Broncos Reveal Uniform Schedule for 2024 NFL Season| NFL NEWS!

there only four words this one's for [Music] John this one's for Pat [Music] [Music] ladies and gentlemen welcome to a special edition of NFL with Kyle for the first time in the 2024 year we know what uniforms the Broncos are going to be wearing why does this matter well for a couple reasons one the new uh throwback uniforms highly anticipated we just want to know um I talked about this in several of my interviews that you can find uh on interview interviewing Broncos Country um but most people got it right they said it was going to be against the Raiders at home and some people that didn't say that said that it was going to be against Kansas City at home well they're both right because the Broncos have revealed these uniforms and we're going to go through it right now let me just share my screen really quick present arms share screen and here we go with the Broncos and their uniform schedule so this is what we're going to be going through today and Bill in the chat I'm on time for once uh happy to have you in here bill so these I wish I could kind of slow you into it but I guess I'm just going to go through it uh this way so as you can see here the Broncos and you will also be getting refresher if you maybe don't remember the Broncos uh schedule but week one they're playing Seattle in Seattle uh and they're going to be wearing their white uniforms which is no surprise most teams wear their white uniforms uh on the road and they wear their colorful uniform at home but what's different about it is that the Broncos after playing this uh the the Seahawks they come home for their home opener a game that I'm going to be going to and they decide that they're going to wear their white uniforms again interesting decision right so they're going to wear their white uniforms back to back and then week three they go to Tampa Bay okay so the the week three game in Tampa Bay the Broncos are wearing their Orange um which is really interesting right because that's kind of back backwards so the Way It Was Written the Broncos will down their sunset orange jerseys for the first time in a week three Road meeting with the bucks so the Broncos going white white then finally wearing their their orange sunsets on the road and then of course week four they go and play Nathaniel Hackett and the Broncos are going to be wearing their white jerseys again so three of the first four games of the Season whether at home or on the road are going to be white uniforms why that doesn't seem super exciting but it actually lines up for a much anticipated week five matchup at home against the Raiders rocking their throwback uniforms I know I ordered mine in the mail and it's going to I don't know when it's going to get here to be honest but I ordered it uh August 3rd and I can't wait for it and then week eight the Broncos are going to be wearing their orange jerseys week nine Shawn Payton returns to New Orleans uh that's going to be a good game Shawn Payton returning to the Saints white uniforms as well then week eight which hopefully will be an easy game against the the Panthers the Broncos are at home and they're going to wear their Orange uniforms then they're wearing their white uniforms at Kansas City and then after Kansas City the Broncos will be at home against the Falcons and against the Falcons they we wear their orange and then their white uniforms against the Raiders now here's their blue alternative let me see what they call it week 13 week 13 Monday Night Football matchup with the Browns the team will wear its night Navy alternate jerseys and white helmets for the first time for that Monday Night Football game so the Broncos are going to be looking pretty dope uh I love the white helmets this is the first time you get the white helmets um and I think the white helmets go best with this combo right here so week 13's the Broncos I'm excited to see that then week 15 the Broncos are going to be wearing their orange uniforms at home against the Colts and then they're going to wear their white jerseys in back-to-back weeks against the Chargers and Bengals both of those games will be on the road but then their home closer we get to see those Retro Jerseys one more time the Broncos wear their throwback on week 18 so I will be seeing them in their white jerseys I really wish I would have been able to see them in these throwback jerseys but I'm sure it's going to look amazing when they do it but we're not going to see those until week five I don't know if other teams have also released their uh Jersey schedule maybe you guys can let me know in the comments if they if that's happened or maybe if the Broncos were one of the first to do it but uh I always look forward to knowing what jerseys they're wearing when maybe I'm just a weird fan um but there there it is for you guys straight to the point the Broncos are scheduled to wear its primary orange jerseys against the Buccaneers and home games against the Chargers Panthers Falcons and Colts the team will wear its white jerseys in a home game against the Steelers week two the one I'll be at and then they'll wear it in the road meetings with the Seahawks Jets Saints Ravens Chiefs Raiders Chargers and Bengals so the team is going to announce its full uniform combination with pants and socks during the week of each game so that's as much information as that as we're going to get until uh we are in the week of that game Bill said see this is what sucks you only get to see the blue ones once and I only get to see the red ones on the first game of the year and then never again that does suck I I don't understand why they can't just give the fans what they want I was gonna buy one and now I'm like what's the point yeah well it's still awesome you know I mean you don't have to be wearing ing the the same Jersey you know that they're wearing on Sunday I get your point but the Broncos only play two games in these uniforms but maybe it's a little different because these uniforms are what the Broncos used to wear all the time so it's it's a throwback jersey it might be a little different than just buying uh say the Broncos um had an alternate jersey alternative Jersey that they could wear once a year I probably wouldn't buy that if it wasn't a throwback so we are going to get into some NFL news and then I'm going to look at the preseason power rankings so of course yesterday we talked about Brandon auk and everything that's been going on with with him and his status is unchanged from what we talked about last night okay uh despite Rumblings that he might soon be traded the 49ers wide receiver Brandon iuk showed up to the team facility per usual today uh a day after it was reported that iuk was more likely to be traded than remaining on the squad which is what we talked about yesterday uh there's still hope that iuk will remain on the team but it does seem like there's a lot of Buzz heating up from other teams you're hearing Steeler fans say um this deal is going to get