Mike Tomlin on Nick Herbig’s performance in preseason: ‘He’s taken a jump’

on the other side of the ball Nick herck had two sacks what have you seen from him throughout training camp and preseason in terms of his growth and his role on this defense you know he's behaving like a guy that's you know been a lap around the track really we we want to see significant growth in all those second-year players and I think really he's an example of that but he's not alone we've like what we've seen from guys like Spencer Anderson as well um he's just taking a jump he's been there before um he's finding his footing man he he wants to be impactful and and obviously we're going to find find a role for a guy like that whether he's quote unquote a starter or not when he's got an opportunity to be significant and he's shown that not only in stadium but in the in the team development work
