[Music] meet Natalie Natalie loves books this is your brain on books any questions and this is Angela she's a very serious jazz [Music] singer and sure we both like to stay informed but G this world sometimes am I right you know what we need 30 minutes of meditation pop culture meditation so we're here to remind you we get it you're smart but right now take a deep breath and put your books [Music] down and and we're good hi Angela hey Natalie how you doing I'm good happy Sunday early afternoon to you oh hey thanks same to you thank you um feeling pretty good today yeah I was up I was up late yeah you had a gig last night I did but it was I call it my grandma gig though cuz it's over at 9: which is hilarious on a Saturday night aging am I right it's like amazing though because I'm done by 9: and by like 9:30 I'm home in my pajamas drjs with a cocktail playing balls on the phone are our game that we play and we talk about a lot should we tell people about it um yeah cuz I'm on level like almost 5,000 that's how cool I am I'm on like 1,00 which I think is pretty good considering that I just started playing it 2 days ago just kidding wasn't two days balls we call it balls it's I don't know the name of it but it's about color sorting ball or something it's supposed to like help with ADHD and help like you you know keep your brain sharp and I I'm sorry I justif with ADHD well I justify it because like my downtime for me like my my me time sometimes um because you know I go to pilates at like 7:30 in the morning and um I have a like a break before work and sometimes I'll go to the grocery store and sometimes I'll like do things but sometimes I'll just get back in bed and put on my murder programs and play balls yeah it's relaxing yeah it's funny because it's simultaneously anxiety producing and relaxing like it makes your brain work out it's weird I guess we're not the first people in the world who know who have you know thought about this seeing as how thousands and thousands and thousands of people play games like this and anyway I used to be a candy crusher and then it just and then I was spending $30 a month on extra lives and I was like oh my I'm a loser the only problem I have with balls now balls people developers if you're listening because I know they're listening to this podcast they need to figure it out so that you can play balls and listen to music or podcast on your phone at the same time I know and I used to have one a version of balls that you could do that but this one's the best one yeah you know and so you have to pick your poison and so I I I get annoyed I do get annoyed that that's why I have to have a murder program on because I can't listen to sword and scale you know what I'm saying exactly I'm a sword and scale plus user I have the app I pay5 a month I don't even I don't even think I know what that is it's a true crime podcast that's really good oh gotcha yeah I like to listen to music you know when I'm practicing my music I sometimes listen to music so that I can just kind of get it going in my brain a lot of practicing is listening yeah and so like yeah I'd love to be able to just sing along while I'm playing balls but but you know we wouldn't if we could do the combination nothing thing would be done true yeah balls is SC kind of screwing me though it's a little bit but that didn't sound right okay okay moving along so today um we are going to talk about a current um docu limited docu series that's going on right now in HBO Max and also it coincides with some other things that I this is a an issue for me that I'm incredibly passionate about I I I get all kinds of I get I get red up so I'm going to get red up rightfully so and um I just because there's all there's variations of things we're talking about um chimp crazy which is the it's a documentary series it's it's like and it's basically being made undercover because the Creator is Eric good who also did Tiger King so he his like The Jig Is up for him all you know exotic pet owners know that he's going to produce something that's not necessarily um complimentary to these exotic pet owners um right I mean you you know that it's going to be dark because I mean obviously who can forget Tiger King um we're not getting quite the drama that you got in Tiger King because of the dude in Tiger King's like Vibe you know he was just like crazy persona yeah um so yes um this woman Tanya hadex who she's a former nurse turned exotic animal broker Tanya hadex who refers to herself as the Dolly Parton of chimps uh she spends her days car caring for animals in captivity so this uh specifically uh chimpanzees and um you know immediately when I started this documentary it I'm sure I'm not the only one I immediately assumed this would go this would lead to Travis the chimp the famous chimpanzee that um it was such a nightmare of a story that like in the unforgettable 911 call um about Travis the chimp had gotten into his owner xenx pills oh my God and we also learned and un ripped her neighbor's face off so we that's when we learned that a chimp will rip your face off and side note that we'll have to loot back into later another program I have always been