Star Wars Outlaws Is A Mess

Star Wars Outlaws is a complete mess so I went down to X and Twitter and see what I could find in terms of early reviews Clips try to find out what people that have already access to the game have been saying about it so I typed # Star Wars Outlaws in the search bar and down the rabbit hole we go so there's some funny clips circulating the platform a few interesting posts that we're going to be check and we're going to be led into the Metacritic website and we also going to have like a quick look into the goods and bads from a review so links for everything are going to be available in the show me more section if you want to check them out for yourself and in case you haven't noticed this isn't script so apologies If I Stumble a little bit on my thoughts or in my words I'm just making up as we go so let Rock now the first post comes from Grumps how did it get worse Star Wars Outlaws from trailer to shipped in-game model now coming from someone that has absolute garbage Hardware I'm still on a ryzen 5 2600 and a Nvidia 1070ti so I'm kind of used to have like really bad Graphics what I think is's trying to mention here is is also like a followup from a post that he did a few days ago where he mentions that the actress that did the motion capture for the hero of the story here it's kind of like ugly fight and I have an issue with that because I think that the animated characters don't necessarily need to look like the people that voice them or motion capture them unless it's in the contract and unless they said that they were going to use their likeness for the game so I'm okay with having like the characters in the game to a certain extent if the game play is really really good this is because I play with ugly characters all the time I play with ugly shaders all the time people look into my Clips people look into my gameplay and say like why does it look like [ __ ] and I have to say it's because I run absolute garbage Hardware so I'm kind of used to that what I don't really like is that they do this on purpose where they can make the characters look a little bit more High candy and they don't so I see where he's coming from from here but I kind of usually play with ugly characters so I pulled another one from him just to kind of make it up for that one and this one it's also like really funny so basically What's Happening Here is the AI is not reacting because the character is not reacting now if you play games like a RPGs and stuff like if you've been playing Wukong you notice this on B boss fights a lot of the times the boss doesn't react until you start doing something there's like a few bosses where once you start charging once you start moving drinking running or something that's when they react but here this is absolutely blatant this is really really blatant the fact that they're not doing anything there's no way they could have missed uh the character there but they did so this looks like absolutely atrocious this look this looks bad this looks this looks very very bad all right we're moving into the next one and here we got like the guy from black myth Wukong the one that is playing the guitar again this I I could see this happen on like a low-end machine I'm not sure if these people are playing on Console or PC but I can see this happening sometimes on lowend machines oh wait a minute they're playing on Console cuz like I see the the controls there and in this case like yes it is a bad book and it shouldn't be happening uh if it is on PC sometimes there could be like uh I don't know low Hardware like mine just badly rendering it's still unexcusable in my in my opinion especially because we're talking about a AAA game that costs so much right now this one uh I've seen this post by these two people and a few more people posting the exact same clip so I don't don't know exactly who the clip is from but uh I'm still going to play it anyway I showed this to another friend of mine as well and the animations are just atrocious like first there's the back slap the backand slap you know knocking out someone which is so unbel so so ridiculous and then there's just like the floating around right in front of all the enemies because the game couldn't find the game the the the place to hide the it it's just absolutely atrocious animation and very very bad optimization it's it's ridiculous it shouldn't be released in this state so we're moving on into this one and yet another error this one is from PlayStation if I'm not mistaken cuz I think I saw a square and you got caught you don't say there's like all the enemies are stacking up and again this is rendering issues and this is It's atrocious for a game this price it should shouldn't be happening like now this one here it starts like I says like I review Star Wars Outlaws and I'm bummed to say he didn't jive with me as a massive Star Wars fan Andromeda level motion capture uh constantly forced and frustrating stealth segments without the proper mechanics to support it huge missed out opport opportunity with the reputation system that is extremely easy to manipulate NYX is cute and the worlds look pretty soft call it and he has a revieww here which I again uh you can follow the links in the description below to go and find it for Mr mdy Place uh and what I think is referencing here with this clip is the fact that this is so Bland this looks like it was released about 10 or 15 years ago and you would give it a pass at that time but for a AAA game in 2024 with years of development I don't think so and I don't think so and I have a theory for this it's just Ubisoft