never has there been a finer example of getting woke equals going broke as firewalk Studios is now planning to shut its game Concord down completely as of September 6th and they're also going to be offering everybody refunds this is a story that I absolutely had to share with you all today funny enough I was not even supposed to make a video today because as of this very moment half of my mouth is numb from my visit to the dentist so I probably sound like a complete dork but this story is far too important not to share with you all so here here I am hello so check this out we've got it right here on the PlayStation website Concord fans we've been listening closely to your feedback since the launch of Concord on PlayStation 5 and PC and want to thank everyone who has joined the journey aboard the North Star your support and the passionate community that has grown around the game has meant the world to us here's my question who is firewalk Studios talking to your support in the passionate community that has grown what community has grown exactly they wouldn't happen to be referring to the the people who are playing on PlayStation and steam would they because on Steam they have a reduced player count and it's been diminishing as the days go by getting lower and lower I think at one point they were in the double digits they must be talking about all of the shills that defend them all day long on X because everywhere else this community does not exist at all so let's continue to read this however while many qualities of the experience resonated with players we also recognize that other aspects of the game and our initial launch didn't land the way we intended oh yes how about those pronouns that you put on every single character including a robot that makes absolutely zero sense perhaps that was one of the aspects of the game that they feel did not land properly in fact I'd say that that was one of the things that kicked off the animosity that people feel towards this game Concord is a game not made for the general populace of Gamers it's made for a very Niche group of people that did not even show up at the end of the day this game is an absolute disaster 100% % but they say therefore at this time we have decided to take the game offline beginning September 6 2024 and explore options including those that will better reach our players what kind of options like laying off your own people shutting your studio down maybe making a video game that people actually want to play that does not have a bunch of nonsense in it such as transsexual characters and pronouns or racism for that matter I don't know maybe you guys could go back to the drawing board and really think about what you should do next because as of this moment your game is a complete failure and many players out there are not supporting you as you claim while we determine the best path ahead Concord sales will cease immediately so they're not going to sell it anymore and we will begin to offer a full refund for all Gamers who have purchased the game for PS5 or PC so they're not just trying to maintain their Community I'm assuming that they're giving full refunds out because there are so little people playing that they just cannot maintain the game and the servers there just aren't enough people to play so so firewalk Studios feels that people are just wasting their time owning the game and actually trying to find a match they just can't find matches firewalk is like all right never mind just give us the game back that's insane I mean they did not sell that many copies in the first place so to be put in this position after only 2 weeks this is probably one of the biggest gaming disasters in gaming history not even dustborne was this bad if you recall this is a Sony exclusive and it was on their front page on the PlayStation stateof play video for millions of people to see and they couldn't even break 700 players they couldn't even break a th000 and now they're in the double digits maybe breaking a 100 and yes everybody is melting down over this they say if you purchase the game for PlayStation 5 from the PlayStation store or Playstation direct a refund will be issued back to your original payment method customers who purchased from other digital storefronts will also be refunded more information about refunds from Steam and epic can be found below this is exactly what Gamers have been talking about and this is is exactly what I have been talking about this is what happens when you vote with your wallet hands down when you vote with your wallet the gaming companies can see the immediate effects people did not buy this game not even the people that they were trying to cater to of which I'm sure that there are more than at least 100 to 700 of these people they're trying to cater to those people did not even show up to play it so the people they hated didn't show up to play it and the people they loved didn't show up to play it what does that tell you about this game it tells you that 8 years and millions of dollars were a complete waste of time and resources for everybody involved and firewalk Studios have taken an opportunity and completely botched it they talk about how they're going to refund it on the Epic gam store and other retailer refunds and they say once refunded players will no longer have access to the game so you can't play it all right once these refunds are finished you will no longer be able to access this game all of this hard work down the drain will keep you updated and thank you again to is a sad day for you and for the media who were defending this game for weeks and weeks on end I applaud you I hope it was worth the time and effort because it ended up amounting to absolutely nothing top they say that they hate it they can't stand it they cannot fathom the thoughts that are going through their minds right now how dare these other Gamers get a win when I have been attacking them this entire time what is wrong with these people can they not have a conversation with the people that disagree with them apparently not these people are melting down on internet I can't even imagine how many other people who've been attacking gamers are reacting to this I imagine it's not very good honestly what did firewalk Studios expect when they're pushing trans characters pronouns in their games racism in the storylines of the cutscenes that they add every week what did they expect would happen PlayStation's latest agop game Concord officially confirms that baz is transgender so whoever you're looking at right now is actually a dude and not only is that true in the video game it is also true in real life as well as per cutus now it all makes sense pointing out an article