Caitlin Clark And Kelsey Mitchell SHOWED UP Despite The Loss…

the Indiana Fever just lost against the Minnesota lyns and if you're a fan you can look at the lost in two different ways for one you can look at it in light of the fact that Indiana just had one week of rest they've had all the rest you could possibly need in the middle of the season and Minnesota is coming off a back toback and somehow Minnesota came out with more energy and more effort than the Indiana Fever but look though you can also look at the game in a positive aspect Indiana fought tooth and nail with Minnesota up until I'll say the 3 four minute Mark in the fourth quarter before then Indiana could have ran away with the game and look that is in light of the fact that Indiana did terrible things they missed a whole lot of open shots they missed a whole lot of open layups their interior defense was terrible their perimeter defense was terrible their Zone rotations were terrible everything was terrible and yet they only lost by 10 points I think this was a pretty encouraging game if Indiana could just take back six of those Miss layups in this game they would have won look I'm not saying this was a good game in any respect but we're going to go over the good because I think there is good things we can look at in this game that can be translated now check out this first play Kayan clarkk is pushing the pace in transition and Kelsey Mitchell Cuts back door that is a beautiful pass a beautiful finish you know I love when these players cut back door sure Indiana did lose the game but man if you're wondering how they only lost by 10 points it's because of good habits earlier in the year if they would have been playing against the same Mota Link's team I'm sure Indiana would have lost by 40 the reason they were able to cut that to only a 10-point deficit is because you have good habits now one thing I really like seeing in this game was the amount of mid-range shots Kaylin Clark shot in the first quarter I think she may have shot three or four mid-range shots and she made this one this is a great shot look I will be honest these are not the shots I was trying to get Kay and Clark to shoot I wanted her to shoot more shots in the flow of the game there are mid-range shots that she can get to when the defense plays a drop coverage on her those are the ones I'm looking for these are forced these are strange shots but the fact that she's shooting mid-range shots regardless is a good thing because man just shooting them in the flow of the game is going to get her better at it now look at this play this is exactly what went wrong for Indiana it's because they had terrible perimeter defense that they lost the game look at kayen Clark she got cooked she got cooked she's jumping for joy this is terrible man the perimeter defense and the rotations were just so off they were just so bad this was like early early in the game if you go to the third fourth quarter bro the perimeter defense was so so terrible they could not stop the three-point Shooters it is really wretched now can we take a quick detour because I have a really big bone to pick with the WNBA for one it's the refer ring because the refer ring is terrible I know y'all saw it I saw it the refs are terrible it's so inconsistent I cannot take it but that's something that's going to take time you can't just you know clean house and get rid of all your referees and change all your laws in the middle of the Season you cannot do that but what you can do is get better camera quality today you can do that today all you have to do is go to Best Buy and buy a better camera what's up with this camera on these commentators why am I looking through somebody's Grandma's refrigerator's webcam what is this man I look I feel like I'm sitting in somebody's lap what what is this camera quality like it's not even so much that the camera is bad the the camera is bad my camera is a better camera than whatever camera they're using here but what is even worse is the fact that the angle is so janky why am I on the right side to the bottom this is terrible we're supposed to be the WNBA this is the Women's National Basketball Association is this the best basketball league for women that's what I've been told so we can't get better camera quality now check out this next play Kelsey Mitchell comes off the screen and look at this beautiful shot this beautiful high arch shot it's butter it's pure man Kelsey Mitchell is spectacular we all know Indie lost this game but what Kelsey Mitchell has been doing recently cannot go unseen she is proving that she is worth the money what we saw early in the season is not the Kelsey Mitchell that we're seeing today she's one of those players that comes into the season and she just needs a little bit of time to marinade and then she gets to her Peak about halfway through the season I guess we're past the halfway mark we're past the allstar break but now she's finally full form this is the Kelsey Mitchell they were telling us Tails about at the beginning of the Season y'all remember that I remember we were looking at Kelsey Mitchell and I was like bro there is no way this woman was an Allstar there's no way