fight show with stormmy bman for this Saturday August 31st 2024 this is the postf fight show for Pacho versus siki fight wrapped up about 20 minutes ago and uh ended with an outstanding abrupt body shot delivered by Diego Pacho to Matt seui who had never been stopped before in his career out of his two losses he had never been stopped he's been down on the canvas and gotten up to fight back but had never been stopped and this was an outstanding performance by Diego Pacho another player in the super middleweight division we've seen Talent have a chance to develop and Advance with the stalled stalemate of the title holder at the division at the top of the division and that's okay because that Sun is setting while other moons are on the horizon man this is an exciting time for the sport of boxing to see so many young fighters who are coming along some of them will replace the Old Guard some of them will continue the same lack of value that the Old Guard will leave in their hands but then yet and still there'll be others who will look to set a new president in being competitive and delivering to real fight supporters what they crave and that's comp competitive matches where Fighters show more than just their bank accounts yeah so here we are at the end of this evening wrapping things up I believe the fight card started just before 700 p.m. Central Time and uh again theone does it where they stretch things out but there were entertaining matches sprinkled throughout the uh entire card and I'm going to say this with the way that Diego Pacho closed the show people can go home or move on with their evening if you weren't attending the event [Music] live feeling good because that's what you want to see the type of performance that he put on that's what you want to see when Fighters are able to close the show I had remarked on social media that I feel like looking at he and seli in the ring together seli is 35 years old he's 23 and because he's a tall 6'4 lanky super middleweight I was saying that he looks like he still needs to fill out a little bit even though he's 23 I'm only 23 yeah that 23 is a magical number in the sport of boxing during this particular era isn't it but he still may fill out just a bit more but my goodness listen uh Jose Ben aidz senior is working well with this young man currently and he's looking good he's looking sharp and I have to say this about Jose Ben aidz senior we know that he trains his sons but you'll be able to see exactly what type of trainer he is working with other Fighters that are not his son and uh right now he's looking pretty good with this young man here in Diego Pacho so it was an exciting performance with him I talked about him over a year ago I said that he was going to be a young fighter to watch on the horizon and he hasn't let me down this was his first step up as far as trying to enter the pool of contention see Fighters go from Prospect to being known on television and fighting regular on television and sometimes they'll slip right into title shots in this for belt area era uh interim titles Regional titles and World titles are always right there for these guys so you don't always get to see the natural transition but when they do it the proper way they can learn and grow and develop all at the same time and even he had remarked coming into this fight this was the most experienced fighter that he's faced and it could be the toughest fight of his career and it very well may have been the toughest fight of his career in not so much in what Matt siki was doing in the ring but being he now headlining an event he going in and against an exper experienced veteran who had faced former world champions and had never been stopped and someone who has shown himself to be a guy that just because he gets knocked to the floor he can get up and fight back you see those are tricks of the trade that you would want to see a prospect becoming a contender go through the process and Diego did it with flying colors tonight and so that's why this could have been the toughest fight of his career there was pressure on he there was was pressure from the opponent and there was pressure for the expectation of delivering something entertaining and he check marked each box excellently great stuff let me go to the chat and see who we got in the building with us this evening appreciate the flow of uh whatever transpires earlier today I had a chance to revisit some Pernell Whitaker fights Michael Moore against uh Bert Cooper all of this on his own by the way they had some of these old fights um broadcast and to sit up and do that to enjoy those fights like that [Music] it's it's pretty cool because you learn that history often repeats itself in boxing you just have to watch Boxing enough to notice it and I have an appreciation for everything that has come before I don't I'm not one of those that just live in the now in the moment appreciation for history that's why I was able to speak on what about Diego progressing from Prospect to Contender mongia has not had a professional performance transitioning from Prospect to [Music] Contender like Diego did tonight yes mongia has 40 fights but several of those fights he's had questionable decisions which could have easily gone the other way and arrest of a lot of those opponents that he's faced were fights where he went in and and he had all of the advantages but it is great to see a young fighter Elevate they're talking about if PCO gets a uh call from Canelo though he may not be ready for it he might he should take it or whatever but he faces what's in front of him a great deal better than mongia does and I think a lot of what Mia mongia has done and where he's been is not necessarily his fault all the way De La Hoya who I believe is uh kind of guiding and steering uh monga's career presently um he could have done some things differently but it is what it is 40 fights under your belt is still 40 fights under your belt even if the opponents didn't bring you much to learn this is one of the reasons why I speak about guys shouldn't just be so interested in knocking someone out I'd rather you have a lot of rounds under your belt than have all Knockouts because when you discover that you can put someone away then it's time to work on other things develop other aspects of your career now