very happy Zack Brown congratulations I mean that was absolutely phenomenal could you even believe the Gap the margin it was uh pretty awesome maxford pretty awesome uh I mean Lando drove perfectly team did a great job strategy was great uh I think Oscar had enough Pace to get Charles there but Charles drove great and uh Ferrari was fast so uh close to getting both on the podium but uh yeah I mean that was a that was a big win fastest lap at the end so uh some celebrating tonight and then get ready for Monza first of all huge congratulations I want to say it's been a long time coming you guys have had some victories this season already but it just feels like you've been so close to putting it together so many times and today it just felt like it was never in doubt I mean are you surprised as the at the Gap that you guys had there today it was a big gap I mean we knew we were fast all all weekend so I'm not uh I'm not shocked but I'm uh I guess pleasantly surprised at the sides of the Gap but once Lando got in clean air he uh he controlled it pretty uh pretty pretty easily so it was great to see but uh we'll see what happens in in Monza I think it's be an exciting nine nine more races to go you know we've not seen a gap like that from the winner of the Grand Prix in quite a while really to have that sort of dominance obviously B big upgrades here this weekend how much of it is upgraded how much of it is track specific is this what we're going to see re in reite going forward for you um you know don't ultimately know about each individual track till we get there uh I think the upgrades clearly worked all the men and women at McLaren have done a and continue to do a a great job uh I think we need to keep our feet on the ground with how competitive Formula 1 is and uh not assume that's going to be a repeat every uh every weekend but I hope we can do it a few more times something that was striking was just how calm Lando seemed throughout that race H he didn't seem actually that phase by losing the lead at the start because he ultimately knew he had the pace to take it back is that how you felt as well or you bit nervous it it was it was pretty clear he was he was faster so he uh you know it was nice to see him pass on the track cuz the right around then we were starting to think about Pit Stop strategy and undercut overcut but uh next thing we know he uh flew past them and then pulled away so he definitely was able to control this race and let's see what happens in uh in Monza just to take a look at the other side of the garage obviously you've got two cars in the top four so it's a great result for the team anyway but Lando just had this dominance today that it didn't seem like Oscar managed to extract the same out of the car do you know what that came down to well Oscar was always behind someone so I don't think we really saw his his maximum Pace you know he got in clean air he was quick he was as quick as Lando uh at certain points but he was always behind someone so I think his Pace was probably a lot closer than the uh the Gap obviously at the end there like you say you tried to offset pastri strategy a little bit extend that first in to get the tire um Delta at the end but didn't quite work against the Clair ultimately was there any thought to do anything different later on in the race like Mercedes did or was that just always out of the question no that was that was our plan we we pretty much knew it was a one stop unless something happened so we were talking about things like safety car uh strategies you know you saw the the Mercedes go on to uh soft tires that didn't really seem to improve the situation so you know unfortunately we were just a little bit in dirty air all race for Oscar thinking about the Constructors Championship it's now down to 30 points the deficit to Red Bull we can show you the table there getting closer pretty VI we still have a ways to go so come on then we have a ways to go and uh but yeah getting closer so very uh very exciting now did you make any promises yesterday cuz when we spoke to you yesterday you said you hadn't made any promises yet are we going to see more tattoos me promises I don't know why I'm always on the receiving end okay what what would you like to see them do then in that case that's a good question I'll answer that in Monza cuz I definitely want to see him do something well that's the point though isn't it because the races are coming in thick and fast now we've got Monza we got Baku Singapore lots of different configurations very different types of challenges do you feel confident that you've got the fastest car whatever the track is I think that's hard to tell I think we clearly have a very fast car we've got some uh more fun stuff coming for Monza uh cuz obviously it's a different type of track here's quite quite a bit of high down for us it's very low down for us so I think we're we'll be ready for Monza but uh let's see the Red Bull was very fast through the quick stuff I think they'll be quick there great stuff we'll let you go and enjoy a brief celebration don't go too mad okay
