CAPA Club Competitions for Saskatoon Photography Members

As the new season for the Saskatoon Photography Club approaches just a reminder we will be putting out a call for images from our club members to be considered for each of the CAPA competitions we have chosen to enter. Note that all of these competitions are digital competitions so no prints will be needed. The details of the rules, definitions, deadlines and guidelines are included links to the CAPA website in the notes for this video.  The following CAPA competitions will be entered by the Saskatoon Photography Club. Competition #1 is Nature / Wildlife Images can be of wild plants, insects, reptiles, amphibians, landscapes, nature including living animals along with untamed wildlife mammals, birds and marine subjects. No traditional zoo, open-range zoos, game farms or other areas where animals or birds are restrained or confined and must be living free. Our club may submit 6 images to this competition. The deadline to provide us with your one digital image for consideration for this competition will be October 1, 2024 Competition #2 is Black and White Our club may submit 6 images to this competition. The deadline to provide us with your one digital image for consideration for this competition will be November 5, 2024 Competition #3 is Colour Our club may submit 6 images to this competition. The deadline to provide us with your one digital image for consideration for this competition will be February 18, 2025 Competition #4 is Prairie Zone This is an open theme competition and all submitted images must have been captured in the Prairie Zone. This competition welcomes a variety of subjects such as animals, birds, insects, landscape, nature, people, domesticated animals and wildlife and can include altered reality images. Our club may submit 18 images to this competition. The deadline to provide us with your one digital image for consideration for this competition will be April 1, 2025.