reusing their assets one more time I think they have like a G drive with slor uncore assets and then people just like take them and then resem them and use them for the next game now I I found this one interesting it's it comes from Pirate Nation Star Wars Outlaws drops to 2030 FPS on a 4090 in Ultra HD with dlss enabled now G4 GeForce RTX 4090 it's like uh we're talking about like a really expensive graphic card and the fact that the really expensive graphic card still isn't enough uh Firepower to power this game or to to to render the game it's kind of worry if it drop if it's dropping to for to 20 to 40 FPS my poor graphic card is either going to take flight or it's going to explode in fact I don't even think I'm going to be trying this game at all cuz it just it looks so horribly bad the next one uh comes from Droid where there's a picture where he's asking Gemini Gemini uh can I get Star Wars Outlaw on Outlaw on Playstation with Ubisoft plus and it says like no you cannot get it with PlayStation with Ubisoft plus it's a subscription service that gives you access to the library but it's not available for PlayStation but when he ask about Xbox is available for Xbox and his response is to get [ __ ] now I think this is two different companies offering a service and either you you choose like one of the companies or the other right you you choose Playstation or Xbox if you can afford you go for both if you're really that that much of like a fanboy for one or the other you stick with one I would never give my uh details to PlayStation because in this country we we need to give D confirmation to create a PlayStation account and I'm not going to do that I they they keep getting hacked all the time and I know that my information is going to be out there like sooner or later so I'm not going to create like a a PlayStation Network I'm not saying that Xbox is so much better but it I think is this is just like a service being offered by one company not another I don't think it's too bad but I thought it was funny enough to to include that here uh this one uh from rabu TV says I'm not sure if I I have no idea what that says uh I'm not sure if I pronounced it correctly it's been here since I study French so I i' say I probably mispronounced like a few words there and I think that he's saying when I enter the game that's when I say whatever from software as G gave us not that's not right or that that's bad uh from what I take from the images that he posted wait translate post oh enable to fetch translation okay let go uh Star Wars Outlaws they gave us 77 January favorable favorable and then they gave black myth Wukong 81 and the third picture is Elden ring shadow of the earth tree 95 now a lot of people say that black myth Wukong deserves like much more than 81 and it's kind of I don't know I played Black mate Wukong and it was my first arpg in absolutely years I never played a Souls game and I don't usually play with a controller unless it's for driving or flying and I found the game extremely difficult mostly because I'm just a keyboard mouse kind of player and I was trying not to go to the well I'm still I still haven't gone to the keyboard and mouse but it's also the type of game that I don't play and also I'm old as [ __ ] so my reflexes are not what they used to be so obviously I'm going to find the the game a little bit challenging when I compare it to some of my friends on Steam they have half of the they they they completed twice as much as I did in the game with half of the hour so the problem is me but I can see a lot of people finding the game like really inaccessible or kind of hard and not giving it like a 95% like if I had to give like a a review to Wukong I would probably give it like something like this I would give it like an 80 90 but then that's by my standards right uh from what I've seen from out outlaw lo I wouldn't give it a 77 and this is actually what other people have done so when we go into the Metacritic AO gamer here gives it a 60 I thought this this was the AO gamer from UK it's actually the AOG gamer from Portugal we're going to be looking into the review in a second but before that I wanted to just check show you guys here that the AO gamer AO gamer the one from UK actually gave it a 40 and it just says like death by 1,000 Huds if nothing else I've had a wonderful time playing sabak the new variant Castle sabak invented for Star Wars Outlaws is infinitely morish a single card game that takes elements of blackjack and poker and a few others and blends them into the imminently snable bit of video game gambling in the simplest turns four players are each dealt a hand of two cards and take turns through three rounds to make uh to attempt to make a pair of the two lowest numbers possible drawing a new card costs a token and there coming anywhere but first at the end of each set of rounds when you're out of tokens you're out of the game less player standing wins I could play it all day just like yeah the game is kind of [ __ ] but like there was a game inside the game that was actually kind of good uh we're going to be scrolling down to the to the bottom here because it doesn't give us like a goods and bads which is something that I got from the other review so this is why we're checking uh the review from Brun galone uh it's in Portuguese I didn't I didn't translate this and I can roughly translated it's been a while since uh I've read and uh spoke Portuguese but it says like uh in a bunch of triple action and Adventures third person that could compensate for the lack of originality with a good story and exciting scenes