Trails in the Sky Remake Trailer First Glance

okay we're going to look at the full trailer of the sky trails in the sky remake s [Music] [Music] [Music] OE has different clothes oh I know [Music] I love how there's random aeps just flying around because it makes sense first thing I want to look at see how it's titled um the first I've seen some of my acquaintances um mention they think that this will just be one remake of the first Sky game I don't think so just because it's Sora noi the first I don't think they would have I guess it could signify that it's just a remake of the first game but it makes no sense for them to not remake at least the second game the second trails in the sky game I mean the map will be reused for the second game too it's not they won't have to design a lot of new maps and stuff um one thing also I want to address I hope there's more voice acting than usual um as everyone knows they're really isn't a lot of voice acting in Trails games even recent Trails games well there's a there's a good amount but I want to say 30% of a Trail's game is voiced and 70% of it is unvoiced only the important scenes and it worries me that we've seen no voice acting sewn off um the lighting doesn't look as bright I think I was complaining about that on the Nintendo Direct um viewing the lighting looks better in this trailer I like Estelle and Joshua's um new um how to say 2D artwork her estella's face looks sort of odd just her lips um let me enable my mouse so I can at least so what I'm pointing at because I was doing that for the Nintendo Direct um and I wasn't actually pointing at anything if I can find the okay I can't find how to use the mail for some reason is so the Mouse um yeah the 2D artwork looks good it's just some something about Still's lips I don't know yosa y looks [Music] good I don't think this track is a remake is a remix of anything I wonder if any of the music will be remade also the voice acting for the sky games I've been spoiled by the sky trails in the sky Evo Evo remakes for the PS VA because those had full voice acting and so it'll be hard to go back this is I'll say this at the end once I'm done doing this I have something to say on that in that in regard to that that I just thought of the original game will always be there at the very least I don't really like the active battle system I'll say that again in that Trails has been going moving towards but at the very least I think I'll like it for this because it's a new way to experience trails in the sky and I've already played trails in the sky like five [Music] times [Music] unironically Chloe looks so different [Music] [Music] so they haven't there's another thing I want to check [Music] [Music] so they haven't sewn an area except maybe this area to the bottom left is this the fishing um it's the little tiny resort near the second town the second main town in the game by a ravenue village um in trails in the sky too you go to a pretty important place from this area I'm wonder is this the area I'm thinking it is to the bottom left I think so and there's Chloe so so far we've seen up to the I'm assuming this minda is either the one that leads to what is the place it's where TAA lives and Professor Russell I know it's not rer that um Cold Steel Ze Ze this is either the MSA that leads his zece or the um MSA at the beginning of the game when you rescue the miners I think it's the mindu you rescue the miners at because Joshua isn't with a still which is weird did Joshua leave Estelle in the original game during this SE because only Estelle is sown as a party remember right at the top right I don't really like Chloe's new casual [Music] outfit 2025 it's a nice detail that the air ships are just casually flying through the air as they should be some final notes um if this game I'm hoping I'm hoping that this game releases on every platform or at the very least just stee it's going to be really stupid if this game only releases on Nintendo switch like that would be really I don't know that would be really odd I'm sure it will release on other platforms I'm curious of which script will be used well there's only one currently that we know of I'm wondering if um this will use exceed script or if Nissa will make a whole new one I'm of the mind that it will be exceed script for this because I'm assuming that the trails in the sky too will be remade like this in probably 32 and I can't imagine Nissa going through translating all the text for Sky 2 because that took X see just there's some horror stories about that um the voice acting I feel like this won't have it this won't have as much voice acing as a modern RPG these days but if the script is sort of the same and this game releases on Steam there's hope I think um some players could mod the voices from trails in the sky Evo first second and third in into um these games and basically if the script is basically the same in this game in the remake we could H potentially have full voice acting at least for the Japanese dub in the remake as long as modders were deported into the steam release of the Remake from the Evo version they' sort of already done that with the plain um trails in the sky versions that are up on Steam so I don't see why it would be a problem to do it for the Remake so and I would I would definitely do that just to have full voice acting or a full Japanese dub I'm just heavily assuming that this won't have a full Japanese dub like most modern Trails games and there was one final thing [Music] oh I hope the party I think I may have mentioned this before I hope the party um for most of the time in trails in the sky you only have aelle and Joshua and you're lucky at any point to have a team of four a party of four I don't know how they would change that for the Remake but I really hope they find some way that's not jarring to let you have a party of four characters most of the time without changing too many story things it just I mean every Trails game excepts trails in the sky One lets you have 40 party members most to the time but in trails in the sky one you have two party members most of the time you're lucky to have four you're unlikely to have three that [Music] often I don't know hopefully they can find a way to sort of let you have four party members without it being jarring and also I'm not in some of the parts I feel like I'm not seeing as many NPCs as there would be in the original game I'm curious if some NPCs and dialogue are going to be cut I'm not sure on that but I'm curious I like how you can seamlessly enter a town and like this and you just put up your weapon because trolls in a sky one and two or are pretty open world like you're not really that [Music] limited and where you you are limited but it feels open world you don't have a main you don't have a main Hub and trails in the sky one and two where as in the crossbell games you have the um SSS building as your main Hub and cross Bells your main Hub in the Cold Steel Games Thors and leaves are your main Hub and in the curo trails or Daybreak games at least for Daybreak one [Music] um the aride Luen office and Edith are your main Hub but trails in the sky one and two you don't really have a main Hub you just go from town to town and it's sort of like an open world RPG sort of which was always really cool and I was hoping they would bring it back for a fiure Trails game but they never did [Music] and in rivy your Hub area was sort of the rivy corridor for all intents and purposes I hope the enemies like there are some plant enemies that explode when you kill them that are really annoying and I hope they keep them that way like all the enemies that have their unique gimmicks I hope they're kept that way even if they're annoying I still think it gives the game and trails in the sky a good identity with what we know about the newest Trails game I very interested there are these weird alien enemies they're sort of they're just strange looking and their details when you scan them or battle scope them is that they came from outer space they're usually on top of the towers throughout the game um they made no sense it just seemed like a very random thing when you first played trails in the sky they're like these long jelly fist looking monsters and it says they came from outer space or something I'm very curious to see those monsters remade in 3D and see what their updated info will be with the context we have of the newer Trails game [Music] [Music] and yeah it looks good the game looks good I'll definitely be playing and recording and streaming it uh and I guess that's it thanks for watching and have yourselves a good one
