with one of the top quarterbacks and one of the top wide receivers in the country thanks to the University of Arizona they gave us too much access come on quarterback Noah faf and wide receiver Teto mcmiller have been playing football together since 8th grade that's crazy team at caught 10 touchdowns in 2023 while Noah threw for 25 a lot of experts ranked them as the number one tandem in college football here they are quarterback Noah ffid and wide receiver T-Mac we're just trying to like run some plays with the guys yeah but it's windy look at this look how much the wind blows watch watch before I read you some scores and get your feedback on them did you like where you were rated your rankings you feel you should you're were third overall you feel like you should be higher wide receiver oh yeah for sure but it it was good good enough to me 94 awareness what does that even mean you're aware the ball's coming yeah that's a great point we were shooting somewhere where there was over from San Jose State where he was named Mountain West coach of the year and led the Spartans to back-to-back bowl games for the first time since the 80s loved coach loved the wild cats because of Coach here he is coach Brent Brennan it feels like when you come in now because of the portal and and the option for kids to jump out that you have to move into the house and welcome everybody really quickly to get them to stay quicker than ever before because they can do you feel that like as soon as you're hired you have to get here and start cultivating relationships immediately that's exactly what we did um actually right here in this office uh my first day I met the team which was a Tuesday met him at 4:00 and after that I had a conversation with Noah faf and said hey why don't you get some of the guys together tomorrow that you think I need to talk to and let's sit down and let's just talk and so uh the next day at 2:00 after my press conference I came in here and there was 25 kids and we sat here and I sat up there and they just kind of filled the room and they just fired questions at me I said ask whatever you want and cuz it was that like I needed to give them a chance to get to know me obviously they know each other but I need to give them a chance to get to know me is great and when we were done took about two hours and when we were done um I said how'd this feel and they're like this is cool you know all right and I said okay you guys want to do it again tomorrow and they said yeah I was doing pinkies in yeah anything chess higher what I'm saying lower pigs in was I was doing this yeah you set go look at that look how easy that was you can put it here stop the ball boom uh question about a picture in the room I got a couple uh one they've already retired your jersey apparently number one brenon over there yeah they haven't even coached the game yet so how did you talk them into retiring your jersey that was the Jersey they handed me the day I was hired got it hiring there's nothing special about that and then number two there's a picture and it shows a text message with like and I don't remember the number um it's like 1,624 unopened text message me that must mean something big happened and you have all these messages and so you screenshot it what what is that picture so it's a it's a something I Ed with our team and that's that's within like 36 hours after getting this job I had that many text messages and um my point to the team is like when something good happens for you like everybody reaches out and when something bad happens you know nobody you don't hear from anybody you know it's a message for them like just don't give your power away to you know this the social media World your telephone that part of it because it's so fleeting and really all that matters are the people that are in this building and the people that you love and respect did you copy and paste answers back to people or did you just not reply to all of them no I'd say 600 of those have been unread still not still you don't have do you're not a DOT guy there's no way on your phone you have red eyes oh everywhere yeah yeah give me your Mount Rushmore of favorite music your four for your whole life that you would put as if you can only listen to four artists oh my gosh that is rough that's tough I know that's what we do we're hard-hitting well I'm a 90 hip-hop guys so that would be some version of NWA Tupac Snoop I know picking one one that's a tough one you probably be Snoop and during that time or you know and that's stuck with me Bob Marley I would say like beach boy Greatest Hits and cuz I kind of was like a kid with my parents growing up listening to that and then I would also throw in Pearl Jam I love this guy some kind of