obsessed with is fatal attractions on Animal Planet I've made you watch so many of those I've got notes about that one too I'm and then um you know we learn a lot about the ex like chimpanzees and lions and tigers and snakes and wolves and bears and um all that but chimpanzees yeah their initial reaction during an attack is they will rip your privates off right not just your face any external extremity like the nose your tits yeah your your boobers they eat your titers right they will rip a man's private right off yeah so right off you know think about that next time you think about things that are protruding from your body and Say Goodbye right to those things so Tanya noses noses ears Fingers um Tanya is um volunteering for free at this um I'm using air quotes Sanctuary yeah we're gonna call it quote unquote Sanctuary it's a dumpster where these previously these chimpanzees were raised and they were in movies and um now they're old and basically not usable so they're just in these cages kept in captivity eating um buttloads of McDonald's well and the lady who who owns this place is named uh what is her name Diane yep no I'm sorry Case Connie Casey yeah Connie Casey and apparently this is in Missour Missour I I've been told that you say it you don't say Missouri no I mean I was on the west coast we said Missouri I say Missouri yeah apparently they say like Missour Missour Missour I'm so sorry anyway uh Connie Casey she's a breeder she doesn't want to be on camera uh but T Tanya comes in and takes over this whole entire operation basically and this documentary is she's like the face of this and they she is I don't know why but she's under the impression that these people are on her side and that this documentary is in favor of her it's supporting her it's the thing that I told you is going to come up all the time the word is hubris it's going to come up all the time because this woman just thinks that she's doing you know the Lord's work or something like keeping these chimps alive and protecting them and she's like I would give my life for these and that she has a stronger connection to these chimpanzees in own children yes it's real awkward when her son comes on he's like yeah I mean she openly talks about how much she loves these chimpanzees more than me and you know it's it's weird at times I'm like no [ __ ] yeah real weird can you imagine no I I can't well her Obsession for one specific chimpanzee Tonka Tonka goes too far so p a movie star Tonka was a movie star T was a movie star and Allan Cummings had a they had a he had a movie with Tonka and was cl with this chimpanzee and you know he is a big big member of PETA right and so he eventually was like super supportive of people not using exotic animals in movies anymore because yeah once he learned better he did better he was like and he's actively you know yes he's still doing better and he's in this documentary also because Tonka has gone missing and Peta had had won a court order to collect all of the chimpanze from conie Casey's quote sanctuary and um six chimpanzees were rescued and taken to a proper preservation that's like beautiful and no cages and it's it's a it's a substantial way for these chimpanzees to live because they can't really just go out into the wild as they've been no because they've been in captivity their enti enti lives and but they need the proper nutrition and they need proper places to roam and they needer they don't need to be they don't need to be eating you know Doritos and caged and and happy meals so many coas and so but Tanya now yeah as we always talk about things that are occurrent there's no like anyone that started watching this has probably Googled the situation so there's no like spoilers right okay um she has abs we we can't find Tonka and peta's like okay we got all the championes but one Tonka and that's the one that Tanya was the closest with and she's like obsessed with so now we don't know where Tonka is and Pete is calling her out on it they're like no they're going back and forth in court and she is bananers okay she's also like a she's an highly functioning sociopath that in order to derail a court proceeding she will do this like fake crying and like screen crying and the judge has to be let's take a recess so she can she's diverting attention to the fact that she's like collecting herself but essentially she's got Tonka okay we all know that she's got Tonka and she's saying that and she's lying to the court like this whole time I'm like how is this woman this this documentary is already been made how is this woman not in jail already she's a bon she's an actual criminal I know and um Peta is not stopping they're not going to let up period that's just not GNA happen but she claims that Tonka had a stroke and that he died and he was cremated and to prove he was cremated she shows a bag of what could only be described as Nest quick chocolate powder drink mix it was literally coming like that's hot cocoa that's that's quick that's not that is not um chimpanzee remains she has no idea and no one would put his remains and a um sandwich Ziploc bag okay correct that's just not how that works right um so we are you