how's it going everyone welcome back to the arctic sports channel where today i'll be going through my match reaction to the u.s national team match against canada uh it's been a while since we've had an international break we just played el salvador beat them one nil i didn't do coverage for that game because it was just i thought a very simple one they'll win uh for this game against canada a very big game uh with a win this would put the us into first place but as you can tell from the result that did not happen at all uh us loses to no to canada um yeah let's start with a starting eleven though um not the biggest fan of our front three um i'm surprised ricardo pepe did not start in this game especially after not starting against el salvador um greg burholter decided to go with the famous ghiasi zardes who is honestly the best striker in the world so i don't know why he continued to put him into the lineup over pepe i know pepe had a very bad game in this one he did come in but i prefer to see him play um right wing brendan aronson i'm fine with obviously i'd love to see tim waya play but brennan nerenson very solid player so besides zardes i'd say the front three is all right midfield three is our best midfield we possibly could play um mckinney adam's musa those three i think need to start every single game i don't think we have any other option in midfield who's better than any of them for a backline um honestly i think it's one of our better backlines miles robinson replacing walker zim in the last game maybe he should have played because we kept a clean sheet but um backline i thought was fine matt turner goal definitely deserves his spot so um yeah that was starting 11 so very interesting coming into this game with that compared to our last starting eleven um for the actual game though um very early on um matt turner has i don't know if the wind took it or something but kicks a goal kick super high doesn't go very far and canada just counters a little one two between jonathan david and kyle lahren kyle larry's three on golden scores so down one nil super early um not many chances created for the us in the first half i believe we had one shot on target so um and that came from weston mckinney off of a corner so um our attacking wise very bad wise we maintained 64 obsession so um we were good at passing the ball around but we kept losing the ball in crucial areas um getting to the second half more mistakes as well um anthony robinson gives the ball away multiple times and um they have a big chance and just absolutely blow it matt turner makes a great double save so he honestly had besides that one goal that they scored a great game um our back line just looked absolutely terrible today so yeah midfield played great um but then later in the game as well they scored a second goal but that's because greg just made some terrible subs and we couldn't get richards off the field for a sub and so we're playing with 10 men for the last i believe 10 minutes of the game so [Music] yeah i think that's definitely due to these terrible subs um so being acosta for adams i guess an injury sub pepe for zardes pepe should have started zardis should not be playing in the us national team anymore jordan morris for aronson i like seeing jordan morris play again um although i don't think this is the right game to implement him into the game paul areola on for eunice musa i don't really like that sub i'm not the biggest fan of paul areola and then reggie cannon for sergino des i think reggie can should have subbed in for the left back position because i thought anthony robinson was absolutely abysmal today so yeah overall um that's just the match overall for this game very unimpressed with craig burrhalter's lineup and their tactics it seemed just kicked the ball forward and run onto it um definitely need to see some change in play going into the next game which i believe is on tuesday so yeah hopefully we play better hopefully greg will assess this and actually do something different for once um overall i'd say worst player of the game i'd probably say anthony robinson because he gave the ball away in some very crucial situations best player for me would be west mckinney had our best look on goal of the day and yeah overall very tough game to watch um if you enjoyed this match reaction make sure you subscribe to the channel i also post primary content as well so yeah thanks for watching see you guys next time
