ahead and say we run this uh segment please do not let me down we have to get to 20 before we get out there so all right we're going to start with uh bounceback players this year it's going to be a lot of fun going to take a quick sip of water 39 people watching 111 of two in so far on the day everyone are you ready type me if you're pumped up for some saints content all right so I got a quick question for you Saints fans I want you to call him out for me who's a player that you think needs to bounce back this season in today's video I'm going to go through five players who I believe will bounce back in their 2024 season but I want you to call somebody out and tell them to play better this year [Music] so first player that I think will bounce back in 2024 is none other than wham bam thank you Cam I believe that number 94 is due for a big time year in 2024 and I don't think that the 2023 campaign was anything that we should be too concerned about and in 2023 why was it so bad well we saw career lows in tackles tackles for loss sacks and quarterback hits and that is excluding his rookie season back in 2011 so this has been the worst year since his rookie year and and it's unfortunate but let's let let's not act like there was nothing going on he was playing through an ankle injury and at the end of the season he actually disclosed some of the injury information uh Ross Jackson posted on social media his injuries included a compound high and low ankle sprain herniated C3 slc4 neck injury among them so the guy was playing through a lot he was playing tough and to be honest I I challenge any of you to try and play any sort of sport or do any sort of physical activity with those kind of injuries but I do believe this he is still one of the smartest one of the most talented and one of the most respected pass rushers in the National Football League and I think that we can understand that because of what we saw over the past couple of days so Von Miller Cameron Jordan and uh Mad Max over with the max Crosby over with the raid they hosted the sack Summit in Las Vegas and here is a clip of Cameron Jordan giving out tips to some of the different players and we saw New Orleans Saints guys like Isaiah fosy Carl Granderson Payton Turner and Nico lelos all at this uh Summit which is pretty pretty cool to me so the fact that he is helping uh host this sack Summit in Las Vegas like that to me just proves that the NFL and the players around him and the players at their positions they all respect Cameron Jordan and view him as one of the best in the National Football League right now and when you look at the depth chart I do think that this defensive line did improve over the off season they signed Chase young and I think that that's going to open up a lot of opportunities for Cameron Jordan because hear me out he's going to be on the field less but he's going to be more fresh when he has to go Colin Saunders I think is going to have a good year Nathan Shepard was actually pretty surprising in terms of the production and the contract that he signed Carl Granderson I am really hopeful for him this year we do know that Tano pasho is dealing with an injury but I'm looking at guys like Isaiah fosy and pton Turner to really turn things up this season now I also will say this go get creative with Cameron Jordan I mean this is one of the best pass rushers in the National Football League you don't have to have them line up on the outside you can line them up on the defensive tackle spot too line them up on the interior put your three best pass rushers on the field when you need to and I think that he still has a lot of gas in the tank I think he's going to prove a lot of doubters wrong this season and I'm really really excited to see what Cameron Jordan can do this year now you tell me Saints fans get down in the comments section how many sacks do you think wham bam thank you Cam will have this year I want you to share your thoughts I'm going to be responding to you guys in the comment section so take a quick second and comment below all right another player I do believe will bounce back this year is Maron lock down LaMore baby I mean the reason I think he's a bounceback season and it's not because it's been bad production but it's because the situation he's currently in he has missed 17 games over the last two seasons due to injury and you know why I think this is important and he has to play really well and he has to be available it's because he has no guaranteed money after this season so that means the New Orleans Saints could trade him and could move on and it's actually a little bit easier than it would have been you know a couple seasons ago when it would have been way more expensive and hard to ma uh hard to manage but there is some tough decisions in the cornerback room to make because you added Kool-Aid McKenry because Paulson Ado has played so well what is elante Taylor going to look like in the nickel we don't know the answer to these questions yet but Marshon Latimore without a doubt is one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League when he's healthy it's just going to come down to a few things to monitor