done mark my words you got Commander fans feeling really good about it you hear that the Patriots have been in trade talks with Brandon iuk and the real question is will any of those teams be willing to give up what the 49ers want for Brandon iuk now here's the part of football that I don't understand let's say the 49ers say we're not trading him for less than a first round pick period and they hang up the phone and the teams let's say all the teams get together and they're like look we like Brandon auk we like him a lot but if we're going to use a first round pick on him why not just draft Travis Hunter with our first round pick next year he'll be on a rookie contract um we won't have to pay him so and then we get to keep our first round pick I mean what if no team is willing to give the 49ers a first round pick they're just not it I mean sorry maybe for Justin Jefferson Jamar Chase or CD lamb that's pretty much it we're not giving a first round pick out to Brandon iuk I don't know if a team would but let's just say for the sake of this conversation that every team does not want to do it what does Brandon iuk then do he can hold out that could cost him a lot of money um but I mean the 49ers could just I don't know I I I don't know that's why I'm bringing this up like if I'm Kyle Shanahan and no one wants to give me a first it's not like I'm just going to be like all right nobody wants you let me pay you a record-breaking contract because it's reported that he wants the kind of money that Tyreek kill and other guys are getting and yeah maybe some people could back that up I think Brandon iuk is a hell of a ball player I think he makes any team really good and he's actually been the centerpiece of the 49ers but things are getting really weird with him being up for a contract because he doesn't feel like cidi lamb or Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson I would put him in a tier underneath that's still a damn good wide receiver um I mean like Amari Cooper right Amari Cooper is the number one wide receiver on his team he's consistently been undervalued underappreciated and he should be paid like somebody like that he's only 30 years old but Brandon iuk wants this record breaking money so I just I don't understand where this is headed because the 49ers are like not only do we not want to do that we can't do that we can't I'm sorry you know how good our team is and by the way Brock pie hasn't been paid yet somebody that's probably going to be the first quarterback to make $60 million a year so yeah as a GM you have a responsibility to have the foresight to make the right decisions on players and paying Brandon iuk an absurd amount of money is probably not on the list same way that the Chiefs let Tyreek Hill go get his bag in Miami how many Super Bowls has the Dolphins won in that time frame because I know the Chiefs have won two this is just the way the NFL goes when you have guys on your team like Chris Jones and Travis Kelce or that's the Chiefs George KD or Nick Bosa and you're paying your quarterback top dollar I mean we've we've exhausted in a lot of our resources financially on these players so Brandon iuk sits out he gets fined but he's also not playing with the 49ers can he just do that all season sit on the bench and hold out um and never play because I I think the 49ers are probably still in a position here where they hold all the Leverage and this is what I haven't been seeing a lot of people talk about but the 49ers hold all the leverage because at the end of the day they have to agree to the trade so if the 49ers really say you know I want a first a third and a fifth for Brandon iuk um I could see a scenario where they're not willing to get rid of him for a third even if he's not going to play because of principle this is similar to what happened with Tre Lance like we've seen this happen before where the 49ers are like no we're not going to just cut him we're not just going to give him away because he's going to hold out we're not going to just settle for a third round pick because well he's not going to play for us anyway might as well get a third round pick because they know that they are implementing a culture where players don't have power over the the franchise over John Lynch over Kyle Shanahan the 49ers have made it pretty clear uh the way they handle business so I do think if there were a team that would not settle for anything less whether Brandon iuk plays or doesn't play this is the team in a day after it was reported that iuk was more likely to be traded then remain with the 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was forced to answer another round of questions concerning the white out and he delivered a mildly optimistic response there's still hope iuk remains with the team just don't expect a rush to a resolution for the 49ers who are dealing with an injury right now to Christian mcaffrey who is going to miss a couple of weeks of practice isn't totally unlikely to play in the pre-season I don't think he would have played in the preseason regardless but what is really going on with McCaffrey's CF training and how serious is it is really important especially because natur CMC is going to be asked to carry a heavier load should iuk not get his situation settled with the 49ers uh they asked Shanahan today if the matter needed to be addressed soon and shanan said no I mean you want it to be resolved badly but this stuff takes time every day I hope it gets resolved but I have no timetable on it and it didn't surprise me coming into this I'm about to coach our team getting them ready for week one and hopefully it'll get resolved sooner rather than later Shanahan uh refused to get into the specifics of the situation when the reporters Pride for more information but he did add that nothing has changed effectively refuting all the rumors that iuk who has been a Holden through all of Camp was all but guaranteed to be heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers via trade yeah I mean he poured cold water over that whole scenario and that scenario was not only did not only receive cold water from shanam but it was debunked by Tom peliso and Mike garao on Monday so Shanahan maintained on Tuesday that there's a scenario for anything so I don't want to rule anything out but uh it's pretty clear uh to anybody looking at this that the two sides aren't on great terms okay uh just reading Shanahan's response to that question of whether the 49ers were better off without iuk was weird I didn't read it to you so let me tell you what it says Brandon is a great player so it's real hard to be better when you lose a great player shanan said so we got to look at anything we've got uh we've got to understand the situation we're in what looks like and that does take time hopefully hopefully it'll all work out best for him and best for us in the long run the unfortunate news on Tuesday didn't end with the ongoing iuk uh battle seeming like it was making any progress at least in my opinion uh