Alec Baldwin Verdict Announced

in an absolute bombshell move today the judge dismissed all charges against actor Alec Baldwin Alec Baldwin was on trial for the involuntary manslaughter of cinematographer Helena Hutchins in October 2021 Baldwin was rehearsing a scene with a gun for the movie rust on a ranch just outside of Santa Fe New Mexico the gun unexpectedly went off wounding director Joel Souza and fatally shooting cinematographer Helena Hutchins Baldwin pled not guilty stating that they respond responsibility for ensuring the gun was safe was not his job but the Armor's job back in March of this year Hannah Gutierrez Reed the armorer was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the case and sentenced to 18 months in prison she was due to testify although reluctantly in Baldwin's trial Baldwin's trial began on July 10th 2024 and was only on its third day of testimony when in a stunning turn of events the defense brought a motion to dismiss based on evidence that was not disclosed by the prosecution apparently the state had withheld ammunition evidence the state said the ammunition in question was not collected during the initial rust investigation so it was not relevant the defense claimed that law enforcement was not allowed to make that decision and that the evidence should have been disclosed to them before trial began so where did this mystery ammo come from after Gutierrez reads conviction former Arizona police officer Troy tesky delivered a collection of rounds to the Sant a sheriff's office and handed them to a crime scene technician he told the technician that the ammo was not from the Russ set but from the same set of live rounds that Gutierrez had for a different film project tesky was also the friend of Hollywood armor phel Reed who is the father of Gutierrez Reed the defense suggested today that the ammo was actually dropped off during Reed's trial but was never disclosed to her attorneys when the ammo evidence was handed to the crime scene technician she put it in a completely separate case File not the Russ file because she stated under testimony that that's what she was told to do the judge then slammed the prosecution for not disclosing this piece of crucial evidence she then dismissed all charges against Baldwin with prejudice which means the state cannot refile the same charges against him in another crazy turn of events the first chair prosecutor for the state orindo ampo Johnson resigned today after she believed the charg against Baldwin should have been dismissed due to the withheld evidence if the trial had been allowed to continue and if Baldwin would have been found guilty he faced up to 18 months in prison whether you're in the camp of believing that Alec was responsible for Helena's death or if you believe that he was not at all responsible this was one lucky day for Alec Baldwin