so what is Kool-Aid mckinstry's role that is going to have an impact as to what happens with Marshon Latimore are they going to move on from him if he doesn't play well and McKenry plays really really well what's going to happen with him maybe the Saints move on from him what about Paulson adbo does he earn a Payday does he plays so well that he outperforms any sort of contract that the Saints would be able to afford to give him that's something to monitor too if he doesn't then the Saints might are are I think would be stupid not to want to bring back Paulson adbo now elante Taylor let's talk about his development in the slot because if he can't play in the slot and the Saints want to move him outside where he has shown he can be successful then that's something that could also impact the future with Marshon Latimore and the biggest question and it's a question for any single player in the National Football League can he stay healthy I mean this player like we said the past two season has missed 17 games and that's not good you you want your best defensive player and one of the best players in the league to be on the field as much as possible now there is no doubt Marshon ladore has that confidence he has that Swagger he has that mindset that says I'm going to go in I'm going to dominate this year and Marshall lore is actually asked about where he thinks that he ranks among the top NFL quarterbacks and that conversation without even letting Mike triplet get the question out he said I'm number one I'm number one let's I mean the stat the stats are great the last two seasons you know maybe not as great but again limited sample size but when he is back when he plays it's pretty damn good I mean I'm not going to sit here and say that only one interception last year and one interception in 2022 is amazing but let's also not act like this player just hasn't been a lock down guy he is an island guy he takes away an entire side of the field I think that Marshon Latimore will be much much better this year he's shown up to practices he's you know getting active and I think that he is going to be an effective player and I hope that he can stay healthy because I would love to see Latimore stick around in New Orleans for the foreseeable future now I will say this just if you wouldn't mind consider to bounce back and my CR like my my thing with this idea of a video was they at one point had to show that they were really good and for me Chase young his rookie year he showed that he could be a dominant force in the professional field now I do think that he's going to be really really good with the Saints because he has a lot of pressure on him this is a player who only has a one-year contract is at risk of having the term and the label of being a bust injury-prone just total waste of a second overall pick I'm not saying he's a waste of a pick but he has so much High Hopes And so many you know PR so much praise coming out of college at Ohio State and now this is a guy who can barely stay on the field because of injury and there's questions around his effort and whatnot but we do have positive injury Updates this isn't new news but this is news that has been the most recent news and we've shared this graphic before but if you haven't seen it here is the update he's been at the facilities every single day and at meetings he hasn't gotten action at the field so this is talking about a uh mini camp and at OTAs he hasn't been active in terms of practicing and getting in reps but he's been meeting with the team he's been meeting with the coach he's been present at the facility which is really good news Dennis Allen sees a guy that's motivated and going to have a great year and let's uh and in the injury he was dealing with the neck injury he had surgery a few weeks ago a little bit of over a month ago and yeah so we're hoping that he can be ready to roll for week one there is no time or not no timeline but there is no like expectation that he's going to be 100% ready at training camp the idea is that he can be ready to roll for week one and I mean in 2023 he matched his sack His Highest sack season which was set in his rookie year with the Washington football team at the time and in 2021 regressed big time but only played nine games 2022 only played three and that's what it really really hurt him so I do think that chase young needs to get active and I think that he can be a really good pass rusher and be a really good sack artist and I think that's why the New Orleans Saints brought him in so last year KL Granderson led the New Orleans Saints at sacks with eight and a half Chase young had seven and a half last year so who's going to lead the team in sacks just type their jersey number down below can't wait to see what you got to say Alvin chimra I think will bounce back this year as well and part of that is because I think he has a lot to prove and also part of that is just purely because the offensive scheme caters to him so much better now Alvin chimra he is playing to keep his job because as it stands right now at at at what am I looking at June 3rd 4:19 p.m. in 2024 Right In This Moment the future plan is Kendra