Strictly's Amy Dowden sobs over vile messages from trolls 'You're not even stage 4'

Amy daen was in tears as she recalled The Vicious messages she had been sent while receiving cancer treatment in hospital the Strictly Come Dancing star 34 who is returning to the series in September has been in and out of hospital since 2023 when she was diagnosed with grade three breast cancer the inspirational dancer from South Wales who was forced to have a full mastectomy has a legion of loyal fans however there were a few heartless keyboard Warriors who sent her some heartbreaking abuse opening up about the messages in her new BBC documentary strictly Amy caner and me The Talented dancer shows a nurse the negative comments she received after choosing to share Her diagnosis publicly one of the messages accuses Amy of being a narcissist after she shared a video of herself dancing before shaving her head in prepar ation for chemo the troll wrote narcissism is a self-centered personality style characterized as having an excessive preoccupation with oneself I don't see the other Millions who suffer from cancer do the same crap she does another agreed saying agreed don't know why she feels the need to always be in the Limelight shaking her head at the comments as she prepared Amy for another round of chemo her nurse tells the star to block out the negativity however crying on camera Amy breaks down sharing at the time I already felt like ID had everything about me Stripped Away my identity and of course I would have done anything in the world not to be dancing in my friend's Garden about to shave my head but to be dancing with my best friends on Strictly she then makes the shocking confession that one person messaged her saying you're not not even stage four Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer just last year after finding a lump in her breast shortly before her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones she since had a mastectomy and chemotherapy and earlier this year said that no evidence of disease was found in a checkup recalling breaking the news to strictly bosses she said my first chats when I had to tell strictly was keep my job because that was the scariest thing her mother jilli and dowed and added that was the most important thing wasn't it yeah her Father Richard Dow and commented in the scene I know and then there's as well as focusing on wanting to be back out there on the dance floor but you've got to focus on getting well first thankfully Amy is going to be back on the dance floor in September and we can't wait to see her follow
