kind of in the same vein that uh to the purpose did or sorry not uh post report uh Zack Lancaster put out uh this article in regards to some of the guys that are coming in early obviously the early enroles will be a part of spring roster so some of those freshman will definitely be included we also got some number changes number one being deson stribbling going from Dez Bryant 88 to Dez Bryant number one and you know the last guy to wear number one in a cowboy jersey played wide receiver did pretty well for himself and Tay Martin um and typically right this was almost a ride of Passage just like it was a ride of passage for Dez Bryant to get to where number 80 in Dallas right because of Michael Irving wearing number one at Oklahoma State feels like a ride of Passage because of Dez Bryant so this makes a lot of sense uh and then you also had sesi bahi change his number from 20 to number three ironical enough he takes over for Jaden Nixon and he takes Jaden Nixon's number three jersey away from him Parker Robertson everybody remembers him he was the special team Savant on kickoff from number 39 now you going to watch number eight zooming into your screen and then kicker Logan Ward goes from 69 to 19 Calvin Harvey goes from 72 to 76 West Fall goes from 79 to 90 and then we get to talk about the body by glass stuff ladies and gentlemen we all know he do have the greatest strength coach in America for a multitude of reasons but last year we noticed uh that he averaged almost 17 pounds uh across the entirety of the rust right one of the top three in his entire career whenever you look at some players um that have made some gains this off season one of those is going to be kenel Daniels this makes perfect sense right because we've had discussions in regards to the conversation on finding ways to get Kendall Daniels closer up to the Box AKA want him to be coming downhill and smash you in the face a little bit more it's not that he's insufficient in coverage it's just that we didn't get to utilize uh his skill set to the best of his ability so kennel Daniels is morphing more and more and more into linebacker than your traditional safety but has the speed and the intangibles to roam around in the back end when necessary and with him still being able to roam the back end he's now added 11 lbs that frame which that's going to be absolutely disastrous for any anybody that just so happens to get another person that's up quite a bit is Rashad Owens now this isn't super surprising because previously in Rashad owens's career at Oklahoma State we needed him to slide over to tight end so him bulking up something we've had to ask of him in in the past I don't necessarily think this is something that's being asked of him per se but he back up to 2 pounds which is pretty close to what he was already rocking and rolling at when he was playing tight end position but he's already proven tied in he can play outside so he's going to be a little bit more of a matchup nightmare for not necessarily the high point of the catch or anything like that but his yards after catch should be reminiscent of a running back uh and then you got Dylan Smith Dylan jumped up 15 pounds going from 170 to 185 defensive tackle Aiden Kelly the fourstar G Oki who a lot of people expected a lot of big things previously talk is that this new 315 lbs that he's rocking and rolling suits him very well and it's allowing him to kind of still be limber enough to make it all make sense uh and then from The Freshman campaign of course you're going to have a lot of weight gain there you got safety cam Franklin up to 200 pounds or he put on just just over 10 pounds Jaylen po one of the biggest gainers put on 20 pounds in the offseason and ton Ray Jr the guy that we've been raving about as a traditional three- star guy that get that gets completely overlooked because of the new way in in recruiting rankings he's the big get for us and he's up 25 pounds like that's crazy H Gabe Brown the Stillwater Oklahoma linebacker is up from 225 to 240 as well and then you have somebody like Garrett Rangel who's put on 25 pounds in his time in Oklahoma State so he's he walked in the building at maybe 62 175 uh now he's 63 200 on the dot all day every day Body by glass is again nothing new like we we expect a lot of these guys to make these level of gains but it is nice to know which guys did a little bit more or just the ability to pack on a little bit more than most everybody else all right so let's finish rocking rolling through this uh roster here with the new additions that will be in Spring uh obviously number four AJ Green coming over from Arkansas is going to be a good thunder lightning package of course he's going to be the lightning side of the equation alongside cesie valah um and olle Gordon should do his thing then we have mayake Smith gonna wear number eight coming in from Junior per Sierra California Mr Tom Brady record breaker himself will be on campus enrolling early for the spring then we got Lon Cleveland will be rocking number 14 everybody remembers Lon Cleveland Big Time recruit that got offers from Texas and a few Big Time