that was video game about pronouns I mean honestly they have to be the first at everything it's no longer about bringing quality to your customer base it's about bringing ideology and if you can't have ideology in your game and people don't accept it then that game might as well not even exist and that looks to be exactly where this game is headed and here's a little call back to how much this game actually made and how many copies they actually sold Concord is estimated to have sold around 25,000 copies that's an insane number right no it's actually almost nothing at all it's barely the population of a town 10,000 copies on Steam 15,000 copies on Playstation NPD claims that low awareness contributed toward poor sales this will go down as the biggest bomb in PlayStation history awareness has nothing to do with the poor sales jves says the developers made the game for the vocal minority of Twitter and refused to listen to criticism and that's what I feel that firewalk Studios and Playstation are doing it I don't feel like they're talking to their actual Community who played this game I feel like they made this post on PlayStation and couldn't wait to get it to X because the only people in this world who support this game are people who don't even play it who sit on Twitter all day long and attack anti-woke YouTubers for disliking something those are the types of people that are defending this game and those same people who are hypocrites by the way are defending this game and then not going to play it they're not supporting this game as much as they think that they're doing and everybody else can see their BS how are you going to go online and get 29,000 likes on a post about Concord and how much you love it and how much people should support it and then have no turnout from that tweet that you make it really is insane how people are going out of their way to completely avoid this game at every waking opportunity and now we're seeing the result of people choosing to vote with their wallets we're seeing the result of Gamers taking a stand and saying no Sony we don't want your stupid pronoun slot give us a game that is actually fun that we can play for a long time and enjoy I remember playing the beta for like 3 hours I thought that the game play was okay but I could not see this game lasting a long time and I've made the call before that this game would be a complete disaster because how can you make a live service game with no players function over a long-term period you really cannot because players keep that game alive and without players you can't have matches and without matches you can't have a game and without a game you've got nothing and nothing is what the people who pre-ordered and purchased this game are going to get after they are finished with their refunds now I do want to clarify that the game's failure cannot be entirely put onto the fact that it's a woke ideology game or that it's pushing Dei in some way it's also the timing and the pricing this game came out at a time when other games that were far more popular and anticipated were competing against it and so it was fighting a losing battle right from the start also the game Market is already saturated with so many OverWatch clones that this game coming out cannot Poss Poss L impress the people that have already spread out too thin across other OverWatch type titles now the Dei of course was the icing on the cake and the responses from some of the people who worked for firewalk Studios against Gamers did not help their cause one bit now they have every right to say that they're proud of working on this game but why would you be proud of a game that flopped after only 2 weeks why would you be proud of 8 years of development and over a hundred maybe even $200 million only to have absolutely Z zero people play it even though you're backed by one of the biggest Publishers in the industry I would not personally be proud of that project especially when that project is pushing an agenda which completely diminishes whatever genuine perception you were hoping to accomplish with other people that saw your game we are going to see some of the most glorious meltdowns the gaming industry has ever witnessed and I am here for it let me tell you what is people have insulted us they have attacked us they've made a bunch of false claims about Gamers and they're attacking normal everyday people their employees are attacking people and saying well I'm proud and you're just bigoted at the end of the day gaming is a business and if you want your business to thrive you're going to have to push out products that your customers are on board with if you don't this is going to be the result I mean what more can be said just as I expected Stella says my heart breaks for firewalk Studios the fact that it wasn't even given at least 6 months to properly sit through a season and adjust as a proper live service game is insane to me is it really though it's very clear PlayStation didn't believe in this from the start and failed to support it well if they didn't believe in it then why did they put it on the front page of their PlayStation state of play video that everybody saw millions of people watched it and then millions of people defended this game on X so what excuse does anybody have all these people who shilled for it didn't even bother to buy it or play it and Playstation put it on their front page so they clearly cared about it in some way or they at least really wanted to push it out to people even if they didn't really believe it but no one can really make that deduction since Sony was pining for this game for months and months sometimes I feel like these people are really delusional look TBO actually scared of a president here I'd be shocked if this comes back even free to play and I doubt that it'll even come back as free to play they say they're going to explore other options but I think it's safe to say that the interest for this game was murdered a while back and has not recovered since then they say are we just going to allow companies to throw 8 years of work chasing trends at publisher behest in the dirt after a week because it didn't perform yes if people aren't buying your product then don't keep it on the market honestly it's a smart move then what even more layoffs in an industry ravaged by it yes absolutely the people who are actually trying to make video games that people enjoy those people should stay the pr managers pretending to be Gamers who want to push a bunch of Dei nonsense those people need to be weeded out and they need to be removed from the industry because they're not doing doing the industry any favors and you people who are defending it every