know and there's a new episode every Sunday at like 10 p.m. yeah and she's getting away with this yeah she is you know and she this this this this this other part of this while she thinks she's being portrayed as a loving human and that you know what she's doing is like get what like you said God's work it's not it's absolutely crazy it's selfish it's it's narcissistic it's it's like hoarding it's crazy yeah and and I'm not talking like about all animals okay I'm talking about champan um lions tigers poisonous snakes cobras um these animals that are not capable of being domesticated and living a happy and full life right right right and who and who shouldn't because they are like mother nature and their gig is to live the way that they have always lived as on this earth like as wild animals biology like they need to be they have that yes they have in exual things that absolutely have cannot be messed with because Mother Nature as we know always wins well always well unfortunately and this is my position on this is when I get really upset about this situation in in all cases is that more often than not the pet air quotes will end up turning on the owner or someone around the owner okay or and which is which is the owner's responsibility it's not dog this is not a cat this isn't a dble this isn't even like a lizard which we'll get to but it's not even a noot right so and then and then the the animal is um punished for being the animal and they usually are put down and they are killed yeah um like nine times out of 10 so and I think that's just unfair because thinking about these chimpanzees have they've been in this captivity for so long and they're old now they're like 40 years old and they're getting they restless and they're they're they're they're they don't want to they don't know what they're doing their brain has changed they've had Strokes they've had issues and so they're gonna they're freaking out yeah they want to go they do okay but they want to go she has a side story where it's like supposed to make her like a human being and this is just crazy to me because it's it's her beauty regimen it's her and you know I have a business that is laser care that helps with Aesthetics like aging gracefully right she has all these scenes where she's numbing she's interviewing while she's got topical numbing on her mouth for her lip fillers and all of that and she looks Bonkers right okay she has this like blonde W hair wig whatever she's I'm not sure if I think it's a tanning bed I think they showed a clip of her like going to a tiny I'm not sure well she looks unhinged physically unhinged inside it's like her insides are showing on her outsides I wanted to say in this episode that I'm going to try to not talk about just her wigs and her lips and her eyelashes alone she also says she's only a few years older than me she says she's 53 no she's a pical liar also wait what like but let me tell you something we don't know that not to be true because we don't know what we would look like if we were horrible people that were keeping chimpanzees in closed for you know decades exactly that must wear on you right it's gota it's got to really speed up the aging process and on that note we'll be right back friends the show so now we are at this this new episode that's coming out tonight and she's under pressure because the everyone knows that she's got Tonka in her basement yeah and now the documentary people know and every I mean people are going to tell on her she knows it's coming and I'm really my concern is and I haven't Googled it or anything is that now she's so scared that she's going to be caught with Tonka and go to jail that she I'm worried she's going to kill him herself like euthanize him herself I'm very anxious about that you do go through this anxiety on this and that's why I did have to Google it and I don't know what happened to Tonka I did not Google that part but I know that she's not in jail right now so I know that but um let's can we back up for just one second on this show because there's somebody else that is interviewed on this show that I think it's important to talk about and her name is Pam Roser okay and so they're talking to her in the first episode about her involvement with chips they're just trying to like give a sort of basis of like these people who are involved with chimps and how chimps behave and all these things well Pam Roser told her father she grew up in the circus industry she told her father when he said what do you want to be when she grew up she said I want to be the world's most famous chimpanzee trainer and she's like look chimps share 98.4% of human DNA they're the closest thing to humans that we have in the animal kingdom to the point where when she was a young woman and she was having her first child she had her first child she also had a baby chimp and this baby chimp was born prematurely and premature chimps apparently don't respond well to formula oh Jesus that's right this woman forgot Pam had her baby she had just had and she had this baby chimp and so of course the natural thing for her to do was right after her daughter was nursed she just go ahead and put that baby