thank you very much happy to be here I mean we were just talking about Super Bowl I mean this was insane the halftime show what were your highlights from the day I mean listen you know it's nice to see Usher back he and I did a movie together thousand years ago called she's all that so I was recalling all those moments uh I was rooting for the 49ers me too you know um I thought they were going to going to pull it off going to pull it through uh but you know Casey's a great team so what can you do Taylor Swift is a great team you know I thought about that that came Taylor Swift I thought about that I was like there's there's a world out there where Taylor Swift won the Super Bowl like my niece like my my goddaughter everybody's like oh yeah no Taylor Swift she won the Super Bowl totally how many extra viewers for the Super Bowl were because of Taylor Swift which is great I think it's wonderful a new audience well we're also in the middle of award season and your TV son from This Is Us Sterling K Brown was nominated for an Oscar and we caught up with him this morning at the Oscar at the nominees lunch in and he has message for you take a look what up Ma I hope all is well with you my brother Sterling is here at the Oscar nominations lunch just letting you know okay wishing you all the best my friend have fun enjoy life you're married congratulations wow oh yeah congratulations by the way it's funny it's like that givs me even emotional these days you know you see when your kids growing up and doing the town um well you raised him right no Sterling K he he came to us fully formed uh that that was that was nothing Mandy Mo and I did at all um no we're all incredibly proud as as a TV family you know about his accomplishments and everything and Justin Harley uh and premiering his new show after the Super Bowl tracker yeah exactly I think it's it's wonderful to see everybody moving on and doing great work and continue to do great work yeah you know it's exciting now do you have any fatherly advice for Sterling as he takes on this Oscar nomination and could potentially bring home the gold have fun bu just enjoy yourself you deserve it you deserve everything man enjoy it I love that well he congratulated you on your wedding yes congratulations much Newly Weds thank you how how how was it was it intimate it was quiet you know like I think you guys know I'm not want to to you know be out in the market yelling screaming about anything that I do other than you know movies and TV show and stuff like that um we had a nice quiet time it was beautiful it was lovely uh some family and close friends were there and uh it was wonderful time well let's get into your other big news done with the Quiet let's get to some boobs to the big stuff land of the bad your new movie it is action-packed but there's also a real Brotherhood um at heart and that is what attracted you to to that role uh well I do a lot of work uh in the military space personally you know uh I have a lot of friends that are still in uniform do a lot of work with veterans uh a lot of advocacy for our gold star families so families at lost loved ones in combat and what I saw was uh you know this great script that had a lot of action but had a lot of uh heart Behind these characters and what they're working for and you're talking about a Brotherhood I mean Liam Luke Ricky myself you know we were all there looking after one another supporting one another just uh doing our best uh as goes in the real world you know there's a a great Community uh in our armed services that are looking out for one another so it just it able to flex a new muscle you know do something different speaking of flexing a new muscle I mean you guys all look insane in this yeah was there a gym on set because I thought it was craft Services I thought you go to you know sets to chill out you guys must have been in the gym all day all night we were training quite a bit so you know when you're playing somebody as specialized as Army Special Forces you know you you want to have given honesty to the role you want to put a lot into it uh and there's the the proficiency with the Weaponry there a proficiency with the movements the drilling tactically but then also yeah I mean yeah look at Ricky Jes this is crazy holy God this is crazy look at these men come on I had to cover up top cuz I couldn't compete with the three but no we were all we were all like in the gym before set after set I mean you know you you're working like going up and down mountains and hills and you know you're you got these heavy rifles and everything and you got to be in shape so I mean I was was running several miles a day with kits on on top of like training with weights on top of like the drills and movements we were doing with the weapons and we were all doing it and then we're just gorging ourselves during lunch and dinners just chck bre Galore I mean it was a lot of calories we all
