and it was back to the drawing board with making my Dolores corset because I found some additional references including these two images here that clearly showed the bodice was leather so I went through my stash and kind of went around trying to find leather that would work I decided to use this it ended up being too thick so then I ended up using this tooling leather which I had to Dy black and then I wet formed it hammered out the seams so they'd lay flat and then attached it to the structure layer so that it could dry while I was at work I worked in 8 hour shifts it was kind of perfect um it had plenty of time to dry and kind of mold to that curvature anyway here is the assembled corset unfortunately I do not have a machine that works very well with leather regardless of how thin it is so there are some details missing there's supposed to be top stitching at the top here but my machine kept breaking needles and I couldn't do it you can see how thick it is here but I made it work