chimp on the other little titter yeah she had them both on there at once she her husband walks in and she's got both both her chimp and her newborn baby suckling at her breasts which is you know could could be a beautiful thing but we're talking about um there's all these that's I feel like there's all this footage this is a this is a slippery slope it's not even a sity I mean exactly I I just I mean I just you got to where this is going to I mean that's where my brain that's where my brain goes that's why I'm like are they sleeping in the same bed you know they're already kissing on the lips so now they're already kissing on the lips breastfeeding this chimpanzee this is a slippery slope into it is I just yeah okay and then you see you see this this Tanya woman like playing with COC Tonka I keep saying Coco Tonka and Tonka tonka's arm she's sitting there at the cage door with her she's sitting crisscross applesauce style and you see tonka's arm reach out of the cage and like go for her crot area yeah so I'm she's like he getting and she's like he's getting aggressive and I'm like yeah because he's going to rip you to shreds lady because he needs to go and you need to let him go this is all about you lady yeah because he's stuck in this cage in the basement in her house we find out pissed he's pissed off and animals that were allowed to roam free and then now they get older cuz they become aggressive because that's natural that's biology and then they're like punished for it and these these these bastard people are just making this all about themselves and they just want they're like no I have it's an addiction it's like an obset they're like addicted to to this power and like and let me okay which brings me to my this position yes do I believe that humans and animals can have incredible bonds and understanding yes of course you do of course you do because I I know how you were with Pete and we know that you taught Pete how to purse his lips and everybody if you don't know this this is something that we bring up a lot on this podcast Pete is our mascot y precious Pete sadly sadly RIPD a few years two years ago year two years ago not two years was a year on May 17th so 16th we love we love that was nice of him not to go on my birthday you know what I actually uh did that on purpose no I I it was it was thought that was thoughtful of mine I appreciate that you're welcome yeah um but he is our he is our rescue mascot our Guardian Angel he's our Guardian Angel and honestly Pete was such a good person I mean sure you know you thought of him as a person well I thought of him as my but it wasn't it wasn't he Pete was never going to rip your face off well he ripped someone's face off but it wasn't mine and it's a dog he was a dog he's a dog what happened was um and I take full responsibility we were for New Year's Justin Sharp and I were at a New Year's thing at Lizzy's farm and this guy friend friend of ours came up from behind me cover like full um full camo uhuh and they had been shooting guns outside and all this and like oh yeah Pete was I was holding Pete and this guy come up to scare me and Pete like like it was like almost like a snake bite and it got his nose but he the the guy was super kind about it he understood you know Pete had been shot and lost the leg so there was trauma there and I would have never had him in that environment if I'd known it was going to be that kind of a situation but we took care of medical bills we like laser I mean like it's it's he was very nice about it but I was ready to go on the lamb Pete and I were going to live at the riverhouse in Heber and I was going to commute and if they were like you have to put your dog down I was GNA be like yeah no problem and I was just gonna I was going to pull a Tonka except this is a dog you were okay I was going to pull a Tanya with Tonka with a dog right not a chimpanzee right so this is so I get this I get the connections I get all that but I do not I don't understand why people can't stick to you know as as far as a large animal you know like a domesticated animal like get a rescue animal you can get rescue ferrets you can get res like these are small animals that you can that can accommodate to living at your house Lizzie used to have a fet and it was fine it was happy little fet I mean these are not these are not chimpanzees they're not Tigers they're not cobras they're not Bears they're not wolves these are these are it's a different situation and you know there's I guess right and wrong ways but they have these animal Expos and you know they're just they're not they don't deserve to be punished for their biology later down the road sure it's so super cute to have a little chimpanzee and little suspenders and a diaper and a little cigar and be like I get it right adorable who love to see that but think about them in 20 years exactly because the thing about chimpanzees that you learn on this program is that like after they're done being babies they're no longer uh friendly fun little sweethearts they're they're now like fully grown uh [ __ ] right I mean and like what about reptiles okay this is when I'm going to go into the kodo dragons