touchdown Vikings win it 26-3 Vikings extend okay so the Eagles are going to flip the script here right putting all training camp and preseason to bed here as they get ready for the regular season opener as we mentioned didn't see Herz at all in the preseason but Nick serani says Jaylen Herz is having an unbelievable Camp obviously TA in last year that Vibes were not Immaculate uh there was some talk about you know maybe there was some frustration there uh kind of all all around in Philadelphia right but Baldi do you feel like this team now h serani can get back to the success of 2022 and put to bed the struggles of late season 2023 yeah I do I mean they didn't have answers to a lot of things that teams were doing to him at the end of the season last year so you bring in Kell Moore and Doug nme on the offensive side I think the coaching is better the protections will be a little clear their answers to pressures and blitzes will be better and then the town around them is better you can hand it off to saquan right now throw it to saquan along with AJ Devonte then you trade for Jan doson behind a quality offensive line I mean there's no reason why Jaylen can't get back to playing at a level that we saw in 20122 when they went to a Super Bowl they've gotten off to good starts each of the last two seasons and so I feel like they've got everything they have that they need for jayen Herz to be successful in this offense to be good offense should be remarkable and I'm I mean I'm expecting a team that can light up scoreboards Kell Moore takes over and it reminds me a lot of when the Cowboys had Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott and the prime bringing saquan Barkley over gives them a different dimension to this offense we can talk about Devonte Smith and AJ Brown and Dallas scard but being able to run the football with saquan changes the equation it should make life easier for Jaylen Herz look for Jaylen Herz to re-emerge as that guy that was pushing for MVP status a couple years ago yeah but no question that Dak Prescott was the most prolific passer and best quarterback in this division the NFC East a year ago will we be saying the same thing this year [Applause] come on come on Cher we need you all right here we go ready got to love this man you got to love it y here we go here we go y here we go wait take meet y in the end zone throws Back In The End Zone there's CD lamb once you do something like that you got to score I can't come back to the sideline without a touchdown we'll do this again next week man 103 1 2 31 all right Dak Prescott entering the last year of his contract barring of course an extension and has not had the benefit of having CD lamb around at all here Bucky Brooks so what's our expectation of what Dak can do in this offense this year I think that can do what he's done under Mike McCarthy is that's play his best football of his career he'll continue to do that with or without CD lamb obviously it's important for CD lamb to be in the building he's a true number one receiver they have to tilt coverage his way it changes the way that they have to play the rest of the offense when he's on the field but make no mistake about it Dak Prescott is a high-end quarterback and he plays like that in this system he knows the money's on the table and whenever the money's been on the table he's played at his best I expect to see the Cowboys get their qb1 to play at a high level think about it last year last year Dak was coming off a season where he led the league in interceptions and him and Mike McCarthy they watched all of them and then they w got reduced big time the turnovers got reduced this year they've got a shuffle the deck up front you know Tyron Smith and Tyler bitis two longtime starters are gone they've replaced them by rookies uh if they've drafted well they should be good up front they look like two really good prospects in gon and BB and if they play well up front uh now look I mean they're much better obviously when CD is in the lineup but daak still has a chance to play really good football because I think he'll be protected and I think Mike McCarthy's just a very good play caller yeah certainly and look this situation that the Cowboys are in right now with CD lamb and the contract hold out not one that is unfamiliar to Jerry Jones I remember this EMT Smith holding out the first two games of that 93 season Cowboys went 0 and2 despite Troy Aman saying that they could win without EMT all right that that didn't age well that quote by Troy well takes exposed uh and then of course they would go on to win Super Bowl 28 after EMT reported and they worked it all out guys like Charles Haley week three yeah okay and more recently the Cowboys were kind of in this situation with Ezekiel Elliott remember he didn't report till September 4th uh when when he had the contract dispute as well so um Bucky with CD lamb not there right now um Can this offense as you were saying you expect Dak Prescott to play high level football but if CD lamb doesn't show up for another week are we still there well I still expect him to play well because he's gonna run the offense as it operates it's different though because in big games it becomes about players not plays the plays are going to be terrific for Dak Prescott but you still need a player they don't have a blue chip player on offense outside of CD lamb and Dak Prescott they need CD lamb in the building to do it it's on Jerry Jones to make it happen a third of all the completions that Dak Prescott had last year went to CD lamb and right so many of them were in big spots right whether it's third down Red Zone big games I mean CD and these these catches are over the middle uh and everybody tried different ways to control them and contain them and really there was no defense for what CD did a a year ago highest percentage of production of any receiver on any team and that's probably part of the conversation that's going on with those contract negotiations uh right now as Jerry Jones last public comments on the situation with CD essentially saying it does take two sides to get this deal done yeah no shortage of love for Jordan and Green Bay and look at that second half of the Season weeks 11 through 18 they win six of eight he completes over 70% of his passes 18 touchdowns to just one interception it was like two separate seasons in one here guys so I don't know if I believe it but I'm going to ask you Bucky uh as it's time to go bigger this season presented by Best Buy is Jordan love the best quarterback in the NFC woo best quarterback in the NFC um look I think there's a path for him to be the best quarterback in the NFC and is picking up where he left off we saw the stats the final half of the season 18 touchdowns one interception passer rating of 112 if he plays like that yes he can be the best and he's shown glimpses of being the best quarterback in the in the NFC but I got to see it over a sample size longer than eight games he has to prove it to me week in week out he has to play like those gold jackets players before him Aaron Rogers and Brett Favre if he continues to do it then yes we can say he's the best in the NFC right now I can't give it to him yet I can't say it right now yeah I don't think you can give it to him right now I I like he's got to go earn that part and you know you look at Jared Goff in his own division we're GNA with high expectations for Caleb Williams you go to what Brock py has done he's only the highest rated quarterback in this league over the last two years I mean that's a that's a lot to make up right here but he's got a great connection with all these young players including the tight ends you bring in a Josh Jacobs right now uh he's I I think that you're going to get a guy that led the league in rushing just two years ago and a commitment to the offensive line and a and a really good staff around so he's got a chance to be really really good I don't know if he's MVP good maybe he doesn't have to be quite on that level but this team is on paper got a chance to win a whole lot of games this year I I kind of I mean I I kind of I would go Matthew Stafford I think at this point I want to leave him out either yeah okay go Dak Prescott I mean like we got Brock pie no one wants to say Brock p is the best in the NFC no one wants to go and say Brock pie the best might a little kicked off by say I just feel like Brock fry gets disrespected so I'm going to say Brock f is the best I threw it out there