SEC schools chose to come to Oklahoma State you got Trey Griffith going to rock number 16 the only wide receiver that we really made sure to go get that came to Oklahoma State walking in at 6 fo3 200 pounds also wearing number 16 Willie Nelson the safety from Long View Tas on the other side of the ball uh you know the prognostications on him is somebody who should be competitive by his sophomore year level of spot obviously getting in the weight room is going to help him a decent amount but he makes up for a lot of his inability to grow with his ability to dominate on the field so I I expect him to be a contributor eventually as well Kobe Hilton the UTEP transfer coming over right walking in the building at 6 foot 21 pounds uh he's going to be rocket number 18 this year you have CJ Williams a running back red shirt freshman from Ardmore Oklahoma GNA be rocket number 22 kler Pearson 56 wide receiver from KU go figure he's going to be a fun one in the rotation there as well Bay another wide receiver red shirt freshman from Bourne Texas is going to wear number 32 number 35 you got baxer Robertson wide receiver from kulsa AKA cash a hall col morrris number 36 safety from Edmund Oklahoma David kabango rocket number 37 another one of those guys coming in that we expect within year two to be very very competitive for a spot on the two deep David gongo definitely going to be one of those you have Christen herd rocket number 39 safety coming in from KD Texas of course we all know about Josh Ford the tight end from Stiller high school walking in the building wearing number 40 to meric Johnson coming from meian Tas it's gonna be rocking number 46 Evan Smith number 49 uh 59 corner from arore Oklahoma Willie seals he's an offensive lineman from Deer Park Texas will be rocking number 50 Kaden Jones defensive end from Mustang Oklahoma will rock number 58 Wyatt Holmes offensive line from Ka rocks number 59 Zack McKinley will be Rock 60 from Mansville Legacy Isaiah glass the Arizona State transfer that started two and a half years at Arizona State he's going to be rocking number 72 we got Tyler Foster The Big Time 6 foot6 250 pound tight end rocket number 86 of course we got Marcus Dawkins Jr transferred in from OU he's going to be rocking number 89 and then Obi egbo is going to go from number 33 to number 90 2 upon transferring in from Ganon and then Armstrong notm will be man INE middle Rock 94 so that's uh obviously some of the new guys that are going to be coming into Oklahoma state that means that everybody we just talked about will be here in Spring including those Freshmen The Freshman we just mentioned are going to be the early and roll Le that will be blessing ster Oklahoma sooner rather than later speaking of uh getting things done and that is anywhere right just being an all American at almost any level is very difficult because that clearly means you're one of the best of the best of the best you know that Oklahoma state has a few all-americans and Kendall Daniels Colin Oliver and Holly Gordon right so whenever you look at the guys that are be coming in pretty soon to help Oklahoma State get ready for this season when you look at this bunch is there anybody in this Bunch that jumps off the map as Bonafide certified G guaranteed All-American level well I would say one for sure and that's day number one dejon stribbling because we only got to see a very small glimpse of what he could potentially possibly be and him coming in at you know 6 foot three 205 pounds this season's going to be massive for him and of course it should be very beneficial to the quarterbacks in the weight room right of course you've got Garett Rangel we already know what Zayn Flores was able to come in and do and then Alan Bowman uh he actually put on some weight as well almost 10 11 pounds in the off season maybe that'll make him a little bit more Nimble of foot or maybe it makes him a bulldozer that guarantees you should probably get out of his way but dejon stribbling could definitely be an All-American not only because he has the size he has the speed he has the talent but he has the work ethic to go alongside his reab he should be even better than the small glimpse that we got to see last season and before he was injured he was by far and away our best receiver he was leading allers in almost all categories before the injury the injury was early enough that not a lot of the the world got to witness is on stribbling could bring to Oklahoma State we got to see enough of it to make it make sense and then when you see the emergence of throughout the course of the Season alongside the emergence of Leon John third with what those guys were able to do they were ping in comparison to what dejon stribling was already doing so dejon stribling not only could be an All-American but if we put up the offensive output that we know we're capable of we're we definitely are going to have a thousand yard wide receiver I know I said the same thing last year we ended up just shy with our main man Brennan prisley showing up with the 951 yards but Theon stribbling should be at that thousand yard receiver if he is a