Commanders Re Sign WR Byron Pringle. Which 5 or 6 WRs Make the Roster? Brycen Tremayne Stock Up

Byron Pringle what's good commanders fans the Washington commanders have signed wide receiver Byron Pringle who was on the team last year was with the Chiefs uh he was a Eric benmy connection basically a Eric benmy signing and uh he's not bad but I mean like is it necessary to really bring him in when we already have I was just looking at the death chart too I'll talk about I guess I'll make my five or six prediction of receivers or six or seven guys that I will that I think will make the roster at the wide receiver spot um after I talk about Byron Pringle but I mean he he he he did have a kick return touchdown in his career I think that might be one thing maybe one reason why they brought him in I mean it could be a camp body but I think honestly they have enough bodies at the wide receiver position at this point they have 13 guys on the um on the 90 man roster at this point 13 wide receivers on the 90-man roster like after the guys after the first couple guys you think like Johan Terry Luke dami Brown Crowder and ID and guys like that you know they have uh Casmir Allen is still on the 90 man roster Jame uh Davon Davis is still on the 90 man roster Dax mil is still on the 90 man roster Marcus rosem me Jack Saint Mitchell Tinsley Bryson Germaine like they have a lot of guys at the wide receiver spot so personally I mean I know they worked out Martavis Bryant in the off season and um it's not like bri Pringle brings you size either so that's one thing that we don't really have is like a 65 big body guy Byron Pringle was 6'1 203 pounds and uh he's 30 years old so I mean I'm not upset if we don't have a big receiver but you know I I just kind of feel like you know was this really like a necessary signing uh but 2021 he had a good year I know I told about his stats last year when we signed him 2021 he had five touchdowns for the Kansas City Chiefs last year he had 14 catches 22 targets and then zero touchdowns and his longest reception was for 26 yards 26 yards was his longest I remember there were times where Eric benamy did try his best to get Byron Pringle in the game and get him involved because that was his guy and B like I said I think he's a good fifth option sixth option kind of receiver so but is it necessary like is he going to be better than Mitchell Tinsley who's playing well in Camp or uh Bryson Tain would you rather give those guys uh a chance rather than bringing in uh Byron Pringle instead you know so that that's the question mark right there was this and then there's got to be a corresponding move you know somebody's got to be released it doesn't have to be a receiver but it could be somebody else like who else is going to be released it's not going to be it's not going to be a big name at this point but a corresponding move most likely will be happening um I was going to say well they cut the kicker since the kicker's been so darn bad what's his name ra Ram Ahad but if we cut him then we really would be bare at the uh kicker spot and we would have to sign another kicker so that's the only guy I can really think of that that we cut uh off the 9 man roster but it would probably be some Pringles Stats random person for sure but um just you know keeping you guys updated with the with the Byron Pringle but yeah he did he did have a couple kick returns in his in his career with Kansas City let me look that up real quick yeah kick returns and he had zero PT returns but he had a couple kick returns he had 10 kick returns and one touchdown in 2020 25 returns in 2021 for 621 yards no touchdown his longest return was for 39 yards in 2021 his longest return in 2020 was 102 yards U but he doesn't really give you much as a punp returner so yeah he doesn't really doesn't really return punts either yeah he never returned a punt in his career so but he's done a he's done a he's done a good amount of care returning so that's the only reason why I can see them really bringing them in and just some familiarity probably will not make the roster can't body most likely like I said is it is it really necessary to bring in a camp body when you have Mitchell Tinsley playing really well and Bryson taine playing well uh even Davon Davis at points making plays here and there so and Cass Allen too like you know I mean you got him Dax smill can be a camp body too honestly but um all right so let's I guess I'll talk about my guys I know a lot of people are Roster Preview starting to do the 53 man roster I'll be on um a shter night with my guy or a podcast my guy Tate C Edwards on Instagram we'll be doing the is probably one of the more competitive positions on the team here so of course I got got uh Terry making it Johan doson making it Luke mcaffrey making it and then I got Jameson Crowder making it those are the four locks in my opinion you got to have a punt returner so I got Jameson Crowder making a roster obviously Terry Top 100 player in the league top 15 receiver Johan doson got to have a bounceback year had a down year had a good day yesterday in practice but has had a couple drops throughout practice Luke mcaffrey third round pick he's definitely going to make it he's going to get a lot of playing time a lot of snaps he should be featured in the offense a good amount and then like I said Jameson Crowder those are the four locks in my opinion dami is on a bubble from what I'm hearing though you know lyel Willingham said stock up for dami brown he said that on TV I think it was like ABC7 or something like that I was surprised that he said that he was like been s stock dropping uh Marcus Mariota stock down and then Jam Javis stocked down and then the one guy he said stock up was dami brown so I mean I guess dami's doing something to probably and he said he's getting a lot of reps with the first team so that doesn't always mean