Miller things can change things can move around but that is what the plan is for the New Orleans Saints long term right now and he still needs to prove that he is a productive player we're going to show you some numbers here in a second because the numbers last year they were down but I don't think that they were so down that you should be concerned and kubak offense he has been preaching that he wants it grounded it's going to be a wide Zone run scheme and they're going to be um a lot of there's a lot of emphasis on efficiency in the Red Zone there's a lot of emphasis on spreading out the ball creating plays and Catering towards Derek Carr and whoever the running back is whether it's a TM Hill whether it's a Alvin CRA Jamal Williams whoever so I think that his production will significantly improve purely because of the new offensive system and over the last four years the numbers in 2023 were not good they were down in pretty much every metric outside of his rushing touchdowns which yeah he got five that was awesome but I mean I'm also old enough to remember when he had 16 one year so you know that would have been pretty cool but I also want to say this I do think that AK doesn't need to have a 1,00 yard season like there's this whole discussion of he's never had 1,000 yards Alvin cra's washed he never will have th000 yards and like I'm not sitting here saying that this is a player who has to have a th000 yards to prove that he is still a capable running back and deserves to be a starting running back in this league I mean look at the Players since 2017 that have had a th000 plus yards that were 29 years old so right now Alvin C is 28 so if he doesn't get a thousand yards this year then you know we're having a different conversation and he may never have a thousand yards it's only been six different guys Derk Henry he's the king Mark Ingram a familiar face Adrien Peterson former Saints Legend Raheem moer Carlos Hy lesan McCoy are the only six players since 2017 that have had 1,000 plus yards and I think Alvin chimra I don't think he needs to get to a th000 but I do think that he needs to show that he can be efficient I think he needs to get somewhere around 7 to 800 yards and get back to you know 5 6 700 yards in receiving as well if we can get like 11,00 allpurpose yards I'm okay with that Jamal Williams I also think he's going to bounce back because last year I mean it it's a very simple thing it's it's a it was just lack of usage it was incorrect usage and it was being unaware of what his skill set was like or not unaware but it was just not catering to his skill set this is a very simple fix just use him correctly use him in the right situations offensive line play better like there is not a lot of things that you have to do to really fix Jamal Williams in what he does he is a bowling ball he is a hard player to tackle and he is the boom to Alvin CRA Zoom I know that it's not the same comparison because of Mark Ingram and you know and Mark Ingram and Alvin chra that was just such an amazing Duo one of the best in in uh franchise history you had the Reggie Bush Pierre Thomas I mean like I understand the boom and zoom has always worked for the Saints you kind of have your boom right here it's not the same as I'm not comparing them to Pierre Thomas I'm not comparing them to uh marking room but the role yes that is what I'm saying you have that and also it comes down to off line you have to execute your assignment so please dear offensive line please please please please please please just execute your assignments let your running backs or give your running backs clear Lanes give Derek Car time to throw the ball take care of the the player that you're supposed to block don't get stupid penalties it it's it's a lot easier said than done and it's really easy for a husky guy who makes YouTube videos and a studio in Downtown Dallas to say all this [ __ ] but at the end of the day that is their job you have to execute and if you're not executing at a high level things need to change so this is also something I found really really interesting so what this metric is showing here is yards before contact per attempt so every single time that they carry the ball Alvin chimra rushed 2.3 yards before contact kendre Miller he rushed 1.8 yards uh before contact and uh Jamal Williams only had 1.5 and that that's not really good if you ask me I think that there's a lot to prove there and that's this just says that whenever you're trying to carry the ball and you're trying to make plays you don't even get the opportunity to because you're getting stopped before you can make a play so I mean you got to give your running backs a chance here that that's just what it comes down to you have to give them the opportunity give Jamal Williams more than one and a half yards to carry the ball and build some steam ahead he could probably run through a couple excuse my French Marsh on uh what Marsh Lynch always said run through a m face you know what I'm saying I'm sure he could do that if you gave wild trade Target that we want to discuss CD lamb he's a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and why we're discussing him