on fatal attractions let's tell people about this show it's called fatal attractions yes and it's and it's you can watch it on Pluto I've been watching it on Pluto and I've seen a few TV yeah but you can watch it for free on Pluto if you have Roku or something yeah you just have to watch commercials but that's okay so this the show essentially all of the Tanya yeah all of the Tanya in the world and there are a lot of them I've discovered in this world there are a lot of people this is what also boggles my mind I'm like there are so many people there was a guy in North Carolina like a couple years ago who had like a some exotic snake got got loose in the neighborhood and everybody was freaking out well now I understand why it was going to like kill somebody or you know the thing with reptiles and I've like love snake books my whole life and snake shows right you like snakes um you like snakes I like snakes but people who collect a poisonous snake and like Co like a king cobra and has and believes they have an emotional connection like or that they are king cobras have are capable of emotional connections that's of kissing them without striking or letting them Slither around in their homes they they are usually bit they usually get they bite them often and sometimes they survive and sometimes they think they're building like a tolerance and usually more often than not yeah the people that have all these um exotic uh poisonous snakes don't show up for work one day their family can't get a hold of them and they have to there's a wellness check that happens and you know a body is found and then the reptiles are killed for being [ __ ] reptiles now right the fascinating part of all this and why I'm talking why we even talking about this why we watch these shows why we want to see all of this because the psychology of these types of people yes is so fascinating it's shocking it's also devastating because it's sad these are usually people that are like super introverted like so much that they keep to themselves and they're often loners and yes they believe that the reptiles are their friends and they believe that they're like not mutually exclusive and that they're like oh we trust each other it's fine it's not something that's real these are people that are like have a delusion on reality and also they like to be thought of as these like cool people that have all these snakes and they're known as the people with snakes and it gives them a way to think that they like otherwise if they didn't have all these snakes they don't fit into society they don't have a place in society they're not special right yeah right which all I hear and all of that is I have compassion but you know most of that is just me me me me me me me me and a bunch of snakes and a bunch of exotic animals can bring up this guy Steve cek who theologist he no this is the Tarzan man with the who has the big cats oh right so he was like a he was like a Tarzan actor and he had the man himself had you know how people always say you end up looking like your animals this man has like Lion's man hair he looks just like him he was in Tiger King and there's something with his eyes and I'm not really sure what that's about I'm just going to pass right over that but persan cat yeah he actually verbalized and I wrote this down quote actual quote they love you unconditionally and there is mutual respect this he's talking about his tigers um honey no there's not there is not how are you ascribing human qualities to these animals like they do not all these people have been attacked severely by their pets li like limbs one of his Tigers got out his name was Bobo and they were so he was so upset because Bobo was you know being maligned or whatever cuz people were terrified and he's like Bobo didn't know how to hate he only knew how to love this guy full of so much [ __ ] Bobo is a [ __ ] tiger yeah okay is a tiger is a tiger is a tiger then there's a woman on there her name was Cynthia gamble talk about hubris she was feeding roadkill to these animals because she absolutely could not afford to keep them anymore and that's usually so the tiger was extremely hungry and yeah you know had didn't have enough food it's often people that don't have the resources to provide a uh a true legit even sort of true legit whatever uh environment for these animals it's just they have to eat like 300 lounds of food every day or something it's crazy and often these people turn their own homes into simply a facility for these animals like um a giant monkey cage or their apartment and like and like you know Ron Huff Ron Huff from exmilitary from Delaware who had the kodo dragons right he had a studio apartment yeah and he had like five or six six to seven foot long kodo dragons Koto dragon and he called them a collection of lizards those are prehistoric dinosaurs right that they know how to kill they don't care they don't care but that's one of the that's the first episode of fail RS and I encourage it's reptiles and it's I encourage it really sets the tone because one more thing about yeah one it does set the tone you're absolutely right one more thing about this Cynthia gamble woman she was