No Quinshon Judkins No Problem // Ole Miss Will Be In Good Shape At RB In 2024

hey what is going on om Miss fans welcome back to another video today do have my friend uh pat on the channel today and today we're gonna talk about you know this Old Miss running back room and the title of this video we're gonna talk about is you know like no quinan junkins no problem and you know I think Miss is still be in very good shape at running back this year of course Miss has you saw was been with the fourth back of course Matt Jones is back but then miss added you know a bunch of transfers to off season of course you know henard Paris Jr rad Amos Rogan dids Dominique Thomas bunch of veterans and a bunch of very good running backs coming to Old Men this year in the course of a couple returners as well too yeah uh you know really looking forward to seeing Henry back with the team uh you know I think that's going to be uh a surprise welcome and uh of course we know what we got with do uh I think he's uh long as he's healthy we get him out of that black Jersey uh he's he's G he's going to pick up right where he left off last year um and yeah so I'm just kind of curious to see how Charlie Weiss and and and kein has these guys uh and rotation with that looks like uh um hopefully we can get Diggs back sometime you know you never know how what the health is going to look like and uh toward the you know we get around the LSU game and it just starts all from there it just they keep they keep coming sure yeah um but yeah one of the thing you kind of mentioned this just a second AG go but um I do believe om Miss will keep these guys fresh the whole entire year and you know the past couple Seasons you know Quin Sean junkins has been he's been the guy running back I mean he's been our best running back he's been the guy who's got the majority of the carries and you know I got a bunch of stats here roting down but you know even wer I mean he had over 200 carries actually pretty close to 300 that is a lot of carries for a running back last year you know he had 271 carries 1,158 yards he was averaging uh 4.3 yards a carry also had 15 touchdowns as well too so yeah I mean Quin Sean junkins he had a bunch of carries had a bunch of yards had a bunch of TV bunch of TDS but then om fans look we got a bunch of very good guys coming in this year of course you know Jackson Dart you know everybody thinks of him as a I mean yeah of course he's a talented quarterback but also he's not he's not that b Runner he's a decent Runner and you know last year toward the end of the season you could tell uh little bit injured he didn't have as many designed run plays call for him but uh I think dark could be a decent runner for Old Miss this year but of course Bentley's back again this year I mean last year he had 540 yards you have he has hit 1,653 yards Dominique Thomas transferring in yards and yeah Matt Jones back again this year he had 79 yards uh this past season but I want to mention this right quick as well too so I'm a guy I I wrate down a bunch of stats and bunch of numbers so for those who are just kind of curious uh I had actually kind of have this broken down into the Old Miss Runners last year and have it broken down into the transfers coming in so out of Quin Sean junkins youas bent with the fourth Matt Jones I even included Jackson dart on This Ss as well too and you know dark hey hey real quick Dark Horse juice Wells hey look if Charlie W has a pulse that Jet Sweep we might see juice with the Jet Sweep you know so just throw that out there dark look for that you know that might be something I think um anyway yeah out those four guys last year they had 497 carries 2,168 rushing yards uh those four guys combined with averaging 4.97 yards per carry and out of those four guys last year they had 29 rushian touchdowns then you break it down into the transfers and this is talking about kenri Paris Jr Rashad Amos Rogan dids and Dominique Thomas those four guys why year combin had 445 carries they actually had more yards for yards rushan they were also averaging more yards per carry they were averaging uh these four guys combined were averaging 5.82 yard to carry and they these four guys combined had 27 rushan touchdowns as well too just kind of some stats a little interesting information it's very interesting but uh let's you know let's do that in the gauntlet as as we all know well the SEC is a little bit different but yeah uh Logan did it uh again would love to have him healthy for closer to the end of the season uh when when guys get banged up and he can have he can be that extra combo back and you know I don't uh other than seeing Matt Jones and and um Grove bowls things like that or or Garbage time don't really know much about them right so uh I'm just going to speak off my opinions and what I know from my eyes of what I've seen for the last um four years with kein uh you know with the wide you the defense is going to have to respect it they're going to have to respect the blocking from the tight ends and the pass catching from the tight ends because I see you know uh is it is it D Ricky right I believe uh I might have pronounced that wrong or dayquan right yeah so you're gonna have to respect that aspect and and uh whether or not we we go run two tight ends with two massive and I and I really believe Trey Harris is a is a um uh takes blocking to Heart they're going to have to respect the Run game they are they're going to have to respect the passing game so I really in my opinion think that uh no matter who's out there I think they're going to be uh in the right position I think they're making the right call again as I said Charlie Weiss is going to run want to run that Jet Sweep just hope it works um but yeah