I'm at on it uh I found this study to be interesting um there's still a lot of holes that they got a plug safety being number one uh hey let me tell about the great people speaking of going to games the game time app download the game time app to your tocom let's get into the chat chck see Wonder for people are doing on this fine Tuesday Morning appreciate you guys hanging in once again during the technical difficulties of the fary show uh Jason a what's going on nice to see you morning everyone how about that win how about that win you know a couple more things on the uh oh you're excited for roster cuts are you Jason you know who's not excited for roster cuts the roster cuts um coule things Dusty Wan JT yeah it was after Marsh's home run wait a minute wait what did I yeah sixth inning uh Bryce Harper leads off with a double b grounds out Harper goes to third casianos gets the RBI single then Stott I think grounds out anyway he makes the second out of the inning real Muto gets the double so there's two outs in the inning casianos is going on contact now let me pause here for a second because I am the first person to talk about Nick casianos being the slowest guy on the team I'm the first person to talk about who would win in a race Pat Burl or Nick casianos or Greg lozinski and there's a good chance that Nick casianos comes in last in that race but anyway uh Cassie all is on first base real Muto puts it down the down the third Bas line in the leftfield and Alvarez is out there not the best Fielder not the most Fleet of foot I thought casianos was gonna score on it and I know he's slow as can be but there's two outs he's running on contact he scores on that play uh a a good throw does get him for the final out of the inning however knowing who's in left if I'm I'm sending him so Alvarez gets the ball he crashes it into the wall a little bit leans into it while he's throwing the ball the throw is offline and by the time the throw came into frame Nick casianos looked like he had been standing a couple feet down the Third Base Line towards home for a minute like there was a lot of time that seemed like it transpired between Nick casianos slightly rounding third even though he definitely stopped it wasn't like he had to slam on the brakes and Dusty Waton holding him there because when the ball came into frame he looked like he had been standing there for a little bit um hindsight Nick casianos absolutely scores on that pitiful throw because it looked like it had to be cut off as well um in the moment I could see why Dusty watan would be hesitant but there's two outs and casanas is running on contact and that ball took a while took a while to get down the third Bas line uh so that was a a bad juju I felt from uh Dusty Waton in a play that made me scratch my head a little bit uh just to point that out uh April good morning April ring the bell great seeing that fire from Bryce Harper I will say watching swbs run definitely Burl Vibes I think scharber would beat casianos in a foot race um Kyle schwarber kind of reminds me of Matt Stairs in terms of when he runs he really has no interest in running like that's the that's the look um my brother and I used to talk about all the time like when Matt STS would walk my brother used always be like I've never seen anyone more pissed off that he has to walk he's like I gotta go on base now just I just want to trot around the bases and that's it go go and sit in the Dugout I gotta stand for a couple minutes this sucks uh Jason what's going on uh need to win at least four more wins in a row to make me feel better well here you go Jason here's the deal I was on the Sully show last night with the Sully Squad Sean K what's going on and uh we were talking about you know what we need to see from the fields and I need to see them take two of three against the Astros they beat a good team in the Royals two out of three that's a rarity this part of the Season second half of the Year beat two beat the Royals two out of three good then they got the Braves the Phillies obviously can't look past the Astros they got to beat the Astros first but I'm going to go because I don't got to play in these games I'm going to look ahead to the Astros or EXC me to the uh Braves so the Braves philes have coming up after this in a Four game series they have to win that series I I I would love to say they're GNA sweep the Braves uh I would love to say that out loud to y'all's faces and mean it but the Braves are a legit thorn in the Philly side because not only can they beat you in the regular season like the Marlins but they um potentially could have enough of a chip on their shoulder to actually finally in the year they're least likely to do it beat the Phillies in the playoffs and um I don't like saying that out loud because I don't want to believe it but there has been nothing the Phillies have done against the Braves to lead me to believe anything other than what I just told you which is the Braves are more threatening now than they've ever been um I had uh this is what it reminds me of I had the in my very brief um High School writing career covering High School sports a million years ago I remember karate tournament and I remember um this one kid that was like a a black belt was sparring a in against somebody on his own team and the coach was telling me um that the black belt could never beat this other kid because the other kid was so bad that it was like he had no technique so the kid that was really good didn't even understand what the hell the other guy was doing he was just so unpredictable and I just remember thinking that was the weirdest thing and that stuck in my head and whatever I see a team that makes no sense that they're doing well I think of well they have just no technique they just can't they just can't they're unpredictable you don't know what they're going to do the Phillies should know the bravs by now they should be predictable regardless of the fact that they have uh damn near All-Star team on the uh uh on the uh the theil um but they they they they're scary right now because I don't even think they know what they're capable of but I know here's one thing I know they're capable of beating the Phillies unfortunately as they have throughout this entire year so the Phillies to take three out of four would be very nice the Phillies to sweep that would be what I was that would be what I'm hoping for uh a week ago in Atlanta last weekend in Atlanta that's what I'd be hoping for no last week in Atlanta um I did want to look at that pitching match up because I was a little confused about what that looks like for the Phillies and the brav series uh so Nola goes tonight Sanchez walker uh I think Walker is supposed to be Wednesday according to Rob Thompson um and then Sanchez would open it up then against Atlanta then Suarez