but he can't do it in Adventures uh so uh Star Wars uh action and adventure should leave us fascinated and entertained entertained not indifferent it's been a while uh I don't want to be reading like too much because like I might just make a mess out of this but basically what it let what he saying here is in a time where AAA games like the the video game industry is not so much loved we live in an era where the AAA development has like a lot of controversy and and is very much criticized for playing too much safe with uh being afraid to uh take risks that could throw away games or uh push Gamers away which could be like very very dangerous for projects that are super expensive uh I haven't I haven't really got much into all these review but I did click a little bit of this of the video and it's a 30 32-minute video the graphics don't don't look too bad but like I said I'm used to absolutely [ __ ] Graphics so I don't usually uh say anything about this uh for the most part I just like when the the games are just enjoyable to play so that's it if I if there's some good gaml I can look past it if you know what if you know what I mean like this brings me back to I don't know Quake tree with green screens and and green shaders and green Walls and green everything and just shooting if you know you know if you know you know uh anyways uh links for everything is going to be in the description below but what I wanted to focus really was at the end here because he gives like the pros and and uh the the pros and cons and he says for the pros uh so this means like uh is like shorten the space with a trailblazer so it's probably he found it fun to go from like uh to go from one one spot to another with a Trailblazer and this is the soundtrack so this is the good things the bad things is like uh graphic quality uh AI which we saw a lot of bugs we saw as well the narrative uh doesn't uh doesn't Captivate and it doesn't like the cast like the the games like the the the people involved in the game the hooks um so the emotional hooks they don't uh they don't work so they're probably like just trying to do some use some member berries there in the game and it says like it doesn't work um there's no exciting new ideas there's like a lot of experience uh so M okay so he's using like a lot of ideas that it's just like copied from somewhere so nothing Innovative and there aren't good boss fights so he gives it a three star so if he gives it a 60 I think he makes sense right two 46 8 100 so that's why he a three star here but uh I'd say like it's probably like a lot less so yeah uh I had to go into into this right you just you you have to go into chat GPT and then ask things these kind of things I just did this for fun like I don't even know exactly why I did this but I thought it was like fun to to go in and Eng check this so I said like so what's the general consensus about Star Wars Outlaws uh is the game as shitty as people claim it to be uh what's your take on this and I wanted to see like what chat GPT would say about this I don't know like I I'm weird like that hey come on like just type this quickly um what's your take on it and how much would you rate if you were a if you were to play the game so chat GPD said like search three s I didn't check which sites but I think he links them at the end of this and says that there's like some mixed reviews the game has been praised for its authentic portrayal of the Star Wars universe and from what we see I don't think that's that's the case players often feel like they're truly part of this galaxy far far away this open world design allows for a lot of exploration inside activities which many find enjoyable and immersive this comes from games Rider and tech radar like we might check them out uh and then Chachi GPD would rate it as 7.5 out of 10 so just a little bit below like what everyone has been saying with 80 by 80 because they they still want to stay in the access media right they still want to get the games being sent to them like earlier for review it's a solid game that offers a lot of Star Wars fan servers and then I said like listen cuz this is a sentiment that I have like for so long is the fact that I believe that Ubisoft has like a a g drive and then they has like the world assets and then they just pull stuff from there and then risky build a shop and then they call it the AAA and then charge you 120 quid or 150 quid and then people that actually go in and buy this kind of stuff so I think it's it's kind of weird and chat with was like your Tor isn't far off from what many gamers and critics have observed about ubisoft's development uh practices Ubisoft has often criticized for using a formula approach to the game design where they seem to recycle assets yeah they do that all the time uh they say he's stung and cheek I don't think he's stung and cheek I don't think it's stung and cheek at all I think it's like it's it's it's exactly what they do and uh in the end like I just say like they do be scummy though do don't they and and then Chach goes like yeah Ubisoft has faced a lot of criticism for practice that some people definitely see as scummy uh and then that's it right that's all I have for you guys today I wanted to to check like see what people were like thinking about like the game and then see if I could find like these early clips and and whatnot and it was just like super blasted just go in and then check them all out I don't think I'm going to be buying the game I don't have like uh uh money to just like waste on this uh so I'll waste it on some other good games going around so if