found by her 14-year-old son in the barn because the tiger was hungry and the tiger had eaten off her arms to her elbows had eaten off both of her breasts and had like started in on her face and then dragged her body into the Tiger cage by himself he took it back to his lay not going to give it up was he buried it with like the straw which is what they do to keep their food fresh and then her son comes home from school and finds finds this and so then of course law enforcement she didn't make it girl make it but she didn't make it I just have to say it's just again B get put down I don't I can't I yes he did cops had to come and they had to shoot they had to they had to kill the tiger for being tiger they did because I mean it's it's it's a safety issue I know and it's sad and they it's just so it's just not well then the rest of her animals were yeah it's not fair the rest of the animals were taken to like a legit sanctuary and um apparently the woman who runs that one was like you know it was so sad because I had known about this woman and I thought the last thing from my mind was that they were being taken care of poorly but when they arrived at at the sanctuary they were like 220 lbs and they should be like 500 lb and they had teeth problems because they'll just chew on anything they can to try to get it for food and so it like ruins their teeth they'll chew on metal if they you know yeah because they don't have the resources to keep up with these animals anyway so think about how expensive is to have a dog so expensive to have a dog know why would you want to care for like five tigers and you can't even like buy food for them you can't even you all and okay let's get back to Tanya wait wait wait go to I got talk about Ron oh oh I'm so sorry yes Ron this is the kodo dragon guy on fatal attractions yes and he worked he had he had like a like a strict routine it was just work at the car lot he was obsessed with working out and his quote collection of lizards which he had basically turned his own studio apartment into a home for lizards like a a Not Aquarium what is it called Teran habitat a sure and these were like five or um terrarium kodo dragons that were each six to seven feet long oh my God just for a second Frank is 63 so I'm thinking about a 6'3 kodo Dragon I mean that could be new you need to Google Ron Hoff kodo dragons and you will see the like there are photographs because he was like and and the neighbor guy he' be like you want to come see my lizards and the neighbor was like okay and he would go there and like but then you know the the dragons started fighting each other like the dragons would get in fights with each other they would attack the cat the cat lived but the cat would have like all of these little scars all over the cat that he had his cat and they would constantly bite Ron and he would show like his flip his finger I mean like and that's poison too so he's like building a tolerance of sort I guess or it's also just slowly breaking down your body and it's slowly breaking down your organs because dragons know I think how they killed their prey now guess what happened what happened what happened was Rondon show up for work for three days and nobody had heard from him so the police did a wellness check and they looked in the window okay and they could see all these lizards and um the police found they went inside found Ron's lizards and then what they were feeding on which was dead Ron I'm doing and the lizards had his blood all over their faces they ate they ate part of his face hands shoulders the the neighbor guy that saw them that he said want to see my lizards he was like I I the door was open when the cops were coming in out and the and also police don't know how to handle poisonous lizards okay they do not no one knows what to do here no all right nobody and they're like has sing and have their mouths open with blood all over it like I would have never been the same seen that the scene alone and Ron is punched over on like on the against the wall and they've just they're like we're eating excuse us hey hey you're interrupting dinner uh excuse excy but they were just roaming free around the apartment I mean like this is what we're talking about and this is just wild and it's absolutely insane it's absolutely ridiculous and he died he was 42 and he died organs were on the outside they ate him to bits Natalie but the sketch you Googled this though cuz the sketch and you can see on Fatal Attraction you just watched the episode the sketch the neighbor Drew of his face has um been burned in my brain it was just like with a pen on a napkin and I've never been the same with the sketch okay okay well but and and let me tell you something these people are well researched on these animals I get it like they know everything about which particular species and they're obsessed they they identify with these animals and you know they have ginormous Egos and that's they are overconfident and they think they about talking about their animals but like loners and Hermits and other aspects of of life um but you know it's like when you have six or seven kodo dragons in you're hoarding this is a form