joining us um if you have a question on Zoom please raise your hand Susie go ahead morning Laura hi um wondering if you can just talk about the um just overall feeling of the squad integrating new players and getting back to regular season play yeah I think we're excited to get back into it um feels like a long time since we've we've been going into a regular season game yeah a lot of new that we've been integrating in throughout the summer um uh but we're excited to get back out in front of the fans at Len field tomorrow for hopefully what we can make a really special day for multiple reasons thanks Susie Jeff hey Laura I know that uh routine and everything is important uh getting ready in an event match like this what's your challenge get making sure that the the club's really ready on that first moment with all of the emotions that can happen early uh before the M yeah I think you know the one those of those that have been at the club for a long time um have been with Pino for a long time um sry the steam from my tea is wating into my face um have have been doing some stuff around the event um that you know by the time we get ready to kick off for the game tomorrow will'll be really focused on that um and the rest of the team honestly have not really been been impacted tooo much by by all the events um we're trying to keep it as much as possible about us doing our business so you know we want to give Pino the the retirement Jersey celebration she absolutely deserves but I think one of the things that would really make it um icing on the cake for the day would be to get the result that we want as well thanks thanks Jeff Steve H Laura thanks for talking with us this morning when I ask kind of the topic of integrating new players kind of how how that process is going if you expect all of them to be available tomorrow potentially to start and and then otherwise generally kind of injury updates for the team as a whole uh yeah pretty much everyone who's new will be available they're all at different phases of how much um how comfortable and how much they can play honestly um so we'll see what that looks like I think um yeah we don't really have too much injury issues I think we're lose pretty much dayto day right now which is a good sign you know that's that's a that's a really good sign um so we'll probably be making a late decision about how much luk can play if at all and then just to kind of follow up on there we've this has probably been the busiest summer of um transfers in NW history I wonder if you could talk a little bit about kind of the the the movement on the league as a whole and kind of how that might reset the board a little bit for kind of evaluating your opponents and preparing for games and the late run to the playoffs yeah I just think that you know we we're living in a bit of a different world you know there's a lot of things are coming into the league through the CBA which are great um but they change the dynamic of how the League's going to function so maybe that's lent into more movement this summer uh before those things really kick in I don't know um but yeah I think you know it's a it feels like a pretty unique year with eight people getting into the playoffs how tight it is between 8 and 14 and 5 and two you know it seems just quite unique to me um and we always know there's always shocks in this league someone's going to go on a run um someone might go on a run they don't want to get on and we're hoping that we can go on a run that can really give us El the chance to really push to get into the playoffs thanks Steve Susie go ahead it's been a while since youve faced um the courage uh and just wondering if you've seen them change or if it feels like the same kind of threats that they presented in April um are going to be what you expect in this match um I don't think they've changed too much no I think they have a very very clear way they want to play um which is you know you know a great way of playing in my opinion um I think you know if Carolyn is here which I don't know um that changes the dynamic of what we would face I think she's a obviously an exceptional Talent um but outside of that I think everything else would would look pretty similar dependent on personalities and Personnel I feel like they've got similar characteristics in whoever could play there I think Carolyn's the sort of you know Game Changer that could be really different if she if she is available but I think just the way they play their tactical approach their structure um it's very clear what they want to do and they they don't tend to change too much within that and why would they it's it's great thanks Susie any other questions I have just one more um little bit of a tangent uh it was uh you all welcomed kids club members to the um practice this week and just wondering um what that experience was like for you and the players to see so many kids in their families come out yeah it was great I think anytime we can you know get people out to training and interacting with the team is always a a fun thing you know obviously we had the training session on I don't know what day it was whatever day it was um we had Pino's event last night with some of the season ticket holders at um the clubhouse down in Bron and that was amazing um so yeah I think the more stuff we can do where we interact with our community the better it is for us um we really enjoy that we think it's really important um and you know seeing some of those kids come out and get autographs and photos and stuff you know if we can spend 10 minutes of our time doing that um and that can you know change these kids day in a positive light you know that's what we want to
