2024 Fantasy Football Talking Points: Does Samaje Perine’s Arrival Downgrade Isiah Pacheco At All?

so what is the signing of Sam Pine to the Kansas City Chiefs due to the fantasy value of Isaiah Pacho it's the fantasy sports B hit that subscribe button guys listen so this didn't get a lot of attention on uh today Wednesday but uh veteran pass catching back because that's really what he's known for S per rine signs with the Kansas City Chiefs and so there there is a fantasy uh ramification to this that's worth discussing and primarily it's that uh perine will be filling the Jerick McKinnon role which has been a semi-of role in PPR leagues over the last couple of years and here's the thing too so as somebody who's a big booster of Isaiah peo part of the allore for Pacho this year not only coming off a really good 2023 season was that McKinnon was no longer in the picture I.E stealing third down carries stealing third down receptions we the the the thinking was now that it was just going to be all PCO right Clyde Edwards hair was not much of a threat to him um but now we have this so perine coming aboard is a significant thing he hit the 50 catch Mark last year on a really bad Denver team and the Chiefs obviously they still want that role that mckin and roll on this offense McKinnon kind of aged out of B perine still effective catching the football this undoubtedly will will decline P's uh receiving upside I don't I think 50 catches is now out of the equation I think we dial that back to 40 um I this does have me putting Josh Jacobs firmly ahead of Isaiah Pacho in drafts uh this season where I had them versed prior to that um and certainly Travis CN definitely ahead of Isaiah Pacho but even the flip side to in Denver is that this gives javante Williams more leash right I mean s perine is another guy out of the way I mean a g is still there and um you know you just Jamal Williams is um excuse me javante Williams is certainly not a sure thing but um at least for Isaiah Peko this is a uh a small but not an insignificant knock on his fantasy value um but I still really do like peo but we have to take into consideration that the receptions are going to fall by the uh by just a little bit at least all right guys hit that subscribe button more videos coming soon uh so stay tuned
