when they go for the field goal there and keep it a one score game the uh you know it it went from a potentially two possession game to a one possession and we had trust in our offense the whole game that they was going to help us cuz we came out flat we led the first touchdown but our offense still had our back the whole game so we we had faith our offense going to go down and do what they had to do and that's exactly what they did how big of a win is this for you guys and obviously come in here as an underdog nobody you know such a m about you guys as a team with all the new players and come to the road and and rally in the fourth quarter what does it mean for you guys moving forward I think it means a lot it show you know we're a new team new team but it's just nice to see how everybody came together when stuff wasn't going our way was celebration like in a locker room we're just happy to win for it you know what I'm saying the end the end goal of the game is always to win and to know that we we battle adversity throughout the whole game and we still stayed together still believed in each other and we still got the job done it's it's is a lot for us and it's going to it's a lot for a team chemistry I say that did you think they might go for it on that fourth and one and what does it say that they said hey we might get stopped so we're going to try that Feld goal that they missed I don't know what they was trying to do I play a lot of plays I'm sorry run up run up the middle and I think Bo and uh Malik came in behind I think you oh you talking about the last yeah oh I mean we had a blitz CAU up and you know defense we just executed our job we all swarm to the ball and we got off that's all we needed you mention the offense having your back last week they struggled a little bit obviously today they do come through just where' that Faith come from and uh what's it like I guess to see them to really come through you know when you guys need that well we never lost faith in our offense we knew we knew it would they just had some speed bumps and throughout the wave we was going to have they back just like today they had our backs so we're a team we're going to play off each other and we compliment each other well in all three phases so I feel like we did a good job coming all together playing off of each other Cal you've been your year five been through a lot of stuff where does this game I know it's still you know aftermath but where does this win in this performance kind of sit right now for you oh it just feels good I mean it always feels good to get a win especially against a big big 10 opponent I mean we knew coming in here it was going to be a dog fight and uh it's just it's exciting as a team especially the first road game and we came we came here and uh we did what we needed to do to get the job done I mean it wasn't perfect for sure but I mean we came here played as a team and uh just fought till the end and we ended up on top what did you guys see on their touchdown I think it was the third maybe was like a wheel route the guy was kind of wide open in the one corner um you remember that play was on this you know what happened there we just didn't do our job yeah just didn't execute yeah simple how about the you guys been lining up against Nick Mar and Aiden Charles you know all Ball Camp you know for that performance I mean Aiden to bounce back after last week and then Nick with you know game two for what he did I guess what can you say about him um I mean I always had faith in Aiden he's a he's a really good player and Nick Marsh is a young he's a young kid and he's gonna get a lot better too I mean he's a he's shown himself all Camp he's proven himself and uh I'm glad everyone else got to see it today cuz he's a really good player and I think he's going to just get better as he as he develops yeah I mean we seen it all Camp so I wasn't surprised I was just I know y'all surprised first time y'all seen it but they've been doing that all Camp so I'm excited that they got to show it when we needed it so yeah what's the biggest difference this year psychologically where yearo made some of those plays team but this time whenever the challeng I think uh everybody's just much more connected I mean even though we have 6 one new guys I feel like we're a lot more playing for each other and I I think you can feel you can see even on the defense I mean the way people are running through the ball and stuff I mean the offens has got our backs we got their backs I mean you can just feel it we feed off each other's energy and uh like if something goes something goes wrong we always got each other's back so like we it just you can just feel the chemistry I would say it's only three games but um are you at all surprised at how quickly do come together no I mean when you play football the job is to win so that's how that's how we practice we practice to win we don't practice to lose last play kind of walk through because it seemed like you mentioned about pretty EV the ball day you got a little scatter shot thing there like how do you kind of maintain that I mean we it's like end of game I we don't get to go over it but the the importance of when we do go over it like that situation is uh we go over it once or twice a week and we talk about that and like the importance of being able to finish a game like that like not letting him throw the ball around as much just rally into everything and keep everything in front of you and um I mean we practice that and we go over that for that sit for that exact situation so that we can execute it when we need to is the rotation of players on defense helping you with that that Focus towards the end of the game and making sure that everybody I I just say is if we keep us fresh and there's no drop off when we have rotations you guys can go on the road helped you guys at all this week like you win last week obviously but defense has a lot of pen has some slow moments do you think just getting away from things help with Focus or execution anything like that or no uh well for me it was just nice to see how we was going to come together on the road you know this the first trip that everybody first road trip that everybody is playing together so it was just nice to see how we going to come back and especially we was put in a tough situation where we got to call back and fight to win so it's just nice to see that we came together even when it was looking dark and we came out on top so I love seeing that play dar knocking thatall it's awesome I mean that's I mean he's he's a heck of a player and um he's a guy that we could lean on especially to come in the game and execute his job I mean he's a he's a really good player and he's going to be be out there and to do his job and he's a good player and that's it's awesome for him to get back out there and do do his thing it seemed like as well um you know because I know he was on the one rout touch down and Brantley had the pass seem like the short memory that guys have I guess how how you kind of developed that I mean coach Rossy preaches every day like just respond and um he talked about that like all through camp that we've that we've done is respond and uh so good play Bad play just respond and every play has a life of its own so you just got to just go get get get through it pretty much I mean if something bad happens you just got to go next play next play mentality because you can't can't let it hurt the rest of the game anything else Jordan