the the this whole scenario is also probably affecting Ricky psol or piol the wide receiver they drafted uh out of Florida and maybe they had a little bit of uh a birie on their shoulder kind of telling them about this maybe that's why Ricky peol was drafted as high as he was I believe he was in the first round um if not the very beginning of the second I think it was a first round pick so the 49ers were definitely planning uh it seems like for the worst and that's what great teams do but even Ricky piol aggravated a shoulder injury in practice so Trent Williams right now also remains a hold out uh that Situation's largely been overshadowed by this whole Brandon iuk thing but get don't get it twisted like iuk has got to be mad at Trent Williams like bro I was gonna get my money there's no way that iuk is going to get paid before Trent Williams Trent Williams is going to get paid okay um and it just seems unlikely that iuk is going to get paid but man the 49ers as good as they are this is ultimately the hardest part of keeping a roster together you got too many good players the the roosters have come home to Crow this is the uh this was the unavoidable road that the 49ers were headed down by having the type of players that they have have so I mean yes if this whole team gets back on the field there are legitimate Super Bowl expectations but guys this is not June anymore this is not April anymore we are in the preseason we are in August week one is being game planned for right now and it does seem that the 49ers are like a couple months behind schedule with all of this stuff um and hopefully it doesn't roll into the regular season if you're a 49ers fan and bill says that he's been following the whole thing and and he said that iik wants to go to the Steelers why I have no idea but they can afford him as they have enough cap space it's just the picks yeah and also I mean it really depends uh what what what deal is Justin fields on with the Jamie could you look that up for me right now could you verify the deal because let's say they you know Russ I know he's on the one-year minimum let's say that they're gonna pay iuk well you almost have to say okay well then we have to we're GNA pay a wide receiver that much money then we're banking on Justin fields on a friendly contract so I'm curious to know what is his deal is a one-year deal is it a two a three um that's another thing that they could do but I I just don't know um and Bill said agreed on pry Dak will get a bag before he's even eligible for a new contract you can't negotiate with rookies until their third year Dak will get a deal before then yeah that is true I got them from Rich Eisen the contract information okay okay um maybe I'm just getting different info than you no no no no um we got the same info I actually don't have any info I'm just taking your word for it um I'm just saying logically that the the Steelers are in a situation where they can afford iuk if they want to because the scenario that they're in is a Russell Wilson is going to work I don't think that's going to happen B Justin Fields takes over as the starting quarterback okay well maybe you can give him like a Daniel Jones type contract if he's I mean if he's like amazing then they're going to be screwed but let's be real Justin Fields isn't going to make the biggest step of his career um like one of the historic steps he might be like good enough to get a three foure deal but I think that's kind of the ceiling for this year so if he does get that type of deal I don't think it's going to be 55 million a year I think it's going to be 40 million a year and something like that and maybe that's what they're thinking and if Justin Fields doesn't work out then you're drafting a rookie quarterback and then you don't have to worry about money as well so the the 40 the all or the Steelers all their options at the quarterback position kind of leave the door open for someone like Brandon auk to get paid if there was a brock py Loom around the corner you wouldn't feel the same way hence the reason the 49ers haven't paid iuk so uh for a players explosive and as Dynamic and essential to the 49ers and their whole operation um that the mcaffrey news is really really bad um you're wondering if mcaffrey is going to be able to play week one you're wondering if Brandon iuk will be there last year Trent Williams missed three games and they lost every one of them the 49ers are not hitting the panic button they're coached well but this is a really really bad sign of things to come for a team that their main goal is winning a Super Bowl and they're one of the teams that legitimately could do it um but not not starting the season like this it doesn't give you the good feeling inside that they're going to get it done it seemed like if they couldn't get it done you know the first three Super Bowls Kyle Shanahan gets to like what makes you think they're going to get there without all their stars um okay so like I said we're going to talk about the pre-season uh Power Rankings which I'm really excited about because well I guess I'm not excited about it because the Broncos are going to be at the very bottom probably 31 I I'm so sick of but this is the NFL's Power Rankings okay uh we're going to talk about the biggest mover as preseason near and are the Bears the real deal so last time we did the power rankings it was late April a final layer of paint was still drying on the 2024 draft so much has happened since then um and now we're going to get into a little shifting from the last Power Rankings camps are in full swing the preseason is now upon us which means our next 27 weekends are pretty well spoken for game-wise our rankings are sure to be tweaked a bit more prior to week one based on what happens in those preseason games and this year perhaps more so than that so here we go okay this is the power rankings I'm going to tell you yay or nay on some of these uh not all of them just the ones that I think are important to bring up that's crazy really quick uh Justin fields's one-year contract worth $3 million is really interesting because Jared stinum was even being paid $10 million as a backup so that that is a very small amount of money for Justin Fields considering where he was drafted in the upside all right Kansas City Chiefs are the number one team on the power rankings of course they won the Super Bowl uh the receiver group was the real issue for most of the last season now they have Hollywood Brown and Xavier worthy who could both play even more pronounced roles if Rashid Rice's uh discipline comes at some point um but the focus on offense appears to be squarely on the left tackle position where rookie second drowner Kingsley sutia appears to be getting every chance to win the starting role over waya Morris who had a few starts down the stretch last week of course Patrick momes can offset almost any problem that the Chiefs have therefore the Chiefs are at one they're the defending back-to-back Super Bowl champions okay the only problem