I'mma tell you the veteran move that Pacho pulled on seli tonight he boxed him very well he got him used to getting hit with his Jabs and and hooks seli even was countering with his own catch and shoot fight uh uh re responses like that but Diego hadn't thrown any body shots and when he finally did drop that left hook to the liver seli was not even looking to defend himself he was wide open for the shot and the fight was over just like that isn't that amazing how boxing Works isn't isn't that amazing to see a fighter do that and execute to that degree it's very impressive [Music] yeah it was an interesting night of boxing the opening fight that took place between uh Jenny fukes and uh what was her name uh Adel Ruiz fukes broke her right thumb in the first round it came through the skin of her finger they showed it when the fight was over when she took her glove off that woman fought 10 Rounds with a broken thumb she broke her thumb in the first round man boxing is a sport where you really have to be dialed in and focused I'm telling you because to have a right thumb protruding through the skin the bone but to continue to fight as if nothing's wrong for nine more rounds you see why Fighters need to be respected and saluted For Your Entertainment for their means of earning a living what they go through amazing and fuks is a southpaw by the way so that meant she had to use the right hand even more because that's her jaob hand listen [Music] respect she won her first title that was if I'm not mistaken a super super featherweight bout in the women's division of boxing and she she did very well she did very well also on the card was uh shev Clark uh who took on aect bar Apachi Apachi is a fighter I think from Africa I think he's from Nigeria and he is a fighter that's very tough very strong hard punching guy and he he gave shev a good fight man I I like I like um seeing Fighters get challenged and this was uh shev's first real challenge at 33 he has to step up his Pace because in the uh Cruiserweight division he he's got a you know he's got to step on the gas but he he did very well he got rocked I thought he might even you know face going down but he didn't he stood on his feet but he took some shots in that fight he took some big shots big time trying to see what I got some for I'm trying to pull information up on another screen here see we got some more kind of navigate those rough Seas you know and that's what chevin Clark was able to was able to do tonight against uh Apachi but I saw some limitations there where he likes to be strong but that doesn't M necessarily make him good himself and he was a little more Adept you know technical wise technique wise and he was able to do some things but um he was tested as far as his fortitude and and he stopped his opponent tonight and uh Miguel Maraga now I'm going to say this about uh nunz you know he's supposed to be a highly touted uh Mexican Fighter coming out of uh caloa Mexico but I'm training of a professional [Music] fighter they are eating well training daily several times a day running miles you're you're supposed to be living clean there should should be no impurities showing in March against Angelino Cordova 12 round decision that he got Cordova was down twice in round three but uh it's been changed to a no contest because he popped dirty but guess what Martinez had back me too y'all he did and remember back in uh 2022 March of 2022 he lost a unanimous decision to uh chocolate tto and couldn't compete for the title at that time because he came in he he missed weight so he had some suspect things going on with him for a minute for a minute for we're back to Diego Paco's performance man when is the last time you seen a body shot like that since Mickey Ward maybe that was a heck of a shot man and he got full leverage and extension on it and everything now that fight between the super bantamweights Arturo cardinas trained by Robert Garcia from the uh Robert bar Garcia boxing Academy and Jesus Argento you know listen Jesus fought very well man I had that fight scored a draw I had a draw it was a very good performance by Jose and cardus was concerned about Jesus's power he spoke of it early in the fight in the corners so Robert was trying to get him to do some things and going into the 10th round I had it I had it uh five rounds to four for cardinas and I was like if if he comes out and doesn't win the 10th round I got it a draw and that's exactly what happened Jesus won the 10th on my card I had it to draw one of those judges had it like 90 to 90 he had it 100 to 92 or something he it was something really wide I was like what Jesus won more than two rounds bro [Music] yeah but when beop caught Oscar it was Oscar's reaction to the shot that made it more D dramatic but beop had him in close and just kind of like you know he got good leverage on it and and touched him to the body but it wasn't like that shot that Diego threw Diego was he he [Music] overall I thought it was a decent Saturday card you know in between some of these bigger fights that we're having so I don't have any complaints I enjoyed it I watched everything but again you know I did a breakdown video on uh Pacho and I said if he's able to stop Matt seli man that says a lot for him it he stopped a guy that Danny Jacobs couldn't stop Gabe Rosado couldn't stop you know what I mean Demetrius Andre couldn't wouldn't stop them the guy's been in there with some good Fighters man and some of those guys are noted punchers we going to hear from my brother the focus ball heavyweight title um this coming Tuesday you've got Nao Inu taking on uh someone uh that I'm not familiar with but he's fighting in Japan listen there's boxing after boxing after boxing and there's something in the bag for everybody and October is just going to be littered with fights I mean of course you've got the big bitter be bivel fight with the undercards including everyone from Shakur Stevenson Joe Cordina then you got Fabio wardley taking on FR Clark and jaai opaya is coming back on that card as well so just know there's a lot of boxing to be seen you guys also in late October Jack catall and Regis prograde which has been rescheduled to that date in October I think it's the 25th or 26th so we we got a lot going on there's going to be some fights in November and then of
