Cleveland Browns 2024 Season Preview

welcomeing guys to where I preview every single NFL's upcoming 2024 season we're in the AFC North with those with the skate marks I'm sorry to say this guys I'm bringing them up going to get them out the way the skate marks to the NFL the really true skate marks I'm sorry if there's any Browns fans out there I mean I'm sorry you know sorry um you know you know you should blame people that you know that even to this team the skid marks but let's talk about them the Cleveland Browns 2024 season so anyway let's talk about them last again uh last year the they lost wild card to the Texans last year it was a landslide defeat CJ stra really put the skid marks to shame 45 to4 in the Wild Card round uh and uh uh you know 14 14 to 45 you see 45 uh really again a lot of questions would raised for the Browns but you look at the Browns last couple years I mean Kevin you got Andrew Barry GM he's been there since 2019 that he hired Kevin stepensky Kevin St stepensky has been there since 2020 and they've only reached the divisional round once since Kevin zinsky has been the head coach for the brown and that was in that 2020 season when uh the Chiefs defeated them 17 to 22 so in the past four years he only got they only got to the division round once and uh you've got to look really at the quarterbacks now again Baker Mayfield in 2016 you know that really was a great decision and then getting the guy they should have got back in 2017 Deshawn Watson they finally got their guy in 201 22 he only played six games he played six games last year uh six G yeah six games last year um again you again you did get injur for most of the games you had to play Dar Darius Thompson last year as well so again you swapped out a lot of quarterbacks jacobe uh jacobe came in as well for a couple games so again the Browns need to find out cor position in my opinion after this season I would cut losses with deshan Watson cut him and find somebody else in the draft um find some else in the draft because again in my opinion it's it's a disaster again it's good for the Texans like they they got rid of him in 2022 and they got they got the guar J St but for the Browns the Browns have got desan Watson again but again last year he had seven touchdowns last year 115 p passing yard so he didn't have a bad year he only played six games got inj played six started six Darius Thompson came in he was the rookie quarterback last year had a couple of games uh didn't really do didn't really show much but um the people that they brought in um from the sign that they brought in they got Ken dorsy former offensive coordinator at the bill for a couple years so again they're bringing in somebody that you know worked on the job all the hoping that maybe that could rub off on deshun Watson don't know I don't know if that's going to happen but they got Haynes um M running back also he knows Ken dorsy um from his time with the bills they got jamus Winston uh from they got James Winston in from the from the Saints um so let see again you know maybe you're going to play James Winston for season in my opinion but also they bring in Tyler as well he was a backup at he has a backup Lamar Jackson back in Baltimore uh again you can play him or I would have Tim or James Winston in my opinion over deshaan Watson then Jerry Judy traded Jerry Judy for a six fifth round and sixth round pick this year in the draft so Jerry Jude comes in from Denver um again I think that's good addition again you look at who they have though they have a David Bell they have a Cedric Tilman who they drafted last year also bring in the addition of jry Judy coming in and also Haynes coming in you've got a a good offensive cord there and also Amari Cooper there as well it's just in my opinion I think the quarter position needs to be addressed cut your losses with deshan Watson at the end of this year in my opinion talk your losses with him and just move on and draft somebody else again you've got options in Tyle Tyle Huntley and jamus Wiston for a stop Gap and also Darius Thompson yeah I don't think he's the guy but you can stop him in for a year and then you draft somebody else in for 2025 the people that they drafted in this year though Michael Hunter junr defensive tackle I've seen him he does look a good Prospect and I'm I'm interested to see how he gets on in the how he develops in the NFL Zach Zin guard again some protection for thean wats I was going to play quarterback and then they bring in Nathaniel Watson at linebacker uh the guy looks pretty impressive I've seen a couple of Tes of him look pretty impressive then miles Harden miles Harden comes in as cornerback and then the last pick that they had was uh Joan Briggs don't know if he's going to really play much but he could have a couple cameos at defensive tackle he' be a good rotation option for Michael Hunter Jr uh but again for this year I still again for the Browns they're not going to win the Super Bowl anything I'm not going to crazy with my predictions I see them win in the I see them going second in the AFC North this year and potentially gain a wild card playoff position I don't see them going while but I think this will probably be the last year for Kev steinski and the last year for Andrew Barry as GM because again you look at this talent that you've got like you've got Amari Cooper David Bell Cedric tomman you also have these new additions coming in like Jerry Judy you've got to really get better you've got to really do more than what you have with this rostler you've got a pretty decent um of a team you need to really do more even with Des Watson you got a pretty decent roster and you're not even getting to the division round like at least the whole thing is that that with Desa Watson trade is you want to win a Championship but you you haven't appeared in in a championship game or a division R in 2020 I think Kevin steinski and GM Andrew Barry if they don't get to at least a division round this year or a championship g a championship game fire them both because again you can have all this good parts and you're not really getting over the hump