I have with using last year's best team as a measure of this year is there's like 25% turnover rate on the roster I mean it's just a totally different team winning a Super Bowl back to to back is really difficult because you have to win with two completely different teams sure you got the pieces there but if we're going to look at the 2024 Power Rankings I almost it was like the top 100 Tyreek Hill at one Mahomes at four what the hell is that okay if we're GNA get so scope locked on last season that we use it to determine where teams are at this season I think we've really missed the point of this whole exercise however Kansas City being number one I will accept because they have Patrick Mahomes um it's just like Tom Brady could you know with the Patriots could have always been at one whether they won the Super Bowl or not now number two is the team we just talked about the 49ers who are in a really bad situation I won't get into all of that but I would say uh right now the 49ers at number two seems a little generous considering everything going on with maccaffrey getting tweaked hopefully that does not linger knock on wood wherever you may find it but hopefully that doesn't linger into football especially if you got him on your fantasy team um I just don't know if I'd have the 49ers this high right now M number two team um call me crazy but I think it would have to be the Lions I think the lions are the second best team in the NFL right now and excuse me for one second all right I think you got to have the Lions at number three but they don't they have the Baltimore Ravens at three Lamar Jackson MVP last year they add Derk Henry um some quality pass catchers uh I wouldn't personally I wouldn't have him there I'm sorry I mean the 40 the like the Detroit Lions lost the NFC Championship but the Ravens didn't show up to the AFC Championship the Lions collapsed but at least they had a 17-point lead they at least showed up you know they had a their worst third quarter of the entire year but I don't know I mean the 49ers were a juggernaut and the n and the lions they were up on him honestly I would have the Lions at two and I would have the 49ers at three but not to get it twisted they got Chiefs one ners two Ravens Three Lions four okay then they have the Eagles at five which I can actually get down with this I can get jiggy with this um a lot of people including myself expecting a really strong Seasons uh season from Jaylen Herz uh I think they replace her coordinators I like the Kellen Moore higher um but most importantly they once again destroyed the draft in the best way possible they revamped their entire passing defense I expect J uh Jaylen Carter to make a big step Nolan Smith to get more involved like I think the 49ers Jaylen Herz was playing injured for a lot of last season I think you're going to see the 2022 version of Jaylen Herz and I think the Eagles will be back in significant moments next year and number six they have the Houston Texans okay okay yes I agree um the the rookie they drafted Kamari lter uh there's a lot of good news coming out of camp that he's going to work out there's also been some bad news with Deno atrey being suspended for the first six games if there's a silver lining it's that those six games could look like the easiest patch of a pretty challenging schedule yet there are some key swing games during the initial stretch including the Bears week two and like I said that week two game with the Bears that's really important because the Bears traded the first overall pick to the Panthers and they ended up getting DJ Moore and now Caleb Williams but if they would have held on to that they could have had CJ strad so it's going to be an important game but like I said ever since they acquired Stefan Diggs I think this team has been elevated the Super Bowl status and I picked them to go to the Super Bowl in the AFC I think there's another team I would have a lot higher on my list that's not even close um we'll get there at number seven the Buffalo Bills okay um no no I'm sorry um Josh Allen's great I get all that I think Dalton can Kate is GNA be the biggest jump of any tight end this year I think he's going to lead the NFL in receiving yards I like Keon Coleman I I think the bills will be fine but there is still a scenario that Josh Allen um misses Diggs a little more um there's still questions all over their defense and the depth on offense is worrisome I I I don't see the Buffalo Bill sinking really fast and just disappearing I think Josh Allen will keep him afloat but having a quarterback that will keep your nose above water is not necessarily a top 10 team um now I would go with the Packers probably here the way the Packers played um this team is amazing they have the Packers at eight there's an interesting debate out there about the wisdom of P Jordan love now making him one of the highest paid quarterbacks after about half a season's worth of top tier production uh like I said I think it's going to work out personally but love can shift that narrative really quickly with a 2024 season that mirrors the second half of last year the Packers in my opinion Remain the biggest threat to the Lions the biggest threat to the Bears if the Bears want to make a huge step uh the Vikings are in a transition period so I think Green Bay's defense could dictate how far the team ultimately goes they did revamp with Boston College's head coach as their defensive coordinator so I like the direction the Packers are headed in um it seems like they just got going late last year the Cincinnati Bengals at number nine Jamar Chase has not been practicing as his contracts situation remains unsolved uh but his absence isn't scaring the writer if the Bengals can afford that fancy new Taj Mahal of a locker room then there's certainly enough money in the banana in the banana stand to pay Chase appropriately especially with t Higgins entering what will all will certainly be his last year promise you that um but still they're a really dangerous team when Joe burough is healthy Jamar Chase and T Higgins are both going to be out there they've added a lot of U offensive line pieces so there's been a lot of Buzz too about Audrey loiv Vias early in Camp so the Bengals could be gearing up for a three-headed monster on on the receiving end bill says and the lions are pissed about it you should see the fights breaking out at join practices o where are you seeing that is that on Hard Knocks or is that an X at number 10 this is uh I I don't know about this one the Dallas Cowboys okay last year the writer picked the Cowboys to make the Super Bowl through two games the defense looked incredible and then Trevon Diggs suffered a season ending injury and things went a little sideways for the unit at times um but they still won 12 games they still won 12 games Dak Prescott still plays at a high level Mike McCarthy still a great coach um the reason I have a hard time about it is just a lack of weapons the Dallas Cowboys have a lack of weapons you got