wheeler no so that's the that's the perfect perfect way to do it um for the Phils in terms of the pitching matchups Lopez so Charlie Morton looks like he would go for Atlanta on Thursday then Lopez freed and schallamach against Nola I don't like that schollen Bach fella I don't like him one bit all right back to the comments thank you Jason appreciate you James Alexander what's going on good morning what a thriller last night in the bottom of the 10th inning the winning streak continues to build some momentum keep it going hopefully Bryce can keep it up he look lost over the past two months yes he has Sean Kell R there's my man what's going on Bryce is right uh that's what it's about clutch Don Arlington Arlington what's going on uh do you think Nola will have a complete Game this year like all like all oh like the other starters you know what why not tonight actually you know what no I want Nola to go six Innings tonight 90 pitches I'll give him two runs that's what I'll do uh Nola tonight six Innings two runs repeat the line of Zack Wheeler 90 95 pitches at most and then he's a little bit more fresh for the uh Braves game that's what I'll do that's what I'll be rooting for that's what I'll be pulling for tonight uh don again uh bench Walker bring back Allard yeah I'm a thousand times with you far as you can't bet a bar what's going on part C it's a bar you know ever since you challenged me the Phillies have uh you know four game winning streak no I know they lost the Series against the Braves but really ever since you challenged me far as he came P the bar they've been doing just fine and dandy James Alexander Bullpen came through yes they did shese good morning uh glad Shady got two Super Bowl rings yeah how about that one was with the Chiefs the other one was with the the bucks right yeah yeah that's the way that worked the Brady one obviously and then uh yeah good for shady Joseph Brennan uh did you see marfield had five hits last night I did not see what marfield had five hits last night against not playing the Phillies what is that even allowed yeah in case you didn't see it the Braves won nine to uh 10 to six um they did really well and then they had a uh a rain delay wh marfield let off for him last night holy strolly uh wh marfield five for five one double four singles yeah no home runs he sucks anyway uh Whit marfields average jumps up to 237 congratulations Whit marfield I'm getting that going uh Sean kill what's going on Joseph by the way the reason I pause is because like my buddy that watches the show from pittburg is also named Joseph Brenan um he's from Philly he's the Flyers fan I'll reference from time to time on the show Sean kill what's going on Phillies have won five of seven games at citizen bang Park they are 43 and 23 at home at a time for the best record in baseball with the Dodgers yeah except for when the Dodgers play the Phillies at Dodgers Stadium that's awesome I didn't know that uh thank you Sean ibh uh the city's answer to parking has always been the same shove shove your car wherever the sun don't shine that's one thing that study did talk about too is that there's enough parking garages in the city now I wouldn't mine a couple more obviously but that's also something I've pointed out many times that one of the things about a Downtown Arena when everybody talks about traffic is that it's you're in a city there's a lot of parking garages so you spread that out it's not like all at the arena it's grid lock at Center City the parking gets spread out you park in a garage three blocks up whatever and then you walk in Sean lesby city has to clean up the subway absolutely uh Sean gby C has to clean up the Subway because traffic will be a horror show for events yes uh there are also in terms of from my experence I think Seattle does this well I mean a lot of cities Do It um I mean Washington's not in a city but a lot of places just change the traffic flow and I know that causes more problems elsewhere uh but in terms of just getting 20,000 people out of the city as fast as possible I would assume there might be traffic flow changes traffic pattern changes uh to get people out of the city as fast as possible in the event that there's like two big events going on I know that's what a lot of people like about uh the sports complex is that even though it does take a little while to get out well it's faster than other places oh I did see that April Aaron Donald and LESA MCO and jeans racing each other and Aaron Donald W wait did you see Sean C did you see the final day of training camp last week the Eagles coaches had some players square off on one and ones against each other I did not see that in front of the whole team that's great really Sean that's interesting the crime downtown is primarily from shoplifting primarily during the weekends with clubs H um I mean I think I've told you guys uh the reason we moved to the suburbs uh other than being close to family um there were um three things going on in my neighborhood a purse snatcher that was using a a gun um they they said the gun fired but they couldn't find where the bullet went um but anyway uh purse snatcher serial purse snatcher uh a shooting next door to my house next door like the next door next door to my house and then a shooting uh a block and a half up uh on a corner that I was was standing on with my mother 20 20 minutes prior um so when I think of the city I'm not thinking of just shoplifting I'm thinking of some other things that have been going on um but yeah protecting the people coming into the arena protecting the people coming into your city obviously a primary thing um but yeah that's going on too Sean I have no doubt uh Sean kill what's going on you see oh sorry I got that one already wait Sean K Ben Von sumerin was lined up at receiver against Andre Sam who got cut yesterday uh wow V summeran ran a filthy Corner route all right all right fine then he makes the team I'm in ibh I'm just gonna say just gonna put it up there and people can know it's hilarious thank you for doing that it's my favorite emoji I send that at the most in inappropriate times uh thanks for hopping on the oh had a blast with you guys Sean thank you Sully Squad check it out YouTube Jason a what's going on uh downtown isn't the issue it's everywhere around it mainly Northeast and southwest worst areas besides Kensington beautiful Kensington Sean gby head is looking shiny and smooth uh knowing that I would probably have to be on my phone again on a better camera I did I did shave the dome for you I even cleaned up down here this I can go like this for a while this is what I think makes me uh look rather ragged so I try to get get you know trim up the neck beard uh as much as possible Uh Oh sha oh Sean Sean to Shan uh Sul Squad I think I have that right did you put it up there