of hoarding it is it's just like 20 chimpanzees you're hoarding you're not a you're not a facility you're not a facility you're a breeder also do you know how much money these like Tanya and Carson lady are making by selling chimpanzees it's like $65,000 for a chimpanzee at at BIR I know it's an a racket it is Absolut it's so unethical it's so unethical and some of the okay so some of the kimono dragons some of them were taken to a zoo but most of them were killed Yeah well yeah because who wants a kimono I'm a kimono I'm a kimono dragon yes that's what I am well you know I love a kimono I love a kimono I have several but I'm not a kimodo no listen I think it's time Natalie I think this is a good Breaking Point speaking of kimonos and ladies can come back to this in a second right I have a you I have a that's what I was hoping yeah um well today I thought that we would um try to reconcile um a little bit of this chimp crazy Tanya hadex lady's behav by paying an ABS like a actual tribute to Dolly Parton oh like the Dolly Parton yes yes um in a way of like it's like our form of apologizing to Dolly Parton for the comparison that this crazy woman's doing um let me tell you something I've seen Dolly Parton in concert and the woman is a National Treasure when did you see her in concert Sally and I she came to Little Rock and we had like front row seats how old were you five this was like six years ago recently oh within the last decade yeah and let me tell you something the woman plays all the instruments she has the tiniest little saxophone I've ever seen in my life it's adorable she plays it she talks about stuff to the audience and she this has never left me and nobody believes me but I'm like look it up she was was a huge family right yeah and they were they were poor yeah and she said that SMY mountains and daddy would tell them to go outside and pick out their rocks for their rock soup cuz they would have hot water with rocks and they would they would she was like and we loved we just loved our rock soup and I was crying at the show Bruce and I are looking at each other like should eat rock soup no one should have rock soup she's like but we didn't know any better we loved it we loved our rock soup and I mean unless I had like a stroke at the concert and I made that up I really it's it's real well there is like an old poem or something about Stone Soup about stone soup or something I I can't remember it had but yeah they went and pick out their rocks for their rock soup listen and she let me tell you something that woman sings Live and I know when she did N9 to5 yeah I my head exploded she came up with it she came up with that opening Rift by doing this with her fingernails yeah listen Frank got an opportunity a few years ago in Raleigh to play for Dolly Parton shut your face I'm not even joking so her um she is wonderful in real life yes she is she is I can tell and here's what happened here's what happened what happened her book uh charity that she donates books to Children's Schools and organizations and everything was coming through Raleigh and doing a an event at the Children's Museum and so this band he was playing with at the time was just like this big party Band kind of thing they said you know she W so Dolly walks in a little teeny Dolly tiny little dolly walks by and they said you know can we do one with you or whatever and she said yeah let's do Jolene and she just keeps walking stop I'm not even joking and then and then they're the band is all scrambling like okay I think we can do Jolene we can do Jolene and then they're like what key and she just keeps walking and her manager walks by he goes it's in G you know like that and the lady who was the lead singer of this this party Band group absolutely Nails it Dolly gets on stage and sings it with her Frank is back there like playing keyboard like doing the keyboard part you know it it was amazing I think there's a video of it somewhere I'll try to find it and post it that is that's like some musician bucket list stuff right there and not only is are you just performing with Dolly Parton it's Jolene I know her most iconic I know I know song it was and Frank comes home he goes well guess what I got to do tonight I got to play with Dolly Parton I'm like stop I'm a little upset that he didn't call you me he said get up here get your ass get up here if if Scott came like oh my God I was at the hospital earlier and doly Parton came through and we just chatted and chatted and she asked about you was like where's your wife at do she want to come up here and I was like nah I'm not going to call her I would be furious well it all happened so fast and they they I don't accept that they didn't know it was going to happen you know the minute you do that's why we have cellular phones even if it was a flip phone would it works cellular cellular anyway this happened a couple years ago so you're right he could have at least turned on his FaceTime well that's that's just so cool you know he was doing his jobal you got be cool he's be cool you're the pro anyway that's great yeah Dolly would never do what these people have done she would never to animals participate