CD lamb then you're asking Brandon Cooks to do a lot okay I just don't know if he has that in him or if he can stay healthy for a full season Dallas uh they have the but at the same time it's like well they didn't have a ton of weapons last year but they lost Michael Gallop okay uh I just don't know how the Cowboys are going to be able to win 12 games this year uh I really don't so I think the Dallas cowys could implode a little bit and you know what's crazy is people are going to blame Dak and this is the problem with playing in a big Market Market when you play in a small Market um you can kind of hide flaws right but when a major market like the Dallas Cowboys the smallest mistake I mean it's all over the news it makes headlines like Trevor Lawrence can make a couple mistakes in Jacksonville and people move on really quick okay that's not the way the Cowboys are but you know going in that the Cowboys did no favors to Dak after Jerry Jones said we're going all in he didn't do anything so I I worry about I worry about the Cowboys not personally but speaking just about the the trajectory of their season if you want them to win a lot of games or get to the Super Bowl I just don't feel like this is the year so I would I mean honestly I would have the Jets at number 10 and at number 11 the Miami Dolphins come in okay now Weaver is the defensive coordinator Vic vanio was pretty vocal about not being able to get the team to focus and now he's with the eagles which makes the Eagles better immediately I mean especially with all those draft picks watch out for the Eagles defense this year um but there's been a lot of turnover on Miami's depth chart the pass rush secondary could be good overall but this team's not going to get healthy you know until later in the season so I I don't know about having them here at 11 I think it's a fair spot I'll I'll say it that way Cleveland Browns coming at number 12 oh that's spicy okay DeShaun Watson uh you're going to need to see better play from him but if he I mean he's already practicing if he's good to go Jerry Judy is playing really good you're going to have consistency with Amari Cooper I liked what I saw out of En joku when's Nick chub getting back question mark but overall this team had the best defense last year I have no problem with the with the Browns being at 12 oh no way they have the Steelers over the Jets get the hell out of here you guys are high off of your ass I'm sorry this Steelers over the Jets is ridiculous um he does say that the Steelers were difficult for him to project heading into the season um but I don't know I I I don't know the the argument is that Arthur Smith and Mike Tomlin um were Tangled in a suboptimal QB webs a year ago and though this year's room is more talented there's no guarantees that they get this thing entire right that doesn't sound like what's good um they put the sealers at 13 and then they use their whole paragraph just explaining why the Steelers shouldn't be at 13 um are the rest of the sporting pieces strong enough for Pittsburgh to withstand more offensive questions probably not they're not going to win the division they're in the most difficult division um I I can't believe the Steelers are at 13 over the ram over the Jets now think about that over the Jets weird okay at number 14 you have the Rams I would have the the the Jets all the way at 10 we haven't even gotten to the Jets yet the depth that corner worries me on the defensive side of the ball you lose Aaron Donald but I like the additions of um uh bra uh Braden fist and um Jared verse I like Matthew Stafford healthy I like Cooper cup and pukaa I love this team I really do I think they're going to be a really dangerous team if you're not predicting them to go to the playoffs predict them to go to the playoffs this is a playoff team they're going to win probably double digit games this year the Rams might even be ranked a little too low at 4 14 at number 15 we finally see the Jets come into the power rankings which begs the question why the hell are the Jets considered a middle team right 32 teams were in the very middle of the league that's what the Jets are um okay tell me why okay well he said putting the Jets here is something of a preemptive move mixed with a correction I had them too low in the spring thus they moved up and I believe there's a chance if Rogers feels good and he's on the same page with his receivers and the Run game hums like I think it will that the Jets will start the season cooking with gas even with a tough opener against the 49ers that if I had to tell you right now who I'm taking it's the Jets the Jets don't have the same stuff coming out of New York that's coming out of San Francisco so um I think the power rankings are going to change dramatically when the number 15 team beats the number two team um although it will be a tough game but you're going to see a major shakeup when that happens um the writer says if you want to label me as a irrational or a Jets hater I get it but I've long maintained that the league is more fun uh more of a fun place when teams such as the Jets are winning in this season does present an opportunity to cleanse quite a bit from last year's stink yeah I don't know about that what do you guys think about that the Jets at 15 weird right oh it just got weirder it just got weird the Chargers okay okay I can get with the hiring of uh harva but there's a lot of work to do on this team and I do think the Chargers are going to be good right away um I'm just surprised that it's being acknowledged from the outside media I mean this is a team with DJ CH Josh Palmer and lad makoni this is a team that lost all of their significant weapons um this is a team that is banking on Quinton Johnson to step up to the plate after a very disappointing rookie year this is a division that is with the Chiefs um now I think it's going to work out but it may take more than a year the Chargers could be a little lower um let me know what you guys think about that at 17 the Jaguars and the Jaguars I got no problem I've seen some Power Rankings where the Jags were in the 19s uh 20 even a 20 um I I think the Jaguars are going to be a lot better than people think okay they were still an eight and3 team at one point last year yes there was injuries yes Trevor Lawrence was playing um with one leg it seemed like but they've upgraded on the offense and the defensive lines they have several young players capable of emerging Kelvin Ridley just never was on the same page and perhaps it was that one year back after being suspended that he just needed to get his feet wet but the one thing that's going against the Jags is their early season schedule is an absolute nightmare um but I still think after paying Trevor Lawrence the Jaguars are going to be a better than average team I think they might be too low here and what amazing ma change for the Chicago Bears okay um the Chicago Bears come in at 18 uh how good is Caleb Williams going to be we don't know which makes this an interesting