yet again here T not only is she one of the best she's one of the nastiest who has a gun tattoo on the side of their hi and she goes out there she's got that thing loaded that gun to me symbolizes the right hand and the right kick of Valentina Chef Cher she's the first she's a great counter Striker she sets traps beautifully and if you overand or you attack quickly she will finish you on the feet and she can also finish you on the ground just a phenomenal mixed martial artist is Valen Chef J and if she gets a first round knockout tonight DC has agreed to get that gun tattooed on his message it Carla Esparza loss in 2019 she had lost three of five and nobody envisioned her as a future UFC champion but she has stayed committed to the cause every step of the way her grappling Improvement has all right here we go with round one a special feeling in the air as Valentina shevchenko gets back on the proven ground here tonight she has said and I quote this opponent gives me the perfect canvas upon which to paint a masterpiece what does that mean exactly I kind of feel like Valentina shevchenko might be highlight chasing here we'll see how she approaches the early portions of this and she goes to it early in this well she understands that the boxer has a WID split stance because she wants to get forward with the jab but every time she throws the jab she opens herself up to the throws her feet as easily as most men and women throw their H she does everything Valentine SLE is just a rare and special talent she can mix things up when you think she's going to be punching and kicking she's wrestling she's got submission she can just do it [Applause] all great commitment to the kicking game this this just over two minutes to go in round one and she finally gets the take down here she kept on trying she knew it some point she was going to be able to take this fight down certainly got her down here and with style points and just inches away from Landing one of those big right hands oh nice hook there by Gro a big she's staying busy here connecting with those punches nice combination by The Champ oh an instinctive land there as she goes to the jab DC nicely done that jab is stopping her in her tracks is not only a rangefinder she is really damaging her opponent behind the jab oh big head land oh oh there's the single big combination here of ground and pound strikes nice work by Chef chenko oh nice headit loock that's it pretty deep oh great submission defense as she gets out raso's back in full guard now 45 seconds to go here in round one this continues to apply pressure here in half G oh beautiful reversal on the ground and now she's got the dominant position scramble SC oh right into Mount that was a slick transition chevchenko gets back up again 20 seconds left and danger in the engagement there oh nice kick oh big elbow chevchenko nose is bleeding now looks to be cut perhaps there on the bridge all right that's the end of the round and the fighter has a cut on her nose so that is something that certainly Bears watching moving forward cut man racing in there he'll try to seal that cut she doesn't seem too bothered by it but certainly something we'll keep an eye on here moving forward all right things are getting interesting folks she is back to the stool appears to be breathing okay but a huge cut on the bridge of her nose yeah when you get cut there it's hard to breathe your mouth starts to go open a little bit but the blood becomes an issue she was not locked in defensively and that punch right there opened up the cut on the bridge of her nose you ready to fight ready all right let's get to round two well pretty good showcase for these two women in the previous round as our next round gets underway some R Management in the previous 5 minutes there this is a big moment for both of these Fighters somebody is really going to have to make a decision that they are the one that's going to get their hand raised the previous round was way too close raso going with the kick to the body but unable to find the range and she continues to effectively use the jab here much like she did in the previous round until the opponent can stop it you got to go back to it nice strike ooh big shot [Applause] land I mean that is a big shot to the head I cannot believe she's still standing oh there we go oh nice right hand by you are you have a a fighter in front of you who is so disciplined who is so sharp you have got to get on your bicycle you got to get on the outside limit the damage get between rounds and then try to reset CU right now this cut is only getting worse chef shenko get the taked down let's see how she chooses to proceed from here oh good work from her here from bottom position good work from the top here by Valentina shevchenko that was nice all right she's got north south position now all right well she told us she was the best boxer in this Division and certainly the film tonight Doug tail with that opinion her hands are on point you know John every time they say that I'm the best in this I kind of Ru my eyes because I'm like you can't be the best at every but she has proven tonight that she has the best hands we have not seen her look this good and it's her volume it's her accuracy it's all that it's everything that she's doing that's allowing for me to form this opinion that