hi guys welcome to the stream oh cheers Craig I am definitely going to need some luck mate so the um oh yeah can as so I thought i' start stream a little bit early because I I only just remembered when this server goes live there's 45 minutes of qualifying so I can sort of practice and qualify at the same time um I've picked the McLaren tonight and it's it's a bit scary to drive I've I've been messing around with it and I can't drive it I keep I keep on losing it um mostly it spins but as soon as the back tires as soon as one goes even yellow you it start the back end starts to go and then if it does go then that heats it up even more making it even harder to corner and try and cool the tires down so I've opened the brake ducks a bit I'm going to give it a try now see see what that does um just in an effort to try and keep the back tires cool there's not many setups available the only one that I found was a weird one it was it had the TC set to 10 um and the ABS set to eight and as soon as I saw it I thought this is going to be a this looks like it might be a a strange one if they need that much TC to keep it in check um and it was pretty awful for the first lap it was okay and then I just heated up that that rear left and it started to spin so object of tonight is to try and last to the end without without wrecking the car that that'll be all right so to uh at the moment the positions for this championship this is race four um we are at the top not by a huge amount though I'm I'm literally I'm one crash away from dropping down so it's pretty important to just try and get to the end without any uh serious incidents so Porsche felt good um I think the Porsche is probably my favorite out of them all so I'm going to be using the Porsche next week and then the final round will be the Janetta I'm hoping I can do that final round without a pit stop but I'll I'll I'll see I'll have to do some testing so yeah this is is the stock setup and I've just tweaked a couple of things a little bit to try and try to sort of tame it it's a bit like if I was to compare this car to something on acc it would probably be the lambo the way the lambo can lose it at slow speed and it's hard to get back this kind of does that oh and uh before we get before we go on track um I'm quite excited I've got that there's going to be a new video or two coming um probably about a week and it's something really exciting at least I'm really excited anyway I don't know if anyone else will find it exciting so I'm being sent something to review and it's really you know really got me excited uh I can't say what it is yet cuz there's um an embargo until September the 3 so about a week there's a there's an embargo then after that um yeah straight away I'll do an unboxing and uh and uh start the video so anyway let's go and so I worked out 144 4 L I'm going to need let's just see how much this holds first and then I can set up the pit strategy 108 so if I pit for let's set up a pit lower in the but it's going to I don't want it to get too under stey and it's just it's just at that point now where I can just about Corner reasonably quick but anymore and I don't think I could do it open these ducks a bit more in theory the more it's open then on those long straights if I have heated them up too much hoping that it'll cool them a bit only got 10 minutes left and this is [Music] qualifying oh yeah Dave it's the it's the McLaren and it's utterly terrifying I think I can get a good lap time out of it it's just I'm scared to push it well I suppose in quality it doesn't really matter but in the race I'm a bit nervous of how I'm going to I'm going to drive this in the race [Music] this is going to be one of them cars that you definitely don't want to risk making a set of tires last of the race it's it's got good lateral grip to throw it into a corner but that's when those left tires heat up don't really know what to do maybe drive really safely and not heat them up but once you're there racing with other cars you can't help but get racy and push it so fun if I'm able to rain rain it a that [Music] way right let's go this might be the last qual run no no all yeah cuz it can only hold 108 so that's if I've worked this out right I'm going to be short by about 30 l or you know 28 liters I think something like that only that's what you've gone for I've gone for 27 lers was here being five time this McLaren is so hard to keep the tires cool we don't have different compounds as an option do we it's just slicks is it uh you do on some of the cars not on these these are just slicks or wets yeah that's what I was saying earlier down even Tire in this CL yeah yeah it would be nice I mean some cars do have um selectable ones where you could mix a match but just not these I think it's probably because it's spec race yeah yeah I was GNA say I don't think GTS do different compound no no just wets and dries yeah lots of sandpaper maybe we could do with heating the tires up by having the ABS low and you know having it on the edge I could hear just little tiny lockups while the ABS is pulsing so I think this has helped may maybe that's why that setup that I tried earlier had eight on ABS maybe that's the you know managing the tires maybe that was the [Music] reason here is where it gets hard cuz you really feel like pushing it on those two right handers but soon end up with yellow [Music] tires so TC on 5 seems to be I can't hear any TI noise accelerating out of corners [Music] 30 minutes left [Music] it's 44 lap in this but that's going to push the tires if I try that I'm going to end up regretting it so ignore that time all carefully an easy [Music] it never driven a car that that forces you to manage your tires it's such like detail the little back ends going there need these size to go another 10 minutes nearly 10 minutes right ones uh fine F what is the we 89 and 90 on the right 88 and 87 on the left so a huge difference between them Tom I think it's capturing me up a bit I've just got to got get to the end going to lose a few places once I P looking forward to M next week's Mount Panorama um I've saved the Porsche which is my favorite so far with me favorite track so I'm really looking forward to that and then last one's in logos and uh that's where I've only got the genitor left to use and if I've worked it pretty much on par oh or was it or was it the McLaren and the PO that were on par no they were quite far apart actually I'm not compared the Janetta to to the Porsche so maybe the POR is quicker yeah I think the Porsche is my favorite porer yeah I basically was on here last night and over the weekend just doing J and PCH round here in Baur and the Janetta over the top of the mountain is unbelievably good but it can get eaten up a little bit on the straights yeah yeah on the straights so I thought okay the POR is my next favorite handling car so I I try and I what I couldn't do I got I got into the PO and I I was immediately a second quicker around BOS than I was in the Jetta yeah so thought [ __ ] it stay with you're playing yeah yeah it was always going to be Janette around here