you're going to make it just because you're getting reps with the first team but it kind of seems like they want him to make an impact and they're giving him as many many opportunities as they can um all me is zius I got him making a Roser I mean he's just been making plays all over the place he has a really good connection with Jaden Daniels um every time I hear something he's always making a catch uh he did have a nice sideline catch from jayen Daniels I want to say that was yesterday like every time I look on my timeline or hear people talk they talk about all of me as the is making a play and they brought him in for reason he played with the Eagles play with the Falcons if he can kind of play like he did with the Falcons that would be a plus a nice addition to this room and we know after the first three guys which is really Terry Jan and Luke is wide open after really after Crowder I already said that after Crowder is wide open but all all I me isak kius he's been making plays so I think he's going to make the roster for sure he has a good connection with Jen Daniels so far as well and then after that the last guy I got is dami brown I got dami brown making it I would only keep six you look at the ners last year they kept six guys Dan Quinn usually kept six wide receivers on his roster so I'm going just go with six I don't think it's really necessary to keep seven especially when you have Jameson Crowder as your special teams guy who can contribute like James and Crowder not a bad receiver too like he he had a couple catches last year too he just has to calm down with the fumble where he threw the ball up in the air against the Jets I know that led to us getting Jaden Daniels eventually it kind of helped out with that turnover but we can't have any you know shacked in a fo plays where he literally just lost the ball and it popped up in the air but he did have the only touchdown return punt return that we had since he was here a couple years ago back in what 2015 2016 but I do have dami making it he really is a bubble guy but I do have him making a roster right now but when the preseason games go come on like if dami's not doing anything let's say if he makes a drop or he's running with the second and third stram guys then you will see that maybe telling that he may not make the roster but he's got to make plays like remember two years ago when he played with Sam Sam how in the Ravens game and he had like two drops in that game two big drops like Sam was laying it out there for him like the really nice passes down the field in that preseason against the Ravens and dami was just dropping him that was two years ago uh so if he does something like that then I could see him be released and Mitchell Tinsley or Bryson taine can make the roster if if the the seventh guy had to pick between Mitch and Bryson I would only give the N to Mitch because Mitch made the team last year now Bryson taine he kind of sounds like he's been the star of camp like he's been the biggest star like he made a diving catch where he laid out yesterday and fell on his stomach and made the catch got up and ran after it had yak and all that like he's been making some crazy catches he's been the first one on the field as well like five out of six practices between him Sam Harman and jayen Daniels so Bryson traine he's really making a lot of noise but I would keep those two guys on a practice while if they don't make the roster if they don't get poached I know last year I was kind of concerned that mitell Tinsley would be taken away but every year we say the same thing uh you know when a guy releas are they going to be taken away or or or claimed by another team and it never really happens so I would put those two guys on a practice squad I think they will make it to the practice squad I would cut Casmir Allen because he has hands like a snake he can't really um he struggled last year with returning punts and catching the punts so I would cut him I would cut Dax Mill because he doesn't provide you much in the punt return game and then Demir bird I think he's talented but he would make the roster and then Byron Pringle would not make the roster either Davon Davis maybe he can play in the XFL and then we bring him back shout out to Kelvin Haron he did get a deal with NFL team the other day but Davon Davis I would release him as well I don't think he will make the practice squad and then Casmir Allen I would release him too I don't think I wouldn't I wouldn't put him on the practice squad either but he could be like a good practice player to return punts he could be like a good practice guy to do that that's the only reason why I would keep him on the practice squad but Mitchell Tinley return punts in college too so it's not like Mitchell Tinsley Tinsley can't do it but Dax like I said I think I think it's time I think the Troy Abby AKA Dax Mill uh time Marcus Ros me Jack Saint I would love to keep him on the practice squad too I would love to keep him on the practice I haven't heard much from at all though if you if you guys have been there and seen anything from him please let me know other than that one-handed acrobatic catch that he had in rooky mini camp I haven't really seen much from him at all so those are the six guys that I got would not keep seven I don't think it's necessary it would be Terry Johan Dawson Luke mcaffry James and Crowder only zakus and then right now DM brown but like I said I got to see some things in preseason I remember when Stephen Sims was kind of a shoeing to make the roster then we saw him in preseason he kept dropping passes and and and they cut him after that so so we'll see if that happens with Dei Brown and then that would open up a spot for Mitchell Tinsley but Bryson Chaine has been B falling all right you guys you guys let me know what you guys think who do you guys have making the roster the wi receiver