is in line with what she told us this week [Applause] earlier one minute now to go round two on point with that jab today it's amazing how visibly discouraged she is after getting stunned earlier in the round it's not as though she was knocked down she is still very much in this fight but she has lost every moment since she's been getting beat now beat to the punch she got hurt she's not doing a good job of building back and dealing with the adversity that she was dealt earlier in the [Applause] r everything hard shots landing on both sides here oh how clean is that nice strike oh she works the body as well as anybody in this division another strike there and these shots are really going to take their toll as this fight moves on two rounds in the books that's what I'm talking about handle your pressure you got that that one's all you all right so there's the horn the round is over and we've got more fighting it looked like maybe we'd get a finish there after she landed upstairs well she was excited she thought it was done how does she reshift how does she get herself back in the moment to try to repeat what she she just did but also pop it and actually get the Finish you ready to fight ready round three of a possible five all right we have arrived at our next round a huge five minutes upon us here in terms of theer trajectory for both of these women and this is the moment where somebody's going to have to bite down on the mouth guard and make a decision a determination that you will not be deny bite down on the gum Shield ladies bite down just misses with a left hook with so much confidence every time she throws she believes that she is going to land into this point she has done just [Applause] that oh there's the swing and there's the Miss by grao chevchenko is blocking well now you see the fighter raise the guard to protect that obviously damaged nose well not just a high output fight to this point but a high accuracy fight as well both Fighters have absorb a lot of damage this far these two women have both fought so valiantly they have really laid it out on the line tonight and it's made for a very fun [Applause] fight oh my goodness what a kick oh nice jab up top by Gro back and forth we go Grasso's nose is cut now and she's starting to deal with some blood in that area shot by her there I'm not sure her opponent knows where she is she's in the Octagon she can't possibly know where she is right now after taking such a massive head well it looked like we were going to get a finish she had her rocked pretty good but she wasn't able to close the show she wasn't able to find the kill shot she hurt her very badly she was not able to find that shot that fight all right so we'll see how soon she goes to the single leg Tak down goes for it right there and get I mean when we spoke to her earlier in the week she told us what she was going to do it's insane to watch her implement it so beautiful grosso's in full guard man she's got it all going with the hands with the feet tonight and that cut is really becoming a factor now as this Fight Continues yeah she's got to move j she's got to get on her bicycle she's got to get to the middle of the round so that the cut man can get to work because the more she's in there the more she tries to fight face first the more that cut is going to open up she's got to get moved half guard position for her here and if you're the bottom fighter this is truly a case of pick your poison yeah you got to pick your poison and if you're on the bottom you got to be trying to find a way to escape that bottom leg you cannot allow your opponent you cannot allow her to sit on your leg and just throw big damage and Strikes you got to make sure you're on an elbow control and under hook and getting back to your feet she's stepping over in the mou here all right so the ladies make their way back to the feet nice job by her there and the crowd is just lapping it up yeah they're loving her willingness to fight to get back to her feet she never accepted being on the bottom so even though it was difficult she got it done and now she looks to impose herself on her opponent nice kick yep chevchenko eye appears to be closing up by the second nice head kick oh nice elbow effective punch from the clinch there by chevchenko it me not look like she's hurt uh to The Blind Eye but she's getting stunned you keep taking that it'll be a short night oh huge connection fire there massive shot land how's she going to try to find the next shot that'll finish the fight CHF jenko's nose is just donating blood by the second here I'm not so sure that nose isn't broken DC take down attempt late in the round and she gets it oh well played there as she gets back to her feet look at the control in the posture as that big knee lands all right 20 seconds to go in the r oh she blocked the kick there nicely done final second round three that's three rounds we're now headed to the championship rounds all right so with some urgency the cutman making his way inside the Octagon here at the end of the round quickly they get her back to the stool they got to work on that cut and quickly well she's dealing with a pretty big cut now we'll see if we can isolate exactly where it happened in that previous round man she took what way too many shots in round one she was not being responsible