well this week's good sport has been around baseball all of his life he has a famous ball player's name but he's trying to make a name for himself here at Edison Community College Tom tidy looks at the buccaneer whose father was quite a pirate himself Manny sanguian has attended 12 different schools in the last 12 years moving from town to town is a way of life in some major league families for 11 Seasons Manny sanguian senior caught for the Pittsburgh Pirates including the 1979 World Series champs now Manny Jr is trying to make a name for himself at Edison College it's another stop on a baseball Journey that he hopes is ticketed for the pros I'd like to do it you know for myself but also for my dad I know making real proud so I'd like to play with the Pirates you know I like to play with anyone but it would be kind of special play of the Pirates growing up in Pittsburgh Manny Jr spent much of his childhood at Three Rivers Stadium practicing with his father that's a dream come true for most kids but playing here at Edison has given him a chance to get away from the bright lights in big city and high expectations all my life there really has been since high school you know even in Little League people expect me to be some kind of Superman so you know I just try to take in stride and just do the best I can a lot of these kids that we have here they don't really know them they're they're the Canseco's and the mcguiars and the green Wells that's the names that are familiar to them a lot of these kids don't remember Manny sangan they might not remember Manny San Gian senior but you can bet that if Sun plays like Dad Manny Santiam Jr will be a name Edison Community College will never forget in Fort Myers Tom tidy wink Sports