ju Wells too uh he got the body type like Debo uh it' be nice to see them do some things like Shanahan does with Debo and um and uh with with that being said I wouldn't count I wouldn't never rule that out you know that's where my mind goes to when I think about these things um and with kein and uh with Weiss at the him and like and like you pointed out too uh darts always it's going to be an option I I I know we all know uh that DS his his first uh he's not looking to run and I love that he's tough stand in the pocket but he will bruise you he's not scared you know he's got some Bo Wallace in him so yeah he does a little uh okay so the next point I was want to talk about and we kind of talked about this before before we actually started this episode but uh a couple things we just talking about so I think this is still going to be a very explosive offense but I brought up an interesting point and this is of course just my opinion here but I think this running back room could be kind of similar to the running back room back in 2021 and just to kind of give Old Miss fans just a little throwback here to remind Old Miss fans that we had B the end you know B the end 2021 we had uh you know ewe we had Snoop Conor you had uh also penri Paris Jr was back at Old Miss at that time as well too but you know those those three running backs are I mean they're all talented running backs but those three guys were each different in their own ways and you know back then you know you didn't have a running back who had 200 plus carries you know they're all kind of had somewhat even amount of carries I mean they're all used pretty often coach ke and kept those guys fresh the whole entire game and I think you're gonna see something kind of similar to that this year I mean you won't see a running back who will have 20 plus carries I think there's a possibility you could see two guys have over 150 each but I do do believe coach kein wants to keep some of these guys fresh the whole entire year and uh I mean of course his fans know what Bentley can do of course Miss fans know what parish can do even Amis you know all these guys are different in their own ways so I do believe om Miss will use these guys different many times this year in the Run game for sure in course you know amamos correct me wrong he's a bigger guy he's like 62 230 maybe yeah he he's actually the biggest running back on the roster yeah 62 I think he's like 225 230 maybe 235 he's in that area somewhere but yeah he he's definitely like the biggest strongest running back on the roster of course some of these guys will smaller a little faster of course Paris is kind of your smaller running back he's like 5'9 like 190 I think but but all the all these guys are all different in their own ways I'm glad you point that out you know that's something that uh uh the way the the landscape of college football is always evolving and changing uh yeah thinking about that year you know of course uh Snoop was a a you know crowd favorite and so was elely uh but you know you typically you kind of forget about parish and then you remember you know there was there was one game that I think I believe it was that Arkansas game he had uh a great game he he really showed up uh and he does some good things he's very Shifty hey and he's not scared he's not scared to get in the mix and get North and South that's what I like uh I'm kind of curious that but just looking at the stat sheets with Amos uh it looks like uh you know you put Brandon Balden uh you know that that's a quintessential Brandon Balden type and and also going back to yeah uh the carry uh that's that's an interesting stat I I agree if I was setting the over and under I I I would definitely go under 200 Carries On Any back on the roster and um I I just I like I like the idea that uh you know kin's GNA have everybody um refreshed and and a three-headed back but we we there's only one ball to go around so you know let's hope that keeps us healthy and I think that you know of course will benefit us uh toward the end of season because we're gonna need all hands on deck for sure oh yeah we need all hands for deck I mean of course we all we know you know we all know this year is gonna be special there's a possibility maybe go to the SEC Championship of course we're hoping we can go to the playoffs and hope we can get some wins but you know I'm not list I'm not listening to the the talking hits I'm not I no it's like 2009 number five Old Miss they head into uh Columbia South Carolina Thursday night ESPN football game and we get throttled I think it was was it John Garcia it was it was different times back then this is this is something me kind of forgetting about we we should have never got that preseason height yeah I can't buy into it you know I just I wanton and it's not has nothing to do with the the whole rat poison thing that kin's uh tweeting out and and yeah that's exactly how you should you know be coaching your team for me as a fan uh a fan for a very very very very long time living in breathing off every play uh it's just going to be a grind one game at a time mentality um I I just you know in my in my opinion when it comes to lanking in the running backs uh I really feel that uh bringing Kevin Smith back is uh a big plus because uh to your point uh keeping the running backs fresh healthy through the season if remember Kevin was really good at that Kevin was really good at his rotation uh keeping guys cycled in the right way um and and hey I'm not I won't take anything from Quin Sean you know he's the quintessential bcow at the running back position uh wish him the best at the Ohio State uh but we're gonna be okay we be okay I just I really really believe that we're gonna be okay we're going