yeah the victory means a lot uh the game was one that we built into we had to I think get used to the pitch as well it was like really bouncy and with a lot of long balls it kind of caught us off guard in some occasions but I think we built into the game really nicely and uh I think we deserve to win at the end of the day and can you tell us what you saw in that goal haer coming up the field you're just making the Run uh what did you see and did you know as soon as you got the ball that it was going in yeah so as as soon as the ball broke I knew that there was a chance that I would find it on the back post because they played with really high Wing backs so there was a lot of space in transition so as soon as it the ball fell to Rafer I know his quality and he was going to find me so all I had to do was just stay composed and make sure I put it on Target and I saw the way the keeper was coming out and he was coming out like kind of aggressive and trying to play m games with me so I just slutted it underneath and Philly was quick to equalize and then up the score uh what was the message at halftime and how did Philly test you in this game and right up until the end you knew that you had to get the job done in PKS yeah they make it very difficult they played with really high fullbacks as I said so it brought us the the Wingers me and Cole very deep at times so there was a lot of defensive responsibility and work rate and I'm sure if you asked Connor and olle they did a lot of running today about like running left to right the whole game so it was a big output physically um but also mentally going down again and coming back to you know level the game and go to penalties and Zach stepan might have had the biggest performance throughout this tournament um you know what have you seen from him and just a calm veteran presence maybe leading in the locker room on the field going into high stress situations like we have in uh PKS in this tournament yeah first off with Zack he's a great guy he's easy to get on with and around the changing room off the pitch he's he's top so seeing him as well get a bit of credit for his work this tournament I think is fly deserved and I'm extremely happy for him and we're happy to have him on our team and what kind of growth do you think that you've gotten throughout this tournament and what the team has been able to build through this tournament to propel into the rest of the regular season I think it should give us a lot of confidence going into the rest of the season and always we have to also think about keeping on top of ourselves and our performances you know in some games we had to fight and struggle and I think we can take that into the regular season and hopefully into the playoffs at the end of the game and now that you've got the Champions Cup forth for 2025 uh what makes you most excited for that tournament and what do you expect out of it well I mean it's a a while away we have a lot to get going first for the rest of this year but I'm just happy to be a part of it I've never played in that competition obviously and I've never seen it as well so I'm interested to see what it's like next year
