you know a running back that people don't seem to mention anymore Maran the Barbarian Barber now barara entered the league as a fourth round pick out of Minnesota where he started alongside Lawrence in a very talented backfield now Maran never hit the thousand yard threshold in the NFL but he always ran with power and conviction two things that frankly the Dallas Cowboys could have used a bit of this season they could certainly use it in the upcoming postseason I don't remember him being brought down with arm tackles at the one yard line like we saw against the Lions but I digress now Marion wasn't the kind of back to dance on you or wiggle out of trouble but he was Shifty enough when the situation called for it and if that didn't work well he always had the option to just run you over make you a speed bum if you will and that's an option he clearly relished exercising on a very regular basis he wasn't just a runner either as he was very effective in the passing game for the Dallas Cowboys over the course of his career now people talk about will when it comes to professional athletes and the will that some of them possess and to me barbera's will was top-notch it's like he took being tackled as a personal insult no play characterizes that mentality than arguably the most memorable play of his entire career where that Will was on full display on a two- yard gain against the Patriots Barber is met behind the line of scrimmage near his own end zone no less in multiple broken tackles and reversal little field later and barber has salvaged a potentially disastrous play and made it a positive unfortunately barara left us in 2022 due to an incident of heat stroke but I for one will always remember Miss and appreciate the back that was Maran barara III
