[Music] [Applause] the Sooners will kick it away to start us off and the ball will make it into the end zone no return on that one for a [Music] [Applause] Touchback three tight ends in the formation on First and 10 try to get it to the edge that's the kind of play that can really get you going as they get it out to the 36 I'll tell you what you want to quiet this crowd down you want to do something demoralizing to your opponent establish the Run game early on offense they've got it at the 36 it's a first and 10 they'll toss it to the [Applause] left and he doesn't find much Running Room a short gain on the play and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they're focused in on this running back on this run game being physical getting knockbacks and limiting his carries pretty good effort on that one to work his way up to the 42 that didn't bust for a long one but now third down becomes very manageable it's not third in eternity now the whole Playbook short passing game long passing game all of it's AV the give to the tail back he's got first down yardage across the 50 they'll mark it at the 49 and I think on that last run play on third down here early in the game they're making a statement that we believe we're the more physical team and we're going to run the football even if you know it's coming at you nice job they've got the ball at Midfield I expect to see more One play coming they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one that is a great great play by the defensive end the most athletic players on the field play defensive end Yes you heard me Jess Reese exactly what I said great get off great job getting the Back Field making the play still running at the 40 he's one out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down I think it's really important for this offense they get this guy going early in the game and they're doing a nice job of that right now remember he's the kind of running back who gets better at as the game goes on that's a really good omen for this offense considering his success now early power football with the Run they make the Stop and that'll bring the first quarter to a close [Applause] start the quarter offense about to snap it on second down trying to get the corner slammed to the ground but not before he gets the first down this defense really is on their heels they've been on the field now for a long time on this drive and they're just getting pushed around at the point of attack up front like we saw in that last play they'll try the outside to the left not a lot of daylight there let's give him one to the 14 this is a hard defense to run to the outside against because of their speed you saw in that last play their ability to go sideline to sideline win at the point of attack as they shut down that sweep play yeah it's also hard when you get in the red because what do we do on defense we bring in all the big bodies so there's not a lot of space in there to run I like getting the ball in the perimeter you toss it out there your running back he gets out there faster got a positive game still a couple plays are left to pushes toward the goal line he pushes it forward all the way to the 2yd line the Big Fellas line up in a goal line defense he's going to the right looking for a path to the end zone and he takes it to the house touchdown out well your opponent can't beat you if you don't give them the football and they were able to possess it throughout the entire first quarter and they finally cap it off with that impressive rushing touchdown lining up to tack one more onto that lead and the extra point is good and it's 7 nothing they put it in the end zone with a 12pl scoring drive and finish to deal with the short touchdown run from the [Applause] two no reason to risk trying to field that one as it skips through the end zone it'll be a Touchback first down here for the offense they'll start this drive with a pass taking a shot on the first play makes it catch on the left and he's brought down after a huge completion and the Sooners want to crank the tempo first the dropping back it's cnick he'll take another shot here broken up incompleted nearly intercepted In The End Zone it'll be second down oh what a missed opportunity for that interception yes I know he gets the pass break up but he had a chance to finish things off and he really didn't get it done but there's a reason he plays defense you know they put the guys on offense that can actually pressure coming going to try to get it himself they finally make the Stop and he shows why he is dangerous On The Run two and he's got a first down these guys aren't human anymore I mean they got to survey the field throw the football make deep passes and then guess what else they pull the ball down take off and make big chunks of plays on the ground it's just impossible to be on defense now and he'll step out of bounds after a very productive play nice job there good timing between the QB and the wide receiver executing that out rout going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down motion from the offense quick pass on the jet motion into to the end zone touchdown sooner yeah and the passing game comes through man and we need more of that in the second half an extra point away from tying this football game you Trail a little bit in the first half stayed calm if this passing game can continue to heat up look out in the second half [Music] [Music] and now they'll try to get the two-point conversion guys snap in the shotgun just a little off incomplete yeah and the defense comes up with the Stop and you just wonder the analytics world and all that stuff that whatever the card says to do you're supposed to do I wonder if they were listening to that card from inside his own 15 looking for room and the Return Man reaches the end of the line and down he [Music] [Applause] goes the FAU offense will return to the field they've got