Metro Detroit Weather: Warm and dry for days to come

WHETHER WE'LL TAKE WHAT WE HAVE HERE ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH WITH THE PROTECTION OF THE ATMOSPHERE AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS WORKING IN OUR FAVOR THIS TIME AROUND. WE'RE HOLDING ON TO THE SUNSHINE OUT THERE ACROSS METRO DETROIT. >> BUT IT'S IN FAVOR OF OUR FRIENDS TO THE SOUTH. THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE STILL DEALING WITH WHAT'S LEFT OF TROPICAL STORM FRANCINE, HAPPY TO SAY IT HAS SOME SPEED TO IT, THOUGH, TO THE NORTHEAST AT 12 MILES PER HOUR. SO IT'S NOT GOING TO STICK AROUND FOR LONG WINDS UP TO 2.45 MILES AN HOUR, GUSTING TO 60. AND I WANT YOU TO SEE THE HIGH PRESSURE THAT GIVES US THE SUNSHINE AND THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER WILL ALSO PLAY SOME DEFENSE AGAINST THAT SYSTEM, BLOCKING IT FROM PROGRESSING NORTH. IN FACT, IT'S KIND OF GOING TO RAIN ITSELF OUT AND GET SHEARED APART TO A DEGREE TO THE SOUTH HERE IN THIS AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE IS PARTLY TO BLAME FOR THAT TAKING PLACE. BUT IT'S FULLY TO BLAME FOR THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER THAT WE'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING. BUT IT'S LEADING TO SOME DRIER CONDITIONS WERE ABNORMALLY DRY. THAT'S STARTING TO SNEAK INTO METRO DETROIT. AND I'M SURE THAT COMES AS NO SURPRISE BASED ON HOW HE'S BEEN AS OF LATE 62 FOR DOWNTOWN RIGHT NOW. DEW POINTS AT 58 CLOSE TO THAT NUMBER WITH THE LIGHT WINDS. THAT'S THE PERFECT RECIPE TO PRODUCE SOME FOG. SO WE HAVE SOME VISIBILITY ISSUES IN SOME SPOTS FROM ANN ARBOR TO ADRIAN TO MONROE. SO DENSE FOG ADVISORIES ARE NOT IN EFFECT FOR TODAY, BUT WE HAVE ISSUES OUT THERE FOR TODAY AND CONDITIONS WILL GET BETTER A LITTLE BIT LATER THIS WEEK. SO LET'S TALK ABOUT THE NUMBERS WERE IN THE 50'S AND THE 60'S FOR THE MOMENT. BUS STOP FORECAST WILL KEEP US THERE. BUT THE BRIGHT SKIES WILL HELP US REACH. THE 70'S IS EARLY HAS AROUND 9 TO 10:00AM SO FRONT BY RECESS IS GOING TO BE WARM OUT THERE AND WE WON'T STOP FOR THE RIDE HOME FOR THE KIDS AT THE BUS. STOP MID TO UPPER 80'S WILL BE ON THE HORIZON FOR TONIGHT. WE'RE RIGHT BACK AT IT WITH 50'S AND 60'S RETURNING. AND LET'S TALK ABOUT SOME CHANGES HERE. WE'LL SEE TEMPERATURES HOLDING STEADY IN THE 80'S UNTIL THE NEXT WEEK. THIS TIME NEXT WEEK WE HAVE A CHANCE OF SEEING SOME RAIN