is well there's actually potential for him to get moved not to the Saints necessarily but to get moved maybe Dallas Morning News reported that CD lamb will hold out from Cowboys training camp without a new deal in Pretty Ricky you might have heard of him on Twitter he kind of went crazy all throughout the offseason having a lot of weird story lines right people don't really know what's going on there but Pretty Ricky is assum or is guessing it's going to be around 32 is million he wants to be the second highest paid wide receiver uh Bobby belt a cow a Cowboys beat reporter he can not confirmed but he said 32 does feel about right but when you look at the kind of player this is I mean guys maybe 30 million is worth it I mean almost 1,800 yards last year 13 yard yards per catch found the end zone 12 different times he had 14400 yards in 2022 had over 1100 in 2021 I mean he's gotten better every single season almost in every metric it's actually incredible and to be quite honest I think that a big three of Chris olve CD lamb and Rashid shid would be absolutely nuts and it's no disrespect to at Perry before we film this segment on our weekly live show I even said I think that at Perry might be one of my favorite wide receivers on the team but it would just be absolutely nuts that that big three would be unstoppable it doesn't matter who's throwing the rock just put it somewhere nearby those guys they're going to win it's going to be I I mean again it's July we can have some fun we can fantasize about it it would be really really cool but I want to ask you this question just in general do you think the Cowboys are going to trade CI lamb or do you think they're going to end up paying him do you think they what do you think's going to go down here let me know will the Cowboys trade CD lamb just give me a yes or no in the comment section I can't wait to see what you guys have to say so a player that we've discussed before is Brandon iuk and we've actually talked about him because there is a potential fit there with Brandon iuk but we're uh there is some new reports around his contract discussion the 49ers and Brandon iuk in terms of that extension progress there is none which is in the terms of being a Saints fan it's really good news but in terms of being a 49ers fan might be a little bit worried and to be honest I think that Brandon auk would be an excellent addition to the New Orleans Saints offense I think that the Saints absolutely have to kick the tires on Brandon auk he's not going to cost you as much money as a CD lamb the trade compensation I don't think would cost as much as uh too and I think he he would be an excellent fit with click kubak and we saw what he did with Clint kubak as his pass game coordinator last year the best production he has had in in his career 1342 yards almost 18 yards per catch ladies and gentlemen if you don't want Brandon iuk on the roster I don't know why I get that he's going to be an expensive player but Talent is expensive if you want good talent you pay good money if you want bottom of the barrel Talent you pay low-end money and this is a player who I think would immediately make the New Orleans Saints a contender not only in the NFC but at least in a conversation for a Super Bowl so Naji Harris Let's talk about a running back because I think that depending on how things go with Alvin chimra in the next couple of weeks and in the next couple of years maybe a running back could be in need for the New Orleans Saints and why Nai why specifically Naji Harris well let talk about it because of a running back first chimra is not getting any younger that is a fact father time does not matter who it is always wins Jamal Williams He struggled majorly last year there's no question about that could he bounce back this season hopefully but we have to you know go off of what happened most recently not the 17 touchdown year just two seasons ago but we have to go off of the one touchdown season and the 400 500 yard season only 100 carries was not good kendre Miller there's still a lot of unknown around him because he's a rookie and because he was dealing with injuries so we don't know what to expect with him things are looking good but you're not necessarily 100% sure yet now Naji Harris I do believe would be a really really good addition because I like his build I mean I think that he is a talented player and the stats they back that up and I think that when you think about some of the best Saints offenses I mean a player that's 6'1 242 lbs line you know pair him up with a kendre Miller would be excellent I mean he has had over a, yards every single season the Saints haven't had an a thousand yard rusher in quite some time I mean he's also really efficient in in the end zone he or in finding the end zone excuse me and I also think that he has some receiving ability not a ton but I think that if you were to pair Naji Harris and kendre Miller as a running back Duo it would be deadly it would be dangerous and especially with Clint kubak who wants a grounded offense who wants a team that's going to run a wide zone offense or a run scheme I think that this would be a really really good move