Indianapolis Colts Cornerback OPTIONS after Juju Brents goes on IR

what's going on Colts Nation I appreciate you joining me for another video where today we're going to talk about injuries okay we mentioned some injuries yesterday to force Buckner Josh downs and how we're looking at that and wondering what's going to happen but an injury that we hadn't heard about like we we didn't hear about Coach didn't say anything and his press conference like nobody mentioned it and then yesterday news comes out apparently Juju Brent's out for the season presumably and not completely sure if he's going to be out for the season um but he is getting placed on IR will be out for at least most of the Season just like he was last year so once again the the Indie native just not being able to stay on the field supposed to be our number one corner it's kind of funny I I had mentioned after the game on Sunday that I think Jaylen Jones might be our number one corner um he's been very good uh you know not perfect but he's been good so I think he'll take the number one duties and then I think Dallas flower is going to get activated he's probably going to take the number two duties it'll be interesting to see what happens he wasn't even active this past week so will they activate him will he be the number two guy who's going to be in that I would just assume with what we saw in training camp I it feels like he'll probably be the the number two guy but we'll see what happens he didn't perform well during the preseason maybe that affects things and uh we'll see who gets in there but um you know for the time being we did sign Kelvin Joseph so um cornerback Juju Brent headed to IR with knee injury I've been told it's not n and there is a chance he's back in mid December team will know more after surgery Warren Central High School product can't catch a break then Stephen holder said regarding Colts quarterback Juju brins his knee injury happened during the game and he pushed through and finished in spite of it talked to him at length afterwards and there was no indication he was even hurt likely season ending if he's able to come back it'll be December and then again blue stable says that the CTS are signing former Cowboys cornerback Kelvin jof to the practice squad after the injury to Juju Brin now with Juju Brin going out the Colts have signed Chris lamman from the practice squad so they're moving the cornerbacks around um shifting things around and with the injury right you have this injury and we had issues last year in the secondary of course now looks like we're going to have some depth issues once again so what are we going to do right we we host a Kila wither spoon we've talked about him multiple times on this channel about going and picking him up I still think that would be a good idea go get a kilo with spoon you also have a guy like xaven Howard still out there and with the amount of CT the the cap space that the Colts still have like this could be an instance where yeah we're we're going to be upset that Chris balard didn't address this sooner and address the depth that corner sooner but we have plenty of c space to go get whoever we want we can get one guy we get two guys presumably um we would give one right uh you look through the list it's not like one of these guys are looking for a situation where they're going to go to a team and not play so maybe we do go um and try to get a guy like xaven Howard and maybe um they go for a veteran guy like Patrick Peterson who with the Vikings and the Steelers over these last few years like um you obviously not everything he used to be but still a good veteran player has made some impactful plays um helped the the Vikings actually win a game when got uh the the pick in the end zone so you know Patrick Peterson is still putting up production he made $7 million last year with the Steelers zav Howard made $18 million last year with the dolphins um you know there are options here it's not like there are a bunch of great options but I mean Jaylen Mills recently got put on the market so hopefully we see the Colts do something right because all offseason I tried to preach like Jaylen Jones people I feel like people are forget about how good Jaylen Jones was last year like he's sticky in coverage um you know like that throw um to really end the game the Nico Collins incredible coverage um you know he just didn't get his hand out enough it was an incredible throw by CJ stown an incredible catch by no Collins so overall um hoping that we go out and really do something impactful here right like you got all this cap space and presumably you're like you're saving your cap space so that if anything happens you can go fill a hole and I'm sitting here looking at it I wouldn't be uh I wouldn't be heartbroken if we went got xaven Howard I think spending the money on him whatever it's going to take I think spending the money on zaven Howard somebody who's had immense success in the NFL been very good in the NFL um you know obviously at 31 years old skills have diminished a little bit right the the physical attributes have diminished a little bit but still for the most part um one of the better Corner certainly one of the better cornerbacks available um maybe it is Patrick Peterson that' be kind of cool we'll see Patrick Peterson in Colts jersey I wouldn't be mad about that one either so we'll see what the Colts decide to do but Juju Brin is out for the year um you know practice today the Colts usually put out updates after I've already uh gone to my day job when I'm working in the evening so uh won't have any updates from that until tomorrow we'll talk about that tomorrow for sure of course we're going to stay up today with any other Colts updates that happen to happen um maybe even