some time to work with here Jessie if they get a first down they might really get aggressive I'd be aggressive right out of the gate I'd be throwing for a first down if I get it then pedal to the metal I'm in that two-minute mode to try to score a touchdown or get but I do think this is a situation where you also have to understand that I have the lead going into the half I've got the momentum so don't do anything stupid here just wanted to find a little space to run and E out some to get it up to the 21 nice job there by the running back they toss it to him and he's able to kind of weave his way for a very good game for this offense after the strong run on second down third down coming do they do it again at the 35 he's open and there they go again with another huge gain on the ground he's finally run out of bounds and third down they keep it on the ground with their playmaker they give him the football they got so much confidence in this guy and their offensive line and they get the first first down listen just to be on the field on third down as a running back means you've got to be versatile right you got to be able to catch the ball you got to be able to block but if they want to hand it off to you on third down too you got to be able to go find a way to keep the drive alive this dude has all the tools in the toolbx FAU working with a fresh set of downs the offense waste no time getting the timeout call time out at now on first down from the [Applause] 40 trying to turn the corner on the right he locked up and held on to bring him down they'll immediately call timeout well this defense obviously knows they have to be able to stop the run now in the second half if they're going to win this game and you wonder if they were able to make some tweaks some adjustments at halftime maybe getting some more bodies close to the line of scrimmage to give themselves a chance to come back in this game they'll switch it up here and look to throw P it in his hands for the score and let it fall in the turf it'll be third down perfect timing got there right when the ball got there didn't get there a little bit early saving the touchdown nice timing by that Defender grabbed in the middle it's belly they've got it just outside the Red Zone they'll move the chains it's at the 21 the offense burns his third and final timeout of the half Florida Atlantic and with just a few seconds remaining here in the first half they'll try to kick a field goal defense going to call a timeout here and give the kicker a little something to think about he'll try to knock it through from 38 yds out and in the waning seconds of the first half they'll try to put up three before going to the break field goal is good and the field goal to end the half takes it to halftime [Music] FAU will try to kick it deep and break the seal on this second [Applause] half and he takes this from inside the five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 guys we'll get another look at this Oklahoma offense tight game as we start the third quart and we'll see what type of adjustments they made it Happ he unleashes a long one he's got it on the left oh look out there he goes touchdown Oklahoma they take the lead with the six how about that quarterback taking the shot downfield and delivering to the wide open receiver I love this quarterback re cuz he's aggressive he wants to take shots he's looking for every opportunity to show off that Cannon mat arm town he showed it to all of us right there lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive just one of those mistakes it can't happen is a kickoff goes out of bounds the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty they've got the Big Fellas out there a three tight end look on First and 10 on the run it's Judkins and they'll bring him down after a short pick up and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some plays in the passing game but you got to stop the run first now they'll run it on the toss tackled but he has a first down and David how demoralizing does it have to be for a defense when you know they're going to run it everyone in the stadium knows they're going to run it and still you cannot stop there there's nothing more demoralizing as a defensive lineman because it just it ticks you off it gets in your head you you know that guy's going to come off and smack you and you got to do something about it I think the defense may be time to start committing more guys to stopping that run not worrying about the passes much last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 looking downfield it's Howard and he just flat dropped it I think he wanted to run before he secured it yeah and you use these running backs so much in the passing game now and you expect him to make those plays for you to make those big explosive plays out of the back field just got to make sure he concentrates and see that ball come in he'll take a shot throw to the end zone it's picked off and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception well the defense was expecting pass on that one third and long the dial up the perfect cover and a great job in the back end reading and reacting to the quarterback when the ball was in the air coming away with a massive interception so Oklahoma has it again and here comes the offense boy that last touchdown the oneplay quick strike scored Jesse this offense hoping to keep that kind of explosiveness going and I don't know if they're going to get the same looks defensively because of just how explosive that play was Rees David they may be seeing a little bit more uh off coverage on this drive and maybe some sof boxes to run into and when you make that kind of explosive play you're going to put the defense on its heels they're going to be a little bit more conservative so this offense approach now maybe I don't have to go deep I can go a little bit shorter and just make those easy plays