ranking and he goes on to say that he maintains that we all need to be patient with Caleb Williams I could see him starting slowly and Jaden Daniels maybe being a bit better in Washington I predict that I not only could see that I predict it because of his style of play doesn't strike me as the type of quarterback who steps in day one and dominates even if that's the eventual expectation if the defense can carry them though early in the season when the schedule is more manageable the Bears could have playoff upside I think that's very realistic that's the safest prediction right now the Bears win nine games uh which is good enough sometimes to get into the playf what's weird is the Vikings at 19 I'm sorry Vikings are that one team this year that I think is going to go two and 15 right I I think the Vikings might hold the number one pick in next year draft their schedule just go down it and see who you think will win you will go loss loss loss loss loss loss loss I just I don't get it um the writer says that the Vikings are an interesting team that could even finish higher than 19 uh he said he's kind of limbo on them till he gets a better read of the ceiling of their quarterbacks Sam darnold is kind of an interesting story because he has been in the presence of kylo Shanahan which will uh sanctify him for the purple incarnation of Satan um what is he going to look like is he going to have a Ryan tanah Hill type of emergence and if not what about JJ McCarthy somebody that we don't have a ton of information on to be quite Frank and somebody that could easily um be I guess you could sum up JJ McCarthy and his success by being with Jim Harbaugh in a very good system with very good players all around him I'm not saying that I'm going to do that but I am saying that we don't know okay so having him at 19 I think the Vikings are ranked too high here uh they have a lack of cornerback depth as well uh the linebacker group and Rush unit have a chance to wreck havoc Havoc up front I think Kevin oconnell and Brian Flores can coach I'm really fascinated to see what they can if they can navigate their way into a season that's closer to what Minnesota did in 2022 look they don't have Kurt Cousins anymore I'm sorry but your team got a lot worse when Kurt Cousins went to the Falcons there's no way that I have a team like the Vikings over a team like Tampa Bay in what they accomplished last year it looked like Baker Mayfield just got going at the end of the year I mean they've made the playoffs for four straight seasons and Tampa doesn't get any respect but I like the direction Baker Mayfield's headed in I think there's a reason he got a hundred million contract they kept most of their core pieces in place um the the Tampa Bay Buck should definitely be ranked higher the one downside I will say is they have a new offensive coordinator and I'm not huge on Todd BS right um he earned the right to keep his job but um I I think Tampa Bay being at 20 being behind teams like the Vikings and the Bears even the Jags um the Chargers I mean I would have Tampa Bay probably at 16 not 20 Bill said if I say anything bad about the Vikings it will be a Karma thing for game one so I'll refrain that's funny all right the Colts at 21 and interesting um he said Colts fans are accusing him of being a Colts hater and they're entitled to their opinions but he doesn't think it's hating to have some concerns about their wide eyed optimism um Anthony Richardson has the dynamic ability to elevate his team Jonathan Taylor is another year removed from an injury the Colts added Firepower uh including latu latu uh the first defensive player picked off the board thanks to a run on quarterbacks and receivers um he says all that's pretty legit but there's a little finger Crossing required for it all to happen I don't know if this squad is truly exceptional in any one element of the game solid sure but does it have some real juice if Richardson stays healthy yes if either misses talking about latu and Richardson if either misses notable time Richardson more so obviously I'm far encourag the AFC South is better than I think he gets credit for I agree um but I think the Colts are maybe just a smidge toow maybe I would have the Colts above the Vikings and bears so 22 is another really weird one because it's the Falcons and the Falcons have Super Bowl expectations right now um because of Kurt Cousins a strong offensive line Elite Playmakers Kyle pittz um they got um Drake London uh they they have weapons there's another receiver I'm blanking on his name right now but Atlanta the one thing that is bad about them is that they were pretty bad in the Red Zone Atlanta ranked 29th overall in efficiency and ended the year as the only team to convert less than 50% of goal to the goal situations defensively they were playing better than you might remember before Grady Jarrett tore his ACL can Raheem Morris bring this team back and create more sacks and turnovers um what do you guys think about Atlanta being at 22 I think I would have Atlanta above the Vikings uh for sure wow 23 the C Seahawks McDonald must whip into shape a defense that's coming that was coming on last October before melting thereafter it's pretty much a refresh even with plenty of returning pieces the front and the secondary loads have loads of potential if the defense comes together this low ranking will blow up in my face H Seattle Seahawks at 23 uh I mean I don't really have a problem with it the Saints at 24 okay the saints were actually better than their nine and eight records such as their overall plus 75 Point differential and heads scratching three and six Mark in games decided by 8 points or less one counter to those figures is that they faced one of the League's weakest schedules Derek Carr finished 2023 on a mini tear yet it wasn't enough to prevent an offensive coordinator change entering year three at the helm with the sub 500 Mark Dennis Allen I mean Dennis Allen how has that guy kept his job um I think it's a matter of time before danis Allen uh is gone probably the end of this year um but they did make some highly potential High uh reward additions like Chase young so I I don't know I think I think the Saints are too high at 24 I would have them lower and then 25 you have the Raiders okay H we have hit that tier of teams that you just really don't know how they're going to to work but there is a couple exceptions so the Raiders I understand the Raiders being at 25 um they have a true wide receiver they don't really know who their quarterback's going to be though aen oconnell and Gardner mchu we just heard that both of them are going to play an entire quarter in Pre season that'll ultimately determine that but still I mean what's the upside with Gardner muu nine wins um I think 25 is fair 26 is the interesting one because they got the commanders here and I think the commanders are going to be the surprise Team of the Year uh I think the Titans could also be the surprise Team of the Year Jaden Daniels is going