to be able to run two tight end sets now finally and you know you can't you know I know this is not a tight end video but Hudson Wolf's healthy uh and and I I just really feel um that we're gonna have the we're g we're gonna we have too many weapons and too many spots to where uh the running back position is going to cost us I don't believe that I do not believe a running back is going to cost us a game I mean yeah if a fumble but I'm talking about the position the the the room itself the running back room is not going to stop us from uh reaching uh an SEC Championship for sure don't believe it oh it's it's not we got we got too much talent man quarterback wide receivers running backs defense the whole entire team we got too much talent it's gonna be a special year if we can make the playoffs or not I don't know but hopefully we can yeah hate to say it I think we got a better shot at the playoffs than the SEC championship game it seems like it goes that way for us you know you know if last year was a 12 team playoff we would have missed the championship and and made the playoffs so uh I'll take the playoffs but I really want a championship SEC or Natty you know uh it's it's time we've got to get there and uh we're GNA have to win in LSU we're gonna have to win uh maybe we can do some uh um some uh schedule uh do a schedule preview uh you know know here soon but as far as running backs I I really think we're good I don't know again I don't know much about Matt Jones uh but I'm rest assured I won't lose any sleep over this if he's playing I know kein he's playing for a reason well I don't know kein personally but I'm saying I know giffin's not playing anybody you're not if you can't play you're not going to play yeah and I truly believe that with K I think he's proven that year after year after year I mean you brought in Sanders from o Oklahoma State now that was probably like Dart says to to push to push him but if he was really better than Dart he would have played him I really I really believe that so yeah I agree I agree with you for sure so uh any more final thoughts anything else you want to bring up or Yeah final thought um I really believe that Henry parish is gonna I think he's Gonna Shine I really do I don't think he's gonna have any pressure on his shoulders he's coming back with a you know a place he's very familiar with with a team he's very familiar with um I just have a good feeling about Parish my final thought is I think parish is going to uh be a great compliment to dece do I'm Excuse me and um I you know it's yet to be seen what Amos would do but you would figure with that body type uh he's going to be okay in in the SEC uh it took uh uh you know it takes some time I I reckon but I think Henry having played in the SEC and playing uh playing a ACC I I I really think uh he's going to be we're gonna have that onew combo that's my that's that's my final thought I think we're gonna have a one-w combo at at the running back position um and I think we're gonna be okay oh yeah we're gonna be okay for sure I yeah like you mentioned I'm not scared I'm not worried we're in good shap and I'm try not to throw uh you know drink bottles through the TV when I see a Jet Sweep that gets blowed up after running it 10 times well but hey hey if Charlie Charlie if you could get the Jet Sweep to work hey man nobody would uh throw a fit about it but I mean as you well know Trent that hey when we see that Jet Sweep we already oh the eyes the eyes start rolling you can you can hear the groans in the stadium you can hear it everybody's ill oh I I'll be honest with you I'm not the biggest fan of the Jet Sweep I think we've done it a little too much in the past [Music] and hopefully we don't see as much if it I mean if it works and yeah use it more but just from past experience it has not worth the best let's just hope Matt Jones and uh Rashad Amos get North and South for us because I believe uh uh Henry he can get to the edge and Deuce well we already know when you get deuce in open do I keep saying Deuce do when you get him in open space he's he's he's a home run here he'll take it to the house he'll blow yeah I mean yeah I mean Ben we guy you know tough physical guy explosive fast strong you good making guys miss I he's one of those guys that can kind of do it all so the parish is kind of just gotta stay healthy with him we gota we gotta keep him fresh healthy uh protect him at all costs he needs to wear a a black vest I mean Jersey all the way through uh the the 31st right does he need does he need to even play against Ferman at this point uh I joke I kid but here here's what we're this is what we're kind of hoping for I mean we're hoping you know we can win this game by 50 plus points and hope with the starters play just a couple series and then hopefully after halftime you see musley third stren that's kind of the hey hey hey hey yeah I want to see Austin Simmons right I want to see uh Hudson wolf getting getting all the rips you know I want to see uh Matt Jones I want to see Rashad Amos getting the rips I want to see them take that game over yeah those those first couple games Aiden Williams well let's let's see him get in there and let's see how well he blocks you know I I don't think I don't think with with the wide receivers that are not on the field I really don't think it's a route running issue or situation I really believe uh with kein you're not getting on the field if you can't do the little things as a wide receiver it's more than running a route tree and and quick uh you know quick twitch I think it's more than that I think a lot of it is that you know you have to have a little grit you got to block willingly block don't give up on a play um so yeah looking forward to