in the air he almost picked up the first down on that one but he'll be just a little bit short well in that down in distance you're probably expecting him to throw it way down the field to get the first instead they go push pass and they did catch the defense off guard and even though that was a big explosive play D they still didn't have enough yards to get it well and catch me off guard is relative that's what you would say the offensive player I would say listen we're playing a little bit deeper because we're not going to give up a first down we react to the short stuff and obviously that's a quick easy pass from the offense rally up make the play Live to fight another down on fourth down trying to keep the drive alive with the run here they stop him short of the marker and they'll turn it over on Downs this should be the last play of the quarter leaves it with the back discards a man touchdown foror the Atlantic he ran through tackles like water through a s another rushing touchdown that's now two on the game this offense thought they could come into this one running the ball being the more physical team and they look like it right now getting set for the point after and the extra point is good and it's a four-point lead that's taking advantage of a golden opportunity set up with great field position and they struck quickly for the touchdown they're just about ready to kick it [Applause] away here he comes from inside his own five he had visions of Glory on that return but he'll step out of Bounds at the [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 29 now the Oklahoma offense will go back to work we'll see if that failed fourth down in their own end last time David sort of curbs some of the aggressiveness when you hear about it all the time in football go for it be aggressive the problem is when you get stopped sometimes it put you in and Jesse now the offense has to come out and respond they were real disappointed not getting that first down you can see it on the sideline so let's just see if that's kind of galvanized them a little bit here to go make a statement and get some points after the productive first down play it's second and six back to pass it's cnick got his man quickly and the defense had that one well covered just a short game there they were able to make the completion but he had to pick his way for just a little a little bit needed a little more help to Spring him for some yardage yeah if you're going to have success when you throw it outside like that you're going to need some more blocking and better blocking downfield give the defense credit though they were able to rally and made it tackle they've got the screen set up good tackle there to stop him short of the first down it'll bring up a big decision we have reached the two-minute warning and time is of the essence if this offense is going to make a play it's a onore game late and they've got to go for it on fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down incomplete on fourth down and man did they need to keep that drive alive nice job by this defense in a clutch moment you knew they were going to throw the football fourth down great coverage break on the football Force the incompletion and more importantly you get the ball back to your offense with a chance to just run this clock and get out of here with a win they'll run the ball the clock is on their side and a good solid pick up before the defense Cuts him down now on second down and we'll probably see another run and that might do it if they can get a first down they'll go right back to the Run they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one timeout called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as possible offense breaks the Huddle on third down [Applause] trying to seal the edge on the right offenses gain momentum with third down conversions like that they've got it at the 25 and the owls with the first and 10 nowhere to run on that when he loses four on the carry quick timeout call by the defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense they'll leave it with him and he was able to run through one tackle but still only a modest gain a little less room to work with now as the ball is at the 28 and it's third and long on the run it's Judkins defense uses a out the clock stopped with 17 seconds left so on fourth down here comes the field goal kicker in a huge spot splits the upright it's good that's a huge kick right there because now the opponent has to score a touchdown here in the fourth quarter that put so much pressure on the opponent nice job by the Special Teams going out and executing in a big move he'll start to return inside the spot he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 got to get everybody lined up quickly time winding away and they've got to push the ball down the field he's looking to throw it he's going up top here late in the game he just about put this game away if he've been able to hold on to that one instead it's second down no time to waste here they've got to get set and pick up chunk yardage on second down he'll try to make the connection and the pass is incomplete and the ball game is over and this will be a game of what might have been looking back on it this game probably Falls precisely into the definition of a trap game trap was set sprung and The Underdogs come up with the win and that's why we go you know what I don't take your rankings I'm not worried about your rankings they don't matter to me we're going to go out and beat this team we're better than this team a lot of time those rankings don't mean a lot to a lot of people and you can tell it didn't mean a lot to these team and that's why they came out and pulled the upset absolutely David I mean that's why you play the games this team knew they had to come out they were going to have to put their best foot forward in order to get the W they did just that