ever she would never participate in this chicanery Shenanigans these Shenanigans these criminal Shenanigans these criminal Shenanigans yeah before we wrap this up I have to be honest there was a drive-thru zoo in fville when I went to college and I didn't I didn't have a position at that time I was you know probably hammered not going to class and right too busy letting homeless people sleep on your porch and what not well it was Double D we knew him but um where you drive through the zoo and there's tigers and cages and Panthers and cages and the petting area was these sedated kangaroos that you could just like lay next to and be like hey and I did hold a baby tiger that someone brought these baby tigers and I held a baby tiger what it sedated no it was a baby but I'm allerted to cats you know did you I know so I had like heaving hives but did you respect that cat CU you always tell me I respect cats I do I know they going to kill me this uh baby tiger like a little like it was like you know like I was holding it and rocking like a little baby little b b and you know but I understand that the person that brought them was obviously like part of this Tiger King like a a like a thing and you know I'm I I am fessing up and saying that because I didn't know any better and I at the same time I I mean it was a the tiger was you participated you participated participated participated they did and these little monkeys would run around and they'd get in like your sunroof it's okay it's all right and oh the emus were the meanest things I've ever seen in my life don't roll your window down cuz they're coming in to bite you you know why they pissed I know cuz they want to eat you and the and the food you're about to offer them but I did that it did it did happen but you know what I've repented and um I'm I'm now a member of pea no not a member of P I eat meat sorry don't take it so far ant I'm like now I feel bad for the now I'm a member of pea the sandwich I'm GNA eat later not anyway I I love pea I think that's fantastic I just I I have I have I'm I have low iron anemic I have to look it's goes out saying I am what I am in that way fine listen I don't think is there anything else that you want to add about this other than just everybody go watch this show and go watch chimp crazy conf I'm conflicted to tell people to watch it I told some people that I was you watch F just text me and I'll tell you about it but it's sad fascinating it's sad it's sad but it's also this woman is spreading a train wreck and it's kind of like the Tiger King Guy where she has all these Malo props she says wrong she says like oh what was it per se I I don't know she she I mean supposedly was certainly on there supposedly it was another one like uh perum or like per perum or like U compr she says I mean she's a dip [ __ ] she says she's a dingdong she says the wrong things like it is sad but this is like this this is it's important to be made it's important to spread awareness it's import important to make these animals matter and even by watching this like makes and as a as a freak about mattering in the world it makes it just shows how important this is and it's not it's about the animals and they they matter and their stories matter and yeah you know it's just one of the St and we didn't even talk about Travis we don't need to no no also I want to say this there are people in this world who are amazing let's talk about Betty White let's talk about let's talk about all these people who are famous people who do good for these caes who really really do rescue these animals from these types of places and owners and provide a really wonderful place for them to live let's look for those people let's look for those people let's share those links let's just keep that story going I want see that documentary I want to see how how well they like how the animals that have come from um where chimp crazi coming from I want to see where those six chimpanzees living in this you see where this is it's beautiful it's unbelievable and they're free roaming I want to see how they adapt to that after being enclosed for so long and like struggles with that like that would be a docum there's one in Colorado my friend Lisa has gone there so yeah see D I love that and they need money and like give them all the money give them all the money give them but don't give these people that are narcissistic [ __ ] holes that are don't have the resources to provide anything close to a proper environment don't give them money no because all they're going to do with your your money what are they going to do buy something for go down to McDonald's and getal happy meals to chimps bu they're going to buy you know get their hair done they're not it's not about get their lips done listen on that note I think it's time to wrap her up yeah but we have a special treat because I wrote a song it's called Prince Charming wrote it many years ago in a bar I will admit I'm going to provide a link to that for everybody you can go listen to it you may even get a live performance oh my God be on the lookout for that yes um and everybody if you like this episode if you like put your books down you