this woman is supposed to be one of the best players in the league but she just needed time and now we've had time it's passed and she's at her full form if Kelsey Mitchell keeps playing like this I have high hopes for the Indiana Fever in the postseason now look at this next play cayin Clark finds Kelsey Mitchell and look at this shot y'all look at this shot this is beautiful she is cooking Kelsey Mitchell is cooking I know Indie lost I know you don't have to go writing typing in the comment well they lost the game why are you showing all the good things bro look at the shot this is this is bro this is something that cannot go unseen I made videos about Kelsey Mitchell earlier in this season we all have we've talked about it she was not playing well the 180 with Kelsey Mitchell is crazy she's arguably a top five guard in the league right now that's crazy the way she's playing right now now check out this next play cayan Clark fakes going to the left comes back to the right in that corner and that is a big time shot that is a big time fake a big time move that is a Steph Curry move you'll see Steph Curry do things like that all the time I like this play from Kay Clark because I like seeing her play off ball I like seeing her with the ball in her hands obviously she's a point guard she's the best playmaker in the WNBA but I also like seeing her give it up every once in a while and run around like Steph Curry and come and get it off the ball because when she does that it adds an entire new Dynamic to her game we've seen her do that more and more as we go on now look we're just here to show Kayan Clark and Kelsey Mitchell some love because even though Indie lost even though so much went wrong Caitlyn and Kelsey just put the team on their back man this is a beautiful shot and Caitlyn Clark even though she started off one for eight she just stayed in the game she had this certain kind of calmness about her she wasn't here nor there she was just next play she was just next play I get a turnover next play like it's oh we lost the ball 24 second violation we threw it out of bounds the ref gave us a terrible call you know what next play that is what I like to see from Kaylin Clark cuz it's a mental thing a lot of her failure are mental and I like seeing her have mental fortitude now check out this next play you have cayan Clark getting into the paint and she kicks it out to Kelsey Mitchell that is a big time shot from Kelsey man that is a beautiful shot from Kelsey that is a peer shot the high arc of that shot is really really exceptional once again like I've said look Indiana did a whole lot of things that were wrong in this game they played really bad in a whole lot of areas but you had cayan Clark and Kel Mitchell playing really well and I think Kaylin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell is the Batman and Robin of this team look I would say Leah Boston will be robbing but aiyah Boston is a bit too inconsistent for me I cannot trust her at this point she is up sometimes and she's down sometimes she's not really as consistent as Kelsey Mitchell and cayin Clark have been as of late so I say cayin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell are Batman and Robin and they are playing well so as long as they play well I've got hope for the next game now check out this last and final playoff show because I think this is just one great representation of everything that went wrong for the Indiana Fever you have a turnover on one end by Leah Boston and then that LE leads to a big time three-point shot on the other end by the other team this is terrible this is really terrible and that's a four-point play y'all four-point play kayen Clark fouls here because she's trying to close out because the rotations are off and she's overexerting herself and she fouls there's a whole lot of things we could go over with this game of the Indiana Fever playing terrible but it is just one game and look they have been playing really well as of late and I like to see the good habits follow into this game we saw Kaden Clark play well we saw Kelsey Mitchell play well we saw back door Cuts we saw Lexi hle make a few three in the fourth quarter there were some good things that happened in this game and I think they offset some of the bad things even though they lost I mean a loss is a loss you lose you lost so you know it's a failure but at the end of the day you did some good things either way this where we're going to end off this video I hope you guys enjoyed I certainly did Kaylin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell play really well we just want to show them some love because they're the reason we're watching in the first place I mean caylin Clark is the main reason we're watching but Kelsey Mitchell has made us stay along for the ride and look they played well they're improving game by game they even improved in this game game and so that's something we can be happy about they lost the game but we're not expecting them to win a championship first year I know from the last few games it seem like the Indiana Fever are about to like really contend but hey Caden Clark's a rookie this is a new team we don't have to