thousand receiver and he continues to progress at the same level that he already you know been progressing at yeah he'll have an opportunity to be on this All-American list now out of the the new freshman coming in it's really really hard to speculate right we could speculate that if Landon Cel does everything he's supposed to do and he continues with his you know trajectory he could be an All-American you could say the same exact thing about tamaric Johnson right tameric Johnson's walk building 6 foot three right around the 200 pound range he's going to have to Body By Glass a little bit which isn't going to be a massive difficulty because whenever you look at the body by glass right um we get to put this perspective real quick so we have an incoming freshman that works out with some Iowa wrestlers so some of the offseason they did the Iowa wrestling you know workout routine pretty awesome right well after he got his um list from Rob glass he was like he why don't we actually do this Oklahoma State football workout instead of your Iowa wrestling workout and the guy was like yeah cool there's no way that Oklahoma State football workout is more difficult than an Iowa workout so bring it on like Donkey Kong well I tell you this after that workout was over the fellow that wrestles for Iowa said I don't want to do do that anymore I just want to go back to my Iowa wrestling uh weight room regimen so if that's any indication as to how absolutely insane the Rob glass system is there we go so Garett Rangel putting on 20 pounds not that big of a surprise Alan Bowman putting on 11 pounds Rashad Owens putting on 11 pounds Kendall Daniels putting on 11 pounds these things aren't necessarily big surprises Rob glass can get that out of pretty much anybody that's willing to put in the work put in the time but what this also does is it it really kind of shows us what the capabilities are for for some of these guys all right so back to potential All-American types right uh tamaric Johnson I think could could could get there Obi zbo has the talent I just don't know that he's going to get enough reps right I he's not I don't think he's going to get get every single down starter style of reps so the next on this list that I think could contribute and potentially being an All-American would be Tyler Foster the 6 foot6 250 pound uh transfer from Ohio now this is going to be difficult for it to take shape because we don't really use our tight ends in in this style of fashion right we don't necessarily use our tight ends as the focal point of the offense or even somebody who should be highlighted in the route Prix on every single you know every single play but we all know that we underused Blake jarwin we all obviously know that we severely underused gelani Woods just like we underused jiah Johnson Josiah Johnson had a fun he had a good year he's happy with his year me a little bit selfish okay I count times he was wide open and clearly he just wasn't part of the progressions and it was frustrating so regardless of his statistical output was on the season I think he could have doubled it so with that in mind if Tyler Foster is able to come in and kind of pick up right where Josiah Johnson left then we should have a tight end that can get in that that 250 350 100 yard range which the last person to do that was Blake jarwin I really think that Josiah Johnson had the talent to get there he should didn't have enough targets he didn't have enough perceptions for him to really take full advantage so if we are going to take the success of Josiah Johnson and we're going to try to expand on it as if Josiah Johnson was still here Tyler Foster might be that guy and this isn't me sleeping on Quinton Stewart I think Quinton Stewart is the jack of all trades you know Swiss Army enough style of guy and he could play a multitude of positions right now he could slide around he could play HB fullback whatever you kind of need him to do the cowboy back acronym kind of fit Quinton Stewart pretty well so it's not like Tyler Foster is not going to have some competition he will but he has the size the speed the intangibles and the athletic Pro properties that have allowed him to transition from his time at Ohio into Oklahoma State so far pretty seamlessly we'll obviously see how the spring goes but of course I definitely think dejon stribling is an allamerican Style guy I think Tamar Johnson could be I think Landon Landon Cleveland could be but David kabango might be someday Armstrong notm uh even say mayake Smith has all the intangibles to potentially be an All-American level type but of course dejon stribbling and then after de stribbling off of that list I would have to go Tyler Foster as the potential next guy in line to capitalize and Maxim I on some potential allamerican classifications or designations at the end of the year speaking of classifications and designations once you classify or designate your bank be the best assist assistant in all of college wrestling hands down not even close but then you got to look at the assistants that are like a lead way that seem to be dragging you down and preventing