to be better than people think um they bring in Austin they have Terry McClaren and Jan doson I I like this team I like them a lot um I think it's going to take a little bit of time but I think Dan Quinn's going to be the guy to do it they have a new defensive minded and player-friendly Coach there's a new energy in the building which is so important right it's one thing to get a new coach it's another thing to have a new buzz in the air they drafted Jaden Daniels The Buzz is real uh the Texans started 0 and2 and three and four as they entered week seven uh on the outside of the playoff picture last season um so just keep in mind how fast things can turn around even if the commanders get off to some kind of slowish start the Arizona Cardinals and this is what's cool these are all the teams down here that really do have the upside to be the surprise Team of the Year we just don't know which one it's going to be okay the commers at 26 the Cardinals at 27 the Titans at 28 okay those three teams I think any given one of them can be in the top 15 by week eight depending on how they start the season and then at 29 you have the Giants okay so Bill your Giants are above my Broncos um hopefully uh you're happy about that and Bill said they have the the commies over us yeah just by the but only by what three rankings so they got the uh no just by two Cardinals and Titans and then Giants um the Giants clearly cast their offseason forward full steam ahead when they decided to give Daniel Jones another shot you can debate the pros and cons of that decision until your Giants blew in the face but my question is what happens if some Rust remains following an injury decimated 2023 Jones Camp has been a mixed bag after early reported struggles he generated some positive press and even threw down the lions in joint practice but still I wonder if Drew lock is on standby I think he is would the Giants even consider making a switch early if things don't start off uh like they wanted to or like they did a year ago You' hope that the offensive line would improve and the receivers could end up being a team strength but with apparent steps backward this offseason at running back secondary and possibly tight end plus with all the Jones worry it's hard to put them any higher than this right now they have a they might have the best defensive line like the fact of the matter is Bill our teams are right now at the very bottom and it sucks but there's only one way to go from here okay and the Broncos are at 30 so the Broncos are one spot behind the Giants the Broncos I I could go on about the disrespect um I really could I could go on and say um how uh how could it be possible that the Broncos are the 30th ranked team and they won eight games last year right they were eight and nine they were in the playoff hunt till New Year's Eve Shawn Payton's in his second year in the system bone Knicks is gonna have every chance to start for the Broncos and get the starting job right out of the gate um like there are plenty of teams that won four games three games B Knicks is the most Pro ready quarterback coming into the league based on starts and the different coordinators he's played with they ask Sean if he's picking up the offense he's like he's yeah bonick he understands the Playbook and we knew that it's why we drafted him he's very very smart the Broncos or offense is going to be about Rhythm timing and they're going to surprise a lot of people if the consensus is that the Broncos are going to win four games next year you guys are in for a surprise when is Shawn Payton ever won four games Shawn Payton proved last year that his floor is about eight wins eight wins might not be a top 10 team or maybe even a top 20 team but 30 seems criminal in my opinion um I think the writer of this article is vastly underestimating this team's potential in in their upside um as much as he says that he respects Shawn Payton's coaching ability the ranking says otherwise and number 31 they have the New England Patriots and Bill said I actually it actually made me happy to hear that Nicks was doing better than May yeah me too me too uh Drake May has reportedly struggled and it's not a shock to anybody because uh he was always a project coming in jacobe Brett is going to hold down the starting job um the offense is concerning I like Jaylen pul he's made some early noise in Camp uh the guy that I've been telling you is going to be really good that was drafted I think in the fifth round is Javon Baker and I'm seeing here that he's made some noise early in Camp I remember I said when I was doing this with Rick when we did the AFC East the division breakdown of the AFC East I said in a couple weeks you will know who Javon Baker is here we are and Javon Baker has made some noise in Camp um he was just way too athletic to not I mean he was on Ed fredman's freak list top 50 just look at look up look him up if you don't know who Javon Baker is out of UCF there are speed in depth questions in the other skill positions hence the reason the Patriots were one of the teams acquiring uh of Brandon iuk Christian baramore was diagnosed with blood clots uh for a long time they uh they could be without him um there's also been cam drama around Matthew on who's practicing but he's seeking a new contract so there's a lot on Gerard Mayo's plate right now I think the Patriots being at 31 is fair they're an entire they have an entire rebuild going on right now uh Drake May is not pro ready that's the difference between Drake May and B knck and Gerard Mayo no offense to him but he's not Shawn Payton either right so so if you had to guess what kind of coach is going to get the most out of a Young quarterback is it going to be someone that was a linebacker or someone that was a quarterback not a trick question and then at 32 we have the Carolina Panthers and Bill you got it you got it right all we can do is prove them wrong look it's being on the mountain top but there is something fun about being all the way down here too and the Panthers are the team that are on the very bottom and it feels like it's become a tradition because I think this team has generally ranked 32 in the last couple years um so Bryce young is the clear and obvious source of a potential Improvement in the team I don't think it's going to happen um personally I like the mve they've made I uh trading Brian Burns is going to hurt the pass rush um but they they did bring in some other players eom ukaonu I tried Jonathan Mingo uh reportedly they started camps on a high note um but I don't know if they did enough to be a true Contender even with the moves that they did make um I know they added um George Pickins as well uh I think that's a good move I feel like they're in the right direction they're adding good players but uh I don't have a problem with Carolina being at 32 personally so those are the power rankings let me know if you guys agree with them if you don't agree with them but uh really interesting stuff Broncos all the way down at 30 