for the Saints and I think it would be a little bit of an expensive trade but again that quality players are worth that kind of investment if they perform and they put up the production that you're asking them to so I think that would be a really good move for the Saints I could also be convinced for another running back but na Harris he's stuck out to me and so that's why I wanted to talk about him so who's your favorite running back in the NFL my one rule it can't be a Saints player can be on any of the other 31 teams I want you to shout him out for me for meet derck Henry I love me some Derrick Henry if I had to go with an a second option dare I say Taj Spears could have been a Saints Legend it would have been a lot of fun but I love watching Derrick Henry run the football it is so much fun so I'm sure that'll be a popular name but I want you guys to let me know in the comments all right let's beef up the edge rusher position let's beef up that pass rush because we know the New Orleans Saints have struggled when it comes to the pass rush in sack production last year they were tied for 28th in sack production across the league they only had 34 if you wanted to be in the top 10 you needed 48 sacks didn't even get close not even close and that's not good and when the New Orleans Saints defense when that's your bread and butter of your team the pass rush has to be there and thank God that they have a good defensive back unit and thank God they have Demario Davis because if you had a bad pass rush and bad secondary [ __ ] defense is what it comes down to but Micah Parson's in three seasons ladies and gentlemen he has been really really good 14 and a half sacks this year or excuse me 14 sacks this year 14 and a half last year 13 in the year before he's had over 60 tackles every year he's gotten into the backfield getting tackles for loss two and I'm not going to sit here and say it guarantee Michael Parson's trade will happen but it seems like the Cowboys fan base is pretty split and it seems like they're very much so like a rebuild Could Happen a re they're all in now trying to win right now I don't know what the Cowboys plan is but they could be looking to rebuild soon they have a lot of expensive contracts they have not a lot of success in terms of postseason success sure they made it the playoffs more recently in the Saints so I'm not sitting here trying to knock them on that but to be real it's one of the biggest brands at Sports and they haven't had a meaningful foot win in a football game since I've ever been born just going to put that out there he's one of the best Ed rushers in the NFL and I think that if you put him on this pass rush unit I mean goodness gracious again it's July I want to fantasize about it I think it' be a lot of fun now I will also throw this your way if you wanted to get some new wall art or get some new for your apartment your dorm room or if you know if you're moving in with your girlfriend you needed to add a little bit of extra testosterone to the room but he didn't you know she said no posters no no stupid football stuff well you can get away with this cuz it's actually pretty clean it's pretty slick it also has a lot of don't expect to be really any good so maybe they want to try and offload some of their talent and get some nice return on their uh on you know players like AB Buddha Baker and I do think that if you have Buddha Baker and Tyron Matthew that is the not one of it is the best safety duo in the National Football League I encourage you to try and name me a better safety tandem than a potential match or to potential pairing of Tyron Matthew and Buddha Baker I understand that the Ravens have a lot of talent they always have a good secondary but guys he can play all over the field and he has been dominant since 2017 I mean among safeties look at where he ranks he's first in tackles he's second in tackles for loss he's 10th in sacks he's sixth in force fumbles this is a player who can line up in the Box he can line up down uh back deep he can line up anywhere you want him to and he is effective and he is dominant not just a good player he is a great player and I also think that Jordan Howen could be a beneficiary of having uh Buddha Baker on the roster long term I mean this is a player who we've already seen has the ability to be very uh versatile he has lined up all over the field already in his short career in his rookie season he was very very useful and very very versatile and if you can have a very very talented safety like a Buddha Baker who hasn't even reached 30 years old by the way take over and play alongside Jordan how play above her or ahead of him a little bit and continue to Mentor that player and get him in on the rotation I mean guys Jordan Howen could be a dangerous player you have Buddha Baker and Ty and Matthew pouring into you God I would love I would hate to be a a quarterback that has to go up against that kind of player I think it would be a lot of fun to see a Buddha Baker or any of those other Five Guys that I or other four guys that I mentioned but I want you to name a wild Saints trade Target the crazier it gets the better I don't care
