charged with assaulting a female tii doctor when she has allegedly trespassed on his property the incident occurred on February 24th at a pool Villa housing project on yamu beach in puket the Swiss occupant of the house identified as David was accused of kicking the back of a doctor after finding her sitting on the steps leading to his compound the incident triggered an uproar among locals who demanded the ouer of the Swiss National from puket and the revocation of his Visa it also led to an investigation into whether the luxurious housing estate was encroaching onto public land the court to me it's uh it's baffling staying in Thailand in Bangkok an American t-shirt arrested for assaulting a student an American language teacher in Bangkok has been arrested on serious charges involving the alleged abuse of a 14-year-old student the American 41-year-old Robert looy Keller was apprehended yesterday September 3rd by officers following a distressing report from a girl's mother the incident began on February 16th when the girl's mother sent her daughter to school as usual after school the girl told her mother that she would be spending time with her friends however when the mother attempted to contact her daughter later in the afternoon she was met with silence despite making over 20 calls within 2 hours the worried mother received no response eventually the girl called back claiming she was at a shopping mall alone a statement that raised alarm Bells as she rarely ventured far from home without permission the truth surfaced weeks later on March 6th when the girl school teacher informed the mother that Keller had allegedly taken the girl to his condo in Ben Kai District this Revelation came to light after a concerned friend of the Tha girl reported the incident to the teacher who immediately notified the mother according to allegations Keller acted inappropriately by holding hands and hugging the girl at his condo the mother promptly lodged a complaint with the police leading to Keller's arrest on charges of have taken for indecent purposes and abducting a minor from a parent or Guardian Keller who denies the accusation insist that the girl was at his condo solely for study purposes a teacher behaving inappropriately regardless of whether she was there for studying or not I don't think it's wise for a 41y old to take a 14 or 15-year-old back to his condo despite being a teacher the Optics don't look good and also you need permission I suppose cuz I mean that just seems inappropriate to me but let's see what the outcome is is being accepted yearly and you'll never know the background of these people I'm content with the pace of the Philippines tourism uh with a calculated Target of 10% increase per year that this year has targeted 7.6 million so that the authorities will not be swarmed and can monitor them I do agree with uh that extra tourism a lot of people in the country can definitely lead to more problems however as far as like uh controlling the people and all that cuz whenever you enter the Philippines there really isn't much uh the authorities keep track of really you just put on put whatever you want on the form and nobody actually corroborates that or verifies it you could put in I'm I'm a teacher I could put in I'm a doctor I could put in I'm here for 3 weeks but come like leave in 6 months so I don't agree per se with keeping control in that sense however I do agree that the more people in a country the more chances of things going bad but if you're happy with the tourism in the Philippines then that's great I think Thailand's expecting over 30 million people by the end of this year and that's another thing I want to know from you guys do you think there's a problem with over tourism in Thailand and some other countries we all know what happened with like Spain and Greece and Italy some of these places recently and Japan they put quotas on the number of people that can actually enter those specific cities and now they're charging giving tourists money just like a basically an entry fee into the city itself I would love to know because I think a lot of it came back