Giants at 29 Chiefs at 1 and 49 ERS at number two um and then I just wanted to give uh some quick news ex dolphin offensive lineman Connor Williams who was also a Bronco at one point signs a one-year $6 million deal with the Seahawks um picket this is this is interesting picket um may be losing Q B2 position to Tanner mcke Tanner mcke is getting more reps with the second team and this is what Moore said Tuesday Tanner's doing an awesome job Kenny's doing an awesome job too really two independent things it's not necessarily that they're associated with one another I think both of those guys are having really good camps so something to keep in mind Kenny picket said that change is good well there might be more change coming around the corner um but I was like who is this guy uh who is Tanner mcke I don't believe that I have any idea who he is um so Tanner mcke for those of you that want to know uh played college football at Duke I believe uh PFF actually ranked Tanner mcke as the third best QB in the 2023 draft class very high on Tanner mcke having him right below Bryce young and CJ strad this was an article that came out June 3rd of 2022 uh he went to Stanford not Duke um so this was obviously June in 2023 so a lot changed because he didn't have the kind of year in 2023 to maintain the hype but that's who he is like he's had those expectations Bryce young CJ strad Tanner mcke he lost it but he had it which says a lot about him right a lot of players that you don't know were never predicted to be that good so I I like his chances I really do um I like his chances of getting the qb2 job um the the the speculation surrounding him is that he might be that guy uh for the Steelers um or not the Steelers I'm so used to pick it being a stealer uh um for for the eagles which is important because Jaylen Herz runs a lot he gets a lot of uh I don't want to say a lot of injuries but he gets banged up and picket uh transitioning to a new team a new scheme um trying to grow in a new offensive coordinator system and also having to remove the terminology that you know and the schemes from his past teams I mean he said it himself that that's been the most difficult part of the process so I don't I don't think that would be the craziest thing I really don't and Bill said no more good Eagle players please I don't need it don't worry Bill he won't be on the field you won't see him on the field um but something to just you know little information for you guys um and then the Pats uh head coach Rod Mayo he addresses the Brandon iuk Rumors by saying I know what you got you all want to know one thing I did learn from bill is I don't talk about players on other teams so let me go ahead and say that now I remember as a player I appreciate that I appreciated that the only opinions that mattered were inside the walls so I'm still trying to apply that now going forward and there you go I mean somebody that played for Bill bellich coached with Bill bich now head coaching he has that bill bellich some of that stuff's going to stick including trying to pull information out of him he will not uh give any information and he will be channeling his inner I would call it bill bich but it's Gerard mayo and the latest news and updates from r the league is that kylo Murray will not play in the preseason uh head coach Jonathan Ganon announced Rashad baitman was injured at practice on Monday but it's not serious um Bryce young will not play in Thursday's preseason opener against New England uh Dave canals announced um and Kaden Sterns was released by the Broncos uh our safety out of Texas who I was surprised to hear this and he was claimed by the Panthers who also have um the linebacker I'm blanking name the Broncos had to release one of their linebackers Josie juel there it is so Josie jueles played with Kaden Sterns I think this is a really good fit for him deshun Watson won't play in Saturday's preseason opener vers the Packers jamus Winston however will get the start Elijah moris in concussion protocol siderius Smith has a knee injury but he'll be okay uh after he was forced out of practice on Monday that information came from Kevin stefansky the Dallas Cowboys CD lamb who's currently holding out a training camp and amid contract discussions was placed on the reserve slid not report list this move is a procedural one that frees up a roster spot that's important to know Royce Freeman got a groin injury Duce Von hamstring injury so two running back injuries uh Sam Williams was placed on injured reserve we talked about that that sucks an offensive tackle Tyler gon is sick but he's respected expected to return to practice on Tuesday terion Arnold some people thought was the best corner in this year's draft has cleared concussion protocol and will be returning to practice Emanuel Mo Mosley is out indefinitely with a pectoral injury Kevin zetler shoulder not practicing but it's not longterm and Malcolm Rodriguez Rodrigo is not practicing due to a minor injury um Jordan love will be playing in Saturday's preseason opener there you go tune into the Packers game against the the Browns Christian Watson will be okay after a collision that happened during Monday's practice and Jordan Morgan left practice on Tuesday due to an apparent injury we'll keep you up to date with that um see what else is important pukan nikua has a knee injury and it's considered week to week not good it will not as it but they said it will not affect his availability for the team season opener but that kind of makes it um final that pukan nkua won't play in any of the preseason games Conor mcder is expected to sign with the Rams is he related to Shawn McDermot Jamie can you look that up uh Conor McDermot is an offensive lineman Conor mcdermit he just got signed by the Rams um jacobe Brett will start Thursday's preseason game May will be seeing his first NFL snaps on Thursday as well so that'll be fun to see um Daniel Jones playing in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions is yet to be determined Brian dable said on Tuesday and yes he is an offensive tackle but is he the son of sha McDermot cam Jurgens for the Eagles was seen on the practice field on Tuesday he left practice early yesterday chony Gardner Johnson has a shoulder injury he was not seen at practice the Steelers linebacker Alex heith suffered a groin injury we talked about the 49ers Christian mcaffrey he has a calf string and will likely force him to miss a couple of weeks but it's not considered a long-term injury hopefully Ricky purol aggravated a shoulder injury Elijah Mitchell is dealing with a hamstring so and their punter Mitch wishnowski has not been practicing due to knee knee irritation knee irritation uh Jordan wheh had for the Tampa Bay Bucks has a quad injury he remains out of practice Jaden Daniels will start in Sunday's preseason opener versus the Jets so and Bill's got some information for us his older brother Kevin mcder also played college football at UCLA doesn't say anything about his that okay then yeah if you