you from reaching whatever levels that you think are possible can you guys get guess who number one is if you guess Casey done you did good if you guess Rob Walton it's kind of like a 1 a 1B and that's kind of what we're talking about here Oklahoma State baseball the expectations are super regionals pretty consistently year in year out we need to be making trips to omal every couple years every few years what has kept Josh holiday so safe other than the fact that his name is Josh holiday he's a cowboy Legend yeah is the fact that we do have a few Big 12 titles without those big 12 titles I don't know that Josh holiday is viewed in the same light you have greatest facilities in the country again that's not my opinion that's coming from D1 baseball you got the nicest facilities in the country getting top-notch players to come to oklah state has never really been that difficult of a proposition especially because the state of Oklahoma is extremely talent in baseball even though we can recruit from sea to shining sea in baseball I don't know that we need to it's it's cool to have that luxury but that luxury will not exist anymore if it's not managed properly and whenever you see Major Leaguers that played at Oklahoma State take the mound it's like man you know the guy was a cowboy makes you feel all warm and fuzzy but then when you see some of these same guys doing the dagone thing in the major leagues it makes you kind of pause and you're like well hold on wait a second wait a second how do we have this many major leagues pitchers but the staff was never like you know ha so every year we've got an A major leager in the bullpen it's been pretty consistent the development is not typically happening in until they leave what's called Spade to Spade some of the top pitchers that performed at Oklahoma State that you now get to watch in Major League Baseball some of them aren't even throwing the same combination of pitches they threw in college some of them have changed their arm angles some of them have have changed a multitude of things but it's kind of reminiscent of what we saw with John Barfield in softball he was a legend a literal Legend as a head coach at Tulsa and then you you you expect that Legend acronym to be applicable at their next stop it wasn't Oklahoma State we rode Kelly Maxwell too much my D on Red Bull we rode Kelly Maxwell too much we didn't sprinkle in enough of the rest of the staff and now we have Carrie Eberly doing it and you're seeing a better result right one year removed from one of the greatest pitching coaches in all softball history and we're immediately seeing results so we all know why Rob Walton still has a job it's because he is a legend and a holiday I don't know maybe he just respects him too much they're too close they're they're too buddy buddy I don't know what it is but I do know that even people that don't follow baseball or or or coach baseball can see that whenever your pitcher gives up six seven eight runs why is he still in the game it don't matter what inning right it doesn't matter what game what tournament what format anytime any pitcher starts giving up six seven runs especially in one inning um what are you what are you doing why is he in the game sometimes pitching is it's difficult right sometimes you're just on and every single pitch is working sometimes you're just off and you have to lean on one pitch pretty heavily but again you know that stuff typically before you put the the guy in the game like I ask my pitchers all the time what are you feeling right what are you feeling right now is your Sinker working no okay is your slider working no okay well is your curve but what do you feel right now warming up is your best pitch every pitcher knows what's working before they step on the mount and sometimes while you're on the you can kind of figure out some stuff but the scuffs on the ball matter the the depth of the laces matter how New or Old the ball is it matters these little things matter to pitchers and it matters because rate matters you don't have to be an expert you don't have to be a pitching coach to visibly see this ain't working oh they hit three home runs and two doubles well let's give them a couple more batters no that's the same thing with Casey dun offense coordinator if you've put up 13 points point the entire game you got to do something you have to do something different you can't run the same things you've been running adjusting on the Fly is what make assistance good why I love Brian Nardo well the second and third quarters of several games we had our doors blown off but how many wins did we get because our fourth quarter defense stopped allowing touchdowns good assistance make adjustments bad assistants don't make good adjustments bad coaches keep those assist now we all know Mike gun's not a bad coach complacent at one time sure bad no why is Casey Dunn still on the the roster this season well I guess when you return like 21 starters Drunk Monkey should be able to make that competitive I'm I'm assuming that's the mindset here but let me know down in the comments section what you find folks think