defensively and ultimately she is paying for it because now she's having a real tough time dealing with that cut you ready to fight ready we have arrived at the fourth round fight scheduled for five five minute rounds all right here we go I'm excited man fourth round is underway as we hit these Championship rounds both of these women with a lot still left in the tank or so it seems they did a great job of preparing thems for look at that leg kick she rounds her opponent now could be the beginning of the end sh she hurt her very badly with that big leg kick look at that leg ooh what a punch this this yes well that strike is blocked the counter with the inside leg kick is not nice job by shev shenko oh huge Superman punch back and forth we go one of the better fights of the Year unless of course you like defense a lot of damage being doled out on both sides a lot of damage being doled out both of these women are doing a great job of standing on the quarter standing in a phone Boo and just beating each other up it's going to come down to the heart though determine who wins this fight pretty good work with the ground and pound here by chevchenko these ground strikes really started to add up there's another one chevchenko in half guard way to kick her off and try to get some space to get up chevchenko is able to land another strike right there right on the previously damaged nose no surprise to see the fighter continue to attack that part of the opposition hey well she's been good tonight but she missed with that [Applause] one just over three minutes to go chevchenko is really bleeding heavily now that cut is only getting worse by the mdle and that's spinning kicked out at home up top this is big that's big well hard to win fights in mixed martial arts from the bottom but nice work here in that position by Gro she's got one of the best arm barss in the business going for it now oh she's got the arm tight she's got it isolated oh she's out Wow way to stay calm in a tough situation to defend that arm scramble and go scramble and go all right nice transition into full guard if you're the top fighter where do you go from here try to posture up get some big grounding pound off which will lead to you passing the half guard really nice job blocking that shot good fight here under two to go trying to kick the leg out well beautiful placement on that flying knee theut fight oh how good is that jab by Gro oh combination lands for her there it's hard to recall a past fight of hers in which her striking has looked this fluid in pinpoint she's sharp as a tack sharp as a tack everything is landing she's doing a great job oh huge connection fire there massive shot land how's she going to try to find the next shot that'll finish the fight oh my goodness what a right hand there you go there you go one minute to go on the round CHF jenko in half guard nice all right she's got her in a crucifix now I would think attempting a choke now it's tight good job by the champ there sliding back up all right so she's able to work her way back to her feet now effective punch there by shev shenko Big Shot land for both guys 15 seconds Roso gets caught by the inside leg kick 20 minutes down five to go all right so there's the horn signifying the end of the Round And they better get going on that cut I would not say it's critical per se but getting more severe by the moment that refocus all right she is back to the stool but dealing with a really big cut on the bridge of her nose she has eaten Jabs for breakfast lunch and dinner yeah she's taken far too many shots to the nose big shots devastating shots and now she is wearing it she's got a cut on her nose and she's having to deal with the blood and still her opponent trying to take her head off ready to fight ready and Final Round nice body shot she's so fast so straight everything just perfect everything perfect every strike every kick every punch everything's just perfect look at the inside leg kick she grounds her opponent now could be the beginning of the end sh she hurt her very badly with that big leg kick oh punches and [Applause] [Music] punches land that beautiful jab she missed with that jab oh nice shot to the body connects for her there somewhat surprising we didn't see a lot of bodyw work from her earlier in the fight but she is getting after it now yes just misses with the right oh nice nice take down there you go Oh in the M this is a terrible position well no surprise here she backs off and welcomes her opponent back to the feet certainly a strong front runner for fight of the night as we go down to the wire here between these two combatants they're both so skilled they're both so prepared we knew right away this is going to be a very evenly matched competition oh huge connection fire there massive shot land how she going to try to find the next shot that'll finish the fight oh nice high kick under three minutes remain in this Fifth and Final Round oh my goodness how about it so how about this result tonight she told us in the fighter meeting I got to get a finish here tonight she absolutely kept the judges out of it that is her signature win and this crowd enjoyed every minute of it signature win John she has never looked better she said she was going to get a finish she got the finish what a tremendous performance by this young
